Best shrimp burrito I’ve ever had. Hard to find parking and usually very crowded inside, but that’s because the food is so good. English is not so good, but you are walking into a Mexican market so i kinda expect that. Staff isn’t rude, but I wouldn’t say they are present either. Overall, the food is excellent and I highly recommend you try it.

This sight of a chaotic scrum, with family members moving in and out of it, may compel you to determine that its not worth it to wait behind so many people for tacos and to leave. I advise you to stay the course. You came here for a reason, and the line moves surprisingly quickly. Youll observe that the volume of humanity and number of orders that this place briskly handles is impressive, with most people leaving with large bags filled with take-out boxes of tacos, menudo, and prepared meats. Also, notice that every customer here is of Latino descent, which means youve stumbled upon something legitimately special tucked into this market in Mira Loma.Order the Taco de Camarón (Shrimp Taco) when you get to the front of the line. The somewhat crispy, somewhat chewy bits of chicharrón inside will remind someone who does not often eat chicharrón tacos of bacon bits, except these are absolute hell on your molars, or whichever teeth you use to try to grind them away. You can feel your teeth shifting in their sockets as you try to chew this stuff, and that cant be a good thing. El Torito Meat Market y Taqueria provides a different salsa verde on this taco: more tangy, more fruity, with a nice bright, raw heat. The taco has a good enough flavor overall, but the saltiness and stout texture keeps this several large notches below the superior Shrimp Taco served here.Fried cebollitas and chile toreados are given away on the side with the tacos at El Torito Meat Market y Taqueria. Use these on the tacos, or do like me and pop them straight into your mouth. As with the prodigious tacos they accompany, they are representative of the generous portions and magnificent value that can be obtained from this operation.

Super Mexican mini store with a delicious restaurant inside. Tiny little treasure for your Mexican and Hispanic groceries. I love cheese and they have this one like cacique brands except its not and its super super delicious. I have tried almost everything on the restaurants menu and I suggest you do the same, of course not in one sitting.

I had heard great positive reviews about this place. Honestly it wasnt all that. The food lacked flavor. I ordered the shrimp burrito which I was swore it was OMG. The shrimp had no seasoning and the salsa verde avocado also lacked flavor and heat. I also got the carnitas tacos and again the meat wasnt well seasoned. The chorizo tacos were actually decent but Ive had better. The salsa roja tasted just ok again no salt/seasoning. I do give them credit for fast service. My large order was ready in 10minutes. The ladies were very polite and attentive! Would I come back? No, I wouldnt!

It can get busy, but there is a reason for that. This place has some of the best burritos. I suggest calling in ahead if you are going sitting peek times. Also, the dining area is very small, so you are best to take it home. Still totally worth it though.Its also a small market as the name suggests, but I often go just for the take-out.

I came all The way from long Beach because I hear the food was good. But I have to say the carnitas n buche was really salty n the chicharones super hard I wont buy that anymore. But might go back to try the menudo.

This used to be my go to place for shrimp tacos but something happened as they are not good at all anymore. Shrimp they are now small, hard and have absolutely no taste. Spent a lot on 8 tacos and couldnt get through eating two since it tasted like cardboard. Deep fried onions and green sauce are still good but not enough to go spend hard earned money. It hurts me to put such a negative review but I wouldnt want anyone else to have the same disappointing experience as I did.

Lazy afternoon with tacos n beer, who could ask for more. I’ve lived in the area for over 10 years and never noticed this place. Picked up some carne asada yesterday for grilling (excellent btw) and saw they had tacos, burritos, and soups.So here I am today. The shrimp taco is fabulous, the pastor taco was pretty good.Def coming back for burritos, menudo, and birria.

This review is just for the restaurant portion only. The little place was packed when I got there. The service was great! The young girl behind the counter was very pleasant and the food came out fast. The cooks were super busy trying to keep up with the orders. There were people walking out with orders of 5-10 burritos and that is no exaggeration. Our food was delicious. We took carnitas and chicharrónes to go. If you can give it a try.

This is your stereotypical hidden gem or hole in the wall establishment, that I would have otherwise never even knew existed, but from that friendly recommendation!I came here and got the fish tacos, and it was absolutely delicious... Perfectly cooked and seasoned fish makes me want to keep coming back for more.This establishment is completely family run and operated, and although I didnt come here for the market options, I was told their carne asada was some of the best to take home and grill.
