First time trying this restaurant and was impressed by the pictures of the plantain crusted salmon. I also decided to try the shrimp macaroni and cheese.. However, when I opened the meal I was disappointed since it didnt appear as pics. It seem like it was missing the plantain. Gonna give them a second try though. First 2 pics is what I got. Last 2 is what inspired my order.
Had a great time. From the very personal Service to the fact that I felt the place was there for just the few people there this evening. Delicious food, good drinks, good music and such of a laid back atmosphere, absolutely Loved it!!!! Highly recommended to anyone in the area without having to drive far.
My wife read great reviews on NextDoor app and set my expectations very high. She even made reservations for Saturday night. When we arrived, the place looked like an improvised warehouse made restaurant with basic furniture and decoration. Then, the waiter insisted on giving us a specific table when there were plenty of empty tables (actually, the place was around 30% occupied). We had to ask the manager to get another table. Then, we found out that it wasnt a romantic or quiet diner: the Latin music was blasting a laser lights were dancing around the place in such a manner that reading the menu or listening to my wife required a Buddhist concentration. As a vegetarian, I am always lucky to find options everywhere with the help of some combined creativity between waiters and me. Not here! Only South western salad. No changes, no options. After explaining the waitress that I was vegetarian, she asked if I wanted to add chicken or shrimp to the salad but I declined. I was grateful to the Universe that it wasnt as worse at it could be. The music louder and some singers appeared to replace the music. I rushed the unusual Southwest wen salad version that they brought and asked for our bill to find that I was charged an extra $3.00 for avocado when the salad says it brings avocado!! In a nutshell: My expectations were wrong.
I never write reviews, but I just had to say how great this place was! The food was amazing!! I havent had food this good in a very long time that my fiancé didnt cook himself 😂. Do yourself a favor and give it a try. You wont be disappointed. We are definitely going to be back 😉
First time here and it wont be our last, great food and good table service. My wife, our son, my mother and I went to have lunch and we had a really nice time. Well come back with more family next time, thank you all at Tribeca.
Came here with no expectations & was blown away by the quality & flavor of the food. It’s definitely quality what you are going to be paying for. The staff was lovely & made the best recommendations. This place is a hidden gem. The mofongo is mouth watering! Definitely coming back!
Went to this restaurant fairly early in the evening so it was quiet, no live music. We ordered a bunch of appetizers so we could sample lots of items- We were so happy we did - Interesting flavors and textures- Great happy hour drinks too! Outstanding place!! The food was great and staff was very friendly! Everyone loved the food!! Highly recommended!
This was a really nice spot. I have to come back when they have live music to experience it.The food was really good I got steak and eggs my husband got the Mac n cheese both were great. They have a nice bar layout and my passion fruit mimosa was the bomb. I was so happy they had a another juice option because I hate orange juice 😒
Their service its really really good, had a good time playing dominoes outside.I ordered their Salmon as it was recommended and it lived up to my expectations.Only thing I would recommend is more variety of craft beer
Had a weekday lunch w drinks. Bar atmosphere with live band setup. Wasn’t what was expected. Was expecting a much softer atmosphere. Food was tasty and drinks were satisfying. Would go back again.
I didn’t have the experience I would have liked to have had. I’m new to the area and out trying new things. While checking out “bars near me” I found this place, after looking at their reviews and their website I decided to give them a try. Not a bad experience but definitely not the experience I was looking for and what I was thinking I would have had based on the reviews and their website. The bartender was clearly inexperienced and seemingly not a good communicator, she was not clear on her description of the food on the menu, the host was obviously bothered by me walking in the door however there was one person, a guy who had a nice smile but didn’t seem to want to speak. I’m going to leave this place to all of their guest who like it here, regulars I guess.
The food was delicious. Table was a little small but next time we know we have to go to a bigger table. The drinks were really good and dessert was excellent. Nice place and great service!
We had dinner here last night 08.18.21. We tried several appetizers and the Fried fish entree. Everything was so tasty. Service was excellent!
Amazing environment and place is clean. Good menu and the food is delicious.
Based on the reviews I wanted to see what all the raves were about. This joint is fairly new in the area. We went around 1:30pm on a Saturday and the place was pretty empty. The server was attentive. The food was delicious. I ordered the chicken carbonara pasta. The he portion was perfect, very fulfilling. Its on the pricey side but affordable. My food cost $19 my husband ordered the fried fish, which was pretty big for $30 came with sides. The food took a little long but can out hot. We both enjoyed ourselves and look forward to going again.
Nice but not too extreme lively atmosphere for dinner. Good DJ with latin dance music videos worked well with the menu for a fun time.
My best friend bff came into town. I live in Miami and she was staying in Sunrise. This was the perfect setting right in the middle. The jibarito sliders are a must and the cute drinks. I am a splits girl and was pleasantly surprised to see them frosting in the wine cooler. Highly recommended.
My review is mostly on the service. The food is great the portions are small for the price your paying. My husband and I received our entree and 10 minutes later we received our appetizer. Our waiter was not good.
Best Latin food/Bad in Florida !!!!!Weekly events.Top of the top Dj’s with good music.Dance floorBeautiful, well trained waitresses.
This was my first time at Tribeca, and to tell you the truth I had the best time. Love the upbeat music and the service. My waiter Victoria was super attentive and made me feel welcomed! The food was delicious I had the churrasco it was delicious. Their strawberry mojito was just as good . I will definitely go back.
Yesterday I went to confirm if the quality had been changed but still hasn’t. Some dishes were fine as the fry fish but the mofongo was hard even though you added their own sauce, and the pork ribs were dry and hard. Beside the quality of food, the service was horrible. At the beginning when the restaurant opened They put bigger amounts of the appetizers, but otherwise the service was amazing and the quality of the food was delicious.
Not many good restaurants near our hotel so decided to give this unknown place a try. We didn’t expect much so were happy to get great service, a full bar, and we loved the food we ordered. I recommend you give this place a try. Outstanding place!! The food was great and staff was very friendly! Everyone loved the food!! Highly recommended!
My review will be based on the club, not the restaurant... My group was of 14 people, we bought the tkts online and reserved the table over the phone... At the door we were treated as we didnt pay for the reserved tables or we were missing tkts... when we finally get in around 11pm and to our surprise the bottles we requested was already sold out (Buchanans) we were able to get one, and the rest of another whiskey... Then no coconut water! As the night progressed we barely saw the waitress and to get a hookah/refill we basically had to go and search for the hookah boy... I would say they were not prepared at all, service was not good at all... Bottle prices were reasonable, but I hate when the tip is included and the waitress is a ghost the whole night!!!! Not sure is a place I would go back to, nor my friends... I hope their service gets better and are better prepared for large events!!
Greet and friendly staff. Mainly Dominican. Large portions enough to share. Food came out on time and tasted very good. Had the pork with yuca mangu, very good, also tried the chaufa, a bit salty for me but tasty.
This is our first visit here. The food was delicious and the service, excellent! We will be back👍🏾👍🏾
The food, ambience and service was awesome.
Excellent Dominican restaurant with live entertainment.Started with a El Compadre cocktail with whiskey and pineapple. Is very good with a different flavor. Mojito is also pretty good.Had the fried snapper with mofongo which was well cooked but could have additional tomato mojo sauce. The chicken and pork chunks looked burnt but they are not. It’s just the good Dominican seasoning.Very nice place and service. Looking forward to come back.
Delicious food, great portions, affordable price, strong drinks, not too crowded. Tip is included.Great spot for a hangout with friends
Great food and drinks! Had the skirt steak and was cooked perfectly.
The lady manager was super nice and friendly and kind to me she noticed something wrong and came and helped without asking thank you!
Just moved to the area and wanted to try this place out. Ordered 2 appetizers and a couple of drinks. Appetizers are small portions for the price. And I mean SMALL. 3 tiny empanada and 4 tiny shrimps with 4 small tostones. The food tasted okay but the portion was not worth the price. The host which was the server as well was very unexperiensed and was kind of annoying coming around a lot to ask if we want food or coffee (mind you that we were there drinking). Not sure if Ill give it a second try.
Food was amazing and the service was incredible my mom had the best birthday here
Enjoyed the food and the music. The tables were setup for social distance which is great.
Went to this restaurant fairly early in the evening so it was quiet, no live music. We ordered a bunch of appetizers so we could sample lots of items- We were so happy we did - Interesting flavors and textures- Great happy hour drinks too! I highly recommended this restaurant.
This place is great! I had their fried fish and bread pudding. Theyre hookah is also very nice! I would deffinetly come back
I came to this place because the menu looked promising. It was about 4pm when I arrived. Super loud music, I guess because its a lounge, the hostess couldnt even hear us. She didnt want to anyways. Off the bat she was not happy that we were there and much less because we wanted to sit outside. She continued to bait us to leave, first saying the table is dirty and then that it was wobbly. She went to get a rag and came back to let us know food would take a whole hour, which is where I drew the line. No thanks!
The omelet was very flavorful this is the best omelet I have ever had to date. The house coffee was deliciously crafted and the thick bread was toasted to perfection. It is a large bounty for such a small price. Thank you for taking pride In your craft. This will be a place that I will return to and tell my friends about. Im getting hungry again just from posting this
Amazing customer service! Delicious food! & Great vibe!
Good food. Nice place
Delicious food but the portions are very small for the price. Especially the sancocho. Not worth the price, service ( waitresses) not too good with service nor friendly
Very good place to have plenty of fun and a great time
Absolutely delicious and great service
Loud music enviroment, almost imposible to enjoy the food
Good food, but noise environment with loud music, not good for family’s
Let me state the food is excellent, the service is awful, clarification, they are nice but it was the worst service, please train your wait staff before you let them serve customers, I would eat here again but I would know it will be wrong and the entree comes before the appitizer and you can never get a refill even after you ask, 20 minutes later you might get a water refill if your lucky
Nice food went recently and they removed oxtail from the menu very disappointing 😞
Went there for Sunday brunch, there were only two tables in the entire restaurant, yet it took 20 min for us to receive drinks. Peaches and cream French toast came with pears?? The waitress didn’t even say anything, or mention they were out of peaches, just served it as is. When we brought it up she didn’t seem to care either. Food took forever to come out..again, two other tables in the entire place. Burgers were mediocre. The plantains were good. Brownie dessert came with a burnt, hard as a rock brownie that nearly broke the glass when trying to break it in half. As a waitress, I’m very sympathetic to the fact it’s a pandemic, but being there was almost no one at the restaurant, the service should be better and food/drinks shouldn’t take that long. Giving it 2 stars because the drinks were good at least.
I would like to say that this restaurant has very delicious food. Although, the restaurant was basically empty when we came, the food and the vibe of the place made up for it. The hamburgers were amazing and the waiter was a sweetheart. And the fries were very crunchy.
Exceptional!! Greta vibe with excellent service, what more can ask from a restaurant. Shout out to Jessica who was out hostess and make sure we had a wonderful evening!!
Walked in, at 4pm the music was absurdly loud so I requested to sit outdoors. The hostess seemed bothered to have to get up to sit us outdoors. Once we got our table she left and came back to wipe it down and said the food will take approximately an hour to come out and waited for us to decide, hoping we’d say no. Granted we left but what unwelcoming experience. Shame !
A fav place for Latin American food. Great hospitality. Ive had nothing but pleasant experiences here and plan to keep coming back. Food and atmosphere reminds me of Kansas City.
The food here was great. The Oxtail and Mofongo were delicious. For dessert I had the Banana Caramel Roll and it was so worth it. I had the homestyle fried chicken the first time and I ordered the arroz chaufa the next time. I will say that I thought the food was a little salty, but I still enjoyed it. The lunch menu is a great deal as well.
Outstanding food, excellent ambience and courteous staff. You wont regret coming here
Really nice Dominican restaurant in the Kohls plaza on the corner of Miramar Parkway and Flamingo Road. This place sells very good Mofongos which are hard to find. Their pork chops and mofongo plate is my favorite. Good amount of food. The restaurant itself is large inside and there is a great distance between tables now during this Covid-19 situation.
Awesome food quality! Lots of Dominican dishes that are simply delicious and very well prepared. You can tell their chef love what he or she does. I am not familiar with Dominican dishes, but what I have tried so far it has been absolutely delicious.Excellent seasoning and dish prices are fair.My husband and I have returned quite often.Sometimes (I believe it happens during night weekends) they have live music which makes the whole experience a different and special one. The music groups they bring to the stage are excellent. I am professional musician myself, so I know about good music groups and just “commercial cheese ones”.I have even seen families with small kids during week day/nights and the atmosphere is appropriate for that.A must try if you haven’t gotten there yet. You will not regret it.
Really enjoyed my visit to Tribeca. Food was delicious... the staff was nice and friendly. Will definitely go back and recommend. 😀
Good food, not so good service.I’ve been here 3 times in the past two months.1st experience: 5 star experience, great service and the food was delicious, I definitely wanted to come back.2nd experience: Given the great first impression, I decided to give it another try. This time, we arrived at the restaurant 1 hour before closing. The hostess sat us down immediately. 5 min later, the waitress comes with the barcode to scan the menu and said that we had to order immediately because the restaurant was closing. This was a full 1 hour before closing, but I understand that things may change due to low demand... I remember thinking that there were nicer ways of telling us that the restaurant was closing; like telling us upon arriving that we would have to rush our order (and provide us with the menu then), or just not letting us in. Either way was fine, but standing in front and demanding an immediate order was a bit rude. About 20 minutes later, a party of 5 came, and ordered food...3rd experience: the first one was so good that I didn’t even give my second experience another thought when deciding to come back. This time, the restaurant was at about 75% capacity; fairly busy. I ordered 1 plate, with the expectation that it would take longer than usual. 40 minutes later, the waitress comes to tell us that “they are preparing the plate”. I asked for her definition of that phrase (kindly, because I was truly confused), and she said that “they were putting the meat on the plate”. After 10 minutes, I called her and inquired about the order, to which she replied that they were preparing it. I questioned her previous statement from 10 minutes ago, again, and she said that, yes indeed, 10 minutes ago, they “started cutting the meat in the plate”. I replied saying that I did not mind if the order was misplaced, but that I wanted to know the real status of the order because then I could make a decision as to wether stay or leave. She said she would check on the order again, and did not come back for 3 minutes (yes, this time I timed it). As I stood up from the table, 2 other employees approached and said that they would check on the order. At this moment, I was impatient and I left after waiting 30 more seconds.I don’t mind an order being late, I don’t mind an error/mistake. It really is nothing, I understand things happen. But they lied to me, twice. I ordered a 10oz steak; I have a hard time believing that it takes ~15 min to cut it. I left the restaurant because of a lack of honesty. This review is quite long, and I don’t expect many people to read the entire story. I wrote this so that the owners can see it, and take proper action, if they deem it necessary. I wish Tribeca nothing but the best as it is a small business and their food was great the two times I actually ate there. Unfortunately, for now, they have lost a customer.
I really enjoyed my visit to this restaurant. We were a group of 6. Food was excellent and the prices were fair. The young lady that took care of us was a pro. Great recommendations, our party had multiple drink and food items and we enjoyed all. Would def be back soon.
Amazing place, food is incredible.
We always enjoy this place. Excellent service, great music, delicious food and fair prices.
Great food & amazing service.
Very expensive compared to the food they serve. And the service was too slow.
Food was really good. Pandemic cause the atmosphere to be dull but thats understandable..music could have been on and more servers 1 lady was available. We left a nice tip for her hard work.
Excellent atmosphere, courteous Service, Fabulous Food..All That was Left on this Bad Boy....
The service is bad and it toke these people an hour ro bring the food next time get faster cookers
Love the food! Service was excellent! I ate the plantain crusted salmon and best salmon Ive had in a really long time! Highly recommended!
I was yesterday in my lunch time and the food was great and the attention was amazing,my server Paola was excellent and very kind, I’d recommend visit that place and try the churrasco al gallo!!!!
Coming here for lunch today was honestly the best part of my day. The staff is amazing theyre so friendly and real, the food is great and also great prices :) Highly recommend
Food and staff were great
The woman that attended us recommended us a appetizer, once it got to our table we tried it and did not like her recommendation. We sent it back & she returned furious saying we can’t just order something and take it back and replace it. She was so unprofessional. And with bad attitude.
It was excellent service was good the only problem is they never offered if we wanted dessert or coffee at the end of our meal
Excellent service, food and clean. Will definitely recommend to friends and family.
Environment was good but the steak had no taste and had to chew forever my jaw hurted from chewing. The tostones was full of oil couldnt eat it. The platano maduro were good and rice was ok. Will not be going back.
You know...I wanted to like this place enough to give five stars but I couldnt. The food was tasty, service was fine and variety was only outdone by the creative food pairings. But for the price, I would have wanted more. The drinks were a little watered down and mixers, not juices. Very syrupy. Portions werent small but could have been a little more generous. I actually ordered 2 entrees because I saw what other diners were getting. And the waitress made a big deal about it. And it looks like the place turns into a club after dining hours, so if you are looking for a dinner atmosphere experience, you might want to try elsewhere. Its not bad by any means but they are only getting four 🌟s from me. And I feel like I am being generous.
There are also tables outside. Service is always great and friendly. Prices are very reasonable.
Good doninican food
Awesome restaurant! I went today with my family and had a great time. The food was outstanding and the service was great! Highly recommend it!
I came from Texas to celebrate my mothers birthday, we got there at 6:30 pm, we where a party of 16 people and the server got the orders of drinks first and it took him almost an hour, so we decided to order appetizers and it took even longer. We received our appetizers atfter 9 pm and we even tried to order our food at the same time but the server refused to let us and even the the check took more than 45 minutes. Very bad service, even though the music was very good.
This place is awesome. Great food, service and music. Everyone was very mice and accomodating. Great neighborhood hangout. Full bar and mix of music. Thank you for opening this fun, fresh and much needed neighborhood classy place.
What a great place in Miramar! The octopus/veggies appetizer is phenomenal. VERY friendly staff and excellent customer service.Salmon was awesome too
Coming here for lunch today was honestly the best part of my day. The staff is amazing theyre so friendly and real, the food is great and also great prices :) Highly recommend
We celebrated a birthday. There was a live music band playing salsa all night. We had a blast! The food and service excellent!
The place is very nice and spacious. The food is very delicious but the service is horrible when you consider it took 2 1/2 hrs for our meal. The music was to start at 10....its 11 and nothing yet. We got here at 8 and food came at 10:00. And the orders were not even correct. Some food was compted but honestly we would have preferred just to be served on time. It was very frustrating
Cold food. Poor quality service. Out of nearly all the “traditional Dominican” items. Servers kept all glasses empty. Old tasting meat. Not fresh. What Dominican place will be out of salami, cheese and plantains?? Will not come back.Small, cheap design and decor and not fun - all for an expensive bill. Soooo not worth it!!
The place has a nice atmosphere. Went on a Saturday night and they said live music but it was 11 with no music except a good DJ. Food is pricy with small amounts. Sat at the bar and they have these little metal chairs which are so uncomfortable. Neighborhood bar charging beach prices for drinks/food with terrible bar chairs. Bartender was awesome. This place has so much potential.
Amazing
Simply amazing!!!! Celebrated my sons and cousins graduation here and the service and food was phenomenal... can’t wait to be back thank you TriBeca for making the graduation celebration unforgettable.
