Not a great experience purchasing a car here. The staff was not transparent about prices of the lease I was offered, and I was constantly feeling pressured to accept a deal from the very beginning, despite the fact I had been very clear about only being interested in knowing prices on my first visit. An unpleasant experience from beginning to end.A couple weeks after I got my lease, i was asked to come back to the dealership because there was a mistake on the contract and it needed to be readjusted. The monthly price was off by a few cents and for that, I had to drive an hour each way. They had offered to fill my fuel tank, but when the transaction was done, I had to remind them of that.I wouldnt recommend this place. Theyre just interested in your numbers and they show it. Unfortunately its the only major dealership in the area. Will avoid if I can.
Walked in to Gurley Leep today to look at a car. Bob walked out and was so kind, informative, honest and knowledgeable. He walked my husband and I through so many features and details about the vehicle. Everyone was friendly, the facility was nice and clean. I would work with Bob again any day to purchase a vehicle.
Fred, the service manager, was ready and waiting for me when I arrived at the time of my appointment. He was personable and efficient. He put 2 techs on the job to get me out quickly. This is the best automotive service experience Ive ever had.
I went in with my father to purchase my first big girl car for my 22nd birthday. I had a idea of what I wanted but I wasn’t completely firm on the decision. I knew I wanted a 2021 SUV fully loaded that was all. The salesman Richard Williams was extremely outgoing, highly educated on the vehicles, and had an phenomenal personality. We looked around for a hour and he showed me SUV’s he thought I’ll like. Now I’m in my fabulous 2021 Tiguan Volkswagen all thanks to Richard for making the process a breeze. Also the manager gave me a Volkswagen flask as a birthday gift. Thanks for making my birthday a special day.
I called to see if they can program a key that I purchased elsewhere. When I called I asked about cut and programming and was told yes, they can. I drove almost an hour and once I got there, I was treated rudely by the lady at the service desk. I asked her where I can get the key cut and according to her, nobody but the Germans can cut the key. She asked about ordering us one and I told her the only way we can is if it can be ordered and programmed no later then Tues since our daughter is leaving for college. She was not at all professional in my opinion. I have worked customer service in several different businesses so I have experience and training and thats how I have been taught not to treat customers. We will never use Gurley Leep again for anything.
Awful experience. Was charged on my credit for two vehicles because the VIN was NOT correct so it had to be redone and I had to fix my credit report myself. Haven’t heard back from the finance agent in regards to some of my concerns and has only returned minima replies regarding my calls or emails. If I could give no stars that would be my main choice. Google should allow for no stars or half stars so the reviews are accurate. Still awaiting a response regarding my financial concerns.Even until now still have not received my refunds and it’s been since Mar 2020 when I transferred the vehicle and was paid in full. Had to go to another dealership to submit the documents for my refund. Now let’s see if the selling finance person Brandon H. Will send my refunds. Such a disappointment for a place that has “high priced” vehicles. Customer service is seriously rude and non-exsistent.
I bought a new Audi from this dealer and had a problem as soon as the check was handed over. My salesman Mr Omar was great but couldn’t help me with basic information about the cars interior controls. He said that he primarily sold Mercedes and wasn’t familiar with the features of my new car. Also, the car had been sitting outside and needed a good detailing but I waited a long time only to be told there wasn’t anyone available. I returned the next day to hand over my trade ins second key and other items and to get it detailed properly. AGAIN no one there to clean the interior. I finally gave up, started to leave and a warning light came on. NO ONE knew how to explain what it meant. Did they not have a MANUAL around? Mr Omar asked the other salesman for help but they showed no interest in helping me or him.I finally went to the service department where after explaining my problem the service advisor told me they could look at it in 2 weeks. As I bought the car, with 140 miles on it, one day ago, I said no, not waiting. Please call the service manager. He said he wasn’t there, then couldn’t recall his full name. He never looked me in the eye or acknowledged Mr Omar when he spoke. He clearly did not like a woman speaking to him so directly. The service manager also had a terrible attitude. I persisted, asking his to run a diagnostic on the car. He eventually had a tech do so, it took 2 minutes, said all is okay. The sensor must be wet. He didn’t know what the warning light meant..I drove home, checked my manual that was on my desk and saw that it was a warning that the air bags were not on.This is a long review but I have purchased new cars for 40 years. I have never had such a negative experience before. The men working there did nothing to assist. I will never use the service department. I discourage anyone, especially Women, to buy a car from these men. They were rude and dismissive at every turn.Sincerely,Judge Lori Wolfson, ret.
My mother has come here for about 20 years to lease her cars. We were helped by Bob Schell from the moment we walked in. My mom had a short list of must haves for her car and though he didnt have it right away, he said he would get it situated. He is charming, knowledgable and great to work with. The whole staff was incredible to work with, a true team. We really enjoyed our buying experience!! He was able to push a deal for her to turn her car in a month early and have it ready sooner.
Worst Service Department Ever. Cant Give 0 stars. Back in 2000 I stopped bringing the VW I bought there because never fixed it correctly. Now 21 years later took a different VW in thinking they must have cleaned up their act, and I was wrong. Do buy anything from this dealer, it will be expensive, and their service is even worse. You wont be happy. Dont be fooled by the 4.1 rating, Only the 1 stars get a thumbs up.
After two experiences purchasing vehicles at this dealership, I can say that you will be hard pressed to get a decent deal. This is also the view that is widely held in our local area as well. The dealership is known as having higher than average pricing than local dealerships and those of neighboring states. There are not enough benefits to be gained, certainly not enough product knowledge of the sales staff for me to continue buying from a dealership. I know that my next purchase will not be through a dealership but through Carvanna.
Awful dealership. Im a 50 year old female that has driven Audis for 30 years. I traded in my 2019, and they did NOT pay off my loan! Although they told me they paid it off, they did not! I would not buy a tire from these scammers. Just terrible.
LaShonda was extremely helpful in answering all my questions about a vehicle I was interested in buying, and helping me through the buying process. I was able to to buy the vehicle completely over the phone/email and they even delivered the vehicle to my home. I would definitely recommend this business and LaShonda is an excellent salesperson.
Overall, good experience. Liked the electronic system that send the notification about the additional work that needs approval.
Gurley Leep has made car buying easy again. After purchasing several vehicles in the Michiana area the only dealership that continues to be hassle free is GL, working with Tyler Amaro was a great purchasing experience from the initial greeting to the drive off the lot, i will be returning in the future for all my transportation needs
I am in South Bend and I caught a flat tire over the weekend. I do not live in South Bend I was visiting family. I purchased the warranty for tire and rim protection when I purchased the vehicle. I had to call multiple people over and over repeatedly due to it being the weekend. Mercedes isn’t as functional on the weekends apparently. Finally, I was able to get my warranty information and schedule service at Firestone from another location in another city. I called this dealership multiple times and they were not helpful. The service department suggested that I pay out of pocket for a tire at Tire Rack. I’m not sure if it was a lack of knowledge or a willingness to help. The service department or front desk weren’t aware of their partner options that have a contract with their warranty department. I could warranty the tire without paying additional dollars. They also were very blaze with scheduling an appointment and weren’t sure of basic information, like how long a tire would take to come in. The service department was unsure if they would be able to replace a tire that day. The service was less what you would expect for the brand. Lesson keep your warranty information in your vehicle because the information may not be able to be looked up if it isn’t M-F 9am-5pm and customer service is lacking at several dealerships as I had to call many to finally get that information. I have had this vehicle for less than eight months and so far getting service on my vehicle has been an issue at more than one location. Maybe I should have went with BMW or Lexus.
Excellent service!!! In and out in one day with my new car. Everyone goes the extra mile to make sure you get the best deal. Their sales representative LaShonda Strickland was awesome!!! Extremely helpful and nice!!!
I am a teacher and I know a lot about a lot of things, but I don’t know much about cars. I have relied on Jeff Spencer of Gurley Leep for my last five cars. I trust Jeff implicitly. He has always advised me on the car deal that is best for me.
Exceptional service all around. Thank you to the staff and Mike Carter for the work on my VW.
Great Customer service!! Ryan was very nice he had a loaner vehicle ready for me when I drop off my Volkswagen to get services done. He call to let me know about the Diagnostic on the truck. I would recommend them 100%
My wife and I purchased a 2018 Volkswagen GTI. The day we purchased this vehicle a new salesman was instructed to remove bird poop from the hood. He proceeded to use something so abrasive with such force that he scratched the hood so deep their service department couldn’t buff it out! That was day... one. After several days of having my new GTI home I decided to wash and wax it. It was then I discovered all these strange spots all over the car. It looked like water spots but they wouldn’t come off no matter what I did. I called sales supervisor Mike and my saleswoman and explained this to them. I brought the car the next day and showed them. They made me an appointment with their body shop to have the car buffed. And buff it they did! Swirl marks and holograms galore! I was concerned about compromising the clear coat before they even attempted any buffing. I knew they’d have to be very aggressive to remove whatever was on this car. I’m not sure if it’s concrete dust from the renovations they are doing or if there was transit issues. So at this point I have a 2 week old $33000 car with deep swirl marks marks all over it. I paid Zeibart try to fix the finish issues that the body shop caused. I can’t recommend this dealer or any Gurley Leep dealership after this terrible experience. I left a message asking the dealership manager to call me on 4/25/18. I also called the owner Mike Leep and I received no follow up from them as of 7/14/18. This cost us $1000 to repair the damage that the dealerships collision center caused by all the holograms and deep swirl marks. Gurley Leep compensated me $350 towards repairing the damage their collision center caused. I hoped that the issue was corrected, but I still have a vehicle with strange spots that are obvious in direct sunlight or in a garage with adequate lighting.*** Edit. What is Gurley Leep’s idea of “immediately” I have yet to receive any communication from the dealer.Edit #2 Since this post was written I still have not been contacted by Gurley Leep not even one phone call or email. I have called their corporate office in desperation and still no communication. Think twice before you consider this dealership chain.Edit #3 Its now Nov 2019. We traded the VW in. Gurley Leep had never contacted me one time during all this ordeal. I had to file a claim with which took months to get an answer. VW compensated us with some oil changes and $1k. They would not exchange the car even though this issue was reported in the first week of ownership. Gurley Leeps unwillingness to respond to my calls and emails were beyond my comprehension. This is the 4th vehicle (and last) wed purchased from Gurley Leep. To treat a repeat customer this way is sad.
Big thank you to Bob Schell for all of his help, patience, kindness, no pressure and fairness shown to me during my recent purchase of a new vehicle. I highly recommend him if you are looking for a great salesman! -Sandy
Not one to do a review but this one deserved it. I decided to look at a Lexus RC that was there. Treated with the most respect by Tito Mendez. Can not recommend enough. Also the Finance guy did an amazing job. Stayed an extra 30 minutes on Saturday to close the deal with professional and friendly attitudes.
Jeff Spencer helped me with the purchase of a new VW. He was incredibly patient and helpful in clearing up some items for me and following up even after the purchase. Highly recommend given all his dedication even post purchase!
I was on vacation and had a sensor go out . They replaced it and when I picked up my car, it had a cracked windshield. So far I have waited for someone to call me about replacing it. I am extremely disappointed in the service department. I imagine now that I am home and about 8 hours away, they feel that they dont need to follow up on any service. That really is disappointing, when I have gone to 2 other Volkswagon dealerships in my area and they have always provided top notch service. I will re-assess this dealership when and if they decide to do the right thing by me and replace me windshield.. August 5th: They paid for a new windshield which is what I expected from a Volkswagon Dealership. They brought me a loaner car and brought it back to me when it was done. Thank you.
I had a great experience today at Gurley Leep Motorwerks. I scheduled my appointment online this morning and service was completed before the given time. I was offered services other than the oil change I wanted but felt no pressure from Ryan to get those done today. Thanks for the great service.
I should start by saying Im that guy. I make no apologies that I expect the same high standard from people who work on my behalf that I have always tried to give others. That said, Gurley Leep Motorwerks has always consistently provided us with a high level of service. Their service and parts staff are both knowledgable and friendly. Weve primarily worked with Josh and John respectively and theyre both very good to work with. I appreciate the time theyll always extend to us be it on the phone or in their dealership. They treat you like you matter to them. Its pretty much that simple. Overall, a very solid dealership.
The salesperson was awesome & they offer a great value on the vehicles the have. I enjoyed the attention to detail when going over the details of our deal. The cookies were good too lol
This is a long way from home and I stressed about going 40 miles for car service .... it was also a little challenging for an appointment .... but landing ... a triple A. They communicated well, did a great job on the car, gave me options for the work I wanted done and were pleasant and easy. I will still hate the commute there and back but will definitely continue going there. Great experience. Actually best car repair experience ever.
I was able to get both of my cars in for oil changes and a recall fix. They were able to get me in and out very quickly.
Bought a new Mercedes and absolutely love the car Omar Ahmed is the best!!! Planning to buy another Mercedes in a year or two and would only buy it from Omar. Also Mike the manager was also great at getting me a good deal. Thank You! Only thing I don’t like is the age limit to get a loaner I feel that if I buy a Mercedes from you for full asking price without negotiations I Feel that I should be obligated to use a loaner since it has factory warranty plus another year of warranty from Gurley Leep motorwerks. If this can be resolved for me I would gladly change review to 5 stars!
Bobs the best at the Mercedes Benz ..in sales...he Rocks
I saw some good reviews for this dealership and it actually help convince me to give them a try. Firstly they had such a great deal on the Audi A6 that i was looking for that it made me fly in from Houston Texas to come get it, and sincerely i think Adam Howland deserves 7 stars, very patient, understanding and professional. Buying process was smooth, in and out in less than 20 mins (not a hype!). They literally stayed late just for me because my flight got delayed and i was arriving later than their normal business hoursSo far my best car buying experience, HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
My experience at Gurley Leep Mercedes in Mishawaka was not a positive one. I went in to test drive several cars that I was interested in but when I asked to look at the higher end AMG model they did not take me seriously, and they gave me excuses on why I couldnt test drive the car. I went in with my mom and we both felt completely discriminated against. I am a young man in my 20s which is why I went in with her. She is a professional and I am a young professional about to graduate college. I have the means to afford the AMG model and it was frustrating that we were not taken seriously. The salesmen told me to go to Indianapolis or Chicago to test drive the car I was looking at.UPDATE: I wanted to post an updated review. I went into the dealership two weeks ago to look at and test drive a car and I did not have a good experience at all. I decided to go back in and see if a different salesmen made a difference. When I went in I was pleasantly greeted by Bob Schell who was extremely friendly. He walked me through all the features of the AMG model I was looking at and gave me good advice about different things to consider. He is very knowledgeable about the Mercedes lineup and I highly recommend talking to him if you are interested in a Mercedes product.
We had the greatest salesperson ever. Cody Benson went far beyond to help us get the vehicle we wanted at the price we were able to pay. We did have a slight problem when it came to finalizing the deal because what we were quoted was changed when it came time to sign, but Cody made sure we got the price we agreed on. When it is time to get our next vehicle we will come here only if Cody is still there.Ken and Susan Johnson.
The worst experience Ive ever had, good luck getting them to do anything for you after you purchase the car, we had an accident and it was like pulling teeth to get them to do anything, wouldnt return calls, and wouldnt follow through with anything. Its been almost three months and Im still paying on a totaled car because they dropped the ball.
If I could leave a 0 rating, I would. I traded my Mercedes so I wouldnt have to deal with that service department. (Fred) Rude, impatient, he makes you feel like like youre wasting his time. Some people should not be in customer service. They need to take notes from Basney BMW. They treat you like a King.
Purchased a used car here. Customer service was great until car needed repair. No help after that. A tune up was done on the car incorrectly and parts broken, they refused to repair their mistake. Have had nothing but problems with the car. I recommend going elsewhere for service and cars.
We bought a Mercedes C300 from Al Won. We worked with him for quite a bit of time and he was so kind and patient with us. This was our first purchase of a Mercedes and he helped to educate us and made us very comfortable with our purchase. We would highly recommend him and will definitely want to work with him on future purchases.
Honestly never going back to this dealership. The sales staff is always great. But once you buy a car and need service, it goes downhill from there. Every single time I call the service department here I get nothing but attitude. Shout out to Amy, terrible customer service.
BEST DEALERSHIP AROUND BY FAR!!!!My husband and I purchased our 2006 BMW X5 in July 2014. We had the pleasure of working with Rolando Joel Reyna as our awesome salesman! He was the best salesman that weve ever worked with. He wasnt your typical pushy all I care about is making a sale and getting your money salesman. He truly went above and beyond to make sure our purchase was something that we needed and felt comfortable to drive off your lot and have as our family vehicle. This dealership truly cares about going out of their way to make sure they make their customers happy and go above and beyond to give superior service! Would definitely recommend anyone to buy from here, and Im sure we will have no problem coming back for future vehicles!
Cannot say enough positive things about my experience! The entire process was quick and easy. The salesman was knowledgeable and so friendly. He even came in on his day off so I could buy my car!! The financial guy went above and beyond to get me into the car I wanted....at an affordable price! A huge THANK YOU to everyone involved!
Thank you for fixing my car and getting it back to original condition for me. I will say Chris the service manager took care of everything I needed. I very much appreciate it!
This recent purchase of two (2) Tiguans became the 10th & 11th vehicles which I have purchased from Gurley-Leep. The customer relations & the responsible, courteous service keeps me & my family members loyal to G-L.
Save your money!! I’ve had issues with their customer service in the past not disclosing labor costs upfront and being rude about it when I questioned the final cost. This last time they did a recall service to my VW they charged $120 to change ONE headlight bulb. Ridiculous. When I questioned the price by using their text service they didn’t respond. I’ll never go here again unless it’s for a recall.
They did a great job on my car the service couldnt have been any better 😁
CUSTOMERS ARE NOT A PRIORITY. I scheduled an appointment for my VWs battery issues and brought my car in at 9am and Ryan, my contact, promised to call me and update me. He never did. I called at the end of the day and they had just started working on it. They kept it overnight and promised to call the next day to update me. They never did. I called at the end of the second day and they had not figured out the issue, but they told me that they noticed the windshield wiper fluid was leaking (it took these guys 2 DAYS to notice that). I expressed my frustration from their lack of communication, keeping my car for 2 nights with no loaner provided, and for not making my car a priority. The next day they quickly found the issue and fixed it. But when I arrived to pick up my car, it wasnt ready and needed a car wash. I patiently waited in their lobby for over 30 minutes and NOBODY came to tell me when the car was ready.Gurley Leep Volkswagen service only reinforces Volkswagens reputation as dishonest and deceptive.
I saw that Gurley Leep was having a sale with a big tent, so we drove there first. Before we could enter the parking lot, 2 salesmen stopped us and told us to pull up to the building and sign up for free gas cards and giveaways before we looked around. I went into panic attack mode, to say the least, and after we pulled up to the building my husband had to tell the men to go away. We walked around the lot. It was freezing outside, and all I wanted to do was drive around in our car and look at the styles of cars and price tags, but we couldnt. You see, there are no price tags on the stupid cars. You have to talk to a salesman to get ANY information about the car other than obscure features that I dont look at first anyway. We got back in our car, and as we were getting ready to leave, the salesman had me open my window and asked again if we would give them our info for a free gas card. Seriously? My husband told me that a co-worker of his did sign up for something during a previous sale and they called him EVERY DAY for six months. I had to ask my husband why we even went there, if that was the case, but I think he was being supportive of my desire to look around. Dodged a bullet for sure.
Went with my mom to get a car and left very very satisfied. There was a little bit of confusion between sales professional and the finance manager Bob but they made it right. She left extremely happy and so did I. Bob Rhodes and Cody Benson were extremely helpful. We started at Gurley Leep Subaru with Chris and he was there the entire way until she ended up with a Volkswagen. There is a common misconception with car salesman but not with these guys
Jason in the parts department was very professional and helpful. Very rare to hear someone answer the phone with the professionalism that he uses! Recommend using them for parts any day!
Wow, really screwed up service department for sprinter. Called two days ago for Takata airbag recall, provided all information, hoping to set up an appointment. Service department said they would call back, never did. I called back today, two days later. Was told they were all out until Monday. Wow, what a service department. Meanwhile, have to drive a sprinter with a defective airbag.
One year ago today, 7/7/2016, I purchased a used car with 110,000 miles on it. The Finance Manager sold me the 2 year warranty for just over $2,100.00. We discussed that the warranty was for cars with less than 100,000 miles but he assured me that it shouldnt be a problem. 30 days after purchasing the car, I received a letter from the warranty service informing me that I was denied coverage. I called the Finance Manager about the situation and he assured me that the money would be returned to the bank in 4 months time (around November 7, 2016). The air conditioning and the air suspension went out... both would have been covered. But worse than that the $2100.00 is still in the possession of Gurley Leep Motorwerks!!! December through May I called maybe 3-4 times to get this resolved. Nothing! This past week I have called the Finance Manager 3 times. On 6/29 he told me hed call me back in a day or two. He didnt. I called him back on 7/3 and he said that the paperwork verifying that the money was sent to the bank will be ready to pick up this afternoon. Ill call you when its ready. He didnt call. I tried one last time to talk to him yesterday (7/6) and he wouldnt even take my call. I am done trying to contact him to get answers. I feel that I am left with no other choice then to call my lawyer and find out how to start the process to take Gurley Leep Motorwerks to small claims court and get this settled.
I am so pleased with my new Audi! Gurley-Leep was terrific! They treated me professionally, gave me a fair price, and made sure I knew everything about my new car. I highly recommend them! Thanks especially to Taggert James, and Bruce Dawson, they made this a terrific experience!
Was very Skeptical about the approval letter I received in the mail, but my current car was almost 10 years old with 130,000 miles on it. Being a single father I have a budget and not a lot of money, but I went in any way! I was helped by Robert and he was amazing!! Helped me pay off the last $5000 I owed on my Chevrolet Equinox and got me into a almost new tdi Passat! If your reading this, get there now and ask for this man! You won’t regret it! The manager did a fantastic job of finding the financing for a guy with a 550 credit score! Do it people! Get to this dealership now!!! Tell them Cornelius McDonald sent you!
I bought a brand new Mercedes Benze. Al Won was my salesman and he so very kind. He was not pushy and went above and beyond to answer my questions. He helped me with making the right decision in getting the perfect very best vehicle! Best car buying experience ever!!!
Al took great care of me. Down to earth guy, made me feel right at home. I would recommend Al, the Chinese dude ROCKS! Bought a Benz perfect!
They gave me an estimate and charged me for diagnosing a part with an active recall, which I learned of after the fact (not from Gurley Leep). Staff was very rude and not knowledgeable at all. I will be taking my car to a dealership with integrity.
I worked with Vincent Romano at the Gurley Leep on Grape Road and had a great experience. Vincent was great about helping me to find the car that was right for my needs. He never tried to sell me anything above my price range or anything he felt would be unreliable. We were able to communicate through text for the few weeks I was looking and established a great working relationship. I was looking for something for 4-6K to get me buy through paying off our newer car. It took a few weeks, because he was completely honest about letting me know when there was nothing for me at their dealership, but he did find the perfect car for me (2003 Honda Accord) for right in the middle of my price range. They were able to drop it off and pick it up from my mechanic for me to get checked out (as well as another car or two I looked at). I might add that my trusted mechanic whose been serving the area for years said that if I wasnt buying the car, he would. Finding a car dealer and a car salesman you feel like has your best interest in mind is sometimes something that seems impossible, but I left my car buying experience feeling great about it. I usually shop Honda dealers exclusively, but I know that when I replace a car in the future, I will be checking with Vincent to see what Hondas he can find for me.
I went to the dealership, not expecting to lease a car. A few hours after arriving, I had a car . . . Cody B. was extremely helpful, thoughtful, flexible and professional (I was a walk-in, after all). He has showed great care, both during my visit to the dealership and since I drove the car away, to ensure that I have the best experience with my new Audi.
I was reluctant in purchasing a car. My past experiences have been very stressful. Jordan Bowen is amazing in what he does. The entire team worked together to make purchasing a car enjoyable instead of stressful. I will never go anywhere else. Thank You.
Absolutely the best! They worked hard for me.Tanya understood my preferences and needs and stayed within my budget. Everyone very genuine and professional- I will not buy a car anywhere else. Get there you owe it to yourself.
I bought a 2014 E-350 last year with less then 1k on it. It now has 18k on it. This car has stranded us twice with flat tires. I havent had a flat tire in over 9 year before this car. I have been told the tires are fine and they tried charging me about $ 250 for a new tire, after throw A fit they replaced it for free. This second flat tire I went to Discount Tire and they were able to give me a $115 discount due to the remaining life of the tire. Gurley Leep was unwilling to offer any discount.. The car came with locking lug nuts but no key, I have been promised three times new lugs with a key but I am still waiting. It has been over three months now.I received a coupon for a free first service but when I went to cash in on it I was told that it was not available to use for the service that I needed. I felt scammed.
My car was drive able but without power steering, ABS, and traction control. I called Gurley Leep and spoke to the service manager. He was extremely helpful and was able to get the part and car fixed quickly. I highly recommend them!
I was thrilled with my car buying experience at Gurley Leep Motor Werks. My salesman Cody Benson went above and beyond to help me locate and select the exact car I was looking for. The finance manager Bobby Rhodes explained and helped me select the extra protection needed for my car giving me absolute peace of mind. I would like to thank the staff once again would recommend this dealership to my friends to satisfy their car buying needs.
I dont get all the negative reviews, were you all at the same place as me? I assisted my elderly Mother to buy a new Beetle. I found all aspects of the buying experience great. Mike Kulesia, our sales consultant, was friendly, not pushy, and went beyond the call of duty to teach my technology- challenged Mom to operate her new car. A good experience!
Id like to thank Scott, Bobby and Erin for making the purchase of my 2017 MB GLE 350 the best vehicle purchase experience that Ive ever had. They attended to my every need and answered every question. I especially would like to acknowledge the incredible effort that Mark put forth to locate a vehicle with the options that I wanted. I would recommend Gurley Leep to anyone in the market for a new vehicle as I was so impressed by the top-of-the-line service that I received from everyone I met with there.
My RV (on a Sprinter/Mercedes chassis) broke down on I-80 on a Saturday of a holiday weekend. I was heading from Vermont to Montana.Made a few calls and was referred to Gurley Leep Motorwerks. Got the RV towed to their facility on Saturday. Because of the holiday weekend, they were not available to look at it until Tuesday. They diagnosed the problem Tuesday morning and ordered the parts. Parts were installed Wednesday and I was on my way Wednesday afternoon. These people are awesome can care about their customers!
My husband and I recently purchased a vehicle from Gurley Leep and are very pleased with our experience. Cody Benson was our sales rep, he was genuine & not pushy. Everyone we dealt with was very helpful.
Tony Evans and the MotorWerks team did a great job helping us find the perfect car for our needs. They are professional and knowledgeable. No high pressure, old school sales pressure, just straight-forward, candid answers to our questions.
Go see Tony Evans for some first class knowledge, service and hospitality. Gurley Leep is far and away one of the finest dealerships I have ever experienced. Keep up the great work!
I just purchased my first car and can honestly say that I had an excellent experience. I worked with Shirley Richardson and she was fantastic! She took the time to sit down with me and go over what was important to me when purchasing a vehicle. My top priority was sticking within my budget, and she made sure that I was completely comfortable when it came to looking at the vehicles and going over all the options. I walked away with my dream car (within my budget) and a lasting relationship. I really felt that the employees cared about my experience and treated me like family.
Took me right in after appointment. Great crew.
I bought a 2018 Volkswagen Tiguan from this dealership. Al was my salesman. He was very pleasant to work with. He made the buying process fun and easy:)
This was the first service on my Jetta. The service technician was super friendly and helpful. I left it at 8:00 and at 2:30 when I arrived back it was complete, washed, and ready to go. Signing out was easy and quick.
Staff is kinda rude not reel helpful
Very pleasant buying experience. Tony did a great job. A knowledgeable salesperson, who presented me with a fair deal, is always a pleasure to work with.
They made it real easy for me. In and out with no problems. Best car buying experience Ive had in a long time, I will defiantly buy from Gurley Leep again.
These people are thieves. They changed my tires and claimed that they aligned them. 20,000 miles later the recommended to change all my tires. When I called the manager he took no responsibility. They also recommended to change the batteries which they had changed the year before. These people are terrible. Their services are fraudulent and they recommend you to do things that are not even necessary. I had the car checked by a trusted mechanic who advised me to avoid this place. AVOID THIS PLACE. THEY ARE THIEVES. The service manager, CHRIS ZELLERS is rude and takes pride in being a thief.
Outstanding Dealership! Great Service! They deliver what they promise, would definitely recommend them to anyone.Mike & Karen Mills
They are commissed service associates who don’t really make a living wage unless they sell you add on service that you really don’t need. We actually bought an extended service, which the denied even selling us until I furnished Copy of original loan paperwork. We then had our service done about a week or so ago and our car was stolen from their lot. We were treated like 3rd class citizens although we bought the car from them and had all of our service done by them. I beleve this is the worst car dealership that I have ever encountered in my 30 years of purchasing vehicles. Do not do business with them.
I brought an Aldi Q7 from Al Won, was a splendid salesman. When I had questions, he would answer them with enough explanation that was enough for even me to understand. I think if it wasnt for him, I wouldnt be able to be convinced to purchase the Aldi Q7. And now, Im happy that I made this purchase. Special thanks to Al Won.
I had a great experience when I went to get my Mercedes SL worked on. The service manager Julie was a delight to work with. Will definitely be bringing my car back here.
Sent our 2014 gl 450 in for a water leak in the cooling system and less than a 1000 miles it was leaking again.Called Fred and explained the issue and brought the car back to have it checked out again.Loaner car was provided and repairs were made at no costWill continue to have car serviced at your location
I worked with Bob Schell. Absolutely fantastic! Not only did he make me feel calm and at ease during my first car buying experience, he also followed up everyday of the process.
Went in for a tire issue got it handle quick and no charge. Nice staff.
We came to Gurley Leep looking for a car that (with our large SUV) would fit our new condominium garage. We knew it had to be smaller than our Honda Accord. I wanted a VW Beetle because of my 12 year love affair with my 71 Red Super Beetle, my first car. So salesman, Magic Mike Kulesia supposedly didnt have much selling to do. The only thing is there are many more choices in terms of options and engines than there were in 71 and he helped get us through those options to make our decision. We were actually allowed to take a car home overnight to see how it fit our garage. The next day on the way back we actually stopped at a different dealer to look at their subcompact. It was a little smaller and cost a lot less. When we got back to Mike, I asked him to tell me all the reasons I should buy a Beetle instead of the other car. He did convincing job of bringing me back to my first choice. Thrilled with my black convertible turbo Beetle. Thanks Mike. Talk to you soon for my second tutorial on all the options!
Fantastic experience working with Jordon Armold. Delivered on everything promised. Easy in and out.
Everyone was great and very helpful! Magic Mike helped me get the deal done in a very short amount of time. Thanks to everyone for a great car buying experience!
Like many here, we once thought Gurley Leep was a good place, until we caught the service department in a lie that cost us several hundred dollars. If you cant trust a business it doesnt matter how well they seem to treat you. I should have done my homework and check the Gurley Leep BBB ratings first. They are the lowest rated new car dealer/service department in the Michiana area. Almost all complaints are related to trust issues. They actually have more issues filed with the BBB than all the other new car dealers combined.
I purchased a certified 2015 Kia Sorento from Gurley Leep in January. I noticed about a month or so ago that the brakes were not like they should. I took it to my auto shop for an oil change when I was told that I have several critical issues on the Kia that need dealt with. Such as back brakes, rotors and pads, rear shocks, 2 bad tires and that’s just the major issues. I called Gurley Leep and they wanted to of course take a look as well. I dropped it off yesterday and explained to Kia Service what was going on and that this is completely unsatisfactory. They had to look twice because they missed the first time. But did confirm what the other auto shop had stated. After speaking with Hailey, she got with the Motorwerks dept as that is who I purchased it through and it was confirmed that they would do all repairs today, the 3rd at their cost. Parts were confirmed that they were in and that I would get a call from a Brandon to discuss pickup. I received a call at about 8:30 today from Kia Service stating that it was not authorized and that they did not know Hailey had called Motorwerks and confirmed. So now my car is still sitting there all day, unfixed and I have been given the runaround all day. No one can contact Tim Chapman, who is the one who has to authorize. I cannot believe the disorganized chaos here and absolute disregard for the customer. Let me say, when I purchased this vehicle, I was told I would not have issues for years. I was concerned about this as I had just lost my husband the month before and could not afford to pay for repairs for a vehicle that shouldn’t need them and explained that to my salesman. So to me, I feel I was given false information from the moment I walked into the store. Thank you Gurley Leep for making my year much more heartbreaking.
Friendly and courtesy are definite attributes! They make me feel reassured that my car is in good condition after leaving.
Better pricing and service available almost anywhere but here. Both VW and MB.
Arrived with a Mercedes rental car under warranty, having issues. Rental company said to take it to GL just a mile away to get looked at for quick diag. Service manager refused, said they were too busy cuz they all go home in 45 minutes. It was 4:15. They close at 6. After explaining that it was rental and there was a time crunch, (military related), he again refused to even do diag, told me to come in next week! He then said you cant do diag on this model there is no OBD II interface! And of course when challenged he said only certified dealer could work on it due to warranty. We were encouraged to drive it as is and leave, set appointment for next week. Lol.
The service and professionalism was outstanding. Taggart was my sales person and he invited me to look at several models online and eventually came up with a Volkswagen Golf. He and I went for a spin and I was sold on the car. I enjoy so many features about this car and am in no way disappointed. I will seek out Taggart James when I am ready to make another deal. Incidentally, this will be my fourth car purchased at this dealership. Enough said.
My fiancé and I walked in to Gurley Leep not knowing much about what we wanted except the thought of an SUV. From the very start Joel was so helpful and asked so many great questions essentially narrowing down our search to the perfect one! During the whole process everyone made us feel so comfortable and not once did I feel pressured to buy like prevously with my first car purchase out of state. I highly recommend Gurley Leep for any vehicle purchase!
Everyone there was very knowledgeable about the car we bought. Quick process without feeling rushed. Will buy our next car there.
Liz Georges is a knowledgeable and friendly. Shes a great consultant and I would highly recommend her!
Very Easy going, got me lookin at the cars I wanted. Stress free.!
I wouldnt suggest buying a thing of these people, I drive two hours to see a supposed clean 1 owner clear car fax truck. Turned out to be wreck, dirty and beat up. The salesman told me thats what u get when u buy a truck. What a waste of time. Dont let this happen to u.
I bought my very first VW from Gurley Leep in 2004 and had an excellent experience. We moved out of the area that same year and I kept that car for 14 yrs. We now live in Tennessee where I purchased a 2017 Passat from the local VW dealer. My first service at the local TN dealer was awful to the point I will never go there again. We still travel to Indiana to visit family and thought I’d see if I could get the 20K service done while in town. To my delight I was able to schedule a Saturday service appt. Arriving at the dealer brought back a familiar feeling—this team is about providing great customer service. Ryan was an excellent advisor and my service was completed in no time at all. I’m so pleased that I am considering coordinating my future service appointments with family visits in Mishawaka so I can come back to Gurley Leep.
I would recommend Mitch Sebastian to all. I would buy another car from him and Gurley Leep. We like our 2014 Terrain.
