So glad I came when I did.Mathew was the BIGGEST help. He explained the best way to apply my insurance and was the greatest help finding exactly the frames I wanted. I looped at four different ones, he was able to see similarities and go pick out exactly what I wanted. First try. The manager Lindsey was great as well, she explained about some glasses that are being offered in the future.
My son lost one of his contact while we were visiting KC from out of town. We found this Target Optical close to our hotel and figured theyd be able to help us as we use Target Optical here at home. The young lady helping us was super helpful! I didnt catch her name but based on the other reviews I bet it was Lindsey. She definitely went out of her way to help. When it was all said and done, we walked out with a replacement contact for my son at no charge after spending only about 10-15 minutes there. It was a great blessing and relief and it allowed us to continue our vacation without issue. Id say it was great customer service but that day we werent even customers - it was just great service. We were helped simply because Lindsey saw our need and was willing to help us out of the goodness of her heart. Thank you so much!
We stopped in for an ask that was not something they had to do and they were able to help happily.We are on a road trip and my daughter bent her glasses. We tried to adjust them with little success. We swing by the Optical center and they were happy to fix them get her back to seeing clearly again. The staff was very nice and quick.Also, we did not buy these glasses from target. Thanks for the help.
I purchased my glasses at a different place, out of state. After an accident at work where they were knocked off my head, I needed to have them adjusted. So I stopped in to see if they could. No problem. She explained what she was doing while adjusting them. They fit so much better now. So glad I stopped in.
Had a great experience at the optical dept. The young man that helped me choose new lenses for my husband was so patient and helpful. The glasses look great and the girl that checked me out was quick and friendly. I would definitely recommend.
I had stopped in the other day. Lindsey has great customer service and as soon as we walked in she approached us. She was very helpful during this time. My son needed his first pair of glasses and Lindsey was able to answer every question we had about them. We were able to pick some glasses out by the end of our visit and we will be back to purchase them.
I accidentally ended up at a Target twice as far from my home, but the excellent and proactive customer service kept me making the extra drive. Lindsay and Matthew are the best.
I was simply grocery shopping when I noticed this target optical stocks Oakley glasses. I had been wanting a pair of clear prescription Oakley glasses to match my tinted Oakley sunglasses. Mathew and the team at this location worked very hard to locate the sunglasses frames (only one store had them in this region,) order them to their branch, and fit them with clear lenses. They have unprecedented customer service.
Extremely friendly staff. Helped me with three pairs of glasses free of charge. Would definitely recommend visiting Lindsey and Mathew.

Not really sure what other negative reviews are talking about but my guess is theyve had not so great of staff in the past. At the time of this review, Ive had nothing but excellent service at this location. Both Chelsie and Lindsey have been very helpful, patient and excellent at their jobs and Id recommend going to either of them for help. They both returned all of my calls when I left messages promptly. They deserve a nice shout-out for a job well done and kind hearts!Note: This review is for the optical center inside of this Target location, where you actually pick your frames and get your glasses after having an exam and getting a prescription to fill.

Went to target optical and the independent in the building for the first time this month.I’ve lived in the area for four years and it was so nice to FINALLY have a visit where I didn’t have to fight off a hard sell of products and FINALLY get great customer service from staff :).I mistakenly walked into the target optical looking for the doctor. Rather than pointing me to where the doctors office, was an optician walked me down! When she brought me to the doctor’s she simply told me they were available for contacts and glasses but didn’t hard sell me at all which was so different from my experiences at other places (I’m a frugal non confrontational wimp, so I hate hard sells). The reception at doctors office was personable and hospitable, very different from where I had been in years past. That means a lot when I’m shelling out dough after Christmas. Dr Vu was so friendly and really listened when I explained I’ve had trouble reading small print for the past few years even after getting corrective lenses.I’ve really ALWAYS had GREAT eye doctors, without exception, in the area, but it’s nice this time to have a great experience broadly with opticians, staff, and reception as well. (Pardon my rant, but I’ll never forget forking over a bunch of money for contact lenses at a different office a year ago and the ladies at the counter gave the taller, younger, better-looking guy in front of me a saline solution kit [which coming from a family of opticians I understood to be standard] and I didn’t even a get “thank you.”- which was consistent with the cold response I got when I told them I wasn’t buying glasses there])At the Target office My prescription was given to me right away rather than having to ask for it (some places don’t even give you a copy unless you ask for it so you are pressured to buy their products there). Normally I try buying my glasses at the cheapest place possible (Don’t judge!) but because the opticians at target were so nice and not “hard-selly” I went back the next day and got them ordered there.
Purchased glasses a year ago...lenses started working out of the frame...I have never had that happen. Took them in...they fixed one but the other wont go back in and they offered nothing. Today I took them out if the case and the temple has broken off at the hinge. Dont go here...bad product and service.
So unprofessional and unorganized! My original eye appointment was January 18. Went in for my appointment, and the receptionist is rude and dismissive. The doctors assistant is rude and somehow just expects me to know the drill, when and where to put my face for the various pre-appointment tests, all while not having my contacts in or glasses on (nearly blind without them). He finishes that, and I have my appointment. The doctor himself is perfectly polite, professional and knowledgeable. No complaints about him specifically, but there is a lack of communication between him and the receptionist (or she fundamentally lacks the ability to understand the instructions in a chart). The doc gave me a prescription for glasses, but can’t give me an official contacts prescription, because he doesn’t carry samples of the brand I want, and they have to order samples. He gives me samples of a different brand to hold me over until I can order mine. The receptionist supposedly orders my samples and says they will take up to 2-3 weeks to arrive and that they will call me when they come in. I wait 2 weeks, no call. After a few more days, I call and she says ‘Oh, yeah, they’re here. You’ll have to make another appointment with the doc to try them on. They are only open on Wednesdays and Fridays. So, I wait another 5 days, and go to my appointment. By this point, it has been 2.5 weeks since my original appointment. I take time off work to go in for this fitting and she pulls out my samples and they are the wrong brand. She ordered the wrong samples, made me wait 2+ weeks to try them on, lose time at work, and they aren’t even right. She talks to the Dr., who tells her that the brand I ordered is in the chart and she just read it wrong when ordering. She then says she’ll order the right ones and they should be there in 2-3 days. I ask her why it took 2-3 weeks last time and now they will only take 2-3 days. She says that their shipments depend on the Target store shipping. It has now been 3.5 weeks since then, and still no call. I just called them and she says “oh, yeah, they’ve been here. When you left I told you to call. There are too many people with samples to call all of them.” ARE YOU KIDDING ME? My range of shipping is either 2-3 days or 2-3 weeks and I’m just supposed to call every day to see if you did your job? So, now I have to wait until Friday for my appointment to get my samples, and then another unknown shipping period for my actual contact order to come in. As of now, it has been 6 weeks since my original appointment, and by the time I actually get my contacts, it will likely be 8+ weeks. This is absolutely the most terrible experience at an optometrist I’ve ever had, and I’ve been wearing contacts/glasses for 25 years.Calling Target guest relations did absolutely nothing to help this situation. Do not waste your time, money or health insurance here.Note: This is not directed at the doctor, or the Target optical inside of the store. This is specifically about the bad experience with the receptionist, assistant and general lack of organization in the doctors office.Also, this is not an anti-Target rant. I love Target, especially this store, and I was very disappointed that my trusty Target let me down.
Made the appointment Wednesday March 14 for eye exam on Friday 16. I thought they would ask for my info for my insurance on phone they didn’t. They also didn’t tell me to be early. I walk into Target right appointment time only to sit there and realize that where you get eye exam is actually on the out side building no biggie. Walk over with another couple that was there also for appointment. While I was filling out paperwork the lady behind the desk was calling my ins to make sure I was eligible. All while this other couple is in the office she was putting my personal info out there like it was her own like My SSN, name. I have had my identity stolen before all they need is little info and run with it. Not say these people would of but you never know. Also while she was talking to my ins company she lie and told them there were like 5 people behind me and she was in big hurry. I quickly got up and ask for my Insurance card and ID multiple times before she gave it back. I will not be going back and I will let all of my UPSER Know this is not the place to get eye exam. I will let my union brothers and sister know today on our FB site this is not the place.If you want all your personal info out there this the place to go.
Called twice they answer the phone didnt actually answer and just hung up on me completely garbage customer service.
Unprofessional sales person. I should have read the reviews first. I was told it would take three weeks. I never received a call, when I called them, I was told my glasses had been there for two weeks.
