It was my first time there and I really enjoyed the food and the atmosphere. It is a very homey kind a place. The wait staff were terrific always coming by to check on you. And the food was terrific. I will definitely tell my friends and will come back for. Lunch and dinner one day.

Always busy when we drove past. The food is very good. Introduced me to manudo which I enjoyed and found very filling. Well be back for more.

First time here on advice from a friend. They have pozale, which is a favorite of my wife. Food was excellent as well as the price. Staff was very friendly, and attentive. Definitely going back and will be my only Mexican place from now on!

Very disappointed. I order a chicken fried steak but received a chicken milanesa. That was not a chicken fried chicken. It was flat and the little meat it actually had was dry. It was pretty much batter.

My daughter and I went to breakfast and I had two flour tacos of chorizo,egg and potato. It came with beans on the side. The tacos were very delicious and loaded. This is my second time I have eaten breakfast there. The staff is just amazing. Highly recommend!

To the Owner of Diaz Diner, Im a regular customer and have witnessed your son in the black mustang park in the Handicap Parking spaces. There was parking available right in front and yet he parks in the Handicap Space. My husband and myself are both handicapped and many of your customers are elderly and many handicapped. He did it again today and I spoke up and said something because other customers were talking about it and asked the waitress to say something, but they were scared to say anything. I wasnt. The next time he does it I will then believe your family has no Respect for the customers who helped to buy him that nice black mustang and I will then have to take my business elsewhere. Thank you.

So I am here now at Diaz Diner and for the second time we walk in, no one is there to greet or at least say good morning. The cashier lady is too busy on her phone to even look up. We don’t know if to sit or wait to be seated due to the fact that there’s no communication from the staff to whoever walks in. Such a good restaurant with awful customer service. The owner needs to train this staff to ensure the business continues to be successful because things can easily go downhill. Hope things change around here because why go somewhere to be ignored and unattended.

Great for breakfast! Fluffy pancakes, crisp bacon and perfect over easy eggs...they are always walking around refilling your coffee! If you crave that great filling breakfast and taking a blast from the past vibe, this is the place to be!

Went on Friday for their seafood dinner. It was very good. All 4 of us had the fish! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

In this times you would think that the Diner would think of the safety of their diners but that is not the case as their tables are right next to each other. and at times I had other diners sitting less than 6 ft from me. I’m sure they’re following the county and state capacity restrictions but none of those closed tables were between diners plus one side was closed. Restricting diners to bunch up on one side of the restaurant. Yes I glad that local restaurants are opened but they must think of their customer’s safety first instead of profits!

The food is great! But the customer service is BAD. The lady in the front does not even acknowledge the customers coming in. She seems she does not want to be bothered. Customers are standing at the door not knowing they can sit anywhere or wait to be seated. She just stares and continues on.

Great place to go with friends and family. Excellent if you are looking for home made Mexican food.

Great food, good prices and excellent service. I read that someone thought that the prices here were too much for what you get and thats totally not the case. I got a migas plate that comes with a large portion of migas, potatoes and refried beans, and two tortillas for a cost of $5.49. Your coffee mug will never empty out and the staff is quick, friendly and efficient. I remember coming here as a kid, so these guys know what theyre doing if theyve been around that long!

Machacado con huevo ala Mexicana! If this looks good, thats because it is the best! Very fresh! This restaurant has a little bit of everything done very well. The staff is amazing. Lets keep going local!! You wont be disappointed!

My husband is very picky with his enchiladas and he agrees the ones at Diaz Diner are hands down some of the best!! Only downfall we noticed was the sugar cookies we purchased at checkout were overpriced and dry.

The food and staff are great. But what about the menu? Way to much . Simplify! 20 tacos and enchiladas and few burritos. Who needs 20 different tacos. Simplify! Tacos with choice of protein and filling of your choice. How hard can it be.

Really really bad service. Seems like servers only reappear to collect their tip after the customer has left. If I could leave 0-stars then I would. Food took forever and was only brought out after our waiter decided to grace us with his presence. I dont expect to be wowed but damn some basic service would be appreciated. We always get good service and good food at Diaz Diner. They have a varied menu and specials each day, but we always order Mexican food. Its more crowded in the midday, so we usually wait until the noon crowd thins, but we more often meet family there at night.

Authentic Mexican food. Served fresh and delicious. What sets them aside from other dinners? Their food is not greasy or overly cooked.

Best Mexican Restaurant in mission hands down. Love there breakfast with there homemade flour tortillas 😋

Had the paradilla, terrible! First of all the cook burnt the meat, had to scrape it off the skillet. Told the server he just ignored me. Second, it had no flavor just bland. Third, hardly any onions or peppers, the 2 pieces of peppers I did have were raw. The only thing that was good was the soup. Worst Mexican food I ever had.

Good Mexican Restaurant that still serves free chips. Great food for moderate prices. You wont be paying too hight for a fajita plate. Delicious plates with its two sides and tortillas.

Good and affordable food. I really like the fajita taco plate. It has generous portions and great tasting meat. My parents love to eat there during the week and especially on Saturday mornings. Its a favorite of winter Texans and while theyre in the area.
