Im an engineer in the science field and have to pick up packages frequently for work. Ive worked with many FedEx offices as I travel often and this one is the most shameful in a line of generally good experiences with FedEx. It used to be convenient to pick up at the Olathe office as I lived closer but moving to Merriam I have resorted to sparingly using this office out of convenience. Two very poor experiences have driven me to post this review. One detailed me waiting for a part for some lab equipment for a hospital. Unfortunately I had not been forwarded the tracking number but the shipment was made in my name. I checked with this office twice by phone as I was traveling to see if my package was onsite, both times they had said no, however it turned out my package was there and ultimately ended up getting sent back early as they frequently violate their 5 day hold rule. I say frequently as the second time I had a bad experience I did have the tracking number which revealed my package was being held however they retained that it was not onsite. Upon my insisting they checked their outgoing packages and it was discovered that they had set mine to be sent back a whole 2 days prior to their stated policy. During this exchange I was dealing with their assistant manager who was quite dismissive despite me explaining the situation. I do not dislike FedEx and quite honestly the staff at the Olathe Santa Fe branch are quite amazing. While working with them they took the effort to get to know me, my work and would even call before sending my packages back as they truly cared for me as a customer and by extension my clients. Thoughly disappointed with this branch and their approach to their clients.

Staff was helpful but be careful at the self serve kiosk. I was somehow charged $10.00 for two photocopies. It was supposed to be less than $2. I foolishly didnt get a receipt cuz it was, you know, less than $2 so I now own two very expensive, letter sized pieces of paper.

I am 86 years old, and about a month ago I needed to ship a heavy package to Montana. Thanks to a young man employee at the Mission, Kansas store, I had a satisfying experience. John P. graciously carried my package in from my car and conducted the transaction with clarity and kindness. I wanted to give him a tip for his excellent service, but he politely refused. Kudos to John P. who made doing business with FedEx a pleasant experience!

If youre feeling lazy or simply want someone with more expertise to package your item for you this FedEx is right for you. The staff is friendly and very accommodating. The store is always spotless and parking is a breeze. A+

No immediate greeting. Being the 3rd person waiting in line, the associate on the spectrum, maybe, kept trying to make me last, although I was definitely waiting before some of the customers that walked in AFTER. I was looked at by two associates and the manager, I think, asked them to ask me if I needed packaging. I said yes to the gentlemen that asked me and I said Im definitely next. He kept saying thats fine, but do you need packaging? Again, I said yes, but I wanted to let you know Im next. He said ok, but do you need packaging? Really? Im answering you but all youre hearing is Im next. Ok, yes, I need packaging. The lady that came after me said no problem to me being next. If customers know what order, why not the associates? Not sure why there was a little debate. Frustrating. He then, grabbed an envelope and proceeds to package my item and about halfway through, says this is the cheapest option, unless you want a box. I wouldve liked to be asked first, not midway through. Im like whatever at that moment and tell him the envelope was fine since he was nearly done. I didnt ask for cheap. I didnt ask for anything because he chose for me. I get up to the counter and the cashier asks if I have an account. I told her yes and she asked for the account number. I had to log in, while I was doing that she asks for my ID instead. I show her and she asks to scan it, so I turned it around so she didnt have to touch it, keeping contact of all sorts at a minimum. She asks the sender and recipient info and I clearly speak AND spell it and she still had errors. Im getting further annoyed. She gives me a total and asks for my card. I couldnt exit fast enough. One competitor mentioned my package wouldnt make it on time due to short staff and quadruple the load and the more common place was already closed. If I werent on a deadline and not have run into the competitor issue, I wouldve bypassed this place altogether. The entire experience will send me elsewhere in the future.

They are good but they charge me $30 surface charge just because I wanted to print it right away and literally that was no customer at their place I told them why you charging me this $30 they said because you need it right now and it did not make any sense

This location is very rude. This is the last time I’ll be coming back. Their efficiency is horrible. They have forced me to get back in line after I wasn’t done with a transaction. Not friendly. Better off going to Westport or 85th and State Line.

Worst customer service experience I’ve had in a long time. All I needed was to print a shipping label. I had to ask the employee 4-5 times to repeat what he was saying because he was mumbling and I could not hear him over the music in the store. I said over and over, “I can’t hear you? Can you maybe write it down?” I couldn’t hear his response to that question. I took a step forward to try to hear him and he took 2 steps back (because of social distancing I’m assuming). He hardly looked at me when he was talking either.Eventually he placed the shipping label on the counter and I expect to pay. I must have stood there for 6-7 minutes in silence while he tries to ring up my $0.16 purchase. I almost left but I really needed the label printed that day.No apologies were made and one of the worst parts was there was 3-4 other employees standing around farther behind the counter chatting and doing nothing. One of them noticeably laughed when they saw me struggling to ask the guy to speak loud enough for me to hear. I suspected the man could possibly be autistic, so I understand if that is the case, but his co-workers should have known to help if that was true.

The people at this store are great! I had to submit expense reports for my employer and foolishly lost my receipt for some boxes. Cindi took the time to go into their system and look up my transaction manually, using the last 4 digits of my card and the transaction amount. Unfortunately, it had been more than 30 days and this particular transaction had not been saved. However, she was able to present me with an official bid offer for the items I purchased. Though not an exact record, it was accepted by my finance dept. Needless to say, they go above and beyond here!

Horrible customer service. The staff wants to find ways not to help nor offer any kind of service. UPS is across the street or even the USPS is in the same building. Recommend either of those options.

This store seems to either get excellent reviews or horrible reviews. I have never had anything but good service here from helpful employees. My only complaint is that sometimes they are very understaffed. That isnt the fault of the people working there, but a deficiency in the FedEx scheduling logrithms/parameters. Kind of like how Wal-Mart never seems to have enough cashiers.

I was in this office 2 days in a row trying to mail a PC monitor to a friend in Washington. The monitor box had unusual dimensions and the team were incredibly friendly and helpful in getting it shipped.5/5 stars from me. I really cant put into words how amazing the staff was. The first time they packed the box it ended up too large to ship via USPS, so I took it back the next day and asked what they could do. The crew completely unpacked the box and repacked it by cutting the box down in size, but still maintaining the large amount of bubble wrap. Amazing job, super commitment, and a team that seemed to have fun doing their job.I had intended to ship via USPS (originally they had quoted a cheaper price), but ended up shipping with FedEx! They were only $5 more than USPS and the estimated delivery is a day earlier as well.Goto this store for any shipping needs!

Called to get a rate and find out what time I would need to drop off the pkg to get next day...after putting me on hold for a few minutes, someone came back on the line, mumbled something quickly, and transferred me to the main automated number. Wow....if I wanted to use the main number I would not have called the store directly. If you cant be bothered to answer 2 simple questions, I cant be bothered to use your services

Theresa was helpful, went out of her way to ensure fax arrived, called promptly and had everything in place waiting for my arrival. I have utilized this facilities services 4-5 times a year. I have had to wait, but generally it is due to customers not being prepared when arriving to store.

Ive never had a good experience with the staff at this location. The employees are rude and slow.Today while dropping off packages Jan told me they needed to be repacked because she could hear something moving inside. She then tried to charge me for the packing paper, what a scam! The boxes were fine and honestly I was offended she opened them. Dont waste your time here, there is a UPS store just across the street where quality people work.

FedEx Office Print & Ship Center at 5437 Johnson Dr, Mission, Kansas 66205 I went to the FedEx store to ship the phone back in the original unopened box with the new shipping label attached to the front . The clerk refused to let me send it back .He said that I would have to purchase a new box for $11. this is the box that you delivered it in why not .He said it was due to company regulations. I have sent stuff back to Republic Wireless in the past and the same delivery box. I couldnt understand why they refused. So I told him I would ship it within Postal Service and pay the postage myself. it just seems like they want to rob the customer I wanted you to know about my bad experience with FedEx and maybe you should choose a different carrier such as the United States Postal Service.Wednesday - 8:21 AM

I just wanted to ship a package for work like I do everyday. I made the mistake of stopping here instead of going to my usual store on Metcalf since I was in the area. Never again. I was the only customer in the store. Terrible service. After 15 minutes of the manager helping me and having no clear end in sight, I left and went back to Metcalf and was in and out in 3 minutes. What is so hard about shipping a package? Thats what you do. At least she was nice.

Everytime I have used this FedEx they act like Im bothering them. I thought maybe it was just a bad couple of experiences, but no its every time. I drive out of my way to the fedex on Metcalf because they are personable and helpful. You cant underestimate the power of extraordinary customer service.

I am updating my initial review. This store has different management now, and the staff are friendly and helpful. I am keeping my initial review below as a warning to companies not to hire incompetent people with bad attitudes. It *will* be noted..................................The first time I went to this store, two clerks were at the front chatting. Didnt acknowledge me as I walked in. (Its not about *me*; its about customer service.) When I went foraging around seeing how I might make some photocopies, eventually one of the clerks looked at me, then looked away. When I got to a copier and started fiddling around with how to use my USB with it -- something I have never done -- nobody came to help. So, I went to the chatty clerks and asked for help. One of them looked like I had ruined her day, came over, and....to make a long story short....was marginally helpful. Spoke a few things then left to go chat again, so I had to go get her again. Shockingly bad service.The next time I went to this store, someone asked me while copying if I needed help, which was normal customer service -- what a normal, competent business should be doing, nothing special -- but I had it figured out the second time around.I only go here if I have to copy something on Sunday from USB flash when nothing else is open. And I avoid the staff because I dont trust this place. Two chatty, rude clerks compared to one helpful clerk -- the manager of this store is obviously incompetent, so I regard the whole store as not to be trusted, not to be relied on. Only good for DYI tasks.The UPS store across the street, however -- that is a competent, well-run place.

Truly some of the worst customer service Ive experienced. I had four 50lb packages to ship that I had neatly packed and strapped. The man at the counter did not acknowledge me as I waited for a drop-off receipt. He grabbed each package single-handedly by the nylon strapping rather than picking up with both hands, and pulled up some of the packing tape on each box in doing so. Each package was just basically thrown on top of each other without the slightest care. When he finishd scanning the labels he told me the tracking numbers had been used before and that they could not be shipped. I explained that I had just printed the labels on my computer just 10 minutes ago. He said there is nothing he could do. I asked really? nothing you can do? He said youll just have to call 1800 GOFEDEX and reconfirmed that there was nothing he could do - even though there we both were - at a Fedex Store. I have shipped several packages at this location and hear the employees give the youll have to call 1800 fedex line to customers all the time when there is a problem.I asked him to find out exactly where my packages had been shipped to if I was using a used tracking number. He looked into it and realized that as I was bringing in the packages one at a time, another employee had already scanned them, and this is why it showed that the tracking numbers were already in use, and also why he was going to have me call Fedex to figure it on my own. Total incompetence, and he never appologized for his mistake nor thanked me for coming in. This Fedex location is a joke.

My package is sitting at the local Mission FedEx office but the manager will not hold for me until 6 PM tonight. She plans to ship it back to CA even though I was never notified of its arrival and the current tracking information is wrong. How hard it is it to hold for a couple hours while I finish my job today. Guess I wont be shipping to this Mission store anymore.
