Accu Arms has always delivered great work at a fair price with a quick turnaround. What else could you ask for in a gunsmith?
I needed a quick checkup on my 12 guage and Cody was able to help me out today. He was able to assure me its working as intended, and answered a couple questions that i had. Cozy store.
Very great guy, explained everything I needed to know, guy has been working in gun smithing for 37 years and has been working there for 34.I’m a happy customer, make sure you come ready with cash or a check, he doesn’t take card. He also has plenty of ammo in stock
Dropped off barrel and muzzle device to be pin and welded, day later it was ready. Pin and weld work is done nicely and the weld isnt spread across the top, price is very reasonable for the work done. Will come back in the future for more work
Did a trade on a new hard-to-find new item. Chris gave me a super price on the new unobtainium rifle that he had just ordered. Even better was the trade-in allowance which was better than I expected. Very busy place and I know why. Hes the best!
Let me start by apologizing for being a former resident of Ca. Upon moving to the area, I stopped into this location and met the owner Kris. He is a friendly guy, professional and definitely knows his firearms. Also he is well versed in the ever changing local, state and federal regulations pertaining to the sale and transfer of a firearms. His prices are fair, and he’s the type of guy that won’t take you for a ride on repair or maintenance costs for your guns. He is a respected business owner in his community and I will continue to do patronize his business.
Quality craftsmanship, great candor, highly recommended.
Quaint little shop that tends to have more knowledge and supplies than the big corporate big boys do.
Chris the owner told me it’s usually same day turn around on small jobs. 2 months later he tells me it is a week out. 4 months later I go to check and he hasn’t started. I would ship them somewhere else if I were you.
Kris is awesome and an incredibly nice guy. I took my Remington 870 in on a Thursday, it had a broken spring ejector. Kris told me he couldnt finish it that day but would could come in on Saturday and to give him a call Saturday morning. Saturday at 11am I called him, he had it fixed and ready to roll by 12pm. Outstanding service and great work. Cant recommend him enough. Ill be taking any future firearms issues to him.
Very friendly and knowledgeable. Great service. Thanks for all your help.
Had custom 1911 work performed. When I picked it up, checkered front strap hadnt been pointed up and was crooked. And the grip safety wasnt in the box and never found. All I got was a shrug of the shoulders. Never again
Kris is awesome! 35 years experience, incredibly friendly and helpful. I plan to take all my gunsmithing needs here from now on.
Ive dealt with the owner on multiple occasions and have no complaints. He has always been helpful providing information to me and I like the way he runs things. I purchased a hunting rifle from him, new and at the best price in town for that model / cal. Ill be keeping my business there!
Kris resolved a problem with my two shotguns with professionalism and with great helpful service. Im very pleased! By the way, Im female and he never once talked down to me or made me feel dumb for asking questions.
The best gunsmith I have had work on any of my firearms. Always look forward to giving them my business!
Christ is great. Great prices and knowledgeable help with all questions.
Great service and great prices.
I’ve had Kris do work on several occasions, he always did a superb job in the time he said it would take and for the quoted price. He also has the best prices on new firearms in Missoula. Carries ammo in hard to find calibers as well. Highly recommend Accu Arms to anybody looking for a gunsmith or to purchase a gun in the Missoula area.
Bought a Serbian M70 AK47 from this business and havent had a single issue the guys are funny as can be and great at what they do. Small building but you dont need massive place to make a living. great all around feel. will be coming back
I bought my first hunting rifle here. What struck me after visiting Trader Brothers, Bob Wards, and a few others was how Kris didnt talk down to me for not really knowing much. I was really inexperienced and he helped me purchase with confidence. His prices are usually pretty competitive on new guns, and his used gun deals are usually good. Ammo is cheaper elsewhere, but really thats not his primary business.Shortly after I got my rifle I had a problem with it (magazine stuck in it with a live round in the chamber - my fault, not the gun) - I took it back and he fixed it free of charge and then showed me what I did wrong.I bought a .22 for my daughter from him recently and same great service. I always recommend at least going to see him before buying from anywhere else. Also, hes been there every time Ive been in. Last I checked - he doesnt take credit or debit cards, FYI.
Never had a problem with him or his work. If you are thinking you can drop your gun off and have it repaired and back to you a week later however, this isnt your guy
Kris Bonner is the best gunsmith in Montana. He is a great craftsman and really knows his trade. If you want to buy a gun or have one repaired this is the best place in Montana.
Its sort of a hole in the wall place, but I liked it. I was able to find the ammo I was looking for, and it was dirt cheap. Service was friendly enough too
The problem is, I had a very simple repair, and the gunsmith said it would be ready in two days. However, when two days came around, it still wasnt ready. He told me to give him two more hours. OK, I came back in more than two hours, and it wasnt ready. I had to give him yet more time. I kind of felt I was getting the runaround. I think this was way out of line for a 15 minute repair.
If you value old school respect and service, this is the place to go. Nothing flashy about accuarms but flash is usually a cover up for lack of something else, usually service or something else important.
Great gunsmith. Very knowledgeable and fair prices
I have nothing but GOLD STARS for Kris and his shop. very helpful with service or knowledge, and like others stated, does not talk aloof to any question. very reasonable on his charges for work performed,, so much that you can buy the ammo he has and be money ahead. i dont expect him to sell ammo at Walmart prices, and i dont expect Walmart to service the guns they sell. Montana is lucky to have Kris and Accu-Arms doing business here.
I had a rifle with a trigger mechanism problem. Took the gentleman about three seconds to diagnose it, and he offered a quick fix
I bought a 22 lever action from accu arms, great price and service.
Chris is very knowledge and very willing to take time to talk with you about your needs.
Most reviews on here are from friends of the owner. too my rifle in and was very unsatisfied with the results
Not worth the time or money, dude doesnt know how to fix a rifle or mount a scope to any professional standard
Had them build a stock for my rifle, got it back and it was thin and brittle and eventually broke a piece off next to the safety. Havent gone back since, probably never will... Plus he was never there to fix the problem after.
If you want a crappy job done and for that job to take forever for him to even get your weapon back then bring it to him but if you actually want what supposed be done and taken care of for damn sure don’t bring it to him.
Its okay if you want to buy some ammo or check out whats in stock but its kind of mediocre not a big selection and the gunsmith is never in
Great gunsmith.
Fantastic service
