Nice bar. Wish they had more options for tasting their liquors. I do like that you can order from Notorious Pig and have it delivered to the Distillery, where you can eat lunch there while enjoying a drink.

Wonderful watering hole. A lovely mix of vodka spirits that are made with fresh, whole ingredients, oh, and one gin. We did a 1/4 ounce sample of 8 of the 11 options the had a Huckleberry Mule and a Four O Six mojito. Service friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Lastly, there’s a dog. That alone gets 5 stars.

Slightly on the spendy side, very open atmosphere, good service, staff is very nice and efficient. Hands down they have a great lineup of booze. And the mixed drinks they offer are very good - Iron Tusk is fantastic.

This distillery has a huge part of my heart. The spirits are 100% Montana made from the herbs to the wheat grown and harvested in the state. The drinks are unique and also made with in house ingredients and the atmosphere feels like a cozy home surrounded by family.Always welcomed with a smile and certainly leaving with one too.

We went here during the reopening phases of the pandemic. I gotta say service was pretty quick and the drinks were amazing. It’s a nice chill place to have conversations. There was music but not too blaring that you can’t here the people next to you without yelling. Overall, I love the place.

Beyond fair pricing given this is the best drink I’ve had in awhile. Order the Nightburner. In a world of trendy and temporary bars, this spot has a genuine and timeless vibe.

My wife and I decided to check out the Montgomery Distiller because I had always wanted to check it out. We decided to go because the website said they offer food thru montana p.i.g. Our server greeted us right away. We browsed the drink menu and ordered our first drinks with ease. When our drinks arrived we inquired about ordering from notorious p.i.g. as the drink menu said. Our server brought us on of the notorious p.i.g. menus this is unfortunately where our service ended. We waited patiently for our server to check back with us about ordering food from notorious p.i.g.. After about 15 minutes we waved our server down to figure out how to order food. We were told that they didnt take the orders and that we would have to call or walk down to notorious p.i.g.. I full understand if notorious p.i.g. is no long running food to the distillery during busy times due to various reasons that plague the restaurant industry right now. What I cant accept is that neither our server notified us ahead of time nor Montgomery Distillerys management putting a message on their cocktail menu advertising that notorious p.i.g. would deliver food tableside for us. Our server was also to busy with their phone and another patron at the bar to pay good attention to the rest or the tables in their care. Update. Thank you to the owner for replying so quickly. We were in the distillery yesterday around 5:45pm. Your server will probably remember us as I had to walk up to her an pay in cash so we could leave. I also told her she should pay more attention to all her patrons as I handed her the cash and left. I will probably give the Distillerys bar another chance in the future. I enjoy the Montgomery Distillerys spirits at home and at other establishments.

Who is that invisible one who sees through my eyes?We were lucky enough to sample their sold-out single malt the night before at FINN over at the Doubletree. A first rate whisky.On the other hand, they did have their Sudden Wisdom rye whiskey - my second favorite Montana rye, Delicately assertive with an all rye mash bill from the family run farm.Cheers, yall!

Amazing cocktails - the Smoke Tones was incredible - spicy, a little salty, and still very smoky and smooth. We tried two drinks each and were pretty impressed!

Medium sized establishment that uses its limited space to set a hell of a mood. House cocktails are expertly made, uniquely formulated, and a hell of a value.Bottles are sold at the distillery at a substantial discount to what you might pay at a distributor so be sure to grab one on the way out. Sudden Wisdom is worth every single penny and then some.

Fun times! I recommend doing their flight and tasting all the options. Big fan of the coffee liqueur and the vodka! Service was great!

Wonderful, relaxed, quiet atmosphere inside. All the drinks at this distillery are amazing and unique. Wonderful staff and they go the extra mile for taking care of their customers including mailing me an item that I left after my time there. 10/10 recommend stopping here for a few drinks if you are in town.

I like a lot of the decor here but man oh man ...if you get stuck at the tables that have the little, swivel under, attached bar stools, youre gonna hate them. They are soooo not comfortable. My drink was great, but I almost just wanted to gulp it, to get it over with so I didnt have to sit there anymore. Uggggghhh If this is a sip and enjoy type place they need better seating. So my taste buds were happy, drinks are great and I love the smoked salt but my BUTT was sad so we left after just one drink. lol😜 Youll be ok just avoid the chairs I mentioned

Great drinks and friendly service. Lives up to the Best Distillery in Missoula.

Excellent spirits, cocktails and ambiance, but the number of smirking hipster moustaches make this place an unbearable caricature of Capitol Hill circa 2006. Feels like Wilco opened a clubhouse and nobody is cool enough to join. In a town with so many excellent watering holes, you dont have to sacrifice authenticity to get a good pour. That said, buy every spirit this place sells and your bar will be the envy of the neighborhood.

Called ahead, specifically for a bottle of Mama Tried High Rye Bourbon. The person on the phone said thered be plenty. Drove all the way over from Livingston, for a shoulder shrug! We were immediately told no dogs allowed, nobody offered to bring our drinks outside to us, nor did anybody offer water for the dogs (Huskies). Terrible attitudes & service from todays staff. Wont be back anytime soon, thats for sure.

I like this place. Its just really inconsistent. A great drink one night and a totally different drink the next. Happy employees one night and then people eager to leave the next. I hope they figure it out because its a great space in downtown Missoula.

We always always always make time for two drinks at Montgomery’s when we visit. They have a two drink limit, are family friendly, let you order food for delivery from Notorious PIG, often post their recipes on postcards near the bar, have great gifts for purchase and have a deal with the Roxy: two movie tickets, two cocktails, $20. Did I me took the price point?? Oh, I did? Well, it’s worth mentioning again.

Its dimly lit so if you like that look then go for it! Most drinks are between 6-9 and theres no food but they look AMAZING and they taste even better! Theres something for everyone. The staff was really nice and its right downtown so you can walk almost anywhere you need to after.

This is a very upscale establishment. They do a charity based happy hour on Mondays. The place is pretty snazzy and well decorated. The staff was friendly and inviting. Definitely a bit more pricey than other nearby bars, but this is not unexpected since it is a craft distillery.

We hit three distilleries today FUN! however, of those Montgomery was the least friendly. First time there.. Once we had two drinks And went to the bar to pay.... we were treated rudely... what do you want? not can i help you... kind of am arrogant guy. ... logger looking guy .. These are the best drinks I have ever had! Its a busy place so be up for standing while you drink, but with the two drink max you will get a table fairly quickly. Its a cool vibe with comfy places to sit and awesome stuff to check out on the walls, the staff are just as cool as the place itself.

Classy place to have a cocktail. These guys have really impressed me over the years as they have developed their distilling. Big fan of the caesars. Also, the tours of their facilities are a great date activity.

Nice atmosphere and friendly, informative bartenders made this a fun experience. We didnt come at the right time for a tour, but got to sample several of their distilled liquors. The cocktails available on the menu were both standards and more inventive options. The ones we tried were delicious. Ask about the distillery walking tour. Visit all 3 in town, get your passport stamped and send it in for a stainless shot glass.

I love how these folks have put such care into their creations. Their American Single Malt is an accomplishment to be proud of, and Ill be sure to keep some on hand for years to come. The Nightburner is the best whiskey cocktail Ive ever had. Go check this place out.

Great gin and vodka bottles,havent tried others. Cocktails have been really balanced and tasty some visits and watery other times. Recommend trying them out.

The drinks can be very good here, but it seems to be a bit of hit or miss depending on wait staff and who they have making the cocktails. Regardless of the above their Whyte Laydie gin is a favorite.

Nice spot to grab a cocktail in downtown Missoula. The drinks were good but nothing spectacular. It appears to be bar ordering only, which is fine but a bit of a hassle if youve gotten comfortable and want a second drink. The old fashioned was good but made with crushed/cube ice. I enjoyed both of my drinks however and would go back to see how they are doing a few months from now. Its a nice switch from the brewery scene in Missoula

The mixologist sure know their stuff! Not only how to mix great cocktails but the story behind the drink. Their delicious Kirschwasser contains the residue from 300 Flathead cherries! The distillery itself is cosy and comfortable. It even has a Bonneville Speed Record motorcycle on display (theres a fascinating story behind the bike!). Go and enjoy Montgomery Distillery, you wont regret it!

I had a wonderful time at Montgomery. I went to hang out there for my birthday with co-workers and friends. The ambiance was great, the drinks delicious, and the staff was friendly and accommodating. Awesome place!

Every time I go, I have a great time. The atmosphere is great, and the staff are very friendly. I usually sit at the bar and end up having a good conversation with the bartender. Ive never had a drink here that was less than delicious (unless you count the teeny sample of plain aquavit, haha).Get the Honeybee Highball!

I visited Missoula with some family and stopped here. We had a great time. I had the Purely Platonic (gin & tonic). The barrel-aged gin is almost whisky-like (in a great way). I tasted a few other drinks around the table including the (secret) Black Diamond and a Rocky Mountain Flip. Its all great.

The only problem with this place is it isnt open late. We stopped in for drinks early in the evening. We were not disapointed by their signature drinks. We will be back, but earlier.

Last time I fatfingered a 2. Should have been a 5. Great drinks made with their own gin. Another favorite of my wife and myself is a shot of rye on the rocks. A nice place for a leisure drink or two.

Whiskey Sour is pretty to look at and easy going down with just the right amount of tartness. Western Justice was smooth and delicious. Service was fast in early afternoon.

I work at a distillery in New York and the liquor here is top notch! The bartenders are very hospitable and know their products. I had a Sazarac and the Nightburner (one of their signature drinks) Both my drinks were Rye based and I love rye. Theirs is exceptional! Definately worth trying in Missoula!

Great place for a good drink if you wanted a calmer atmosphere before you go out on the weekend or after a tasty dinner downtown. Notorious PIG delivers there too now so keep that in mind!
