I want to give kudos to Fred and the team at Sugar Cycles! Was in a pretty gnarly crash, ripped my fork off and damaged my rims. Fred worked pretty hard to locate a fork to fit my 2012 Specialized Roubaix! Came out great!

Super friendly and so fast at repairing my sons bike. Wasnt too expensive and that was with a replacement tire. Definitely will be using them for my biking needs!! 🚲😁

Today was my first visit to sugar cycles. Brought my dads bike which has been sitting in the garage for over 15 years. They were able to be upfront with me about the price for the repair and that the frame of my road bike could a little bigger for my comfort. They were still able to replace my tires because of the wear and tear for a reasonable price. Wonderful people! if youre in the area, give them a chance!

I had a great experience at Sugar Cycles. I went in to get an older bike repaired and while dropping it off decided to also purchase a new bike (used). Throughout the whole process everyone was so friendly and knowledgeable and patiently answered all of my questions. They helped me find a bike that was within my budget and suitable for my cycling needs, and were kind enough to throw in a complimentary hat, water bottle, and sticker. I was having some trouble with the gears after purchasing and they very kindly checked it out for free. As far as the repairs on my old bike, equally exceptional service. When I brought it in they walked through everything it needed and called me any time another issue came up. Whenever I called the shop with questions they knew me by name and were very friendly. They’re also super safe in regard to Covid so that’s another plus. A great bike shop that I would highly recommend to any of my friends or family.

Very professional. Knowledgeable - these gentlemen KNOW bicycles. They will do their best to assist you as efficiently as possible. Does not matter to them if you drive a 100 dollar bike from a big box or a 5 $$$ digit state of the art bike. Same level of exceptional service, at a fair price. I needed my wheelchair fixed, and these guys were happy to do it despite being swamped. Other places just turned us away. Not only were they incredibly helpful, they removed the training wheels off of a little girls bike for free because she was working on reading while in the store. Wonderful staff and service! We were in and out in 15 minutes! New intertube, chain and the staff also did an overall check of my husbands cycle....LESS THAN $50! I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND SUGAR CYCLES TO EVERYONE!

Great place. I had my bike repaired here and they did a great job. One of my wheel was bent and the gears did not shift properly. They quickly fixed my issues. Dropped my bike off 1030 it was ready before they closed.

Came in just needing a link taken off a loose chain for my reel mower. Got home and it was just a little too short. Went back for a new chain and the crew asked to bring the mower in to make sure the new chain would fit properly. They mentioned that it still might pop off and a tensioner was needed... sooooo, they built and installed a custom one for me. Rock on! Great value too.

Great local shop, Fred and the team are excellent and Fred dealt with my part issue with my specialised bike, even showed me how to configure and went the extra mile with the front disc that was originally bent. This is going to be my local go to cycle shop - you won’t get this level of service with bike barn!

Great customer service. They took time to assist us and adjust the bike to fit me. They went over safety of the helmet & general practices. They had me test the bike in the parking lot to ensure all was good before we left. Im new to the bike world, but the guys at this place totally made me feel comfortable. The owner is very customer service oriented. Staff is a little less outgoing, but still nice/helpful and, as far as I can tell, expert in their profession of being bike experts (which I am not).

Very poor customer service . I am a first time customer . I. Was outside along with another gentlemen and his wife. No one was in the store and instead of talking with us and letting us go in one party at time. They said we have to leave call and set an appointment. Sorry too many other great shops in Houston that will service you and allow you to visit their store.

Absolute favorite bike shop! I ordered a mountain bike for myself that required quite a few customizations. Fred and the whole crew were awesome and got the new bike completely dialed. When I went to pick up the bike I spotted another mountain bike on the floor that was the same bike my fiancé has been dreaming of but couldn’t find anywhere. The bike was a unicorn, so I took a picture and sent it. We made another trip out to Sugar cycles to pick up my fiancé’s new bike. Now we are both shredding singletrack on only what I could describe as our dream bikes. Sugar cycles is sweetest shop around.

Unbeknownst to me, you have to have an appointment to buy anything here. I called from outside the door and a salesman came to the door and asked me what I wanted. The store had signs up about the importance of social distancing. While I waited for the salesman to look for the item I wanted, three guys walked out of the stores without any type of mask on. Also, the salesman did not have a mask on. So much for the importance of social distancing. I will not be back.

These guys deserve your business! They are very modest but also extremely enthusiastic and knowledgeable about cycling.I came in 5 minutes before closing the first time I visited and they didn’t turn me away or make me feel rushed. On the contrary, Henry seemed genuinely interested in what I was looking for and wanted to make sure he knew what I wanted. I asked for a pretty specific bike with a specific purpose and he didn’t try to up sell me or show me things outside of my budget. They showed me their options in my price range best suitable for me. Very straight forward but also kind and humble.

This is an excellent bike shop to get a new bike, service an existing one, or just go get some advice. Theyre active in the local scene, hosting group rides. Youll see the mechanics on the trails riding and building features. Theyll work with you to fix problems with your bike and know when to upgrade vs when to fix.

Excellence! I took my bike to Sugar Cycles in May. The month prior, a major sporting goods store had my bike for several days for a tune-up and stuck shifter (which they ultimately could not fix). Within the first FIVE minutes at Sugar Cycles, the shifter was fixed! These bike aficionados had my bike like new in 30 minutes, no kidding! Great guys, great service, great inventory, great prices - I am a Sugar Cycles customer for life!

I bought my daughter a Specialized 2012 Ruby Elite Apex. Jason was the employee who waited on us. He was professional, friendly, knowledgable, and engaging. He showed us a similar bike, explained all the details and differences, and helped us arrive at a decision that was best for us. The bike was ordered and a week later we went back in to get my daughter fitted on the bike. This is really where Jason shined. He did not get in a hurry and was deliberate and very detail oriented, wanting to make sure that the fit was perfect. My daughter LOVES her new bike and I regret helping her get it now...shes too fast! Great shop, great experience.

Their customer service is bad, i been at that store 4 time. The last time in went was to pick up my new bike, the bike was already on the corner just waitng for someone to tell me to take it, the owner just told me I will be there with you soon, never came back, like 30 minutes later the owner told another employee to adjust the seat height for me, after sizing it he just went back behind the counter while i was just standing there waiting for them to tell me something, 5 minutes later I decided to ask them if I was good to go or what, it was after that when they told me that I was ready and could take the bike home. If the owner is not even interested in talking to their customers i wouldnt expect the rest of the employees to be better. Only one of the employees was always smiling and asking customers if they need help (I think is the brother of the owner)

We used to buy our bikes and get the maintenance done at Bike Route in Sugar Land, which is now out of business. So I tried Sugar Cycles with both of our bikes (which were in serious need for repair), and we were really pleased with the results. Professional, thorough, and friendly.

Sugar Cycles changed my perception of cycle shops for a newbie. They were friendly, no hard sell, knowledgeable and customer service was great!I didnt mind asking the silly questions or fumbling about with my clips! Michael and Michael were great getting me the gear and showing me how to manage gear changes! Yes I needed help with that! Already took the SL4 out and loving it.I am looking forward to getting past basics and going in a ride with the people from Sugar Cycles.

I stopped in here about 3 weeks ago, and left due to lack of service. When I arrived, the mechanic was the only employee in the store, and he was on the phone. After completing his call, he stated he would be with me shortly. He then began eating, and made a personal call on his mobile phone. Approximately 10 minutes went by before another employee entered. He also ignored me, and went back to chat with the mechanic. At this point I turned to walk out. The mechanic starts chuckling and states to the other employee, Oh, you should probably help that guy, see what he needs. I just continued out the door. I will use Society from this point on.

The staff at Sugar Cycles are very knowledgeable and friendly. I have had my bike serviced multiple times, have done a bike fitting, and come in to purchase products. Every time a great experience! Will keep going back!

I took my bike in for a quick tune up and to have my brakes looked at. My rear disc brakes began to lock up as my bike wasnt being ridden much this past year, so i figured a bleed was all that was necessary. One of the owners (i forget his name) knew right off the bat what kind of brake i was using as hes seen this issue in the past. He explained SRAM had been replacing these brakes via warranty, but since my bike was a 13 and it is 2017, he said hes not sure they would still replace them, but he would call to make an attempt. He called in and successfully got them to send a brand new brake! I went to pick up my bike after they had arrived to find brand new, front and back, disc brakes. The best part is he didnt charge me for anything other than the tune up! I definitely appreciate these kind of things and will service my bike here from now on.

Fred and Henry are awesome guys that are easy to talk to and have great advice. They do a great job helping me with maintaining my bikes.

Quick question did you have to pay before any work was done ? I took my bike into the shop and I was told to pre pay and I did but I want to know if that’s standard ? I Thought that was a bit odd being that my bike is $1,000 he said it was in case I didn’t pick it up huh!

Ive been going to several local shops for a while now, but as far as fits go, I dont think I could recommend any place over Sugar Cycles. You cant say enough about how much a proper fit can enhance your cycling experience. Without one, you run the risk of being miserable on your new (potentially very expensive) bike. Dont let the lack of fancy equipment fool you- a good fit comes down to the experience and knowledge of the fitter. If you are in the Sugar Land area, do yourself a favor and check these guys out. Even if you are not currently experiencing any discomfort, you might be able to gain a little more power with a few adjustments. Doesnt hurt that the mechanics are awesome as well.

They ordered the wrong part, and also took 3 weeks to return the bike when I went in for a basic tune-up. When they returned the bike, the gears were still not aligned and we had to wait longer because apparently they do not test the bikes. This was during the MS150 as well. They offered to let me borrow a bike. Their customer service saved this from being one star.
