It was Great for me because I take Guitar lessons there. I always have fun learning new things about the Guitar. Steve and Ben are great guys and so much experienced. Thank you have a good day.
Smack is a Family owned guitar store and school. The owners Steve and Dixon are a Good family who take genuine interest in their students, customers and community. We have purchased several guitars and ucalales from them and my daughter is thoroughly enjoying her lessons with Steve. Please like this review and follow me on Google for the next round of HONEST and UNBIASED reviews.
Steve and Dixon do a great job working with kids. Both my daughters took lessons with them. They have hired past students (teaching kids more than guitar, but responsibility). They do Christmas concerts for local retirement homes. I whole heartedly recommend them.
For a small shop they had a nice selection and the prices were fair given they are a smaller shop. The experience was terrible. I sat down with an inexpensive Washburn acoustic to which the employee/owner(?) literally examined me and my clothing because he’s had “a lot of people damage the guitars.” I’ve been playing for 25 years. I repair guitars and amps. I love the instrument. I understand he wants to protect his investment but all it takes is a two minute conversation to find out I’m going to respect the space.I left, money in hand. If I can’t play an instrument before I buy I might as well buy online and get a better deal.See pic for the belt buckle he examined me for
Stopped in for stings. Owners were so attentive and friendly. The owner took down several guitars for me to play. We played several together. They have a nice selection and all the guitars are nice. I choose a Martin. Restrung and set up at no charge. Went in for strings and left with a guitar. Would definitely recommend this place. I hate it when other people complain on line without giving the business the opportunity to respond that’s just a cheap shot.
Came by just to get a belt knob for guitar and the owner was very rude. In the parking lot the owner was about to get into his car when he seen us, He seemed to be in a rush and told me to leave guitar with his wife. After leaving realized that I didnt get a time for pick up called to asked only to get yelled at for asking. I am not sure if he was having a bad day but that is not a way to deal with customers. The selection inside was very limited, I will just keep going to guitar center for my needs.
Been interested in going here for a few months, but the store is always closed when I go, even when I go during the listed hours.
Caring family oriented busines and family owned by missouri city residents. Steve and Dixon are so encouraging and patient. I would recommend anyone wanting to take music or guitar lessons to stop in. They also have have a nice selection of guitars and other music supplies.
Good place for supplies. Variety is okay but limited. Hard to catch them open.
Save yourself the trip and head to a Guitar Center instead.
