Large selection, THOMAS was extremely helpful. Definitely worth stopping in and checking out the various musical instruments, books and paraphernalia.

This place used to be the highlight of my Friday . I find myself needing this place less and less, and it has a lot to do with the staff. I’ll order something online, and due to the pandemic, I use the curbside. I did read the app told me to and notified them that I was out front. Two minutes later I see “the puffy hair guy” bust out the front door give me a dirty look walked past me lighting a cigarette. I waited about 15 minutes and I finally walked in and the other guy behind the counter had no idea, that I was waiting on an order. And No other customers!! Obviously they feel like what they do is grueling. Keep in mind I just got off work, as a welder at shipyard. But I guess I’m supposed to feel for them, And except they’re terrible customer service and borderline abuse. They’re going home clean as they come to work!!! Plz!!

Killer staff. Goos selection and you can basically play anything. I recommend checking them out.

I love coming to look at the bass guitars here. Im thinking about teaching myself how to play someday. 😊If I ever buy one, it will be from Guitar Center here in Mobile, AL. The employees are super friendly and helpful and just make you feel comfortable as soon as you walk through the door.

I love to go see these guys! My husband is a musician and my son has a musical gift himself. Great selection or they will help you get what you want or need. They are easy and nice to deal with.

Its a guitar center so the experience went as expected. Medium volume of customers at the time but the desk staff was still attentive and answered my questions and were patient with some problems I had at the register.

The guitars are not very well made since the manufacturers moved to China, so now you get a Chibson instead of a Gibson, a Chender instead of a Fender and so on. The prices are very high for 2cnd rate goods. The action on most of the guitars is very high, some of them are unplayable. The service is decent, of course all the sales reps. get commissions. Ive purchased several guitars from them and had to work on every one of them.

They are very nice and helpful and well knowledgeable of every instrument in the building. If you have a question they can answer it. The customer seems very important to the employees.

This has been my first stop music store from there beginning. I have played 7 different instruments the last 35 years and I just wish the Guitar Center could have been there the whole time I love this store they raised the standards for other music stores all over they are truly the real musicians one stop shop for any thing up my need

This is an easy sell...Im a musician so i enjoyed my time playing guitars and browsing the many items available. its a smaller guitar center but it was still fun. If youre into music, or just want to get started, give it a try. They are friendly and look forward to getting you started. They orivide lessons!!

-2 for the poor keyboard stocking levels and displays. +1 for the great staff and for price matching on a recent purchase.

Currently their high end acoustic guitars are limited, but I know they are supposed to get more in stock on the future.

I just needed to get some guitar strings because I didn’t feel like waiting forever for Amazon right now. I had an amazing experience at this guitar center! One of the employees was supplying hand sanitizer at the door, which was very professional in my opinion! He was very helpful during the entire experience. The best part was when my mom and I were leaving, it was pouring rain and he literally found us an umbrella that someone had left and let us borrow it! I just thought this store deserved a good review, especially during times like we’re going through right now.

I went in to the store to make a return and cancel a back ordered strap. (Im impatient.) The clerk was very helpful and kind, and even managed to help several people while operating within excellent health guidelines for covid19.I need help with my return and finding the right size case for my new electric bass. He helped find what i needed and showed me other options within my price range. At the end, I left happy with my new case that fits correctly and a better strap for my shoulder. Thanks! Highly recommend.

We purchased an acoustic amplifier last year. It has stopped working. I also purchased the extra warranty with it. Well because it has not been a year it falls under manufacture warranty. We have to contact the manufacturer to return it. You can not make returns at the store. This is an inconvenience to us. We will never buy another product from guitar center again.

I love music. Their assistant manager is also a master percussionist. The man is a beast, go see him!

I have shopped at this guitar center for years and I have never been treated with such disrespect. I was looking at an electric drum set and while I was demoing. representative with a Mohawk approached me. His first words were “Mask on”. Then he asked was I going to buy the set. And if not how long did I plan on demoing because he had customers waiting outside. This was the worst experience of my life it will be hard to spend more money with this Establishment after my experience. The Rep was rude and not adhering to social distancing policies because he walked right up behind also there was no one waiting when I left the building.

Customer service here is top-notch! Boltz took his time explaining my bands sound options. Help me make the right decision. The prices are the same as buying online and you get expert advice from the staff. Since they started charging tax online brick-and-mortar is back in a big way! You cant beat the service, selection and prices here.

The worst experience for Djs!! Social distance was in affect but thats all. I Will just drive 2 hours to New Orleans for in house test and play and recieve quality customer service/guidanc Service rep was only able to show me what was availible. Really the only place in Mobile you can go for guitars and related gear. The staff is pretty cool; they know their stuff and are always eager to help. Plus theyre all really personable persons. Ive never had a bad experience there, and Ive been a returning customer since I was about fifteen or sixteen (so its been about seven or eight years since my first purchase). Theyll even sit and jam with you to help you find the gear that best suits your needs and wants, and if they dont have something in stock, theyll always offer to order it for you. Seriously, really cool folks, they are.

Picking up a band merch birthday gift I saw online, and hoping there were more choices for the band. The associates were not too familiar with what I needed, but were helpful in showing me where things might be, looking for what I wanted and getting me to the next possible area of the store. A little bit of confusion around the register with who was helping who, and there is no wheelchair parking near the entrance, nor is there a ramp near the entrance. They are way far down at the other end. But the purchase was less than actually told, so that was good.

Always enjoy stopping by there. Staff are helpful and knowledgeable. One of my few criticisms is that they dont have any high-end nylon classical acoustic guitars in the store... their range is limited to about 6 guitars topping out at around $500

I have to compliment Dallas on being super easy to work with. I had an item shipped from another location to this location and the cabinet arrived a bit more banged up than was descibed in the purchase. (I had the shipping GC send me thorough pictures of it prior to shipment) It was not a huge deal, the damage was minor on an already used cab, but he made up for it and refunded me the shipping cost. Im not the type to complain or write bad reviews, but I wanted to warn everyone before visiting this store. I ordered a Gibson Les Paul Standard 19 online, and it shipped from the Mobile store because its the closest one to where I live. It came with rusted strings, scratches on the body, and dust. I was very discouraged because I bought an extremely nice guitar that shouldve been playable right when I took it out of the box. No, unfortunately I didnt get that. I went to the store to return it and possible buy something else. Only one staff member was actually helpful with helping me find a replacement. The other staff didnt seem to take me seriously because Im a young female. Overall, it was a very disappointing experience.

I have been to this store 3 times now, and Im shocked at the way they treat me.If the employees arent standing idle at the main desk doing nothing, theyre begrudgingly trying to get through their shifts, and its VERY obvious.I went to return a Dist. Pedal today, got to the front desk. There was a female (I dont know her name, sorry) who seemed TOTALLY uninterested. She didnt look at me, didnt give me the impression I was even welcomed there. Her voice was monotone the whole time, I even caught myself embarrassed because I thought I was doing something wrong. Worst of all, I noticed her happily greet a lady who walked in, which really made me feel unwelcomed.And, the other times, where the same thing. Me standing at the desk, waiting for somebody to show up for at LEAST 20 minutes PER trip, or disinterested and unenthusiastic employees begrudgingly acknowledging me.All in all, dont shop here. I recommend Andys Music. They seem to care enough to at least talk to you and make you feel welcomed.

The hippie looking guy tried to steal from me, claimed that the warranty on the microphones that I bought wasnt any good, wanted to charge me for another warranty, when I told him no he got loud saying he was doing our church a favor. The Minister of Music went in a couple days later and he said that I had gotten a new set, really 🤔🤔. He tried to cheat the manufacturer and the company. I wonder if he still has his job. GOD KNOWS ALL AND SEE ALL

Really relaxed in here. Everyone has exceptional knowledge of guitars, banjos, piano and drums. If you at looking to buy a guitar this is a great place to go. They have a wide selection of new and used. They have brands such as Ibanez, Fender, Gibson and Yamaha. They give a military discount which is fantastic. Friendly and helpful staff! Good music throughout the store. If you want to play guitar, drums or piano in the store you are more than welcome to. It was fun seeing some drummers playing in the drum section.

I have visited this store and made multiple expensive purchases over the years but I have never been treated like I was an idiot until today. Cashier 105525 Zachary C.M. asked if I wanted to purchase the extended service plan and when I said no, in a belittling tone he re-asked, “ you are seriously gonna spend this much on a guitar and not get it?” Once again I declined and his response was with a smirk when he asked, “ haven’t you ever purchased a car?” I sincerely hope that Guitar center in Mobile will not allow salesmen like this one to try to intimidate someone into purchasing something they do not want. I would rate this experience less than one star if allowed.
