I came an hour and 30 mins away to come here just cause of the awesome reviews they had ! 5 starts across the entire board ! They are professional, fast, and honest. Fixed my ac within the hour. No bs straight to the point. Very grateful I found them. I will for sure be bringing any of my cars there for future work .. and will recommend all of my friends and family for honest and fast work ! I was recommended this place by my brother. I rarely trust any place to take my vehicles to due to alot of half asz work and money hungry mechanics, thats y i do it myself But this place fixed my vehicle problem that im not able to fix myself and i dont have certain tools to do so. also a really good price and fast at it when they got to it lol But it did took 2 1/2 days for them to get to it. I rather wait couple days to have it done right and for a really good price. Thanks a lot guys. If any other problem i cant fix on my vehicles im coming back to yall.

For years I have been able to rely on and trust the staff of Gateway Automotive. Today when my car died outside of the library I called the shop and Ryan assured me that if I towed it over they would take care of it so I did. I was immediately greeted by the staff and Ryan went straight to work. The problem was diagnosed and repaired in less than 2 hours. He was direct, accurate and incredibly helpful. Seems like some great people who genuinely want to help here at this place. Spent over $200 to replace my TPMS sensors which isnt a bad price at all. However lights came back on twice and had to go back both times. Both times I left with no light on my dashboard but the light came back quickly. My husband had to look into it himself and fix my light once and for all. I figured they probably just didnt know how to reset my TPMS sensors for my specific car. Overall the service was good, waited a little too long for my second visit but I had nothing planned anyway so I overlooked that.

The crew did a great job taking out a snapped bolt that broke from the previous mechanic who denied breaking it when repairing the water pump that attempted to repair the pump ...guy named Brian who works out of his house on budd Street in Modesto...DO NOT use him.... he also gave me a price and then at the end of the job he didnt complete demanded a higher price... The crew at Gateway Automotive installed the water pump properly, also changed the timing chain, replaced new transmission line seals, and recharged AC for a great price.... Ive learned that its better to pay a reasonable higher price for a mechanic with a real shop rather than somebody who works out of their garage.... I highly recommend Gateway Automotive on 9th Street Modesto..

My boyfriend has this run down 86 f-150.. they patched it all up and got the clutch repaired without me even having to go down there and meet them face to face... which for a mom of 5 is something thats greatly appreciated. They were fair with the pricing as well. Laid back staff but smart at hell. Thanks for making this as quick and painless as possible. Zip ties to hold the slave cylinder is not a good idea according to Alan. 😂 oops. And I thought zip ties fixed EVERYTHING!? lesson learned. Dont make the same mistake we did and try to DIY repairs to save money. Ended us costing us more in the long run. Thanks Gateway for saving us from becoming a 1 car family of 7. 😚
