Very nice gentlemen up front at reception. They work with you according to your budget and help you prioritize which things need to he repaired first . 10/10 experience with these guys! My first visit here was due to an unexpected problem & although the work took a day or two, they were able to quickly diagnose the problem and inform me on what needed to be done; very knowledgeable. Ever since then I’ve been coming in for small/big jobs and I always leave pleased & satisfied. Very professional & kind men!

Took my car in for an oil change and the guys here ended up helping us with others issues we had been having with another establishment that had left our car with some damage. They diagnosed the issues and worked with us to get things fixed. They were so helpful and and I would definitely recommend taking your vehicle to these guys for any work!

Took my mercedes in for Diagnostic on transmission. It ended up being something that only Mercedes dealership or a European mechanic would be able to fix, so just had them do an oil change. They didnt even charge me for Diagnostic fee!!! Even gave me recommendations on where to take to get fixed! Awesome customer service ☺....HONEST, TRUSTWORTHY PEOPLE!!!!!Overall was very pleased, and found our new place for oil changes !!!!

The mechanics here are knowledgeable and ethical. They don’t work the fastest or the cheapest but if you take your car here, it will get done right.

The gentlemen at this shop are kind and understand towards there customers. At first I was hesitant about going without a male present. However, they put me at ease and was straight forward about the existing condition of my vehicle. I really appreciated their service. I would definitely recommend my family and friends to go to this shop.

These guys are RUDE as heck the two guys up front got mad because I came in on Saturday at 11:30 to make a appointment for the following Tuesday and the guys in the back working on the cars have no clue except the older guy catching the others mistakes AVOID THIS SHOP there CRAZY RUDE

Not a mechanics shop. More of a tire and fluid change. Was told I needed an alignment but the machine proved I didnt. They made no adjustments because it was already in spec and still had to pay. I also had a new steering box installed. The car does not need to come off the ground to replace it, they charged me an hour to move it into the stall when it could have been fixed in the parking lot. This job has a book time of less the 2 hours, they billed 3, Plus a a 4th hour to bring it offsite to press (I have one in my garage why doesnt a auto shop) the pitman arm off the old steering box. A brand new pitman arm would have been half the cost of thay hour of labor, but instead the put this 12 year old part in the press and then reused it. They complained that my truck broke their pitman arm puller. Thats BS. They complained that my truck broke 2 of their dolly while they unnecessarily moved it into a stall. Overall they did get it done, at a high price and ripped me off on an alignment charge. I guess thats why you dont break down hours away from home without your tool kit. 5-6 hour + an alignment whan all data pays less then 2. I get it sometimes something tough happens on a repair, but part of your job is knowing the correct way to overcome an issue.

I was disappointed because i CLEARLY communicated to the serviceman that I needed my car back ASAP, yet he didn’t have all the items in store needed to finish the repair!! Why would you say you can get the job done when you don’t even have transmission fluid for it in the building? So my car was held overnight and I missed about $50-75 in revenue because of that.On top of that I was quoted nearly $4,000 for a transmission replacement and upon second opinion learned that actually the differential needs replacing which only costs half as much but takes longer to repair.Very disappointed with my first (and last) experience at this Midas.

My sons naivety was preyed upon, and this store upsold his oil change. He was told that his vehicle would only take a synthetic oil change ( which they charge $70 for!), when he did not need it whatsoever. Then was offered to change his air filter for $30 saying it was completely necessary. Took a look at it, as easy as that is, and it is completely fine. They will take your money with no problem. Another crooked oil shop.

Past employee and would like to say amazing work and great crew. Would recommend this shop highly to anyone looking for major to minor car repairs. The owner Kevin and the manager Carlos do a fantastic job and hands down treat the custom like royalty. #midastouch

First time customer. They did a full diagnosis on my clutch/brake system and found major problems that the guys at my other shop completely missed... a HUGE oil leak when I just got my oil changed. Carlos was very friendly and took very good care of me...even gave me a referral to a tire shop. My only downside is that it took 3.5 hours for my car to get serviced. I’m not sure if that’s a normal wait time for the procedures that they did but it was a long time to wait in the shop.

Thank you to Gary for being so kind. I was referred by a friend to go here - they were honest and fixed both my issues quickly. My second issue he didnt even charge me!! I recommend this shop 100%!

Mike, Kevin and Nicole were very helpful and friendly. The work was done when expected and for a competitive price. They even gave me a ride home. I will use them again.

I went to Midas in McHenry to have a wheel alignment after I picked up my car wheel alignment is not done and still pulling to the right side while running the recite date was wrong and the time picked up the car was 530pm instead 3pm ripped off business

This place is a joke

I know that Midas had a serious public relations problem many years ago but I first went in for just an oil change, basic inspection and tire rotation with a coupon. I was impressed with the people. I have been going back for the last three years for brakes, rotors and fluid servicing with no issues. I will continue using them. The phrase Past performance is no guarantee of future results. applies both ways---what was bad can, under new ownership, become very good.

Called yesterday and spoke to Kevin. He was helpful and told me to come in today so they could do a free inspection on my jeep to see as to why it shakes. Went in today and was pretty much booted out by some old guy sayin that the reason my car shook was due to my tires being unbalanced and to go to where I purchased the tires to have them balanced. They didnt even bother to ask to check or offer the inspection. Really sucked.

The guys over here are awesome. Super helpful, super efficient and super nice. Repaired my car in a few days and helped me get it smogged on and on the road. Super grateful!

Great place to take your car for repairs, quality work and honest service.

Completely unscrupulous. Had a catalytic converter installed that lasted less than two years and then failed a smog check. Wouldnt recommend Midas to my worst enemy.

Went to Midas for a quick Oil change and to have my transmission fluid looked at and my breaks checked out.. was told my break pads needed to be changed out and my rotors were filthy, cause my pads were cracked and split, the guy told me at the counter that they were going to charge me over $700 just to change out my break pads and clean my rotors added onto the $30 oil change! WHAT!?? I kindly said NO, and ended up having to pay $78 just for them to check my breaks and do my oil change. Was not happy with the service, tried to stiff me for $700 and when I said no, they stiffed me for $78. Wont be going back. I ended up going down the street and only paying $187 to not only have my break pads changed out but my back breaks completely replaced plus the cleaning of my rotors at McCoy Tires. Now thats real service, not trying to take advantage of someone. Geese!

Very quick with work and very friendly

Showed up at 7:30 am when they open on Thursday. Waited 10 minutes for them to open and still not opened. I think that it’s a bad when a company does not open when they are supposed to open. For a first time customer, very bad first impression.
