This pet store has everything. And good on prices. The only thing that I didnt like was how loud the workers are and immature. One worker in her 30s was helpful but the young men there are always playing around.

We just found this pet store last week. Their customer service is amazing! We were acknowledged as soon as we walked in and they offered to help find what we wanted. This store has everything we need for our pets and they will order items if they dont have them in stock. This store is a perfect example of what all stores should be doing. We will shop here exclusively.

I wish i could give this place negative 1000 stars. the manager ryan has anger issues and road rage. point blank period. i was driving to go into HIS pet store to spend MY hard earned money to get my dogs some snacks. i was driving to park and he looked at me in his truck and started instantly screaming at me for NO reason at all. i ALWAYS shop at this store and after this “manager” disrespected me, i will NEVER be returning as a valuable customer! i have seen others say this man is disrespectful towards them and just can’t believe this is who runs this nice beautiful pet store! what a waste of a “manager” especially with his nasty attitude.

Great selection and super friendly staff! Owner heard my desire for a product they ran out of and was willing to order me one from their other location. Really user friendly! Expect to be coming here often.

Wow what a great pet shop, found the exact fish I was looking for, the aquarium section is awesome, the staff member that runs the aquarium section was a total delight, he was helpful beyond what I expected and even offered to look for unique fish not found anywhere else. I will definitely without a doubt make this my Go To location going forward. Even the bird section was superb... Would highly recommend... A+++👍🏽

So I came in a week ago and bought a basking bulb for my bearded dragon and it has a guaranteed 2000 hours of life. Well it burnt out this morning and that bulb stays off during nights. So 6 days of 12 hour days is 72 hours of life. All sales were final and I thought great, it has 2000 hours of life I wont need to bring it back. Well I called and told them what happened that my light from them burnt out in 72 hours. Not the 2000, and they were very rude and did not want to do anything to help me despite the 2000 hour guarantee. So I wont come here ever again and Im actually disputing this purchase with my bank because that junk product is not what I payed for. Carters pet store is awful and so are the employees. Save your money and go to petco.

First time coming to this store. Staff was super friendly! They got kind of busy as we were checking out but the girls working, were all on top of making sure every customer was being helped! Really great service! They also have pretty good prices compared to Petsmart or Petco. I would definitely recommend this place!

Wonderful store. Great service. Excellent bird selection. Lots of great supplies I noticed for most animals. I plan to go back when time allows. The staff was super attentive and knowledgeable.

Bring my dog in for nail trim, $15 quick but sometimes there isnt enough staff available to do the trimming, last time had to come back the next day because the girl had to put the order away in the back room first and didnt have time. That was not good customer service. But I did return the following day and they were very nice and did the job right away was in and out.

The employees at Carters are so helpful and are really knowledgeable to their pets and their needs. I am a very loyal customer I have about 14 pets that I get everything from food to supplies for their enclosures or habitats. I usually am in there every week. The owner on the other hand is very RUDE and Unprofessional, he just lost a loyal customer.

I bought 57 dollars worth of gold fish and one cost 17 dollars. Came home and fish died within 2 hours. Theres no guarantee or replacement at all. Also want to mentioned I spent alot of money at this store weekly. I guess I wont be coming back anymore. You lost a customer all for not giving some store credit. 😒Updated: the store owner called me and was very nice. Said he will give us store credit towards a new fish. I will be a repeated customer but will make sure to look closely before we purchase the goldfish as we understand now that theres no guarantee.

The prices are not bad ive seen some items are half priced compared to petsmart. They also have a good selection of feeder worms and crickets. The crew has always been kind to me when I visit and super helpful.

I love this place! All the animals are well taken care of and they have a great variety of products. A little pricey, but worth it.

Found this little shop as I was driving through the parking lot. Wife and I decided to check it out. Live that it has a more small town store feel. It doesnt have the big box pet store anonymity to it. We were helped right away by a friendly young lady who was tending to the small animal enclosures. She answered our questions about adding a second guinea pig to our family and we ended up taking a new little guy home with us. We will definitely be giving them another visit as lockdown restrictions allow.

Great staff, nice to have a smaller more personal pet store back in town. I dont feel like Im in a store as much as just knowledgeable people taking the time to answer questions and encourage proper pet care and recommendations

First off the staff are great and the store is very nice and clean! Unfortunately all the livestock I bought this week died after 3 days. After the first day I came back with a few of the dead shrimp and Tyler took care of me even tho he can’t Guarantee invertebrates/he replaced half of what I brought in and that was more than he needed to do and I appreciate that.He tested my water and gave me the thumbs up. Water was perfect. I bought 3 CPDs that day and now here we are 2 days later and everything has passed.I acclimated slowly and accordingly and no matter what they still passed. This is very frustrating for someone who has 5+ Tanks and is super passionate about keeping aquatic life.On a side note the Pea Puffer I got from them 3 weeks ago is THRIVING! She’s so happy.I’m hoping that this last week was just a fluke or their distributor cut corners and unfortunately I caught the short end of things 🤷🏻‍♂️

Really really nice staff only issue was one staff member told us we wouldnt need a filter for certain fish and which fish we could get without needing a filter and just needing a tape so we went through we looked at those my daughter picked several shes little my sons at home I sent them videos they pick theirs and then she started telling you that yes we need filter then different products for the water and things like that when we were told something completely different before even starting to pick it was kind of felt like pick up want them and then hey you do need this this this this and this so its going to cost you all this extra touch me I did not like that I want someone whos going to be completely upfront that way I dont have to kids crying at home when I dont come home with their little pets other than that its a great spot to go and theyre super nice there that was my only bad experience

Today my daughter got her first rat from the Modesto location of this company. She saved and researched for months. I was shocked at the amazing service and knowledge the employees had, as well as the involvement the owner had. It was an incredible experience. The employees all actually have rats and guinea pigs and various pets of their own and knew so much of how to take care of them the right way. Ive never had such a personal experience at a pet store. My new favorite place for anything animal! The wonderful lady whos first day it was even carried EVERYTHING to my car in one trip and wouldnt let me help her. It was an awesome experience.

They were all some love there they were about to close with two minutes to spare they welcome us in and help yes fine the right kids of turtle 🐢 and fish 🐠 right away and some thing are price but its worth it

I appreciate that the store is always fully stocked with the supplies that I need. HOWEVER, IT ALWAYS TAKES THEM FOREVER TO ASSIST ME. Theyve even overlooked me a time or two, stopped helping to help someone else and even told me on one occasion that Id have to wait because they were unpacking boxes. And the thing is my I spend A LOT of money there and yet Im treated with disrespect, it really hurts my feelings and I could only feel that perhaps theyre somewhat prejudice there. This review that Im writing, I shouldve done it the first time, but instead I came back two more times to see if the customer service would get better with the male manager. The first time I came I bought a fish and he was very short and indifferent. About a week later the fish I bought died. I didnt know the rules so he made it very clear rudely that I had to bring in my water and my fish within a certain number of days to get a replacement. We got the replacement and I didnt go back. I continued to buy my fish from pet smart but my daughter asked me if we can go to pet mart to look at their fish. We bought a angelfish and some snails and the lady that helped us was extremely nice and she was a manager from a different store. So three days later the angelfish died so I immediately go down to the store with a sample of my water. Brittany helped us and began testing our water. When it was finished the male manager walks up to assist her and I could hear her sounding frustrated. So I walked towards them and he tells me quickly, bluntly, and rudely that all my levels were fine except your nitrate levels are too high so he walks me over to some bottles and says to put this in my water and he showed me by hitting it with his knuckle or prime doesnt matter which one they will do the same thing and he walked off. So I asked Brittany would I be refunded for that fish, she went to ask the manager then came back and told me he said no. Even though all my levels were perfect except for a little nitrate, he wouldnt offer me even half off to get another fish. So now theyve lost me as a customer and I will never go back! Before I walked out the store I had my children put back every thing that they were gonna buy and that was stuff for our dog, my daughters new fish tank, and stuff for our existing fish tank. Every time I have been there, the workers there are always nice and helpful except for the male manager. Brittany did her best and as a customer service manager of over 25 years I can see that your store will loose valuable employees like Brittany and the others if you dont sit down and coach that manager on retention of employees and customers. This store has an awesome variety, especially the reptile section. Its hard to find reptile supplies and this place had more than the actual specialized reptile store in town.

I was so impressed with Carters set ups for the animals. I actually work at a pet store and I was amazed at how clean and spacious Carters habitats were. The only draw back was that none of the small animals had excersise wheels. Even Petco has those! The staff was so nice and even let me hold one of the animals. I let them know we were only visiting town for a day so they were polite and didnt try to push a sale on me. Definitely going to visit the one closer to where I live now, in Stockton. Hoping for the same great experience.

This store has a large selecton of pet supplys. If you need it, they have it. Not very many actual pets for sale however. The people that work there are very polite and helpfully.

The sales ppl were really nice and I really appreciate the manger Tyler I believe his name was he stayed and gave me a symbol of the cbd for my dog I feel like its working so far he waited and got it for me out of his own supply he had for his dog to give me some it was really nice of him to do that thanks will be going back

This shop has everything for any pet owner. We were delighted with the selection. The birds were an extra treat..they were beautiful 😍 This will definitely be our go to place for all our pet needs!

I know they just opened but Ive been there a handful of times. They have a good selection. Prices are on par and sometimes even lower than other places. I bought a nice solid cat tree and a good fish tank and its the same price as amazon and the dog food is $2 cheaper than where I was going for food.

People were super nice and their selections are great for how small the store is.
