I cannot recommend Schillings highly enough! I worked with Andrea on purchasing some vinyl flooring and required some changes to the order as it was in progress. Andrea went above and beyond to stay in touch about the order and the customer service was the best Ive had in years. Even the delivery guys could not have been more charming or helpful. I didnt at all expect to get flooring at such a good price and have the company be this great at customer service. I would recommend it to anyone and I would go out of my way to use them in the future.

Shillings mokena might as well closed down and open up a kiosk in the Shell gas station. Theyre slogan (IN STOCK) is false advertisement... It should say available in cedar lake Indiana. Because thats what they tell me every single time I try to go buy something from wood, flooring, mirrors, cabinets, tile, decking, door knobs, plumbing fixtures, at this point Im not really even sure if they sell anything out of the store. Because Ive purchased over $20,000 and I havent picked up one thing at the store. Very disappointed that I choose this store for all my remodeling needs. For my next remodel I will definitely not be using it. The time and energy Ive wasted to go to St John or cedar I could have saved thousands of dollars going somewhere else.

I went into Schillings in Mokena looking for flooring. When I got there I was helped by Justin West. He was very knowledgeable on the topic and helped my wife and I find the perfect flooring for us. Justin didn’t stop there though. He helped us find an installer, and got us a great price. I would highly recommend and I will be going back to Justin for all my home improvement projects!

Shopped around for new flooring, counters and all the accessories. Had to sign off on the estimate and 1 week later, got a call saying the estimate for the vinal flooring was misquoted. Im now going to be charged double the price for the flooring.I called local competitors and found their prices to be a lot cheaper. I then called to cancel the flooring, counter tops and back splash and was told they would be willing to match their competitors price. Why would I want to buy from them at this point? Its so frustrating.

On June 11th 2019, I emailed a store manager, Kyle Patterson. I informed him about an issue with my sales person, Joe Knipple. Joe increased my lumber price by $3000 the day before my delivery. Due to the fact that I have to deliver this home to my client by December and my carpenters were ready to start framing the net day, I went ahead with the purchase and delivery.I emailed both quotes to Kyle. After reviewing both lumber quotes, Kyle acknowledged that something didnt look right. Kyle lead me to believe he would resolve the issue.I Never heard back from Kyle. That issue was Not resolved. As a matter of fact, the issues worsened. Not only did my price go up by $3000, the take off that Joe Knipple did for my job was way off. He had a ridiculous amount of excessive lumber shipped out for the roof. His unscrupulous, business practice mustve earned him a really good commission at my expense.I had to email and call the store multiple times to have Schillings pick up the excessive lumber. Joe Knipple has been fast to return my call when hes about to make a sale but slow to return a call or email otherwise.I have received really bad customer service and dishonest business practice from Schillings Mokena location. Ive made multiple request to receive my invoices at the time of my purchase. I have also received invoices for material with no price listed. Then Ill receive an invoice with ridiculously priced lumber.So far, I have received nothing but excuses from Kyle about the excessive lumber stemming from Joes corrupt take off. I am waiting to receive the full amount for the returned lumber. It would be nice if the CEO, Dean Schillings cared about customer service and addressed these issues! I reached out to Dean but I havent heard back from him........Oh thats right...Schillings already made their money from me.Women of color be ware of doing business with Schillings.I have been treated Very different from other Builders/Contractors that do business here.

Weve had great experiences with Schillings for projects in 2 homes. The staff is knowledgeable and provide helpful suggestions and recommendations. In particular, Hanna and Shelley have helped us in the past with top-notch service. The quality and prices are great, here too.

Initially had some trouble finding the products I was looking for on the website, but then spoke with Andrea J. through the chat portal and she helped me find everything in short order and verify it was in stock.VERY helpful and easy experience!

Bought $1400 worth of 2x6 in both 12ft and 16ft. The 12ft boards were 5 5/8 to 5 11/16. The 16th ft were 5 7/16 to 5 1/2. Totally screwed up my deck project. Would have been better off at Menards. Will never use them again. Manager said that is just the way it is. Total BS.

Horrible experience. A guy said he’d be able to tell us exactly what to buy for our project and was completely off base. $2500 worth of material wasted. Another salesmen after the Alfa that’s admitted he wouldn’t have sold us what the original salesman did. That’s always great to hear. Not sure we’ll be going back which is unfortunate because I have several projects at the house worth thousands of dollars that I would have given to schillings

After a 4 week planned delay for custom cabinets they arrived with some errors that impacted the timing of the project. One of the owners stepped in to ensure that the issues were addressed and showed a real commitment to see that the job met our desired outcome.

Yard man Art was loading me and showed me a product that new and not yet displayed up front. Helped me make the swap and saved me a couple hours of work. Most wouldnt ask, just load and send you on your way. Bravo Art!

Went here hoping to get better quality wood than at places like Lowe’s/Home Depot... wow was I wrong it was just as warped if not worse. The lady that helped me with my order was nice and friendly, but very dissatisfied with the wood quality. I get the feeling if you’re not a contractor looking to purchase a large amount then they couldn’t care less about your 20 2x4 order.

Had to reorder appliances because they wouldnt fit with the new cabinets and the granite counter that we picked out at Schilling didnt match the slab that they had pulled for us at Prestige Granite in Crown Point (glad we went there and saw it first!) Kitchen looks great. Ordering hand painted back splash so its not quite finished. Will be happy to post pictures in March.

I recently purchased a floor from Schilling and no issues with the person who sold me the floor, delivery all questions were answered. Everyone was helpful. My problem was the product. My floor was being laid the installer opened 3 boxes and says wow there are 3 big pieces only per box. I couldnt believe it. All the planks were small. The installer did the best he could but I ran to the store immediately and was told the floor will look good and they would notify the salesman for this product on my complaint. Yesterday someone was visiting my house and said wow a lot of small pieces you have in your floor I was so disappointed. TO ALL GET A GUARANTEE BEFORE YOU BUY ON HOW MANY S MALL PLANKS PER BOX.

Doing a remodel of a bathroom had no clue what to get for flooring - my salesperson Shelley was so helpful and gracious and told us everything we needed to get to make it a smooth job - we love our porcelain plank sandlewood flooring! We will be back to the Mokena store!

If you are seeking employment do not consider this place. The staff is pretty clueless. They also have a crazy interview process including 3 tests and 2-3 interviews. You wont even be able to get the minimum pay for the title youre looking to get hired for. Complete waste of time.

NEVER try and return something. It took over 1 hr & 30 minutes of getting the run around to return unused hardwood to this store. Their return process is horrible. Its not as simple as going to the return desk and being helped, because no one there can help with returns. They kept sending us with the hardwood from one building to the next - not knowing what they were doing - the back to the main store to the same place we started. Finally we talked to the manager and refused to take the wood to another building. Good luck with returns.

No service. I was in the store for over an hour and only was greeted as I walked in.

I placed a custom order for shower doors and the first disappointing policy was that a deposit of 75% was required at the time of the order. Secondly I had to wait 2 weeks for someone to come out to measure (this is on an ASAP order and after repeated phone calls to Shillings). Thirdly after the measure the other 25% was due BEFORE installation (company policy). So now Schilling has full payment and it is over 3 weeks since the measure without a word from Schillings or Foremost who installs the product for them. At this point I have put in a call today for a status and was told I would receive a phone call with an update. Very disappointing experience.

I had a GREAT experience with ordering 14 boxes of Mohawk laminate flooring from Schillings. For months, I have been looking for a certain type (Barrington Bourbon Hickory) and could not find it at a reasonable price. I did some research and came across Schillings, who had it for $1.99 a square foot (on sale). I felt like I needed to jump the gun, but instead I filled out the Contact Me button I asked a question or two I needed answered before ordering. I filled out the question and submitted it around 5-6PM. I received an early response that very next morning. I was contacted via email by Carl Schroeder, who deals with online ordering. He answered my questions promptly and professionally. This encouraged me to go ahead and order, which I did that same day. Carl informed me not long after ordering that my order had been received and that it would ship out the next day, which proved to be true. He again kept GREAT communication and let me know that my order had shipped and gave me the tracking info. He also informed me that he went ahead and expedited my shipment so that it could show up before July 4th, so that I could get an early jump on it.The pallet of boxes was shipped via FedEx and loaded directly onto the bed of my truck at my house. I did however notice that one the boxes had been damaged slightly (scratch top panel). This had everything to do with the trucking company and not Schillings. I did notate it to the driver, but it wound up not being a moot point as I had leftover pieces. Carl did offer to replace the box at no cost, but I refused, knowing that I would have enough.On another note, I bought this flooring to exactly match what I already have installed in my house (adding, not replacing). The laminate I bought matched part numbers, but there was a slight difference in appearance. The new floors I added have an egg shell like finish, whereas my previous floors were more of a satin like finish (slight shine). Im guessing that Mohawk has made some changes over the last 3-4 years. This again doesnt have anything to do with Schillings. It is not largely noticeable, but thought that Id point it out.In conclusion, I am glad I bought from Schillings. I did see mixed reviews for their brick and mortar locations, but from the online order aspect Id give them an A+. The communication was great (which in my opinion is one of the most important factors), the service was top notice, and the product was right on point. I have two rooms left and will certainly check Schillings first before anywhere else. If youre skeptical about ordering online from these guys, dont be. Great company. THANKS!

Bad experience - I called to confirm they had item(specific type of wood finish) in stock - salesman confirmed they had it. When I got to store(hour drive), they told me they didnt carry that item. Very disrespectful - they figured they could talk me into something they do carry once I got there. They also asked well who did you talk to? No one here would tell you that! Very frustrating - never, ever do business with - very unprofessional!!!
