Subaru Ascent 2021 Touring is the third auto Ive bought from this dealer. The dealership is first class from Sales department to Service department. Staff is knowledgeable and friendly. Very professional and jobs are done right the first time, on time. Waiting area is clean and comfortable. Amenities are there to help the time go. Car is always returned washed and clean inside. If there should be a delay or problem seen, they inform you immediately. You also know the cost before service is done.Started coming here years ago when I was unhappy with service at another dealership. Have never regretted it, and recommend them frequently to others. They are a model dealership others could learn from.
My wife always brought her Subaru in for service and had great things to say about anyone she encountered during her visits. So, when it was time to get a new car I immediately thought to visit the dealership and I was not disappointed. We worked with Kris and we could not have asked for a better person to help us in the process of getting our new cars. It was so refreshing to have someone who genuinely seemed interested in showing us what we wanted to see and answering our questions. The follow up after the sale was exceptional as well. Everyone else we interacted with during our visits were all very kind. Kelly was also really nice and helpful during the Encore service offered. Though they are busy, and slightly difficult to schedule, McLaughlin took my car in for scheduled maintenance on time and went right to work. When it was done, they reviewed with me everything that was done and checked and projected no expected needs before next maintenance. Then a free car wash. I got everything that I wanted in full.
I came into get my oil changed and tires rotated without an appointment. They got me right in and out within an hour. Bonus was car was vacuumed and washed! Great customer service.
Had an issue and Dave reached out quickly to do everything he could to make it better. I appreciate that and appreciate working with Kim each time we come in. Im giving 4 stars because nobody is perfect and there is always room for improvement. I am sure they will earn that other star in the future with service appointments. 😉
I did not come here looking for a car. I had car troubles while passing by and swung in to the service area as a last ditch effort. I walked in with no appointment and told them what was happening. A man explained what he thought was the problem and used their booster to restart my car. Got me only about a mile but I appreciate the help. An older gentleman in the service area. Thank you.

Getting a new car can always be a pain in the butt especially when the sales person is pushing. My experience with Leah was the best car buying experience I have ever had. Tried to buy a car today, couldnt get anyone to come out and help. Either they are severely understaffed or dont care for people potentially buying a car. Made 3 passes around the lot saw quite a few cars I was interested in got out looked around at about 10 or 15 cars and not one sales person came out or came around to talk to me( one guy was directing another worker from the detail shop to do something and just walked on by me without even acknowledging me). This dealership will never get my business. I shouldnt have to beg someone to help.
I’m from Minnesota and called all over the United States looking for the STI that I was interested in, a salesman by the name of Matt went above and beyond to help me get into the vehicle that I was interested in. I wouldn’t hesitate to purchase another vehicle from this dealer, this is the only dealership that went out of there way for me, all the other ones wouldn’t budge on anything. This dealer deserves five stars hands down, you won’t be disappointed.

I purchased a certified used 2019 Subaru Impreza from another dealership, I come here as my dealership of choice, part of perks of buying CPO is free oil changes for 2 years.I have been here twice for oil changes so far, hands down the best dealership I’ve ever been to. Came in for a oil change, they did that, rotating tires, did all the fluids, vacuumed it out, AND washed and dried it.The waiting area is well stocked with snacks, soda and coffee ☕️, a representative came by no less than 3 times asking if anyone needed an update on their vehicle.From the moment I pulled in, they are on the job .Sincere appreciation for the job they do, very professional.Thanks
My appointment was for Friday at 4pm and I was on time. Leah could not match the vin in the computer and had to call over a manager. The manager then informed us that I was scheduled for Saturday at 4 but that they will find a financial person to help me. Leah said that it would take about 20 minutes.The financial person gave me a form to fill out to verify my identity and he spelled my name wrong. The form consisted of a question about my EX-HUSBANDS family, I have been divorced since 2005. I had to complete 3 forms and my name was finally corrected on the last form. The financial person gave me a different form and asked me to verify the spelling of my name. I had to correct my house number, the length of time I lived at that house, my length of time with my current employer and I added my drivers license number. I was then asked if I would mind leaving his office because he had an appointment.I sat in the lobby and Leahs manager came over and told me that the problem with the vin was resolved. The car that arrived at McLoughlin was a higher package level and was an additional $3,000.00. I just looked at him and he said he would figure out how to make the deal work. He came back over and was so proud that he fixed McLoughlin’s mistake and then told me that I would be getting 15k miles a year. I said I do not know if I want that many miles, I wanted the break down for 10k, 12k and 15k per year and.... he walked away. At that point I YELLED, MAY I FINISH MY QUESTION? He came back and said of course so I explained that I wanted a break down based on miles as well as down payment. I got the information that I needed.I finally got back into the financial persons office. He showed me a form explain the additional warrantys and as I started to read it, he asked if he could explain it again. I said, NO, I understood what you said, I am going to read it for myself and decide. Was he going to mansplain it to me? I am quite capable of reading a form. As I was reading, he told me that he printed the old form. The difference in the price was approximately $0.20. While signing the lease he showed me the purchase price to buy my car at the end of the lease, approximately $15K, and then told me that I did not want to do that because I would have payments. That was so condescending. First of all, how does he know that I can not pay for that with a check? Second of all, the comment about have payments is not relevant. If I get a loan for the $15k I will have payments, if I lease a car again, I will have payments! Does he bully men like this?After completing the paperwork, I finally walked out as he was telling me about his wife’s closet. I told Leah that I needed the keys to my old car because I had a bag that I needed to retrieve. I put my bag in my new car and started to drive away and noticed that my license plates were on the old car.This appointment took 2 hours.
My experience with McLaughlin totally exceeded expectations.In addition to the purchase transaction I have had 2 appointments in the service department for after market installations as well as Subaru school with Kelly. Without exception terrific training is evident. Integrity, competence and friendly concern characterize each contact. It was surprising to learn that a car dealer with such high standards actually exists.I owned 4 Hondas before purchasing my 1st Subaru a few weeks ago. The Subaru is so much nicer than the Hondas
Scheduling an oil change is so easy and validated with an email and then a reminder an hour before appointment. Waiting area is pleasant, clean and user friendly. Staff are courteous, professional and friendly. The next day I called regarding the wait time for completion of my Subaru. My questions were answered to my satisfaction. You really do feel the Love! 😉
I bought a 2020 WRX from McLaughlin Subaru, and couldnt be happier with the way they did business. I was really impressed that I could get a complete OTD price from their website by giving them my email address. I showed up a couple of days later, took a test drive and loved the car. They didnt push when I said I wanted a day to think about it. After a short, easy negotiation we had a deal. Everything was transparent and honest. Im amazed that every car dealership doesnt operate like this, but they dont. So Im very glad I found McLaughlin Subaru. I got a great car at a great price without any nonsense. In the early stages of looking for my next car and I pulled in the lot and was just looking at a few vehicles. A salesperson was out and very friendly and answered a few of my questions. He respected that I told him Im not buying a car and just looking, this is unlike the few other dealers I have went to. No pressure and helpful. I will for sure be looking here when I do get my new car.

Observed their employees driving company vehicles while texting. beware any vehicles with their companys name on it. the employees are more concerned with texting, driving definitely isnt their skill.
Service at McLaughlin Subaru has always been 1st rate. There employees are very good at treating customers with courtesy. It is a great example of what a new car dealer should be.
Had a minor parking lot bump that disabled my blind spot sensor. Part was ordered but installation was hampered when minor frame damage was located. When I explained the problem to service rep John Tracey and the lengthy trip from my home in rural whiteside county in Illinois, he stepped up and brought in two kind members of the body shop who determined it could be quickly bent back in shape to allow sensor recalibration. This is my 2nd Subaru from McLaughlin and Ill be back. This is what real service looks like.
I had a great experience getting my 2013 Toyota Corolla here. I was looking to replace my 2009 Corolla with another Toyota in my price-range that also had low miles ~50,000 or less and this was the only place that had what I was looking for.Scott was a pleasure to work with and they managed to fix basically all of the cosmetic issues in their body shop and confirmed I was satisfied before the purchase. They even followed up with me and mailed addition spare keys (with the fobs built in) rapidly.It was almost an immediate turnaround even with the body work that needed to be done. If you prefer a little more reassurance buying from a dealer Id highly recommend Mcglaughlin.
This is our third Subaru purchased from McLaughlin Subaru. We bought our first one from their used car lot. Although it had high mileage, it was in excellent condition and after fourteen years and triple the mileage we used it as a trade on our third Subaru. The service and support from the McLaughlin Dealership was so good that when we needed to replace our second car we purchased a new Subaru Outback from them. The latest Subaru is also an Outback as we like the Outback’s look, economy, handling, and dependability. This is supported by McLaughlin’s readiness to provide the proper maintenance and service at a moments notice. We also like positive way they follow-up with all our interactions. Im on Subaru #5. It all started with a Subaru Baja. Never have I loved a car so much I kept it from 2003-2015.never even had to put a new muffler on it. Repairs for 12 years cost me a total of $800.00 for tires and brakes. I will never own anything but a Subaru
MCLAUGHLIN MOTORS SUBARU IN MOLINE ILLINOIS IS THE MOST DISHONEST DEALERSHIP & SERVICE IN ALL OF THE QUAD CITIES and Beyond!!!! If I could leave a negative stars, I would. The sales department is just as SUPER shady. But THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT IS COMPLETELY DISHONEST! They really should be investigated for deceptive practices, i.e. bait and switching. Not bothering to talk to the customer or ask the proper questions and getting important information needed to service you adequately. When you get your car trapped down there, they then tell you the repair is going to cost you 10x+ the amount. I found SHERRIE SCHMITT (Service) & Michelle GAU (Service Manager) to be extremely un-knowledgeable, arrogant, ignorant and revengeful when they are TOTALLY WRONG!I called to ask what it would cost to fix my car - Sherri didnt bother to talk to me about the repair other than she just threw me a price at me. Then when I got my non-running car towed there said it was going to cost way more then they told me. Well, if Sherri would have bothered to talk to me about the service I needed, I would have made a good decision and not towed it to McLaughlin because having McLaughlin work on it was going to be way too expensive. Completely a clear case of bait and switch. I would have NEVER paid to tow my car there if they were going to do nothing other than increase the price from $116 to $1,800!!!In addition, this wasnt my first HORRIBLE experience there and for me 3 strikes and youre OUT! When we came to a settlement on our situation - MICHELLE GAU, the service manager, OUT OF SPITE, REVENGEFULLY called QC Towing to tow my vehicle, KNOWING I called a another towing company to collect my car - They BLOCKED my car in to make it impossible to remove my car - holding it hostage EVEN AFTER I was extorted to pay them for exactly NOTHING!Can you believe it?!? They were gonna have my car impounded less than an hour of paying them and they KNEW I called a tow truck. All because I didnt get my car off their lot fast enough?!?!...lucky for me my tow truck driver took my car BEFORE QC TOWING could get to it.McLaughlin doesnt care about their customers unless you are a senior citizen who only buys a brand new Cadillac for $80,000 and allow them to fix everything on the car without asking questions. McLaughlin prefer customers they can take advantage of, and that is it!!!McLaughlin claim to be a ‘family’ dealership. They are NOT! McLaughlin is only interested in you if you are a customer who wants to drop a ton of money on repairs without asking questions. They don’t take the time to ask the right questions, to make you feel like they are there to serve and help you. Sherri SCHMITT, at McLaughlin couldn’t be inconvenience to even take my call or call me back to ask me exactly what I was need of and then mad at ME for quoting me the wrong price. Hey, McLaughlin, please hire people who care about customers and not the bottom line of up-selling to make more money. Every customer matters, not just the ones with deep pockets. I WILL NEVER EVER TAKE ANY CAR DOWN THERE FOR REPAIR OR SERVICE AGAIN!!! I will absolutely will be sharing my DISAPPROVAL & ABSOLUTELY DISGUST with anyone who is interested in a car or in need of service. Oil change and tire rotation fine. After paying got into car, wife waiting. Her keys in purse. So started car,left thinking my keys were in glove compartment. Got home, text had been sent almost home, 1 hour away. My keys left on a bench. We took car in on Saturday, mailed keys, received on Tuesday
I scheduled an online appointment for 730am and left my car there overnight for the early morning repair. They called at 730am and told me that they didnt have a record of my appointment but that they could sweeze it in that day. When I called at 230 to check they informed me that they rescheduled my appointment via email for a week later! If its this hard to get a Subaru repaired I will make sure that my next vehicle in not a Subaru!

Terrible customer service in service. Purchased our first Subaru from McLaughlin Subaru, sales experience was fantastic. Just had our first run in with service and it was terrible, service manager has 0 customer service skills. Set up a service appointment gave detailed information about the issues, assured by the dealership it would be taken care of same day (live two hours away). Arrive at dealer do not keep parts in stock had to order, several days to get them. Sent over to body shop with no explanation as to why. Had my husband call spoke with John Tracy, explained there was a hole in the roof that needed to be repaired by the body shop before they could install the antenna. There was no hole in the roof, there was a dent in the roof that left a gap between the new roof and the antenna. After several minutes we arrived at this his response was hole gap whatever man same thing. Not the same thing if I don’t understand what the heck you are talking about and why my car is now in your body shop. Needless to say even after calling ahead making an appointment explaining the situation we were left with out the vehicle being repaired and having to return again at a later date to maybe get taken care of. Not what I was expecting from Subaru, rude and unhelpful service folks. Will not be returning to this dealership after this warranty repair is done.

Great dealer, has always treated us like family, our second new Subaru purchase here. The only place we will buy from, great service after the sale and honesty I have never experienced at another dealer. We had our 2014 Outback in for repair under extended warranty once with a $100 copay. A month later we received a check in the mail for the $100 explaining that Subaru paid the full amount, now thats honesty. Like I said buy here!

Do NOT take your vehicle to this dealership for any reason!!!! My daughters brand new vehicle was towed there because of a noise in the front end. The tow truck driver loaded it on to his vehicle with no problems. He did not damage her vehicle in any way. There were 5 witnesses to this.My daughter went to pick up her vehicle today and noticed it was damaged and scratched all on the left side. When she asked about what happened to her vehicle she was told they didnt do it. She would have to call the towing company and have them take care of it. Why would anyone blame someone else for something they didnt do?? We all know it was perfectly fine when it arrived at the dealership, yet they told her there was nothing they could do. When she asked about looking at the surveillance camera to see what happened she was told was told that you cant see anything on the camera. This service department clearly has poor management and does not care about their customers or vehicles. Would not recommend them to anyone!!!!!

McLaughlin Subaru offers excellent auto repair/ service. They try hard to quickly and accurately diagnose any problem. I have had very few mechanical difficulties with my2 010 Forester so really I’m not there very often.Nice that they clean the car as well! My only very minor frustration was waiting over 3 hours for their shuttle driver to pick me up at my home, but they do not have to offer that courtesy service at all.I recommend them without reservation!
Seven Subaru vehicles since 2009, 4 currently in use and serviced by McLaughlin Subaru. If your buying used from Greg Moroni. or new from Matt Truitt, you will be treated fairly on the purchase and provided excellent long term customer service.
Greg Moroni was wonderful to work with. I knew I wanted the car that I did so it was pretty much jump in and test drive. I appreciated both my salesman and finance manager but I didn’t think highly of the sales manager’s style. I found him rude and pushy. It is because of him only that I give a low rating and would not use them again or recommend the dealership. I have also used their service department which I thought did an excellent job. She answered our questions to the point and directly about new changes, especially crucial new safety features, options, demonstrating clearly how to use the new features. Trade-in value, pricing and financing more than matched our expectations! Our whole experience at McLaughlin was excellent, and we will be returning.

Have brought my Subarus to this dealership for years. They are customer oriented and have had my confidence with needed repairs. The level of transparency on parts and labor costs has always been good in the past. That is until recently. Brought my CUV in to have the serpentine belt changed, assumed a Subaru OE belt would be installed and found an aftermarket belt was installed instead. The part price charged for the belt was also substantially higher than the cost of an OE belt.UpdateMcLaughlin management was quick to respond to my review and eager to rectify the situation using my initial feedback as an opportunity to improve their customer service experience. Much appreciated.

Everyone here is awesome! The sales people arent pushy. They help you decide what you want by telling you all your options and letting you decide. They are very friendly and care about your budget and what you can afford and try to work a deal based on what you want. They have a huge selection of Subarus. Matt Campbell helped me and he was very courteous and polite and helpful. Even on his day off he helped get things together over the phone so I didnt have to drive the long way there until I was sure which vehicle I was going to buy. I live a little over an hour away. They sent a complimentary tin of delicious chocolate chip cookies as a thank you for my business which was a nice touch. I love my Outback!!! Thank you McLaughlin Subaru!!!!
My sales representative was fantastic. Brian Cox was very knowledgeable and worked with me to find the exact Subaru for me. When i decided on the outback he worked to find the color i wanted. All of the staff and the entire process was great. Robert was great to work with and knowledgeable on different warranties and products.
Brian found just the car we wanted at a great price on a lease. Very pleased with his patience in explaining all the bells and whistles on the car and helping us on deciding between purchase and lease. We thought this particular car had sold, but he kept an ear out and found out those buyers had changed their minds. Got the one we wanted!

Salesmen are typically related to high pressure, commission driven people. Matt Campbell was not that type of salesmen. He made it very clear that he wanted to see me in the right vehicle for me. His extensive knowledge and professionalism was truly second to none. If you are looking to purchase a vehicle from McLaughlin, ask for Matt. I know that he will treat you with the same respect that he treated me.
Brandon Taber at McLaughlin Subaru was quick to respond to my e-price inquiry online. Needless to say, the price was good enough to get me in for a test drive! The car I wanted wasnt easy to find at the price I wanted, but Brandon and the McLaughlin team worked with me and my car trade-in to help me get the best deal possible. Shout out to Robert in Financing for helping me get a great interest rate, too! I am very happy with my purchase and overall experience.
Really great selection of newer used vehicles that we were shown. The cars sell themselves but Brandon Ellis was so helpful and answered our questions thoroughly. We are very pleased. Even though we did our own financing the finance people were really great about the process and are very satisfied we went to McLaughlin Motors!
I worked with Sales Consultant, Jon Elliot. It was by far the best andthe easiest car purchase I have ever experienced, and that was with having my son who turned 16 yrs old on the same day with me. Jon and two other team members were friendly, personable, helpful and full of information. They also went out of their way to make sure I was getting best rate, pricing and financing. I cannot applaud them more then a 5 Star Review and emphasize how thankful I am that we drove 3 hours to their dealership!

I had a positive experience buying a used car recently from McLaughlin Subaru. I anticipated buying a car in the summer, but already had a list of what I wanted for my next car: mileage, price, features. The next day I received word from David McClure that they had something that met my criteria. It turned out to be the right car for me, even if it was a couple months sooner than I anticipated. He sought answers to questions I had and followed up promptly with a response. When I hoped to change my pick up date due to weather, that was accommodated. When I needed a ride to get me there to pick it up and drive it home, he arranged that, too. I had a very positive car buying experience and got exactly the car I was hoping to find to fit my needs and budget. It was almost too easy...but I am grateful for such a positive, stress-free experience!

Great experience. If you want a great salesman, ask for Larry Harris. Larry went above and beyond to get us exactly what we were looking for. He stuck around to make sure that financing went well, and was very knowledgeable. We ended up with our dream car. If you want an honest dealership, this is the place. Ive had my fair share of shady questionable dealers, but McLaughlin helps to restore faith in humanity.The only downside to our car was it still had some wax on it. Great to see they detail all of the cars, just wish the job was finished.
We had a wonderful experience at McLaughlin Subaru last month. The staff, including Brandon, went above and beyond expectations. I particularly appreciated the fact that there was no high pressure selling. And they spent a great deal of time with us once we leased the car to go over all of the features. Great company.
I was severely overcharged for a repair done during a recall though it does seem the work was performed correctly.Not overly polite customer service (you should never make personal opinion comments about customers in their presence!)

After doing research online we decided the Subaru Legacy Limited was the right choice for us. Our local dealer had a limited inventory and did not wish to negotiate on a price. We found McLaughlin Subaru, 82 miles away, online and looked at their inventory. We inquired about their ePrice on two Legacy models and Kim Hicks, a sales consultant, responded right away. She was great to work with and we made our purchase after exchanging several e-mails. She was very professional and extremely helpful during the purchase process. She and Brandon sent a copy of the purchase agreement to us the day before our trip to pick up the car to give us an opportunity to review it in our good time.We would recommend McLaughlin Subaru and Kim Hicks to anyone interested in a Subaru. Overall an A+ experience with the complete shopping time. Especially Kris & Matt were awesome human beings and wonderful people to work with. The manager over there is a Gentlemen. Out and out 10/10 for the hospitality, then effort to explain you what is good/bad and lastly the closing experience where they were pretty straight on the offers/programms they were offering. I cant say enough good about McLaughlin Cadillac. Just purchased my third automobile from them and the experience is as good or better each time. This car is for my daughter and granddaughter to drive and they have treated them in this purchase of a little Chevy SUV as though they just bought the top of the line Cadillac. We will return every time we are in the market.
