Incredibly horrible service by the female staff at the pharmacy section who speaks Shanghaiese. She was unbelievably rude and simply not doing her job at all - she kept looking at her phone and video chatting in Shanghainese while at work, walked past customers as if they were air to her, and YELLED loudly at the customers. Such behavior is completely unacceptable!!!
Decent Asian grocery store, similar as 99 ranch. Better vegetable options
This place is friendly as long as you wear a mask love the tea they have.
Cashier 145 not good. Not polite.Yes. She treat customers differently, such a coward.
I not sure, this supermarket stolen the customer credit card info to someone else.i been try few time with transaction with them.the next day I got stolen issue in my credit card.
The only thing I found outstanding at this market is how bad the service is. Their cashier is terrible at customer service. In the area where there are so many Asian markets, they need to step up their game. Why would I ever go back when I can go to 99 Ranch and Arcadia Market - both with better product selections and service.
Generally a good supermarket for south east asian groceries and produce. Will have common products such as milk, peanut butter, and others but likely limited to what you might expect at a Vons. All items are neatly placed ans orderly. Store is very clean. Most products seemed to be competitively priced. The market can get very busy on Friday-Sunday. Parking lot is average, bit on the smaller size as the plaza shares the lot with many other restaurants and a laundry mat. Best time to go, in my experience, is 11-2 Tuesday-Thursday.
This is a great store. Im not quite sure why there are duplicate listings for the same location. It is clean, bright, well stocked and staffed with friendly, helpful people.Prices are good, nice selection, butcher, seafood tanks, lots of produce and several aisles offering traditional Korean products. Beer, wine and alcohol too.I enjoyed my trip here and would definitely come back. I made the best pho ever from the fresh ingredients I got at this market.
I absolutely love this store! Tons of fresh fish options, a beautiful produce section, and the prices are great!
It was different for sure. But a pleasant place
Can buy a lot of things that are not available outside
Amazing selection, not enough time in one trip to see it all. Cant wait to go back for fresh seafood.
Bought chicken liver today, taste soon bitter, compared with the one I bought from Tokyo central which is always fresh, not crumbly and bitter at all,so disappointed:(
A whole Chinese supermarket, complete with meat and fresh fish. The produce section has a great deal of items unseen in a Vons or Ralphs . A real find.
This is by far my favorite place to buy groceries!
Not a very good variety in american food it mostly chinese !! smells like it needs a good cleaning 🙂
This is a Chinese grocery store (if you like labels) and I seldom see another caucasian also shopping inside when I am. The areas population majority are Chinese, but not 90%.If you only like the packaged and processed products like Oreos, or Fruit Loops, or CheeseWiz, you should stick to Ralphs/Albertsons. But if you like a larger variety of fruits, vegetables, live/fresh seafood or sushi, and pay about 30% less than the Krogers, I highly recommend you check this place out.For those who cant stand the small of raw fish, dont go inside, or if you do just stay away from the very back wall.
Terrible market terrible service! The cleaning man was very rude, he don’t have any service Mind of his job! I had one small trash in my bag, so looking for the trash can in the store, Finally I found one, but the cleaning man said that’s only for paper, omg there’s no any sign said that’s for paper, I put into trash cans but he gave back to me! He didn’t keep social distance with customers! That’s terrible Experience! I don’t want to go this market anymore and I will tell my friends don’t go there too.
Love this store for affordable produce. It does smell strongly of the seafood though.
That is one of my favorite store in tgat area with a lot Of fresh vegetables and fruits. Sea food is amazing there.
Im always able to find what I need to make new Asian recipes. The produce is always very fresh. Such a large variety of produce from many other countries. The fish and seafood department is wonderful. Such an assortment of fresh and live fish and seafood. This market is very well stocked with so many foods usually not found in other markets. The huge assortment of Sake is awesome. The market is always very clean and the shelves are neatly kept at all times. The associates are always very helpful and courteous. Excellent market.
The cashier needs to be well trained.
Great meat department. Good sales and very clean. Bathrooms were clean and smelled really good.
A very typical Asian supermarket. Nothing too impressive or notable. Has a somewhat diverse stock of Asian produce.
You get your basic Asian staples. Their produce is average at best and a bit overpriced compared to other Asian markets. Chicken, pork, beef, and seafood are ok, if you get their more expensive grade, and they have some good weekly specials every now and then. The caveat is that they have monopoly in that particular area and I guess they take advantage of that fact. The grocery selection is nowhere near to what youd get in places like 168, H-Mart or Ranch 99, but then again, its the convenience youre going for here, especially if you happen to live in Monrovia/Duarte area.
This is an amazing Asian grocery store. Their fresh fish is the largest selection I have ever seen. They also have live fish, clams and conch in tanks. I have found the quality and cost of their produce very competitive. Also, you have an option on frozen duck and quail. Parking is free and in a strip mall. I highly recommend this establishment.
Great place! lots of delicous foods & drinks! Highly recommended!
Very bad staff with no exception. You have to be Asian to go there and deserve some kindness. They dont even answer your question and ignore you. Horrible!!
Price and service meet the requirements
There is a lot of Asia snacks that other Chinese market dont have.
Shop here for most of my Asian cooking needs. I like the way they sell their vegetables which have been prepacked in plastic bags. No need to fuzz with picking the veggie and put it in a plastic bags. Unlike other Asian markets, this one has everything I need to cook a wide spectrum of Asian cuisines. I can find lemon grass, Thai basil, tamarinds Au earth, Japanese sake, and most herds. Besides veggies and herds, I can also find fresh seafoods here too. Seafoods are kept in water tanks. Right now fresh dungeons crab is for only $9 a pound and lobster is for $12 a pound. One thing I came here for the most is the fresh rice noodle. Whenever I am craving for fried noodle, I would come here to buy a pack of fresh noodle and a bag of Brean sprout to take home for cooking an authentic Chinese chow fen.
The Chinese service in the fish department is very poor 👎, the fish is not cleaned up, and will not patronize again from now on👎👎
I bought the 2 pounds live snails at 9.99 a pound. Shells were closed showing they were alive. However when I cooked them in water a HORRIBLE Chemical Smell spread thru the kitchen. I took a sample snail meat out and it smelled toxic. My husband and son said somethings wrong. Don’t eat. The return policy is just 2 hours and we bought it at 6pm but prepared it at 8pm after rinsing with lots of fresh water. The store closes at 9pm.Very Disappointing.WILL NOT GO BACK AGAIN😡😡😡😡😡
It was our good fortune to stumble across this fantastic Asian market. The store is clean, neat, organized, and packed to the brim. The produce is a limited in some ways but extensive in others. There is a tone of options when it come the dry goods though. The staff are friendly and will direct you to what you are looking for is you ask, you may have to as well because this store is packed with wonderful things.
Easy peazy, fast in and fast out. Courteous check out lady. thx!
The staff are very friendly, however quality and variety of groceries provided are very so/so
This asian grocery store looks clean and offers good selection of merchandise.
Just grand opening but the inside is very the same as previous owner. May be the same owner but different name. They need someone speaking English in the store or give away gift or at least English writing on the bill board. I need another English speaking customer to explain to me. The store is very clean and organize but little costly than other I went to. Its alright when I need something urgent and store close by.
They have a variety of seafoods. All live and fresh. I drive 1 hour each week just for their seafood. Price is pretty reasonable too.
Very neat and clean Asian market that even smells good. Some items are hard to find, but staff speaks English and gives good directions
Good fortune is a decent Chinese grocery store. Their produce is fresh and they have a good variety. They also have a decent stock of dry goods. Their freezer section is not very big and doesnt carry some of things I want. And Im not big on their meat or fish selection. Id rather go elsewhere for those items.
Smell worst at the front door and even stronger smell inside
They have all the fresh vegetables, meat and fish at low price. This is my dream come true supermarket as I love cooking Asian cuisines. I come here regularly to buy and taste their products. I use my Google phone to translate the things I need to Chinese and show it to those shopkeepers who have difficulty with English. Thanks to Google translate. I recommend you visit this place to have a good experience.
Best Asian market in the area. Great selection, very good produce, and really well kept!
Great market .. the seafood is fresh .. price is high .. but u get what u pay for .. wonderful employees
Really good vegetables & fruits recomend it
Needed to buy banana leaves because Im making Hawaiian pork and theres no place else to buy banana leaves this time of year. I also bought taro root because Ill be making poi and the produce man was more than helpful. I love this store it has everything Asian and lots of stuff Ive never seen anywhere else ever! My mom used to buy and eat dried shrimp and this is the only store I know where I can find it
Good place, brigif, good price
Great produce, but the best part about this place is the yams! Check this place out for yourself, its top notch!
Live seafood here is always fresher and cheaper than most Asian supermarket such as 168/99ranch/GW/hmart. Live fish here does not have the earthy/dirt like taste. They let the fish and most live seafood starve for couple days to reduce dirt taste or sand. Parking is not too bad on the weekend. Their weekly sale/offer is not posted online. Their asian products is not as diverse as 99ranch but their price is cheaper for most item.
Excellent selection of produce, didnt check out meats but the seafood selection... definitely looks awesome! They carry a great deal of Japanese, Korean, and Chinese products! Good wine and beer selection!
Is a good play to shopping
This is a great supper market
Went for items to make a couple of Asian dishes. A great store to find the hard to find ingredients. Will also go back for fresh fish, which they will fillet for you. That is fresh.
Love here better than 99 ranch. Vegetables are fresh and organized. You can find more kinds of frozen food and more Chinese snacks there.
I am not asian but I do make Asian food. since most of the products are in mandating or other language I always ask for help. the people are extra nice. prices are good.
Great selection of Asian food goods
Theyre often out of stock of certain brands of the cup noodles and they never get the same ones. They stopped stocking that Nissin Kimchi flavor cup noodles and it was like the best flavor. It made me sad. Its a pretty good store though.
Much cleaner then before! But Im so skeptical about buying fresh fruit and vegetables because I always see some with mold already growing on them! They have great prices but just make sure you inspect what you get before paying!
Clean. Staff was helpful. Mr. Hong spoke English and Vietnamese and helped me buy the ingredients for pho, which was the reason for my visit to the store today.
Open in 2013, been the first Asian Supermarket in this neighborhood. A little pricey but save the trip. Staff attitude is bad, no thank you and smile. Although they label themselves accept credit card, they set a threshold of it as they prefer cash. Just saw a customer in front of me with receipt claim something charge wrong on her last visit. Better watch your own bill to see it right.
A variety of fruits, live fish and most of Asian food for you to choose for, prices is reasonable, I like to go there for the fresh and live fish to prepare at home or to buy ingredients for my Curry Chicken. Open 7 days.
Small plaza with a decently sized asian market. Easy to find different kinds of bak choy. They have a variety of sales.
The smoked duck, the char broiled beef, and the fish, especially the fish, were done to perfection. The staff were very welcoming, even though we stayed past closing. Highly recommended.
The supermarket has improved a great deal since it came to this location several years ago. Very clean and tidy. Lots of selection in East Asian food.
Good grocery store. Some of the things are kind of oddly organized but its clean and well-lit.
Fresh Chinese Produce
Great prices..good cust service. Seafood dept was very courteous a d helpful.
Asian supermarket. Fresh, clean, reasonable price. Good customer service.
Pretty typical Chinese supermarket. Lots of options with fresh veggies. If you want fresh and cheap bok choy - this is the place to go! They take Visa and MasterCard.. no Amex. Free parking lot. Can get very busy during peak hours. Weekdays in the morning are best.
Very nice and clean market
Best prices on veggies around. Great selection of pretty much be everything.
Its open late drinks are moderate at best. Plenty of seeting, food mostly blows. It isnt bad when there isnt many option to go do some work with headphones. The music here is garbage.
They have a decent variety of stuff. Friendly helpful staff, and good prices.
Very clean and bright for chinese market, price is just okay but selection is great
Id give five stars if they carried more Korean groceries.
One of the best upscale Asian markets in the area. Prices are higher, but quality of produce, meats and products is higher. Fast checkout. Come here to buy my Dragon Fruit and Ju Ju Bees.
I dont know about good fortune, I had nothing but bad luck after I busted this place.
Very nice Asian market. Laid out nice and clean.
Great selection of produce and Asian groceries. Reasonable price.
Pleasant place to walk around. Unusual shops and restaurants. Love Changs garden and supermarket. Parking is terrible!
They have super fresh produce, live tanks for fish and shellfish, Everything you could want for Asian cusine!
This Chinese market is convenient but lacks quality in products. It is nice to find some random stuff but the groceries are poor in my opinion. Do NOT get their Durian, it is always spoiled.
Good place for get Asian stuff but sometimes parking is not enough.
Very clean and cheaper price
Good Asian Supermarket in this neighbourhood. So far so good save some driving.
Its a decent asian supermarket. Youll find a huge selection of fish and fish products. The place smells like fish, and not always in a good way. Other meat is provided and fairly cheap, but of questionable origin.
Has what most Chinese supermarkets have at a good price. Best thing about the store is the selection.
Vegetables are always very fresh and with a great selection too.
This Asian market has very fresh groceries, the cashiers are nice, overall a very good environment.
