I was googling for a bicycle repair shop near me and I came upon Neil Bicycle Repair shop. Based on the positive feedback from previous customers, I thought I would give it a try and take my bike to his place for a tune up. Pleasantly surprised would be an understatement. It felt like my bicycle had been restored to its factory conditioned after he completed tuning it.Im a weekend bicyclist and I ride at least 25 to 30 miles and I had not replaced any of my bike parts since I purchased it more than 5 years ago. Other than the regular tire and tube replacement, all parts were original. After checking my bicycle, Neil said he had not seen such a worn chain and recommended replacing it. In addition to the chain, he also replaced the front and rear brakes, all the brake cables, adjusted both tires to fix a slight wobble, and cleaned the gears thoroughly.After the tune up, I felt like I was riding a brand new bike. Everything felt tight and smooth. I had an issue when switching gears and after the tune up it was much easier and smoother. The brakes had been adjusted as well and I did not have to press the brake all the way to engage it. The wobbly tire was gone as well.Thanks Neil for a great job on tuning up my bike. Neil was great. The chain had snapped on my bike. He tracked down a replacement and gave the bike a once over, making sure everything was properly aligned and working as it should (it has been assembled by me, so needed some tweaking). Definitely bring your bike to Neil!
