Excellent customer service! With a dead battery and only five minutes before closing, David and Adrienne went the extra mile to assist us. David confirmed that they had a battery in stock, tasked Adrienne to charge the dead battery, pull the car in and replace the battery; and had us on our way and out the door, safe and sound. I had an awful experience at Pep Boys. I made an appointment and they delayed checking my car for days, and when they told me it was ready for pick up, it wasnt, they hadnt even checked what was wrong with it and didnt even reimburse the hundreds of dollars I had paid, even after offering to do so. I was surprised because I had had a good experience in general with oil changes and they would check my tires for free and things like that.I will never go back there, the problem with my engine they failed to fix originally could have caused me to be in a potentially deadly accident, I am glad I was able to realize something was STILL wrong before leaving. The woman I spoke with was also very rude and had the nerve to accuse me of their own incompetence. Just awful. :(

I have always had a good experience in the past and felt their prices and service were very fair until this last time I went. Needed battery replaced and to me the prices seemed very high. Later checked with Walmart and found I over spent by about $30.00 on the battery.

These folks were AMAZING! I got a flat tire on a Friday afternoon at 4:00 (the worst timing haha) and the tow truck brought me here and Im so glad they did! Given that it was almost 5:30 by the time I got there, I was sure Id have to leave it over night. They were so kind and offered to do it and put on 2 new tires at a very fair price (and told me the cause of the flat) and had me in, out, and on my way in no time at all. I was so grateful! They made a stressful, frustrating situation so much better and I even made it to my Friday night plans! :-D Will definitely go back!!!

Took my wifes car for some warranty work and they were able to fix the shaking in the car and also let us know there were marks on the tire that would need to be monitored.

This Pep Boys is truly exceptional. The service is excellent and professional. They dont just guess, but systematically track down the problem. They are very fair with the pricing and try to make the labor cost as efficient as possible. I would and will recommend my friends and family to this particular location.The one issue is that its rare for this Pep Boys to do any walk ins because of how busy they are, but its easy to make an appointment if you can wait a couple days. Dont let that discourage you though. They will do a better job than most other places so its worth the wait.The team they have is one of the most knowledgeable Ive had the pleasure of dealing with. They helped me with multiple car issues that others could not fix and I truly appreciated their efforts.

I still love this pep boys location. Pretty well stocked though out of large gloves. They were also doors locked last week 30 minutes after opening with no sign on the door as to why. My experience at pep boys was much better than Oreillys down the street who had a person working the counter who did not know anything about cars. I will definitely be coming to Pep Boys instead of OReillys

I go to Pep Boys for all my car needs and this one has been my favorite. I love their rewards program. As a female, I am always cautious to not be taken advantage of when it comes to car service. I began coming here when I moved to the area and they have been honest and have always taken such great care of my cars / vehicles keeping them in excellent condition. Charles and Mark along with their awesome team always do thorough, great work and have always given me such wonderful customer service. I am so grateful to them! I have referred and brought others here to them as well. I will even go out of my way to come here because Charles, Mark and their team are my team, my boys & I know my vehicles and I are in such good hands with them.

Very clean and spacious. Has great variety of products. I think it very convenient that it is placed behind a car wash place. If you need anything for your car you can just walk right in and get it. On the surrounding parking lots there is plenty of shade. Id return if it werent far from my place.

I went in for tires and Bobby Im pretty sure his name is showed my options and said they could do it the same day. I ended up getting my tires and alignment. Not only did he come through on the same day but also under budget. I recommend going there and asking for him. This is the second time Ive been there and will go back for sure. Horrible service when I went in to make an appointment the guy I talked to didn’t tell me any info! He just sent up the appointment for me and that was it and when I came back on my appointment date the worker (mark was his name) I talked to was being so rude and even was giving attitude. He also had made a remark towards me and the friend I was with to his coworker, which was very unprofessional! He didn’t even apologize so I took my keys and left. They lost my business and my respect. I do not recommend this place at all poor customer service! If I could give it zero stars I would!

I have been going to this pep boys for about 10 years. Everyone has been helpful and honest..NEVER had a bad experience. I myself usto be the manager at Wal-Mart tire center in Pico Rivera..so from my Opinion excellent customer Service, honesty, and welcoming. I got my brakes done and they sound like new. Honestly the best service in a long time from a mechanic or dealership. Mark was amazing and explained everything how it was and his concerns. I will always bring my car here from now on. If you love your car take it here.

They service manager durning the afternoon shift is outstanding. He is very professional and an honest man.

Walked in without an appointment around 530 P.M. after the Pomona location denied putting headlights into my car even with an appointment. They apologized for the attitude of the employees at the other location and said they would do what they could to take care of me. I have HID headlights and its not an easy job to get them put in. But they had the car in and out within an hour and a half. Super grateful for these employees. Thank you again! I will be coming to this location any time I need service now.

Extremely dissatisfied! I paid for my brakes and rotors to be replaced same day I leave the shop my brakes are still squeaking louder than ever! For top dollar pricing Id expect top dollar service..

Got my Lyft inspection done here and wanted to like this place/make it my regular mechanic, but then I came in to get a quick oil change. Every bay was empty, but the service head told me there was a two hour wait due to appointments. I guess I understand the philosophy but I guarantee they would have been able to finish before the other bays filled up. Will be taking my business elsewhere.

Bought tires here with the warrantee... Fixed with a plug patch at no cost!

They did not have the part I needed in stock, but neither did other competitors. They are ordering it for me. They pricematched the other store where it was also out of stock but in the system, and they gave me a definite arrival time, which the competitor couldnt do.

I love that I make a call to the shop and they tell me when to bring the car in and about how long it will take for the repair. All of the Staff and the Service Techs are always very polite and always makes me feel like I am welcome. I trust your staff that they are always up front and tell me exactly what is wrong and how they are going to repair the auto. I have also used your shop on Foothill Blvd in Upland and received the same great service.

The best!!!! The manager is always very professional, respectful and always willing to accommodate your needs. Ive been coming here for around eight years and I gets better avery time I come.

We stopped into Pep Boys because we had a screw enladged in our car tire. We simply ask them to pull out the screw and put a plug in the car tire so we could be on our way. Because we had a rental car they said that they had to do an hour-and-a-half inspection on the whole car before they could plug the hole in the tire. We ended up buying a $10 Tire plug kit and did it ourselves in about 5 minutes. Never going back to Pep Boys

In a previous post, concerning ATD In Pomona, I recommended PepBoys in Montclair; well, I will also add that you may want to talk to Mark, for any of your car’s problems; and, yea, do not go to American Tires in Pomona, unless you want to be screwed!

The staff welcomed me right when I walked through the door! I was in and out very fast. I needed a radiator cap, the guy grabbed it for me and I was on my way. I have also had tires rotated here and the guys in the shop were nice too.

Great service! They changed my oil and two light bulbs very quickly!

This place is a great place to take your car. Ive been taking my car here for years. The car service department here is wonderful very honest when you bring your car in for repairs. If you need repairs I highly recommend Pep Boys on Central Ave. In Montclair.

Don’t recommend to go to this pepboys.. they are not helpful and they always ask about appointment even if it is an emergency and at the same time it’s written quick assist lane but it seems like they don’t do it.. the reason is the technician is about to leave in an hour and I can’t ask him to do it

I was down in the Upland, CA area from Sacramento to visit with my brother and his family who had flown out from England. Unfortunately the trip killed my Dodge Neon which was a cause for concern as it had to get me and my family back home. I did some online research and decided to go to the Montclair Pep Boys and Im so glad that I did!I was helped by an associate named Mark and he gave me all of my options as to what my vehicle needed and kept me informed of the progress throughout the day. Very courteous and very professional. He listened to my input and he and his team had my car back on the road.

This is a hit and miss,For small items, theyre okay - but theyre generally overpriced.If youre not in a hurry with your repair, wait for the real big sale (the one with the big rebates) in order to save some money.Two stars is for the defective shocks they put on my truck. Although its covered by their warranty, that fact that I had to go back within a month was a waste of time.

I made an appointment to get 4 tires and an alignment....when I got there they didnt have the tires after we discussed it .....a total waste of my time.....I went to Big Os and they priced me better with a better warranty so I made out better anyway.

This is the second time they overfilled my mothers car on her oil change, even after being told about the previous overfill. They told her they checked it (TWICE!) before letting the car leave, which means they either lied and didnt check it, or checked it,(TWICE!) and then let it leave overfilled, anyway. FAIL.

I have had this Pepboys do Tires, Alignments, and Oil changes on my 1992 Toyota Camry and 1994 BMW 325i. They have always done a good job and once, they helped troubleshoot a problem for free.The wait time is average, but the quality is there.
