I discovered Smog World in 2017. I was looking for a good place to go since my previous spot closed down. On Monterey Pass Road, there are many smog services. I dont recall what made me go here, but Im glad I did! The owner is awesome! One of the most down to earth people youll meet, very kind and professional! He has a beautiful cat that hangs out and he even made me coffee! You feel like youve known him forever! The service took about 15 minutes, but I ended up hanging out talking to the owner! Seriously, a great experience. Once you go here, youll go nowhere else! He always does a complimentary buffing of your headlights, restoring them to like new condition. Highly recommended.

Great experience for something nobody really wants to do. Vic was terrific. I was in and out in about 20 min. He also cleaned both headlights, which had gotten yellowed over the years. Very recommended!

Just pulled up despite the lot being extremely full of cars the man (Vic) was doing the emissions test said hed do my car next.I had noticed my tire really low prior to going in and he filed the tire and polished the headlights as well, no extra charge. I have paid for the polish for headlights and there are many brands from Rain X, to Turtle wax, to rustoleum all run about $8.00 and up, plus the time and elbow grease to do them. I know emissions can cost as low as 40 to 50 bucks. Personally the saving of a few $$ at other lower cost establishments ends up costing much more in time. (My experience has been 2 to 8 Hours more time) well worth spending a bucks to save hours of time. I left way ahead of those other times, less than an hour which is great. After all said and done cost about $65.00, for quick, professional service. I would recommend this shop if youre in the area and maybe even one of the surrounding areas for emissions. If the rest of this establishment is as polite, professional and quick as they are with the other services they offer (which I saw no reason to think otherwise) it might be worth driving from miles away.

You wouldnt think that a smog check would be an uplifting experience but this one is. Vic goes above and beyond. He buffed out a scratch on my bumper and let me know that I had a tail light out. He offered to replace it if I had had it on me. It shows that he cares and I feel appreciated. I will be coming back and letting everyone know about this smog location.

I have had 3 of my smog tests done here, and am about to have my fourth done this week. He does a good job, has a fair price, and has a nice waiting room- like a mini Starbucks. I have failed a test on an old car, and he worked with my mechanic to get it to pass. I recommend Vic and Smog World without reservation.

He is very knowledgeable about stuff that might affect your car failing the test ie...55mph for a couple of miles to reprogram your cars computer(if your battery has been unplugged for a bit) you wont be disappointed!

Fastest, friendliest service! I found this shop on the California DMV website because a smog check was needed and its definitely lived up to the glowing and high reviews on Yelp and Google. And its open on Saturday which was important for me since I work during the week.

This was by far one of the quickest smog services Ive ever had and the guy there was so nice he repolished my headlights sans charge and threw on a discount on top of that to boot. Definitely found a permanent go to place for smog checks.

Vic is the boss man here. Took my friends 95 van here for the smog check. We called a couple other places that were farther but they had slightly cheaper prices. Vic seemed like a truly honest person so we decided to just do the smog check here. He didnt charge any extra with a surprise fee at the end. The entire time during the smog check we were laughing and joking around. Real chill guy, honest, friendly and funny.

Courtesy service included- headlight polish, tire pressure check, and a warm friendly welcome from him and Smoggy.Update: 12.17.2020Failed 1st smog test because of battery reset, drove around town to stack mileage for a few days then got sick so I couldnt go for my 2nd smog test within the 10 day period. Came back in on the 14th day expecting (and ready) to pay another $50+ for the smog test but he graciously let it go. Hes an honorable and respectable individual- you see it when you have a meaningful conversation with him.Anyways, fastest gunslinger in town was out before I knew it, tops 10mins.

Smog world is the real deal & Vic is the man behind it. I highly recommend this place as I will definitely be back, especially to try their interior detailing. Only interior because I like doing exterior detailing myself.Came in, told Vic I just bought the car and that previous owner didnt do any performance mods other than suspension. He popped the hood and checked to see if everything was legit. Thankfully it was. Smogged my car with the quickness. Buffed out my headlights even though I forgot to check in on yelp. Price for the smog is reasonable considering nobody else does this. How long hell be offering this great service, who knows? But doesnt matter to me because Im hooked.After enjoying the look of my freshly buffed headlights, I was out of there within an hour. One hour?! Time does fly when youre having a good chat with the man. My main takeaway from the dude was that cars are meant to be driven, so occasionally you have to really push it & dont baby the throttle all the time. Words of wisdom which I will gladly follow in my 6 speed.If youre reading this, Ill cya real soon. & thanks for the discount which I just realized you gave me haha.
