Everyone working there has been really good to me, unfortunately I cant stop there anymore because of personal health issues. But I just wanted to say that everyone there was really respectful and responsible during this quarantine business.
We were able to purchase some local brews to take home to Tennessee, including the Alchemist, Heady Topper!
Young dark haired guy at the register with pink orlando baseball cap turned really rude. Shop elsewhere.
Went in to pick up an order for an immune compromised person I live with. They asked me to take my mask off to check my ID. I left right away cause I dont want to put anyone at risk, especially my loved ones.I dont know if it is legal or not to ask someone to take off their mask, but either way I think its an irresponsible policy. Maybe walk outside to check peoples IDs if you need to, from six feet away? Nobody should be taking their mask off indoors with the pandemic at levels this high.I dont want to hurt this community business or anything, because I am sure they are decent people, but I think everyone should be informed about their policies so people can protect themselves. I just hope they change it.
They need to do some restocking…However the staff was friendly..
Gentleman working there is very rude talks to you poorly. And the best part didnt ID neither me or my husband! Good thing im.of age. Will not be visiting this store again
Far and away my favorite retail people ever!Purveying in alcohol is fraught occupation on any good day, and nowadays, I’d knock it up to heroic.I am truly grateful that I can procure my hoochwithin walking distance of my house. Thanks a’million folks! Rock On!Somebody loves you!
Great selection, good people
Good prices and great staff
Good for hard liquor (as there is no where else to buy it in little Montpelier) but so-so for wines as the Coop in Montpelier are much better for wines at a reasonable price!!Staff is touch and go...some are mopey others have a clear pulse!! I buy between $100 and $500 a month here. Never been able to make a real human “bond” with any of the rotating staff. But we have no choice of hard liquor stores in Montpelier so I make the best of it!! Shawn was a GREAT manager but he left for some new job elsewhere. I do miss him and his cheerful service!!
I wouldnt have left any stars if I couldve I just recently went out in public for the 1st time since the pandemic walked into this store and was instantly told I need 2 have a mask on by 4 people at once. I immediately not knowing who 2 talk to said I cant wear one and that i had a doctors note because i cant. I was shot down told it was a privately owned store and i needed to leave. I felt very discriminated against I wasnt wearing a mask because I physically cant. In no way was it just cause I didnt want 2 but physically cant I had proof but it didnt matter! Id like to know if this owner discriminates all sorts of things!
Glad people without masks are not allowed to enter. Keeping people safe :)
Great small place with friendly staff, recommended me some local Vermont Whiskey
My mother went into this store and wasnt wearing a mask due to medical reasons, she has a doctors note and medically CAN NOT wear a mask. The owner has since tried to lie in the reviews and say that he will talk to the staff about their communication and offer curbside pickup to anyone medically exempt. In reality he was the one who kicked her out, wouldnt even ask or look at her doctors note, and did not once offer curbside delivery. This is extremely wrong and the morals behind this man seem off if he can act this way to a customer and then make up lies publicly on his reviews. If you medically cant wear a mask id reccomend going to a different liquor store since this man will not look at your doctors note and throw you out. He can try to say it wasnt him but upon her saying she medically couldnt and had a doctors note he said i own this business and its privately owned and you need to leaveShaming people who have medical conditions is wrong and extremely shameful and i will not be giving this store my business.I wish zero stars was an option
Good selection of various liquors. Not to many different types of beer.
Encountered one of the rudest people Ive ever met here. The lady working at the register must have been having a bad day. As I was walking in, there was a bit of a log jam in your door. I pushed the door hard so that it would stay open for the lady leaving (she was exiting closer to the door so I would have had to reach above and across her to hold it). As I continued walking in she goes aw youre not going to hold the door for her?. I let this comment go and didnt say anything. As I kept walking, she started tsking me (you know the sound people make when they are scolding someone). To that, I said dont do that, thats rude. Her response was Ill do whatever I want... Im the gatekeeper between you and buying some alcohol. Pretty odd, powertripping response.Left the store at this point. This lady was obviously looking to start something with someone. I was a long time customer here, but Ill never return and I would advise others to go to a different store. If I had to guess, this is probably the same woman who accused a customer who had cerebral palsy of being inebriated (as noted in another review). Whoever owns this store needs to rethink who they employ.
They carry a lot of local products and some hard to get imports. One stop shopping for liquor desires. The staff is top notch.
Best place to get booze. People are friendly and know their stuff.
Got the elusive Heady Topper here! Has a decent variety of spirits as well & the manager or maybe owner is a cool, accommodating guy. He schooled me on the insanity of craft beer hype in VT & also their oddities as well.
Nice layout for Covid, quick in and out.
Not very friendly.
A female cashier here tried to refuse to sell my wife and I alcohol because she thought my wife was inebriated. My wife has cerebral palsy and I suppose this can be mistaken as drunk behavior sometimes. If you have a disability I suggest going elsewhere.
Great selection of top local brews plus typical fare. Very knowledgeable staff with a great attitude.
Good variety in a small place, nice atmosphere
Great store. I had wine questions and they were very helpful.
Good liquor store. Nice variety, friendly and knowledgeable service. Clean and lots of space.
Great place but limited selection on craft beer.
Great selection of wine and liquor and they will special order for you too.
Very nice store plenty of variety and friendly service
Probably the friendliest staff Ive ever met at a liquor store, or almost any other type of store for that matter. Great selection of Vermont beer, liquor, and of course maple syrup.
Great place. Good selection and good staff

Friendly staff, great beer selection for a small store
Miss my friends that work there.... especially my Georgia Guy
Great service and many cocktails to imbibe.
Nice staff good selection
Good selection of local spirits
Bad selection, some of the employees are very nice, but others are extremely rude
Small & cute just like Monpelier.
Terrible, inconvenient hours. Why on earth do they close at 7:30 PM Monday-Thursday? I cant tell you the number of times I work late or grab dinner downtown and then try to go to this store only to find them closed. When all bars and restaurants in town are full of people, this liquor store is closed? Is it really that difficult to remain open past the dinner rush so people can buy a bottle, some beer or wine on the way home?Closing at 9:00 PM on Friday and Saturday is also inconvenient. If anything they should be open until at least 10 PM. Ideally 11 or midnight so people can get supplies on their way home from late dinners or bars.Lastly, why does a liquor store need to open at 9 AM? Is anyone really buying beer, wine and liquor at 9 AM?If this business were run well they would shift their hours to open at 10 or 11 AM everyday, close at 10 or 11 PM Monday through Thursday. Then stay open until 11 or midnight on Friday and Saturday.Know your customer base, Yankee Spirits! Were not buying booze at 9 AM! Were trying to buy it at 10 PM when youre closed!
