Now this place isnt the best of places they told me they didnt have what i was looking for and to go to ace hardware which is kindve a let down. All i needed was a bolt that was speccially fitted for my certain bike so ace hardware wasnt a viable option.

Huge thanks to all of Troy and the gang, helped me get the right utility vehicle, unfortunately it didnt fit on the U haul Id driven from 2 hrs away, even though it was a 6 ft wide trailer the loading gate is only 60 inches wide, they even offered to load it in with a forklift, which I wouldnt have been able to unload but they held on to it for me until I could get back several days later

The first time we were in here was in 2016 during a motorcycle meet. Since then, my friend has needed to replace a tire on two different trips. Both times they got us in and out quickly. Both times they have had a quality tire in stock. I live 5 hours from here and when I buy a new bike, Ill call here first.

We were base camping out of Montrose for motorcycle day trips in the area. One evening upon return, I picked up a piece of metal in the rear tire of my Honda Goldwing. It was after hours. They were scheduled to open at 9 Am the next morning. I called at 8:30 and someone answered. I explained my predicament and they said to come over and they would work me in. They were ready for me at 8:45 when I arrived, did paperwork and took the bike right in and had my tire replaced and back on the road in no time. Bike tire was a bit more than I might have paid elsewhere, but labor charge was reasonable. Appreciated the service and their willingness to get someone back on the road touring from out of state. I would recommend!

We were up from Texas on a trip through the San Juan mountains on our dirt bikes for a 3-day ride. 2nd day in Ouray, one of our bikes had a flat rear tire. We contacted Davis service center, who despite being booked solid for 2 weeks, fit us in to save our trip! We lost half a day, but the friendly folks at Davis service center were so accommodating and saved our trip! Thanks fellas!

Excellent Service! I was traveling and needed new tires. They squeezed me in for service early on a Friday morning before they were even officially open AND they were done in less than 1hr! What more could you ask. The parts and service people were all excellent, friendly, and knowledgeable. The coffee was (free) and it excellent too.

Great experience.I found a used bike they had listed on craigslist. I called and Troy was very helpful. I put down a small deposit over the phone, sent a check for the rest and they happily held the bike until I came through town a couple weeks later. The kicker was that I was coming through early, Troy was happy to meet me to get the bike at 7:30 am on his day off. Who does that?Bike was exactly as advertised.I essentially never leave reviews online, but I felt that this experience deserved recognition. Would recommend working with Troy without hesitation. Ive been doing business with Davis for at least 25 years. Im there 2 or more times every year. Ive always found everyone there friendly and helpful. Ive never been unhappy with anything they have done for me. I would highly recommend you check them out if you ever find yourself in need of any of their services.

This is the best motorcycle service center I have ever visited across Colorado and California. After some neglected maintenance bit me in the butt on a road trip, Davis took in my bike the literal minute they opened, got me out in under an hour, and charged me the same as a Denver dealership... Actually less, now that I think about it. Its difficult to describe the peace of mind and fun that I had because Davis was able to fix my mistakes cheaply, while being friendly and fast too. Everyone working here should be very proud at what theyre doing.

I got there before they opened. They took me right away, diagnosed the problem quickly, and performed a warranty service. All was complete before lunch. The staff was helpful, polite, and professional, and provided much needed local knowledge on where to ride.

Staff is friendly and always helpful. I showed up an hour before close and the service department was able to change both tires on my dr650 for me. I doubt this is something they do all the time so I greatly appreciate theyre ability to accommodate.

I go to Davis on a regular basis for this or that and granted they are way higher than youd expect, you have to remember that this is a pretty small town with limited services and retail especially for specialty stores like Davis. On the other hand you dont have to deal with incompetence and having to return parts because they gave you the wrong one like a lot of places. The staff there are all super friendly, knowledgeable and helpful even if you dont spend money or just want to look around,

The guys here saved my butt. I was passing through town on a trip and my forks were tweaked from my bike falling in a parking lot about 70 miles before I got to Montrose. I got there right as they were closing and asked if there was anything they could do. Jeremiah said he would stay late to help me out. The other two guys who stayed late are greatly appreciated as well. Super helpful, respectful, and professional.

They sold me the incorrect stems for a BMW wheel set, and I had to order them from another provider. Another shop located a good working universal valve stem at a more affordable price, while the parts guy here sold me stems for a Honda, and swore they would work, they did not. And when I considered buying tubes? Their tubes are almost 3 times the cost of the ones from online providers...the parts department has been suffering lately.

I got great service at a good price when I was visiting the area on my Yamaha Super Tenere. I recently ordered a new oil pan and gaskets from them after a minor mishap. Delivered to my door, in less than a week, Davis Service Center beat my local dealers price by 77.00. Easy to deal with. They know their stuff. Good prices. Hard to ask for more than that.

I was riding through Colorado from Canada when my motorcycle failed in Durango and I had it towed (110 miles -free with my AAA/CAA membership) to Davis in Montrose - just picked it out of the net as they were the closest Suzuki dealer. Arrived at 4:00pm on a Monday; they called in the mechanic who was on a day off, he analyzed the problem, ordered the stator and gasket from California, flew it in overnight and had the bike back together by 1:00PM the next day. All this for no more money than any other customer. These guys are lifesavers and miracle workers. While here, visit Teds Steakhouse down the road, too. Montrose rocks!

I came in with a lousy problem, and was on the road so I needed it fixed fast. The parts counter guys offered me several different solutions, had the parts and Wayne in Service cleared off a rack so Josh could fix it. Out the door a few hours later with a running bike. Cant ask for a better experience. Definitely recommended.

Great place to do business. We were in the middle of our CO cycle trip when I discovered my rear tire on my HD was bald with the cords showing. I showed up the next morning when the shop opened and explained my situation. They got me in first thing and put a new tire on; we were on the road again in just little over an hour. Really friendly staff and the service was great! More than I can say about the HD service dept. in Durango...

Lincoln the owner is a real jerk! DO NOT GO THERE! They will lie to you when they say they will sell you a quad and ship the financial documents to be signed to a relative out of state. They will waste weeks of your time when you are preapproved through Honda. When you call the owner to complain he just hangs up on you like a jackass!File a complaint with corporate American Honda I did!

Five star....I was up on Owl Creek Pass on last Saturday (June, 2014) and my rear tire failed. I popped out on Rt 50 approx 20 miles from Montrose. Got the phone number for Davis, they had the tire I was after, got me right in, changed the tire and had me on my way in 1 + 30 min....outstanding! Friendly, knowledgeable, excellent mechanics. Impressive facility, big...the service manager told me they specialize in fixing travellers on Saturday, and thats why they were able to get me in/out so quick. Fellow right in front of me was from Alabama, and he just got a new Dunlop Elite III for his Valkarie. He was a happy man!You will pay retail, not wholesale, so dont expect to get the Competition Accessory price on anything you buy there that they install. Recommend: Dont complain, smile and pay, and be secure in the knowledge that youre pretty close to the middle of nowhere and yet here is this wonderful shop with the tire that you need and the where withal to get you back on the road, tout de suite.Strongest possible endorsement.Tom from Colorado Springs.

On the way out to a long motorcycle trip, I had a few experienced motorcyclists tell me my rear tire wasnt going to go the distance. I called several shops in Montrose, CO, and chose Davis because they had the tires I liked and said they could get me in right away.There was another shop that could get me in right away, but he didnt have the tires I wanted if given the choice.After getting my bike to them, I waited while they worked on another bike. Now I knew his was before mine, but when told I could be gotten in right away, I figured they had more than one tech. Turns out they do, but the owner doesnt trust the other to work on sportbikes since hes new. 2 hours later my bike was up.My bike was next, and got done in a normal period of time for tires. About halfway through it I asked the service manager if he could cash me out so we could get on the road ASAP. He told me no, he had to wait until the service was done. This struck me as odd, but I couldnt really say a whole lot. Looking back its probably because he was scared about what Id say at his price.The bike got finished, and then came the bill. $648 for a pair of Michelin Pilot Road 3s installed. I kid you not. $648. And my wheels arent some crazy size, they are the same as every other literbike.So searching online I found the tires for an average of $340, less in some places but $340 was the norm. I called Lincoln Davis today, hes the owner. He was nice enough, but didnt flex on the price and stood by it. He tried to blame it on the $35 in taxes and $5 in tire recycling fee, but $610 is still ridiculous. After that, he told me he would send me a $40 gift card to his shop. So, by his words, $40 off would put his tire prices within $60 of his competitors, which he felt was reasonable. I dont agree that prices 20-33% higher than all of his competitors is reasonable.So Ive got a $40 gift card, which almost irritates me more because thats basically forcing me to spend more money at his shop, unless someone can find something useful there for $40 or less. And considering how his tires are priced $40 off anything above $40 is probably still considerably higher than Revzilla.I guess you live and you learn, hopefully others dont have to live it when going to Davis Service Center.
