Super friendly staff and excellent selection of beer. They have a wide variety of ales from OMB and other local and import breweries. They even have some strange beers like 10w40(usually an oil lol) and special seasonal blends as well. If you cant find what youre looking for in store they can usually get it! They have different hours right now so call before going to be sure theyre open.

Love this place! They have a vast assortment of craft beers both canned and on tap. They also have ciders and wine. The people who work there are super friendly and helpful.

Mooresville lacks for solid places to find good beer. Ultimate Ales easily has the best selection in town. Hands down. If youre looking for something, especially local, special releases they probably have it. Plus they typically have something pretty good on tap. Beware of the prices,though. If you want to drive to Charlotte you can get a four pack of a local beer for 10 to 12 bucks. At Ultimate Ales youll easily pay 4 to 6 per can. I understand bills have to be paid, but its a hard to swallow mark up. Also, Ive seen comments that the staff is friendly and helpful, but over my dozen visits thats never been my experience. I think Ive been addressed by a staff person once while I was there. I hate to say it, but the Lowes Foods across the street has a fairly decent selection at a much better price. Unless youre looking for something specifically harder to get, Id head over there.

Surprised this place is still in business- no personality from what I can only imagine is the owner. Was searching for a beer and asking questions- he didn’t even look up to acknowledge me. No welcome or a suggestion of an alternative option- not even a “good bye”- “have a great day”.

Great place to try some otherwise hard to find beers, or beers you would have to drive 1-2 hours to try. Only place I would recommend if you want to chill and drink some tasty beer.

Place was pleasant. Great atmosphere. Free popcorn, helpful service, and a fantastic selection of beers from across the country. Prices on the shelves seemed exceptionally steep, though. If I were local, Id definitely come again.

They always have the craft beer that I can’t find in stores and it is great! I also love coming here on Tuesdays for trivia with friends and family. Overall, it is a great place and I always try to bring people that never been since they don’t realize what they are missing out on!

Great beer shop. I almost said bottle shop but they also have 16 taps with something for everyone available. The staff is very knowledgeable and super helpful. The store does a really good job in making sure they have local beer available. They could do a little more to highlight what is local (both NC and Charlotte area breweries) but the staff is helpful in pointing them out. They carry a good mix of hard to find beers as well as beers that are readily available. I cant recommend this shop enough.

I stumbled upon this place by accident while trying to find late night pizza on a drive from Georgia to CT....thanks to The Salty Caper not adhering to their posted hours after driving a few miles off the interstate late at night, I saw this place next door with a few people sitting inside and ran in for a beer to ease my frustration. Got talking to Mark the owner and a few friends. If you are looking for a large selection of both local and GOOD beers, and someone who knows their stuff about beer and the industry, you need to go check this place out....lots of good draft lines, and multiple coolers and shelves lined with good craft beers from both near and far. Could not recommend this place enough whether you are local or just passing through. Looking forward to visiting again

Been going to UA since they opened...a great place to hang out and drink a huge selection of craft beers! Great bartenders, great prices, overall an awesome place. Thanks Mark for building a great business for us to all enjoy!

Wonderful people

Pretty good selection of cans and bottles. Relatively limited tap selection and they dont offer growlers/crowlers to be filled. The gentleman behind the counter did inform me that if I had brought my own vessel they would have been more than happy to fill it.

This is a great place to grab a beer in a relaxed atmosphere. They always have new beers on tap and they are all craft. You can also buy beer there, so you can take some home too.

The beer selection is top notch. The place has rotating taps...so there is something different all the time. Also, you can find something you like in the coolers or on the shelf to take home with you.

Cant say enough about Mark the owner, this is absolutely my favorite establishment in mooresville from the patrons to the service to the quality of beers available. Will always recommend and give the highest rating possible. 10/10 always!!!!! A must visit when anywhere near lake norman.

Great North Carolina beer selection in bottles and cans with a solid tap list. Will go back next time in town. Bartender was very knowledgeable and helpful.

I enjoyed the great selection of beer s on hand at Ultimate Ales. The owner is very friendly and knowledgeable and will let you sample the beers on tap that are available for growlers to go. Go ahead and ask for recommendations. You can even sit inside and drink your beer.
