A chance phone call with Joe and a next day visit with John at their beautiful showroom we knew we had found our boat. Danya facilitated excellent financing within hours. Folks we’re definitely not helpful. Went in to pick up a fuel pump for my boat. They were out of stock and a week out on shipping. I told the gentleman I would see if I could get one any faster so I could use my boat this weekend. I asked if he could give me the part number at which time he crumbled the paper up and said nope sure can’t (only boat shop that’s ever told me that). This will be my first and last visitNote to owner. You may have a different D smart in your system but I have never purchased anything from your establishment. Yes I have called and received part numbers for spark plugs or a simple rebuild kit with that knowledge being known before I even asked. You my friend should run a better establishment. For you to tell me that’s not what happened is essentially calling me a liar. My words are exactly what happened so you need to go watch that video again. I knew what your response would be to my post because I read each and every post you have made and apparently it is never the customers fault. I will take to social media with this matter and make you all well known

Great place to deal with. We drove 9 hours to trade in and pickup our new Skeeter ZXR20. I found the boat online and talked to Nathan and worked out a good deal with him through e-mails, very quick response to all my questions and concerns. I ordered a boat from Foothills and drove 8.5 hours from Indy to pick it up. They were great. Bill took good care of me on the phone and worked with me to reserve the boat that was already on order. When i arrived, they got me out 1/2 day early with the prepped boat so i could get my journey home started earlier and Brian did a very thorough job of going over the boat and the motor break-in procedure with me. Love the boat (Skeeter ZXR 21) and really enjoyed working with Foothills team. Id go 8.5 hours again .....

I recently purchased my first boat from Foothills Marine. I inquired all over the United States about bass boats and I was in a particular situation credit wise waiting for things to update. So needless to say out of 20 plus dealerships only Foothills and one other dealership which had zero bass boats in stock were understanding. From the start I worked with Darin, I told him my situation and I was just looking and needed to wait two weeks before purchasing. A week later Darin called me and informed me that the boat I wanted became available. It was the last one in stock unless I wanted to order one which would take a long time.I attempted financing through USAA which I’ll never do again, was denied. Darin had me speak to Tracy their finance person. She was great she submitted my application through the network of banks they use and I was approved with a few offers. Even with sub 700 credit they hooked me up. I set a up a time two weeks out to pick the boat up. Darin answered all questions I had and several phone calls and emails. Not once was he annoyed or rude, very professional.Three or so days before I was scheduled to drive down to Morganton North Carolina from Massachusetts The sales manager Bill contacted me and informed me Darin decided to peruse other opportunities and that he would be handling my sale.I contacted Bull before I left to head down the boat was ready as I was promised in the 2-3 weeks time frame. Upon arrival I was met by Bill who walked me over to my boat. It was better than I expected. I went to meet Tracy and did the paper work which took about 10 min. bull ram me through the boat and was extremely informative showed me the boat inside and out. Before I knew it I was on the road home.All the people that I worked with through the process were awesome. Nothing like buying a car much easier and not as stressful due to the excellent customer service.The fact I was willing to drive 1800 miles down and back shows they are on another level than other dealerships.They’re better than any other included Bass Pro who were complete jerks.Thanks guys for everything I’ll be trading up in a few years and will make the trip down!James

Ordered a brand new Sun Tracker pontoon boat and it was supposed to be in house by June. Well with these crazy times Sun Tracker thought differently and the Price I was told. Well I got a call from Nathan and he informed me of these changes. He said on a good note I have a Greyson on the premises and we can set it up like you wanted your Sun Tacker. I said lets do it... I got a much nicer boat at the price Sun Tracker changed to and it saved our summer plans. My granddaughter loves it... Thank you Nathan and everyone there... Service Department ... Been trying to get my boat worked on since March of this year and I was told they were backed up and not sure when they could get to it and for me to call back in a few months i did so several times then I called the end of November and finally got a call back from Charlie the first of December, 10 months to finally get an appointment, I told him my issues with the boat . Motor at times would trim down by itself and the tilt and trim switch would not work at front of boat and the one on the steering column would only go down and the fuel and speed display would not work on dash and before I walked out the door I asked them to check my hubs, This is where it gets good, I am 3 hours away form Morganton Charlie told me over the phone I could wait for the boat while they fixed it, I said are you sure and he said he had one of the best boat mechanics around and he could do it . so when I get there Charlie is out sick so I deal with Greg and I said instead of waiting at your dealership all day I will head to Cherokee NC to do some trout fishing and pick my boat up on the way back through well I got a call 3 hours later saying the would not have my boat fixed that day as promised so now Im going to have to drive another 6 hours plus the 3 hours to fish for a total of 15 hours of riding time to get boat fixed and a wasted day when they should have said bring and leave we will call you when we get it fixed .it gets better ... I get call the following day saying there is good news and bad news the good news is the fixed the trim switch at steering column loose connection and during there yearly service (THAT WAS NEVER ASKED FOR BY ME TO HAVE DONE ) That i have a worn drive belt that needs replaced and prop shaft needs to be replaced and all the wheel hubs need to be replaced and they changed all my fluids and then while Im waiting for them to bring my boat up to leave Greg comes out with my Prop in a box hands it to me in the parking lot and says they would have put it back on but it was missing a thrust washer I then ask if I could buy one from them and he said they did not have one would have to order it and they tell me they are the biggest Skeeter dealer in southeast . well then i get boat home check the fuel gages and it reads the same on both tanks as it did before . so my story is Drive 15 hours total get charged $183.19 to get a loose connect butt splice fixed and they did not even put prop back on handed to me to put on . I would not take a bicycle to get worked on there .

2020 suntracker party bargeI wont be bringing my boat back for any type of service or accessories . My phone call with Charlie was all good scheduling he seems to be upfront and honest as well as friendly . He quoted me $300-$400 to install an extra battery, speakers,fish finder and an oil change . I set an appointment with him to drop it off 3 weeks later and ended up doing my oil change myself to save the $160 he told me it would be in the $300-$400 quote . When I dropped off with I let them know and had some LED lights I requested them to install as well being two 20 ft stands down the sides of the pontoons and two 2 ft for the interior . I was told no big deal and left them the lights .... 1 week later I call to check on it and they tell me its ready but nobody had called me . Also no big deal even though its been raining and sitting out in the weather . When I get there they tell me that they couldnt install the light strips down the sides of the tunes because their was no where to mount them and I was understanding of that . Then comes the bill where you charged me more than double what I was quoted without being even called and notified of it .. So my total was $939 when I was told $300-$400! What if I wouldnt of had $939 for one and for two you werent even able to do everything it was dropped off for . Even on top of this when I went out to hook up the boat and take it home none of the electronic stuff worked in the boat that you guys just wired up . That made me feel great about the quality work I just payed for as well as I was told it was a relay and who knows if that was even the truth after being lied to on the price . The guy at the counter also said to when I arrived to pick it up Oh your the guy who bought this boat from Palmetto instead of us . You should have taken it to them for service I am in the customer service business/sales myself and what a terrible thing to say to someone bringing their boat to you . I planned on having you guys do all the service and anything with boat in the future but I will take it somewhere else and would even drive 2 hours to have Palmetto do my service and any other work needed . That comment made me feel even better about buying elsewhere even though the reason I bought from them was simply that when I was there looking the sales guy I had didnt even want to take the cover off a new boat for me to look at . As well as not having a party barge 18dlx with a 75hp in stock .. but had the guy asked me some questions and tried to sell me a boat that day maybe he would have found that out and you guys could have had one brought in . Overall I urge nobody to trust their price quotes and expect to pay more than double what they tell you upfront with no warning until your boat is done.

Hands down the best boat dealership around. Extremely professional, on top of their game, and the most attentive customer service I have experienced in any type of dealership. On top of everything else, I think they stock every dang bass boat that Skeeter makes.

They have no fishing supplies. Nothing, but boats, cant rate them on boats, thats a luxury I cant afford. Their fishing supplies advertisement is a lie. Would give them a 0 star on that.

Had a very good experience buying a new pontoon boat from Bill Hooper at Foothills Marine in Morganton. I thought both the price of the new boat and the offer for my trade-in were fair. Upon delivery, Bill was very thorough in explaining all of the features of the new boat. On 17 May 2019 I was out of state at a bass tournament on Chickamunga Lake Tennessee my Skeeter developed fuel vent system problem. Contacted foothills and spoke with Charlie he diagnosed the problem over the phone and walked me through a temporary fixed to this issue. I was able to return to the tournament and finish out the weekend with zero problems. I couldnt be more impressed and grateful to Charlie for helping me fixed this problem thanks for for your patience and professionalism thats why I have bought my last two bass boats from your company .

We just purchased a pre-owned boat from Foothills Marine. It was a great experience working with Brian!

Dropped my 2017 Carolina Skiff, which I purchased from Foothills Marine new in 2017, wrote them their listing fees check of $595. It took approximately 3 weeks to finally get it listed on their website. Had a few bites on boat, some low ballers. Got phone call on the Wednesday from finance man that he had a deposit on the boat with a offer to purchase of $36,300. After talking to him a few minutes was advised Id have to pay a 7% sales commission. The problem with this is my salesman that I had worked thedeal with waved the sales commission, because I was going to purchase a pontoon from Foothills Marine. I told the finance man this and he said they never wave that fee. Couple hours later a manager last name Davis called and after approximately 20 minutes on phone he agreed to honor my salesman deal which wasnt in writing but was a verbal agreement and has since left the business. The deal was the said offer with no commission and me getting back my equity. Davis said well call you when the check is ready. Ok, here we go, Davis called me back on Thursday 2/14 and said I need to run this deal by you so theres no surprise to you when you get here: your payoff is just over $35 so with me paying off your boat that leaves over $900 and we need to clean the boat and charge the batteries which will give you a slick deal. I responded by saying, slick deal means you are keepining all my equity, Davis said yes. I said no sir, not paying you over $900 dollars for that, Ill come get my boat. Davis said were not making any money on this deal, they got a check for $595 from me, wow I didnt get it back either. Davis then said when can you get your boat, I said by Saturday, Davis then said if your boat is here after Saturday youll be charged a daily storage fee.So over night he decided to take my little bit of equity that I had. Ive since been contacted by several people saying they were told I was been very difficult to deal with by the salesman name Bill. Forgive me for not wanting to give the boat away, Foothills Marine youll never ever see me on your property again. Had one email that said he is buying a brand new boat with a larger motor for $39, wow then I gave to much at Foothills Marine.I understand they are in the business to make money, but this is not the way to do it.Like you said there are always to sides to every story.D Hewitt
