Very knowledgeable and honest . He will talk to you about what you are looking for, and give advice . Straight forward about the condition of the ammo, and if its worth the price . My next visit to Morro Bay / Cayucose, Im definitely stopping by here again .
From word of mouth, I heard about Old but knowledgable gun shop owner in Morro Bay.I had two old hand guns (100 yrs old), I had purchased 30 to 40 years ago and wanted to know more about them and their value! The shop owner was gruff and was no nonsense, but he knew my relics on history and values! If you want to know just the facts from a business only, Old Codger. Hes the guy to go to, but dont get your feelings hurt by his less than friendly attitude!
This has always been a great brass tacks place. You can find some gems in there too.
Outstanding for old and rare things
I had a fantastic experience in this shop. I wish more people who work in bookstores had the vast knowledge and could help me find what Im searching for as well as Dave did. The owner of the shop, Dave, is a no-nonsense man who doesnt suffer fools or people who, basically, dont understand that this is a carefully curated lifetimes collection he has in this store. Its not Wal-Mart so please show some respect when you go in there.I had a great time, bought many books and some amazing hats, and learned a whole lot about all sorts of subjects.
Just spoke on the phone with the employee. Could he be the owner? He was very rude, and seemed to enjoy belittling the customer. Horrible attitude. Ill never go there.
Does this guy ever sell any guns? Hes a cool old guy to talk to, but he seems more interested in showing off his collection of antique bolt actions than actually making a sale. I have been checking this store out for about 2 decades and it seems like the inventory never changes.
The shop may be small but is amazing how many items are in there and owner is a wealth of information on all things pertaining to find. It was a pleasure to go there.
The owner is a walking encyclopedia of gun and weapons knowledge........ or for you younger generations, a walking Wikipedia....
