Reading the reviews for North Shore Faucets you can tell they know their stuff. They offer one-on-one service at the counter. They offered correct advice and supplied the correct parts. They even saved me money by offering graphite string to seal a valve ($4) as a posed to selling me a new valve that could have been $40. And it worked like a charm. Highly recommended.
Great shop for faucet supplies and more. The owner couldnt have been friendlier or more helpful. He helped me understand how to replace the cartridge in my bath faucet and saved me $$$ by not having to call a plumber. Highly recommended.
So walked in with my 60 year old faucet cartridges. Cutest girl ever behind the counter took one second and she know what I needed. I was like no way this beautiful woman was right I went with it. And 30 dollars later. Was walking out thinking wow she is beautiful. Went home faucet cartridge fit perfect. Just like this woman I’m totally impressed. Wow best place ever. Thanks made my day and will always recommend them ti everyone. Super cheep too the cost that is. Best place to go for plumbing needs. Wow beautiful women too.
Very friendly and knowledgeable. They always have what I need. Many times things that are not sold in the big box store.
Called B&K and was recommended by them to give them a call. I called and was told they did not have the part in stock, fine, what was not fine the woman quoted me a price for vacuum breakers $1.20 above the list price. Will not shop there again.
Great place, very knowledgeable staff. I picked the wrong cartridge for my spigot but the gentleman behind the counter corrected me and showed me my options. Project well done! Thank you.
This Shop is the best in town. I purchased multiple faucet adapters and the quality is very high. The prices are very good. The staff are really nice, friendly and helpful.
They are very professional people and very friendly. Excellent customers service. I like to give them 10 stars.
I am a niche handyman, and I do as little plumbing as possible. Swap a shower head, or swap a flapper inside a toilet tank is about as much plumbing as I do for clients (OK, swapped a wax ring on one of my toilets, but I don’t do that for clients).I have a pull and turn single knob water control for my shower. The handle was rattling and it was difficult to control the flow. I knew it was broken, tried Menards…no help.Aaron explained my issue when I bought in the bad handle that I removed, he explained I needed to remove a part that was broken off the handle and sitting on the stem. Sold me a replacement knob, and the situation is resolved, saving me over $100 had I hired a licensed plumber to come out and do this simple thing. Thanks Aaron!
I needed a 4 inch stem for my garden faucet. I did not know where to buy. Called B&K and was told to give North Shore Faucet a call and that the price of a stem was 31.66. I called North Shore faucet and was given a price of 44.64 by Aron. I told him will think about it. Price gouging is a big turn off for me. Will buy somewhere else
Natalya was terrific. Helped me solve my bath tub problems with the right parts. These folks are great. Will shop there again.
They were extremely helpful and nice. Found a part that way really glad to find. Stop going too the big box stores for plumbing needs.
The owner was VERY helpful. Not only did he find the right item for me, but he also saved me a lot of money on overnight shipping. He really got me out of a bind. I would definitely do business with him again!
Very knowledgeable staff. This is a great place to go for hard to find parts or if you are looking for plumbing help. But be prepared to wait when you go here. It is because they provide great customer support to everyone. They will make sure you have all the right parts and answer all your questions. The only downside is the pricing may be higher than other places. But worth it if you need assistance.
The best! Always helpful. Always find exactly what I need.
Maksim was amazing to deal with in helping to get me a hard to find part for my Grohe shower. Part arrived quickly and In perfect condition. Highly recommend.
Way over priced. I called about 2 Kohler parts that I needed for my faucet. The lady on the phone quoted me $5 for 22325. I was not about to pay $10 for a part that cost $1.50. Total RIP off
This place is a gem! After several trips to Home Depot and Menards to find the right cartridge for my shower handle, I went here. It was a discontinued item but they took one look and new exactly what it was and had me on my way. Very helpful!
I so appreciate the advice and patience of the folks at North Shore Faucets (and they have a LOT more than faucets). They helped diagnose the issue, provided great suggestions, helped me balance cost and quality, and were just super attentive. Support local businesses. We need them and they need us!
I was very grateful to reach someone on the phone at North Shore Faucets as I had an emergency. I needed an escutcheon shipped to my home quickly and was very impressed with the outstanding customer service. North Shore Faucets immediately understood my issue, and was meticulous at getting the correct information. The part arrived within 1 business day and I have a beautiful bathroom faucet. I was particularly pleased that they handled this at the end of their business day and still took the time to make sure it shipped right away. Thank you North Shore Faucets for all the great work that you do!
Stopped by for some parts and was not disappointed. They truly have all the parts in stock. Service and prices are the only reasons I am giving it a 1 star review.Service is great only if you have no job to get to. Both the lady and the elder gentleman take their time to explain things, which is great. But once the phone rings, they pick it up and take just as long to explain things as with the customers who are physically in the store. I had to wait 15 minutes for my turn and then when it was my turn the phone rang and the older gentleman picked it up while he was helping me, he answered the phone in total of 3 times. Because of this, the 5 minute or so explanation took almost 30 minutes with all the interruptions. In all to get 1 part took over 40 minutes.I ended up buying a Danze Cartridge for almost 94 with tax. After installing the cartridge and few weeks later I was at Lowes and saw that it was priced at $58. Upon googling some more, I found that the list price is $60. I paid way over priced! Please hire someone to answer the phones. And please charge list prices for the products or at least at the discounted prices. Until you do so, I will not shop with you again. After all, who has 40 minutes to get 1 part and who likes to be overcharged?
Extremely nice and professional..willing to help and brianstorm.
Professional seller she helped me in 1 minute to resolve my problem excellent service
Great service. They really know their stuff. They have everything you need for any plumbing project.
What can I say about this place that has not been shared by others. I called in with a part that I needed for my faucet. A Russian gentleman, Max I believe, picked-up the phone. He walked me through in finding the right part by googling the schematic of a faucet, locating the right part, and advising me to buy the additional tool to remove my Moen cartridge. When I arrived to the store, an older gentleman, Aaron I think, showed me how to use the tool on the cartridge I was buying.Over all, great experience and very knowledgeable staff.
A relative beginner who will try the DIY approach, I had to replace an old faucet cartridge. After trying my local hardware store and a big box retailer, I went to North Shore Faucet. It helped that both places recommended I go to NSF. I found Natalia and Aaron to be patient and knowledgeable. They stayed “after hours” to make sure I had the best part for my job. And still, they explained, it may not fit flush. Sure enough, upon buying the $40 cartridge and going home to install, there were two issues. The cartridge needed to be ground down about a quarter inch to allow for the handle to sit flush and the center hole of the handle required some widening to accept the new screw size. So, a second trip to explain my dilemma and determine a fix. Aaron did all the grinding work within minutes and would not charge me. All in all, I probably took 90 minutes of their time for a $40 sale and I learned a ton. Also learned how to fix the sink stopper while there. Aaron and Natalia clearly love their work and love to help others. Would go back, and recommend them, without reservation.
If you need hard to find and bot so hard to find parts for your old or new fixtures, North Shore Faucets, is a place for you. Come for the education, but beware of the prices. The Good:The owner, Aaron, is very knowledgeable in the plumbing matters. He could easily, if he wanted, become a master teacher or a professor at a technical school or college. He not only explains, but also draws a diagram to show how the parts fit. He then patiently showed me how to install the valve I needed to buy.The manager, Natalia, is likewise knowledgeable and everytime Aaron wanted a part for the demonstration, she had it ready for him without him asking her.On the way out, Max, thank me for coming in and keeping the store in mind during this trying times. The Bad:The prices. They charge above the list prices not just on my purchase, but when calling in about parts the prices they give is still above suggested retail price. On one of the items I purchased: 188-187, the list price of that items according to the manufacturer is $12.35, I was charged $17.44. That is $5.09 increase from the list price. I noticed other customers complain about the price deficiencies and so far I do not think they addressed the issue.Over all:Great place to beef up your knowledge on plumbing or items. Beware of the prices. If Aaron does not explain and you just buy the part you need, then you will fill ripped off. So, if you are buying a part that is above list price, make sure Aaron and Natalia explain how the part is used. How do you know if they are charging above the list price, search the internet.
The staff at North Shore Faucets are nothing short of amazing. Today I had a unique issue where I needed a replacement hose for my kitchen faucet and I couldnt get a part same day anywhere to solve my issue. They were able to take a similar hose from the same manufacturer, salvage the important piece from the old hose and retrofit it to the new hose so I could go home and fix my faucet. 10/10 would recommend for their skills and customer service.
Excelent customer service. Erik thank you for your kind support and expertise !
I needed an unusual part no one had, took it in and Aaron helped me. Told me me what I needed, had it in stock, and did everything but give me a slap on the back to get started. I wont go anywhere else. Great knowledge.
I have never written a review before. I am compelled to do so now. There is one word to describe this business, the word Crooks, comes to mind. I stopped by the store to purchase a Moen part 140900. The lady at the counter told me that the price of the item was $32. Imagine my shock when I discovered the part was only listed as $9.95 on the Moen website. To price gouge during a pandemic is at best pathetic and at worst criminal. My warning to you is to check the price of an item on the manufacturers site before shopping at North Shore Faucets.I also noticed one reviewer also wrote about price gouging at the store and they blamed it on IT issues, I am guessing they will do so again.
While trying to reposition and tighten our Hansgrohe bathroom faucet, the nut came off loose on the connection hose and the tiny brass fitting went missing. I didnt know what this brass fitting is called so I couldnt find it online. The connection hose is tightened way inside the faucet unit so there was no way for me to loosen that either to replace. I first tried Home Depot. Then went to Banner also with no success but a gentleman there referred me to Just Faucets in Arlington Hts and North Shore. I first went to JF since it was close from me and the older man there takes a look at it and says, theres absolutely nothing that can be done and the hose cannot be removed. Frustrated and thinking I should just buy a whole new unit, I decided to take a long ride to give Northsore a try as a last resort. Aaron (president) takes one look, brings me the brass fitting (I learned that its called ferrules)! Cost me only a $1 or so too! This place looks well equipped & establised and I have no doubt that Aaron is well knowledged and experienced. I HIGHLY recommend this place!
Yesterday, I needed some gaskets for my Toto Toilets. I called Toto to find out which gaskets I needed for my toilet and their prices. Living next to a local plumbing store, I headed out there. When I arrived the lady at the register said $8. On their website it said $3.95. She let me have it for the website price. However, their cost is $4 according to Toto. They are ripping off the customers. I have called Toto to complain. Oh, and the kicker, this morning I checked the price and it was $5.25. Shopper be ware.
No retailer ON THE PLANET could find the discontinued part I needed, save for North Shore Faucets. These folks cut my costs in half. I got exactly what I needed. On time.Wed looked for hours, in town and online, and Id nearly ordered an entire toilet tank just so I could replace a broken lid. Finally, we discovered these guys. I did a quick check to guarantee this wasnt a fake storefront - theyve got a brick-and-mortar location in Illinois - and placed the order.I called when I noticed that they hadnt sent me a shipping confirmation in ten business days. I got some of the fastest customer service Ive ever had over the phone. They immediately recognized my order, gave me an update, and had the part delivered to me on schedule.I only wish Id found them sooner!
Stop going to big box for your plumbing needs. This is old school spot on. I have had three different experiences where I am running big box to big box searching for my old plumbing and would strike out. Go to North Shore and amazing they have what I need! If they were only a little closer to the house.
THE BEST AROUND!!!!!!!!! If they cant get it no one has it. I love this place❤ Ive been a customer of North Shore Faucet from 2002. At Sandmanplumbing this is the place we recommend if you live with in an hour drive. All I can say is THANK YOU FOR ALL THE WONDERFUL SERVICE!!!!!!!!
Great selection! Crafty and knowledgeable owners!
Simon K. has a different age and a different number of years experience every time I go in there! If you try explaining something to him he gets very offended. Sometimes he throws parts at you and you know they are not the OEM just by looking at them. While he claims to be an old school plumber! A very thick accent but understandable if you are a patient person like myself. Sir Simon is NOT always Right! Aaron on the other hand is VERY HELPFUL but not always there. Be ware of return policy. I had a gasket go bad Simon Sore was discontinued and not made. I did find it elsewhere and was shocked it was not stocked there.
Great service! They were very knowledgable with faucet related products. They knew what I needed just by looking at my old faucet piece. I bought the correct faucet stems to replace the incorrect ones that were installed. Also, I ordered faucet handles to go with the stems. They werent in stock, but I received a call in less than week that they had the items in stock & were ready for pick-up. They dont have every single item in stock, so if you plan on ordering from them, be patient as it may take longer.
The man help me lube my old tub faucet so i dont have to get a new one. Very honest. 👍
Ended up not needing to buy anything. Simple bit of knowledge shared and I was able to fix a loose shower handle in a jiffy.
Called ahead to ensure they had the part I needed and then drove an hour to get there. Didnt have the part and I wasted a half-day. Should have just found an online retailer.
This place is the absolute best !If you need it they got it and if they don’t got it they can get it for you.
Very knowledgable staff. They were able to identify AND procure a cartridge for my old Jacuzzi faucet.
Return policy sucks. 25% restocking on every item, so be careful when buying here!
This store in over priced. Purchased a Kohler part and come to discover that I over paid by $3.00. I have already installed the part and do not want to redo my work. Will never shop here again.
The best place to find everything you need for your plumbing project.
Menards recommended this store as they carry most of all faucet parts that you cannot find in normal franchise storesThey are very knowledgeable with the products. They customize an offshelf product to my old faucet specs. Friendly family.
Aaron knows his stuff. Always a pleasure.
Best service in Chicagoland. Be sure to check it out. Extremely happy customer.
North Shore Faucet came through in a big way helping me to fix my broken shower faucet, providing me with a critical part that the big box stores simply dont carry. Thank you!!!
I highly recommend North Shore Faucets. The staff is very friendly and highly knowledgeable. They helped repair by broken bathroom faucet within a matter of minutes. The parts were in stock and they even helped assemble the broken valve. It saved me from buying an expensive new faucet assembly. Thank you NSF.
I came in with an unknown tub faucet cartridge and Aaron knew the exact make and model just looking at it. He set me up with new ones for a reasonable price and was also very helpful and knowledgeable when I called back later with other questions.
Fantastic service and great prices. Highest quality all around.
Great service great staff the front disk amazing service Natalia she just looked at my old Faust got me parts in no time great guys
Great plumbing parts store. Learned a lot.
Horrible seller. They charged me two months after the order was placed), the item received was not new and had obvious signs of used, they never responded to RMA request, i called them several times and was always put on hold forever. Avoid these crooks at all cost.
Great staff.Very helpful!!!!
Tremendous and knowledgeable service.Thanks
Knowledgeable, stocked
