What a gem Vintage Optical is! I recently had my first visit and could not have been more impressed. The entire team is focused on maintaining eye health in their community, while serving each individual patient with care and respect. Miss Lynne did a fabulous job establishing a rapport and making me feel comfortable, then Dr. Velting conducted the most thorough eye exam I’ve ever received. (And considering my first visit to an optometrist was nearly thirty years ago, that’s saying something!) Vintage Optical provides the perfect combination of kindness and medical knowledge. I’m incredibly grateful to be their newest patient!

Sue has helped choose the best frames time and time again--always knowing exactly what Im looking for. And I especially appreciated the way Dr. Velting worked with me after cataract surgery to find the perfect correction to smooth my transition to monovision. Their inventory is vast, the doctors are friendly and well-trained and their covid protocol is better than any medical facility Ive visited since March.

My child had her very first eye exam done at Vintage Optical. She had that common, initial fear of not knowing what to expect. The staff was WONDERFUL, and they made her feel so comfortable! I had very little wait time, if any. I’m just so pleased with the professionalism, care, and quality eye exam. Not to mention, they listened to her and interacted with her in a way that made her feel at ease with no fear!

The doctor and technician were amazing. They were patient, explained everything that was going on, and very friendly.However the woman that was helping me with frames was incredibly pushy and disrespectful. I told her what I was and wasn’t interested in and she kept trying to force what she thought looked good. We ended up purchasing the frames elsewhere.On top of that, they accidentally canceled my mother’s appointment at some point and it has been pushed back over a month due to the employee’s error.Some of the workers are amazing but that one person ruined the experience and upset both my mother and I.

I am very confident is Dr Veltings care of my eyes. I always get stylish glasses. Love this office!

After a visit and purchase at a chain Optical place, I was still struggling with my vision and my new glasses hurt to wear. I decided to go to Vintage Optical and got wonderful service. I now have comfortable glasses and contact lenses that I can actually see through! They worked with me to get everything right.

I was brand new to going to the eye doctor, but after spending 8 hours staring at a computer every day was taking a toll on my vision, I knew it was time for glasses. I chose this office because of its proximity to where I worked at the time, but I now recommend them to all my friends! The staff is so incredibly kind and knowledgeable and even helped me pick out the most beautiful frames for my face. When I returned for problems I was having with dry eyes, Dr. Velting provided me with several options for treatment and Ive been able to keep the problem manageable ever since. I no longer work nearby, but I still plan on returning to Vintage for all my future eye care needs! Highly recommend!

The lady who helped me get my glasses was very patient and helpful!! She spent a lot of time on two different days helping me with different frames, giving her suggestions and waiting to make sure I was satisfied with the new frames!

I was referred to Vintage Optical by some friends. I have received quality eye exams and feel that the Drs care about me. The frames on display and tried on first are usually in a higher price bracket than I want to pay, but if I ask specifically they can find a few options. Their lens vendor is top-quality and you pay for it- but for my vision needs, its worth it.

Vintage Optical is a first class customer service vision care business. Dr. Sommers really cares about his patients and takes the time to make sure their needs are met regarding their vision and always asks if you have any questions. If you do have questions, goes out of his way to answer them and makes sure you understand what he is saying. The office staff is first rate as well, and goes above and beyond to make sure your customers have the frames that fit their style and personality and that the customer likes them. They also try to help the customers save money by staying within their budget when making contact and frame purchases.

This business has an awesome staff. I tried another place last time I got glasses, but returned to Vintage. Even though Vintage is more expensive, I know Im getting quality service and products and the staff is friendly.
