For a year and a half Ive heard their furnace exhaust from across the lake inside my closed-up house at night and have regularly lost sleep. At times its so loud that its impossible to drown it out with anything. Not sure who thought it would be a good idea to face the exhaust out towards the lake with an entire neighborhood built in the late 40s on the other side. Thanks for making it just quiet enough to not hear through my windows for like 2 months. But as of 7/28/19 its returned. In trying to report this I found that:a) Special privileges are given for noise to businesses. Im unable to file a normal noise complaint because the enforcement is handled through a separate process.b) This separate process involves playing phone tag with those who handle business licenses and never hearing back.c)Why does the citizen have to go through an extra process and a separate channel to protect their rights? A citizen can be told that night to turn off noise thats keeping others awake but a business is able to violate your ability to sleep and the citizen is stuck dealing while those with the power to enforce take their time.EDIT: Today is 8/6/19 and I am currently up at 4AM due to hearing their furnace inside my closed up house with earplugs.EDIT 8/18/19: They sure love running it during the night on weekends. Im sitting here at 5:30AM on a Sunday instead of sleeping. Thanks a**holes. Are their sound testers really that good or are they just refusing to use it on their own equipment?EDIT 9/12/19: 3AM and I can hear their grindy bearings in the fans from across the lake inside my house. Waited a month and a half after talking to those given the power to enforce noise pollution laws to be told sound travels in a straight line, and the person checking it out didnt even go to our area.THIS SOUND IS A PUBLIC NUISANCE according to 8.28.020 and violates municipal code 18.03.030AFTER 2 YEARS I AM DONE
