Gave them $630 to clean, resurface, work the valves, and install stems seals on the head. They also cleaned the block, bored it 0.020 over, and put the short block together. After 2 weeks they said they were done. My wife picked them up, and I inspected the head after getting off work. The head was cracked from the cylinder 4 exhaust valve to the spark plug hole, just above a water jacket. I took the head back on Monday and they said it was fine, to just run it. Still skeptical I checked with a borescope and found that the crack was all the way through to the water jacket. This would explain why my #4 cylinder had rust. I called and asked if theyd be prepared to pay for the engine if I ran the head on it, and they didnt seem to like that. Instead they just tried to get me to purchase a new head from them or have my spare reworked. After they didnt even mention this crack, or inspect it fully I would not trust their work again. I was hung up on twice. After calling back the last time I stated I wanted a refund. The owner of the company said I would be given nothing, and if I showed back up he would put something between my eyes.

Disappointed. My husband has purchased several motors over the years from them. This has always been THE Best place to go to have a motor built. But this time we and several others can hear lifters tapping and they at Knico say they do not. Then accused my husband of having trash under valve covers. ANYONE who knows my husband knows how particular he is with his vehicles. We are so disappointed. Don’t know what is going on with customer service lately or people standing behind their products/warranty. But just be warned. Be blessed. Remember God is always good......

Sent in my 2017 Silverado Engine for a rebuild and upon first startup of installing in my truck engine grenaded... Took it back and was told it was my fault. Avoid at all costs...

Knico rebuilt a 351w with 69 heads, an 84 block bored 60 over, with comp cam 260/260. I used a vacuum gauge to dial timing and carb in. The most powerful/torque 351w I have owned. Runs 180 degrees cool, good idle and improved fuel milage The last motor they rebuilt me lasted 17 years. Good people to deal with.

Rodney and his men at Top Notch in Cairo replaced the motor in my 2000 Jeep Wrangler. Knico in Moultrie rebuilt the motor. 1000 miles into the new motor and I could not be more pleased with the whole experience. Top Notch did a great job going above and beyond on several things they encountered during the rebuild and the knico motor is running GREAT. Knico also did a great job coordinating the rebuild with Top Notch. Thanks Top Notch and Knico!!!

Got my 5.4 sohc rebuilt there last October after dropping a valve in the factory engine, since then my engine is running smoother then it did from factory and I have yet to run into any issues after 15,000 miles. At the time they were pretty easy to deal with and they had my motor rebuilt within a week (5days). I’d recommend them compared to any of the machine shops in Tallahassee.
