Great restaurant here in Muncie! They have impressive shelves full of books, extremely kind employees, and endless great times to be had! I love the Hatchet flatbread and am really excited to try more things on there menu soon. There are even board games here to play, live music, awesome 21+ drink options, and WiFi ;)

They have phenomenal beer, food, and people. Also books. If you aren’t there right now you need to be. If you are here and you’re reading this why are you on your phone? This place deserves way more love than it gets.

We were hoping to find a place where we could enjoy bar food, beer, and an atmosphere that didnt include a lot of Trumpians.The food was was terrible and served in Styrofoam containers while the bartender wore a Save the Planet shirt. Then there was the bill. Two beers, tasteless grilled ham and cheese with stale potato chips, and some sort of flatbread slathered in BBQ sauce, cost us $32.00. The atmosphere was industrial and cold. I mean it. Cold. You have to wear your coat to stay warm. No one at the bar wanted to engage in conversation, not the customers or staff. Cold.We will not return.

Highly recommend, easily the best place in Muncie to find the weird craft beers your heart desires. You can buy singles here which is a huge plus. That way you can try all the things.

Chicken sandwich for the soul is literally to die for! All kinds of interesting beer and the server even gave me a free sample of Charlie and the chocolate stout! I work next door to this establishment and I’m happy to have such friendly and awesome neighbors. Keep going strong!

If you like service this probably isnt the place to go. Four of us are sitting here with empty glasses and the two gentleman are just standing at the end of the bar talking to their friends. No one at any table had been bussed the whole night. Everyone had to come up to the bar. Its a busy trivia night. I had to walk to the cooler to get my own cider. THEN they charged me and then left us alone for another 40 minutes. Other tables were laughing and commenting on how poor the service was. Its a trivia night like dont you guys want to make money when there is money to be made. Also, pretzels are seven dollars lol.

Real good beer, really nice staff! When theres not a pandemic there are shelves of games you can play with friends and you can read the books on the shelves. They even have little selling days (think farmers market) and other events like live music.

This has become my favorite new hangout in Muncie. I love meeting family and friends here to hangout, play games, and have a few drinks. The staff is super friendly! My only issue with this place is the price of the food and the portions you get for the price. Most dishes average $8-$9, but they have others that are $13-$15 and are not worth the money for what they are. Would be 5 stars if the food was cheaper.

Great atmosphere, tasty beer (I had the chocolate milk stout), huge selection of books and board games, awesome live music. Highly recommend for hanging out. Dont expect a ton of substantive dinner options, though, aside from sandwiches, meat and cheese platters, and flat bread dishes.

Atmosphere is great. People are great. I am disappointed though that they changed their menu so much that they only have one decent vegan/vegetarian option. They used to have so many great food options.

One of the best places Ive ever eaten at! Staff was wonderfully kind and welcoming, atmosphere was laid back and relaxing (almost like a home vibe), and the food was EXTRAORDINARY! I definitely recommend the Tempest if youre fond of grilled cheese.

First time here at Books and Brews. Its so casual. The music is awesome, you can read while having a drink and it is different from most bars.Ill be here for the next 2 Thursdays! Come out, have a drink, get some food and enjoy yourselves

Great place to hang with friends or enjoy by yourself. Excellent sandwiches, I highly recommend the tempest if you like veggies. The staff is very friendly. They have books and board games for your entertainment. Will come here again and again :)

This is a great alternative to the average bar. They have good beer and food. They also have books!

Seriously need to work on costumer service. Gor a drink and menu right away but never came back to get my food order. Too busy eating and on her phone and the cook was standing right by me talking to a friend. I sat with my glass empty for about 15 minutes before he even asked if I need another one. Highly doubtful that I will be back anytime soon.
