Worst sales experience ever. They barely have any pick up trucks for sale and their sales man should not be in that field. Went to buy a new Pick up truck, asked about getting wheels changed to something more all terrain so I could drive it home the same day, and was told he couldn’t do anything, not even offered to talk to his manager about offering other options. So we walked away, went across the street to the FORD dealership and we left with a brand new F-150 loaded and getting new all terrain tires less than 3 days later. We will never be back at this dealer for any new vehicle. I’ll go to Stoops down the road and get a GMC before I buy a Chevy from this dealership.
Always have my vehicles serviced here. All the guys in the service department are great people and extremely professional. Just purchased a new suburban yesterday - sales department and finance department was so easy to deal with and talk to. Actually made spending money fun! Appreciate the great services.
I had to extend my lease due to the chip issue. I was excited when I got the call from Alexis Clark that 2 Traverses were in. She was able to make an appointment for me with salesman, Anthony. Anthony was so patient with my 1001 questions (lol) and answered every one. He did an awesome job by keeping my lease payments within my budget!! What I appreciate more is Anthony called to make sure everything was fine with my new vehicle. Alexis and Anthony both deserve a GOLD star for their EXCELLENT service!!
1st-time service on my new Blazer got an appointment 1st time I called. I was in and out, everyone was friendly and wanted to know if I had any questions, my only thoughts were where are the donuts! lol
Everyone at American is so nice and helpful. I have been going there for years and it is so nice to walk into a place and have so many people know you by name and speak to you. Brian in service is great. He kept me posted on my repair and let me know exactly what was involved in the process. Grant, the technician, said my repair would take 45 minutes and true to his word, it was ready in 45 minutes. Ive never had a tech be so on the nose with an estimated time before. Great job American!
The employees are so courteous and accommodating when I come to get my Acadia serviced. I prefer the American Chevrolet to the local GMC dealer. Ive used the shuttle several times and they are always pleasant and have been one time to picking me up. The service is always timely and when I have had a issues with something they always work it out and find the problem.
The team was extremely friendly and answered all questions I had. The courtesy shuttle was a good experience as well.
I walked in one day because I knew I wanted a Trail Blazer. The color I wanted wouldn’t be in for a while but Lee took my information and said he’d call me if one came in. A month later the exact car I wanted came in and Lee called. I came in that evening and Blake Absher took such good care of me. Everyone says always have a man with you while buying a car but I didn’t and chose to go by myself and I truly feel they didn’t take advantage of that. Blake negotiated with me on the price and was so thorough explaining everything. I didn’t come in contact with a single person who didn’t feel genuine. My entire family buys Chevy and I will make sure we only go to American from now on.

Bought a used car from here, and have had many issues/ bad customer service since. Go somewhere else. Would give it a zero if I could.The first issue was a tire pressure light, which I attributed to the weather(bought in February). Since then, the front two tires will fall to ~30 psi after a week of having them filled. Upon inspection, I noticed that the sidewalls, and some of the tread was dry rotting.The next issue was the battery. I noticed after I bought the car, that it was a bit slower to start up, but attributed that to it being cold, and that since it was a new to me car, figured it was normal. However, I later got stuck in a parking lot as the battery on the car had died. Upon removing the battery, I realized the battery terminals were badly corroded. Upon taking the battery to the local parts store, I was told the CCA(cold cranking amps) on the battery was wrong and that the battery was damaged.When I called and talked to someone there, they told me that since the tires passed the tread test, they were fine to be sold on the car. I mentioned the battery, and they said since I had replaced the battery, they wouldn’t do anything and that I bought the car as-is. At the beginning of the conversation, I was told I should have brought the issues up much sooner, and not now, as though I was to blame for the battery not dying faster, and the tires for not deteriorating faster. I was also told at the beginning that the car was inspected very well. If the car was inspected, they would have noticed the damaged/wrong battery, as well as the dry rotting tires.Overall, won’t be spending any money on service or coming back, much less recommending them. Save yourself the headache and buy somewhere else.
From start to finish, this was the BEST experience I could have asked for. Everyone I spoke to and worked with was extremely welcoming and friendly, and all of the questions I asked were answered with directness. My previous experiences at other dealerships were less than ideal, so I honestly came in with fairly low expectations, but the team at American blew my expectations out of the water. Thank you!

We drove from Dayton about a specific truck. When we got there it was ready to test drive. Buying it was fast and easy. Everyone we met was helpful and friendly. If it wasnt so far we would return for maintenance.

I came in last Wednesday to get my 2016 Chevy Silverado looked at due to an alarming, life threatening situation I encountered on my drive up from Salem, VA. I spoke to the representative, Aaron Pohl and explained in great detail what was happening with my truck. (My Stabilitrak came on, my engine turned off and my steering wheel locked up while I was going 70 mph down the road). He stated that there would be several things he needs to look at and I told him to take his time, test drive it and see if he can diagnose it. Sure enough, he came out to the waiting room 20 minutes later and stated that my O2 sensor needed to be replaced. I asked him if that would fix the Stabilitrak and truck turning off mid-drive and he assured me it would. I agreed to pay the $238 it took to get the truck back in a safe driving condition. I was able to pick my truck up 30 minutes later and was on the road. While driving back down, the truck acted in the same way as before. Turned off mid drive down the highway and stabikitrak came on. I called and requested to speak with Aaron but he could not be reached. I spoke with the GM, Ted Ryman and he stated that (long story short) this is a “he said she said” situation and he would have to consult Aaron about it. I explained to him that I am active duty navy and live by honor, courage and commitment. I do not lie. What Aaron put in his report, was an absolute lie. He stated that “customer states the SES light comes in at random and the vehicle feels like it is misfiring”. This is completely false. At the time I signed this service agreement, I believed “SES” meant the Stabilitrak, not Check engine light. I had witnesses all around me that can account for what I really told Aaron. I asked Ted to handle it at his level and refund me for the work because 1. It is not even what I stated was “wrong” with the vehicle and 2. He stated that fixing the O2 sensor would fix my problem, and it did not. I am simply asking for a refund so I can go back to the Chevy near me and put that same money down to get my truck re-examined and back in a safe driving condition. It has been a week (tomorrow) since I talked to Ted and have not heard from him or anyone since. This is very unfortunate and upsetting, as I came in as an honest, concerned customer while Aaron went and lied on his report to make a quick buck. I will not recommend this branch to anyone, ever. And will be sure to file a formal complaint unless I can get this issue resolved.

Surprised that work ticket said.. wouldnt start. I got to Am Chev without jump start. Was told Am Chev charges $100. for diagnostics to determine reason besides battery age as factor. Likely sells more batteries. This is included at car parts stores. Seems odd that first price quote for incorrect larger battery was what I was charged for smaller battery/engine combination. Work took longer than my own labor at home. Does American Chevrolet REALLY need a photo Of me? I didnt receive a photo of my mechanic. Would have appreciated OJT on returning seat position to my liking. Disconnecting battery @ home didnt present that problem.

We have 2019 Traverse. When you put it in park it would not recognize it. Our warranty covered it. This was a known problem with the Traverse. Wish someone would have let us/everyone know about this problem before it actually needed fixed. Recall?? Anyway everyone was very helpful when we called for an appt & picked it up.

I brought my Impala in because of a whining sound coming from the rear-end of the vehicle. Aaron Pohl test drove the vehicle and determined that it was a bad wheel bearing. Actually, both rear bearings were going bad and they were both replaced. The service was done in a timely manner. Aaron was very informative about what needed to be done and the cost of the repairs. I will definitely ask for Aaron when I need any service on my vehicles.

The whole $100 fee for diagnosis is a joke. I will actively promote to go to the local shops first. When an exhaust was quoted at $900 and I can go locally to an exhaust expert for $200. There is a problem. I’m now looking to purchase my new Escalade elsewhere.

I Just wanted to take the time to thank Blake Asher and American Chevy for working hard and staying late to get my deal done! I came in on Saturday around 3 Pm knowing that they were closing soon and didn’t expect to leave with anything. I met with Blake who was waiting for me on my arrival, Blake walked the lot with me and I picked out a few trucks I liked and he explained some of the differences (mostly features) and I decided on the one I wanted. Completed the test drive and Blake and I had made a deal! The guys in the finance department went to work, they stayed late to get everything all done. This was the first brand new truck I have ever leased although I have bought many cars over the years. Blake took the time to answer all of my questions and concerns and never tried to push me one way or the other and gave me all the time I needed to make my decision. When I came to the dealership, I knew that there was a light on my dash. I didnt know the significance of the light. I assumed someone would tell me when I came to have my car serviced (oil change, tires rotated.) When I picked up my vehicle, I noticed the light was still on. I drove back into the service bay area and asked about the light. I was told this was the check engine light. Since I hadnt told them to check it, they didnt. Since doing so might involve more time and money. Are you kidding me?? First of all, I didnt know it was a check engine light. By the way, I think it was Aaron who used a device to turn the light off and told me if it came on again, to come back in and they would look at it. (the engine.) We had just returned from a trip to Missouri when the light came on about 2 hrs. from Indianapolis on a Sunday evening. (March 7th) Anyway, I havent had any problems with the vehicle and hope I can assume there isnt a problem with the engine. Everything sounds okay and the car drives fine. However, I am a little disappointed that the folks at American Chevrolet in Muncie told me my front and rear brake pads needed to be replaced, but failed to mention anything about the engine light being on. (Aaron did mention that whoever worked on the car (the mechanic) did say Does she know her engine light is on? Gee, wouldnt that have been an important item to mention along with the needed brake pads?? Just wondering. Told my husband about this experience and he wasnt too happy either. He asked me, Why didnt you talk to Rodney Huffman? Well, it never occurred to me, thats why. I basically trust people to do what they should do. Not sure I will be back.
I am always greeted in a very friendly manner, the lanes are always clean. The waiting room is always clean and comfortable. The cost of the work and exactly what I need is spelled out to me very clearly and in order of importance if I cannot complete it all. Everyone wore their masks, the waiting room chairs were well spaced. The work was done in a timely manner.

We made appointment on line for 11 am. We arrived at 10:45 All good so far. Checked in went to waiting room still good. Waited until 1 pm and inquired about our vehicle thought a long wait for service and tire rotation. We payed the bill at 1:12 pm. Service Advisor said computer problem and he made an adjustment on the bill. We watched many customers come in and leave. If someone would have explained the problem for the wait this survey would have been different. So scheduling appointment was of no value. Maybe better next time.
I had to ask for my car to be sanitized after my oil change. The technician used a product that made “splotches” all over my dash. I had to return to the dealership to have it rubbed out. The person who helped me was very nice, but consistently had his mask under his nose. So, the procedures surrounding service during the pandemic were mediocre.

I was told to bring my vehicle in because of an intermittent issue with the radio/touchscreen. So on Saturday 9-12 I had an issue and drove 30 miles to have it looked at. I purchased an extended warranty with the vehicle which i presented the card at the time i checked in and I was told I had to pay 100.00 before they could look at it. I was so mad at that point I left and called the warranty number and they told me i can take this vehicle to any GM dealer and that charge would be covered. I will be looking to find another service provider to take care of my broken Chevrolet Malibu.
