Alright, time for some real talk on the Yarn Stories. Incredible. I was new to the area and slightly curious about knitting. Katy worked one on one guiding me through my first project (a cowl). The shop is staffed with competent knitters/crocheters who are passionate about yarn and sharing it with others. They also spin (something I have yet to learn) but they literally take fiber and spin it into yarn. Mind blowing. Yarn stories has provided me with a new hobby that I love and an incredible community of accepting goofy individuals. It is definitely a hang out spot where I can get my knit on! **Side note Tuesdays and Thursday nights they are open till 8 pm for spin in / knit in. I recommend going on one of these nights as it is a great opportunity to meet the community of knitters.Also, super kid friendly. The staff have knit stuffed animals on the shelves, let me act like a kid (lets be honest--- I snuggle that yarn before I buy it), so yes it is a come and touch store. If your kid is being a litter bug-- they may respectfully and kindly ask you not to litter.

Yarn Stories is great! I love their selection! So much to choose from! The staff is very helpful. It doesnt matter your level of knitting, crocheting or spinning they have some one who can help guide you or even teach you! And the new location downtown is beautiful!

I LOVE this place. The staff is super friendly and super helpful. If they dont have what Im looking for, they look to see if they can order it and work out arrangements on doing so if possible. The people that I have met while attending the shops spin in or knit night have become more than just friends. I would suggest this store to everyone who either spins, knits, or crochets. It doesnt matter if youre a beginner or an expert, ALL are welcomed here.

One of my favorite places to visit! The staff has always been extremely helpful and kind. The owner has taught me so much about yarn and knitting and even helped my 8 year old son get set up! In fact all 3 of my kids beg me to go every time I head over.Clean store, wonderful environment, and of course all the yarn/knitting/crochet goodies you could ask for!

Yarn Stories is my home away from home! Everyone is friendly and knowledgeable, there is a great selection of yarn and very reasonable prices. Not sure what the other review was talking about because Ive never had a problem bringing my kids in.

I LOVE Yarn Stories! I am a VERY novice crocheter that brings my young niece (8yrs old) in as we are learning together...The staff is always so helpful when we stop in and are always happy to help us with our many questions...Im hoping to start bringing her to Knit Night now that school is out!I highly recommend stopping in and checking it out!

Best yarn store around! Great selection and the woman who runs the store is awesome. If you need help with a pattern or learning to knit/crochet for the first time, I definitely recommend this store.

Yarn Stories is a fantastic addition to Muncie. Owner Lauren Back is very knowledgeable about types of yarns and knitting techniques and is always happy to help me with my projects. I recently took a sock knitting class and it was not only informative, but fun, too.

This place is knitters heaven!Lots of patterns, tons of yarn, classes and lots of helpful advice. They have a great online shop for those times you just cant get into Muncie, but there is no better place to spend a rainy afternoon.The staff are very friendly and always have time to discuss any questions or offer advice. Lauren the owner is awesome!I have been completely overwhelmed with selections, after every visit to the shop. The range of yarns is extensive from basic to some very luxurious yarns for that very special project or person.One of these days Im going to have to join in on one of the many classes offered, this is one of my favourite places to visit whenever I have a spare hour in Downtown Muncie!
