Great neighborhood HD, but lacks some of the specialized tools you can get at the large

Before today Ive stopped at this particular hd at least twice a week for work. Ive spent plenty of money here and gave them plenty of business. Today I received an order through the website on my job site and needed an adjustment...not a return... not a replacement..a slight trimming. I was turned away at the door. Now mind you Ive gone in to other hd for the exact reason I went here and not only did they trim what I needed they offered further assistance with parts and hardware. As a general handyman, I take pride in helping my consumer so we can further business. I guess the gentleman working the pro desk (or returns) at the entrance does not have the same mentality. I will not be returning as a result.

Was looking for several products that they didnt have or didnt carry. What was troubling was that many employees did not cover their noses and mouths with their masks. When one such man came over to help my wife she asked him to put his mask on. His response, Why? Were just talking. As compromised senior citizens, we are alarmed by this nonchalance. Perhaps staff needs additional training or better supervision and accountability.

Would be five star if the wifi worked/the scan capability was working properly with the app.I’m a first time homebuyer, overwhelmed with picking out bathroom tile/flooring. Marilyn approached us, checking in on us and wasn’t pushy at all. She immediately provided guidance and suggestions on what would look nice/go together based on what I liked.I walked in feeling clueless but walked out with my bathroom design checked off the list and knowing exactly what I wanted/needed to order online when I got home. Very thankful for Marilyn’s help as I was holding up the remodeling process as I was stuck on the bathroom look.

We needed something to coat and color the patio deck at our condo. And Mike was so helpful. He not only explained products, he also helped explain rhe application.

Great on a pinch, bit its a smaller store and often doesnt have a full selection. I often times have to check online to see if they have what I need before I go in person.

Went in ask for what it was I was looking for to the first person I saw as an employee, he directed me right to where I needed to go made that a good day, no hunting around.

You need to fix the wifi please then its a 5 star

I have never seen a H.D. this empty. Been there several times and it is usually very easy to shop, as it is generally not crowded. Finally a home improvement store that is pleasant to be in.

Sunday 1/30Not a single employee at the register, all of them talking amongst themselves.Gurnee location and Round Lake take apple pay/contactless payment. You would think in 2021 during a pandemic that this location would maybe have ApplePay by now.Drove all the way here in the snow because gurnee location didn’t have what I needed in stock. Can’t buy anything because they don’t accept applepay, and people wonder why brick and mortar are dying....

I was helped at the paint counter by Marilyn and it was a very pleasant experience. She was so helpful and nice. She did a great job matching the color I needed. She is a keeper!!!

After spending 3 hours on the phone with customer service and not getting anywhere, because no one could tell me what happened with my online order I decided to go in the store, I was immediately greeted my Mark, I explained my situation to him and he went above and beyond to help me. Always have hated shopping here there are no employees to help you when you have questions or need these Cuts Like wire or carpet or tubing or just questions in general you have to walk all the way across the building to find somebody then you have to wait and wait and wait and wait some more they try to make their people knowledgeable about whatever Department there in they take that knowledge and they try to pass then and it just sounds unprofessional very unprofessional Home Depot is dirty Im clean Messi and sometimes understocked shop Home Depot under one necessity and if I do not need it I go to Menards Menards is clean helpful friendly theres always somebody around within a mile or two Talib you I would turn my attention to Menards if I were you

Home Depot was the only place around to have this size U-bolt and a large supply was in stock.

We recieved awful customer service from the kitchen appliance department manager. We were trying to purchase a stove and refrigerator the same day and she refuse to give a price match for a Lowes sign and website. The store manager approved the match and left for the day. Then when we tried to complete the transaction the department manager refused to give us the price match against her store managers specific order.She was extremely rude and tried to make us feel as though we didnt know how to read a sign claiming it was likely on sale because it was a return or a refurbished appliance. The sign clearly said it was a sale not refurbished. Overall an awful experience would not reccomend anyone to purchase anything in this store unless you want to be belittled to someone illiterate and incompetent to know what a sale price means.

They still have a good discount for Veterans & fair prices to start with.

Kevin in the cabinets department was fantastic to work with!! He was knowledgeable and detail oriented, very responsive via email and just very pleasant to work with. I’d highly recommend him for custom cabinets!

Toe Knee at Customer Service & Brandon in the tile department were amazing plus I was able to pick up the part of my order that was placed online within a matter of a couple of hours.

The Mundelein store is my favorite in the area. Its convenient for me, too. I happened to luck out. So many helpful, positive employees here, Bert and the guy in lighting. Plumbing guy is great, too.

Lost another customer. Tried returning a few plants of many on an original receipt. Tony which is apparently the boss of returns would not return it stating it didnt die that quickly. He then said it would have to be 9 months from now. I confirmed that if anything died within a year Home Depot would replace it due to their policy. He said that was correct. So it is apparently up to Tony whether this year warranty policy is followed or not. I own a landscape company and buy a lot of merchandise from the garden center, I think this will have to end. Home Depot you can thank Tony for a drop in thousands of dollars in sales a year due to his childish behavior and rudeness. I will go to Lowes and Menards because they actually follow their policy which I pass on to my customers. Very unfortunate.

Mostly everything I needed. Always out of something haha. Never expect to get help but that is kind of the home depot experience.

The staff at this Home Depot are the most helpful and cheerful Ive ever met. They are more than willing to go out of their way to assist and answer questions. The store is clean and organized. This is the only Home Depot I will shop at for now on, such a pleasant experience!

I almost always have a really good experience at the Mundelein Home Depot. The employees are always helpful and friendly without being pushy or condescending. The selection is just as good as at any other Home Depot or any other hardware store. The prices are good to fair. The Mundelein Home Depot has public restrooms available for use. The store is always kept pretty clean. The parking is free. I almost never have to wait at the checkout line.

Large store with wide variety of products. I feel like they do a good job at making products rather easy to find. They have good employees there and if a specific employee is unable to help you find something specific, they know who would be able to accurately help you.

Coming Into your store EVERYBODY is so helpful. Every time I come Into your store John at the service desk always stops to greet me, see if I need any help, if I do, John sees to it I get the help I may need due to being handicapped. As far as Im concerned employees like this are hard to find!! Employees like John put Home Depot in A position where they control the industry!!!Keep up the good work.Gary

Helpful staff that got me exactly what I needed.

A new tactic used by at least one employee at this location to gain phone numbers and email addresses is to mention a raffle for some random Halloween decorations out front. This would be fine if it werent for the fact that the employee promised the phone number and email address would only be used in case the raffle was won and not for spam. It has been two days and my house is already being targeted by home depots spam department.I understand collecting customer information for the purpose of marketing is probably one of the benchmarks employees are graded on, but creating a probably fake raffle and lying about the spam calls/emails seems like a very disingenuous way to go about attracting return customers.Edit: I should also add we found everything we needed on our visit fairly quickly, but then had to wait at the register for the cashier and another home depot employee to finish their conversation. After about 2 minutes of listening to them talk I just ask if there is another cash register open and the other home depot employee scurried off

Mundelein is the best Home Depot in area, I go there rather than the store closer to home. Less hectic, always better organised than Round Lake. Most employees are older or semi retired, so they have a lot of experience and are ready to give a much higher level of service. Very good selection of items despite being the smallest Home Depot in area. Smaller is better!

This store has really mean associates the kind that I have never seen. To make it more complicated there is one associated that is very racist. Why I say that it is simple... The way he treated me compared to another customer before me made me realize that. It was very uncomfortable for me to be honest. This is a store that has a lot of customers from different part of the world so why to allow this kind of behavior.

I love when they all me if I would like to open a home depot credit card... And they already know me by my first name.

Will definitely give the Mundelein Home Depot for stars for effort. A much better staff than the stores at Randhurst and Palatine. Would go a little out of my way to shop here.

I live in Mundelein but I prefer to shop at the Vernon Hills store. They have friendly knowledgeable staff that come up to you to see if you need help. At the Mundelein store, they see you but keep walking. If you need help or have a question, you have to figure it out because they dont make eye contact or acknowledge you. So, I drive to Vernon Hills.

This is an easy Home Depot to shop at!

Don’t waste your time going to this Home Depot for flooring installation! I went to get a price on vinyl plank flooring a few weeks ago their was no one there to help me and the flooring people were standing around doing nothing! When I approached a young woman in the flooring department I felt like I was bothering her she payed little attention to me and my questions and when we set up the date for them to come out and measure for the install they came out and nothing happened I sat and waited! I had to call them back and then all of a sudden a few hundred dollar install ended up being $1,000! They tried to sell me all these things I didn’t need and were almost forcing me to buy them like an underlayment they said was required for this floor. I got news for you it’s a vinyl plank flooring IT DOESNT REQUIRE an underlayment!!!!!!!!!!! It’s been almost 3 weeks now and I have yet to hear anything back from Home Depot! DONT WASTE YOUR TIME they obviously don’t want your business or mine!

Great store, great staff. The associates run to help customers, and there are usually plenty of them unlike in Vernon Hills store. Yesterday Sean helped me select Loctite glue for my furniture.

I had to return an item, Anthony returned my item and gave me tha aisle number to get the correct item. Anthony checked me back out, entire time, 6 minutes, thank you Anthony.
