Supermercado Vargas is a excellent place to go and grab a few things from a small grocery store like milk, butter, bread, some fresh vegetables, fresh ground beef and others meats as well as some fresh baked breads and a few cold drinks and the staff are really friendly and extremely helpful as a staff member did came up to me and even asked me if I needed any help with anything.

This place had homemade Posole which is amazing!!! A needle in the haystack find. They also have authentic Mexico herbal tea leaves such as cola de caballo (helps with kidney stones, tract infections, etc) if you want to experience the real Mexican culture in Illinois.. here is your best chance!

Tipical regional Mexican groceries store with butcher and hot food available, not impressed at all. I rather go to Lewis Market in Waukegan. Watch out for groceries prices and change.
