A great place to browse and buy. Very nice selection of books, cds, and DVDs; and the in-store Starbucks makes the atmosphere just right.

Had an great time there. Grabbed a drink and browsed a wide selection of magazines, books, mangas and music. One of the best spots I visited on my trip.

Looking back over the old reviews theres mention of rude staff and I absolutely agree. There is one in particular I walk out if I see him at the register. He shouldnt be working customer service.

Was trying to find The Brave Little Toaster on DVD in the area since its not streaming (even on Disney+!) anywhere. They actually had it, and I was able to pay for it online and then pick it up with no trouble at all. I looked around a bit since I havent really been in a store like this since the heart-wrenching demise of Hastings 😭. Pretty much as expected, but one thing stood out: over the entry to the restrooms is a poster for The Sound and The Fury and I think that is priceless!

Its been quite a while since Ive been here. I visited tonight and was sad to see that all of the cool funko pops and other collectibles were basically gone. Either i missed it or there really is just one shelf of funko pops. I still like this place and love looking at books though!

I go there for the book deals in the subjects that interest me... Youre also better off paying $25 to be a member if you want to shop here often or even semi-often... Membership also includes a discount on Starbucks purchases (in store only)...

First time in for a long time. Been isolating due to Covid. Have vaccines now so can go out and about. First place I wanted to go. Its my happy place! Great store! Stocked well. Great service. Has a coffee and treats area with tables. Great place to spend some down time, study or catch up with a friend.

Its nice to be able to hold the books. But nothing you can get here that you cant get on Amazon. Selection is smaller than Amazon, since theyre limited to what they can stock by being a physical building. Support local business, I guess?

As a customer for many years now visiting when only in town, the item selection and variety along with customer service is great. Whether looking for a specific item or perusing for a new discovery, the stores organization and layout make shopping easy and enjoyable.

Variety of great things for children if your looking for something different. Like learning toys, books, puzzles, puppets and ect.

Great store! Clean, well organized, phenomenal selection of books, as well as a great selection of toys and collectables. If youre looking to buy gifts for someone, or even for yourself, this is a terrific place to start.

Science fiction section is down to three shelves and the computer section is about the same. Sad.The new larger Nook is very nice though. I might look into one of those for PDF reading

I am a lover of REAL bookstores. Private owned and lined with books on top of books like you find in NYC. Those are a dying breed. I still think chains should focus more on books and less on all the other stuff. I would be willing to pay more and support a local bookstore over Amazon. I wish B&N focused more on books.

Its more expensive than Amazon but its a real book store (with a café), and that makes the extra few dollars worth it.

The store seemed to be in the middle of some sort of reorganization. I couldnt find any of the 4 relatively new books I was looking for. I am sure that they would have helped if I asked, but I didnt. I mean, I know how to find things in other book stores. Anyway, Ill buy those books elsewhere. The classics section is small and not well-stocked.

Found what we looked for place was clean nice and quite it had a Starbucks inside with a quite reading area.

Its a book store, little dead inside (covid) but I over heard one of the employees being extremely helpful to a number of mothers looking for sci-fi and fantasy books for their kids Christmas present. Sounded very knowledgeable and helpful

Me and my wife and baby came into this Barns and Nobles, after getting Starbucks we started walking around drinking our Starbucks and looking at the toys, couldn’t find what I was looking for so I asked the first employee I saw if I could ask her a question, she immediately and Very rudely scolded us for not having our masks on. After explaining that I was drinking coffee she was still very rude after that.She could have asked us nicely instead of treating us like two year olds. She was very unprofessional.

They had 2 movies on DVD that I have been looking forever for!! 💛💜💛💜

I was inside the store today around noon and I was looking through some of the graphic novels to complete some of my collections and one of the workers decided to slide in front of the section I was looking at and she decided that a sales speech was more important to one person than it was to be courteous to another person who was already there. This tells me that the staff arent as considerate to all of their customers which needs to be fixed.

Great place to pass the time while the wife is shopping. I love to read and drink coffee in the coffee shop, but due to the pandemic they have limited the time you can spend there.

Impressive disdain and rudeness. We asked someone to help find an Al Capone or gangster book for a book report. We were told the dont have any. No one searched in any systems or looked around. We continued to wander around until we stumbled upon an entire decriminalization of books. There were 3 ladies working, barely anyone in the store other than us and them. No customer service.

Barnes and Noble is an excellent bookstore. They carry all kinds of interesting books, games and toys. I could spend hours here just looking at all they have. The store itself is a 5 Star. The only negative is the Coffee Shop, a Starbucks I believe. It was the slowest I have ever seen. The person in front of me had to wait 20 minutes for a basic black coffee!

Yeah, I have Kindle app and Audible...but I still LOVE going to a bookstore! There is nothing like going in and just being overwhelmed by information and photography. Looking at a magazine on a tablet is just not the same as flipping through the pages, smelling the paper and ink, yeah, Im old school like that. At todays prices for magazines and books, I want to make sure they are worthy before I slap down the cash. Great selection, service and yes, you can get some tasty coffee as well to round out the experience.

I could shop at B&N forever. Its one of my favorite stores to shop at for any type of book, vinyl, comics and so much more. Plus and amazing cafe built in just puts the cherry on top. Would definitely recommend shopping at barnes & noble

I mean it was as good .But I was searching for a book and I asked someone up front and they told me to go to a different person. So I did and I walked to him and just walked back and stretched out his hand✋. And told me to wait so I did. Then when he was finished I walked up to him to show him the picture of the book I was looking for and he just said STAND BEHIND THE BLUE LINE . And he did find the book I was looking for but like.. He couldve been nicer 😧

Customer service had no problem standing near each other and talking in a group of like 8 people but as soon as I get close at all they back away and get rude. They did get me one of the books I was looking for and then tried to upsell me by making me seem stupid for not knowing the prices of their books. I don’t see how looking at my phone at the list i have for two seconds will be that big of a problem. Go home if you are that scared of covid.

Great selection of books and more. The staff was easily found and readily available to help, which was especially nice during the busyness of the holiday season, and offered some wonderful suggestions to find a good gift. He even followed up to see if we’d found a suitable book when he saw us later browsing another aisle. Spacious, clean, helpful, lots of options - what more could you ask for? :)

I was not too sure what to expect when my son wanted to go to the Harry Potter night at Barnes and Noble....but wow, did he have fun. A heartfelt thank you to the store and staff for creating this wonderful evening event.

This is the first business I have visited since the covid 19 event started that ACTIVELY told me to stand behind a blue line. I was told at two different places in the store by two different people to stand behind the blue line. I will not be shopping at Barnes and noble or Starbucks anymore. I am not sick and will not be treated as such. I will keep my infected money away from these businesses so they won’t have to worry anymore.

Wonderful staff! We took our little girl in here to look at books and toys and decided to get a drink from the cafe. Our daughter spilled hers and the manager replaced her drink free of charge. Staff is super friendly. Very impressed with this place.

I hate wearing a mask so I bought a drink from the coffee shop. I walked around the store with a straw in my mouth to keep my mask off and avoid confrontation.

The store employees really work to answer your questions; the selection at the store is great, and the store is clean. I havent been since COVID-19 hit but I like their web site, and Ive called the store with a question, and they were really helpful! Im glad Murfreesboro has a Barnes and Noble!
