Mike and his staff are friendly and informative. I had a zero turn that was easy to fix and a cast metal table base that was more difficult because of the way it was built.They did a good job at a fair price and didn’t promise anything they couldn’t deliver on. I’d definitely use them again even though they are now about 25 miles from my house.

I needed to find someone to put a 2in hitch receiver onto the back of my Airstream. I was really worried I wouldn’t find someone to meet my expectations. I’m hauling two BIG cargo bikes (one electric) using a Hollywood racks cargo bike carrier.It’s really easy to find a welder in the greater Nashville area, much harder to find a true fabricator. I bought a brand new bed for my son, from a big name furniture store. Boxes shipped to my house, one of which, wrapped in shipping tape. When we tried to assemble bed, discovered it was missing hooked brackets (4 of them) and bolts, to secure side slats to headboard and footboard. Company was unwilling and unable to provide us with those parts. After 2 years, I decided to Google metal fabricator near me. I called 3 others, and none would deal with little guys, only did work for large companies. I called Lucas Metalworks, explained the situation and what I needed done. I was able to bring him one bracket and within 2 days, my new brackets were ready! The cost was so low, it blew my mind! We have finally installed the brackets and now my sons bed is fully functional. I kick myself for not finding them sooner!! The owner, Michael was one of the most soft spoken, pleasant and customer-satisfaction driven people I have EVER met! And was willing to go far above and beyond making sure I was completely satisfied with his work. If I ever need anything metal related again, no one else will get my business.

Working on some mods for my 4WD (shackle mounts for off-road recovery) and ended up stripping one of the bolts as well as the frame threads. I ran out of options (beyond my capabilities) and found Lucas Motorworks online. Talked to Michael, and he said “no problem, we do bolt extraction, etc.” Michael and his team took care of it quickly. While visiting his shop, Michael and I discussed several other projects I’ve been pondering (rock sliders, winch installation, lift kits), and they do all of that and then some. I called Michael asking for some help to repair my riding mower. One of the main supports for the deck sheared away form the frame after years of hard mowing. Michael did an excellent job repairing the joint and making it even stronger than before with the addition of some angle and gussets surrounding the bracket. He also repaired my trailer latches which also cracked after 20 years of use. He used square tube for the repair that was stronger than the original bent plate. He also added some rubber bumpers so the gate would not slam into the trailer as you drive. A very nice addition. He even pressure washed the trailer including the floor boards! Almost looks like new. I cant say enough about the quality of his work. Saved me hundreds or dollars on the mower and he completed both jobs in less than two days. I would highly recommend his company for these types of repairs. He was very courteous and a pleasure to work with. He offers many other services. Give his company a try if you need some craftsmanship in your next project.

Great Company!! We called them last minute, way to late into a project. They showed up in the pouring rain, fought their way 20 high through duct work, plumbing, trusses, wiring,etc and welded angle iron for about 10 hours. They understood the plans, overcame multiple adversities, and are easy to work with. They understand technology and use it to their advantage. They send an invoice with a link to pay. Not a typical backyard guy that doesnt know how to use a computer. Communicated well.

I am a grandfather 59 years young and raise my 8 year old grandson. His grandmother and I got him a SYX Moto mini dirt bike for Christmas 2020 and due to poor MFG craftmanship the Gear Box Broke as well as the replacement that I ordered broke. He has not been able to ride it very much and has been very sad. I am disabled and on a fixed budget and could not afford to purchase another replacement clutch box. I contacted Mike and he was glad to look at it for me. With in no time he welded a fabrication for it and I CANT GET MY GRANDSON OFF OF IT ! Had a very bad trailer neck breakage on a 3 car trailer way out in Nashville TN, 672 miles from home.LUCAS MW came out on the spot and welded a new trailer neck in and multiple support beams. They came out quickly to work on my friends pull behind trailer that had a break in the frame, fixed it quickly and I told them about a broken weld on my receiver hitch and they said since they were there theyd do it for free but I left them a tip they are good guys!

Mike was great! He came out to a truck stop on a Saturday morning to help my sons and I when our fifth wheel broke a leaf spring bracket. Mile fabricated and welded a new bracket and reinforced the other brackets so we could get back on the road. Service was great and he’s a great person. We needed several custom handrails created to fit both inside and outside my dad’s home due to a decrease in his mobility. Michael and his team were able to fabricate railing that looks great and is sturdy enough to support his entire body weight if needed. The exterior railing was designed to match existing railing around a gazebo in the backyard. It’s perfect. My dad is already more confident and safe while moving around his home. Initially, an “experienced” welder incorrectly welded a trunk support bracket on my ‘61 Corvette last week. The weld broke in under an hour. After speaking with Michael for 10 minutes, I was convinced he had the experience I needed.Today, I drove 50 minutes from Franklin, TN (with no trunk lid) to his shop. 2 hours later, Michael fixed my car. Michael’s work is incredible. He is experienced, and I highly recommend him.

I caught a large rock in the blades of my rototiller which broke the blades from the shaft. Because of the close tolerance between the blades and housing, precision welding was required to properly repair the damage. Lucas Welding did the repair expeditiously and the repair was exact.
