Alex was great. He had a perfectly maintained machine ready for us and we had a blast. He really cares about his customers and providing high quality service.

These UTVs are sweet! No issues and they performed great. Alex was really easy to work with too. We will definitely be using AK for all of our future rentals.

Guy is a rip off atv was damaged and he knew before letting us take it he wouldnt let us test drive it first than refused to give us our money back after we called him immediately after we got the atv off the trailer and found that the clutch was not disengaging and we got stuck with my kids than he told us if we dont drive it cause we didnt feel safe he would refund our money but it was a lie guy is a crook dont rent from him

Atvs are unsafe and no test drive before you take them so you will be charged with things that are already wrong with them

We rented a 4 seater for a job while we worked in the area. Alex made the process super easy. He worked with us and our company constantly to ensure everything we needed was taken care of, even as far as going out of his way to deliver the machine himself to keep us on schedule. Id give him 10 stars if I could.

Great company to rent from. Alex has been around the block a few times and knows how to protect his company and customers from bad renters who tear up equipment. He removes the cover and has the customer and himself inspect the belt before and after rental. The initial damage walk around is recorded to protect you from being accused of any damage that was already on the vehicle. The check out process is a little longer due to this, but worth it. The last thing you want is to get out to the cabin and be stuck with a rental that doesnt run. This thoroughness allows him to give good prices, and also chases away the kids who want to rent equipment just to tear it up. No hidden fees and easy to work with. We got a late start on our day we were going to come home and thought it would be nice if we could just stay an extra day. A single text to Alex and he quickly replied that we could keep it another day. No late penalties, we only had to pay for the extra day at the same rate we paid for the other days. I definitely recommend if you are a responsible adult looking to enjoy some trails. Thank you Alex.

I would give Alex a 0 rating if I could. I rented a machine in 2015. Make sure you take a detailed video with the walk around not just the checklist he has you do. Take the time to check the entire machine out as well as the belt compartment before renting (he plans on you not doing this to make money). After I rented this machine and took it back we signed everything off that I was good, then Alex called me a week later and said all this stuff was wrong all of a sudden and charged me for repairs that was never my fault (along with the belt which seems to be a common review on here....weird) and now they have been harassing me for years!! BUYER BEWARE

Alex was very helpful throughout the rental process. He made sure that I understood the rental agreement, and how to properly operate the machine. The machine ran flawlessly and made for a great weekend. I would highly recommend A&K, and plan to rent there again.

Super friendly, great prices and our buggy was a lot of fun. Alex went over the driving basics and how to take care of the machine. He was very upfront about what kind of damage would result in extra fees and how to avoid it. We didnt have any issues or surprises. Well go to Alex for our next rental in SLC for sure.

Alex the owner is a great guy, He has the best prices in Utah by a good amount. He couldnt be more honest and up front about everything. If you dont know what you are doing he will sit and teach you. He is much more flexible with pick up and drop off than his competitors. I rented from him because of the reviews and now i see why they are all great. It was all around just a great experience.

The rental price was very reasonable and as long as you are responsible with the machines you shouldnt have any problems. Definitely will be using this place again!

This place is a bit hidden off 9000 South and 1300 west. It doesn’t come with your typical bells and whistles type fanfare of a rental place. However, the owner Alex is very friendly, thorough, and will give you all the best tips for riding his machines. He takes great pride in making sure you have a great experience. Additionally, his prices beat all 3 other places I called. I would recommend this place to a friend.

Ive rented from Alex a few times and have had pleasant experiences each time. Each rental involves a thorough visual machine condition walk around and belt view before and after use. If you dont have a lot of experience with the equipment youre renting, he will take his time to explain operating procedures including tips to avoid damaging the belt. Alex is easy to talk with and has a good sense of humor that comes out as you develop a trusting relationship with him. I know Im renting well maintained equipment from an accomplished mechanic when I rent from Alex.

We had an October reservation with a competitor of AK Rentals. The night before our scheduled date we got a call that our machine had come back wrecked and they would have to cancel us. They kindly referred us to Alex at AK. He went over EVERYTHING with us to make sure we understood how to safely operate the machine and minimize risk of damage. He even made us read the full contract so there were no questions. He provided a flag and helmets and he did all of this with only about 14 hours between my cancelled reservation and picking up his machine. He carefully went over the belt issues and even video recorded the machine and trailer so that all prior damage would be accounted for. When we returned 4 days later he checked the belt and said, it looks great, you did it just right. We had more fun at Coral Pink Sand Dunes than weve had in a long time. And Alex even matched my 4 days for the price of 3 from the other vendor. He literally saved our vacation! Why go elsewhere? I wont!!

I really enjoyed renting from here. Alex was awesome!! We went to the sand dunes, a place notorious for destroying drive belts, Alex took the time to give us advice on how to make sure we dont ruin the belt. He was very personal and made sure we had the best experience possible.All the equipment was in awesome condition and ran perfect!!! Would definitely rent from Alex again.

Very professional and excellent service. The machines are in great shape and the owner takes extra care making sure that the renter understands how to take care of the machine and knows his expectations. He takes a video of the current condition of the machine before you leave so that you can do a comparison if there is any questions and he is very fair and professional.

I have rented from Alex several times over the last two years. His machines are fairly new and very well maintained with never a problem. His customer service is fantastic. Prices are very fair and competitive. Best guy in town!

He wanted to be sure I understood the explanation of charges and the agreement structure. I asked him if he felt like the circumstances resulting in the damage were questionable to which to agreed. I asked him if he felt we both had shared loss in the repair of the machine to which he agreed. From what he said I paid for parts/labor and the machine being out of commission. At this point, the best either of us can do is assume the other is honest. Alex appears so and that he tried his best to be as fair to me as he could.I was responsible for the condition of the equipment that it returned in and it was damaged. I wont rent again because so much can get past you on an inspection, youre not a professional and dont always know what to look for.I appreciate Alex calling and trying to clear it up. Ultimately Id give the situation 2 stars, not Alex or his business. He tries to do right by his customers.**I’ll preface this that admittedly maybe I didn’t review the rental and insurance agreement like I should have; so maybe its me who deserves the 2 stars.Also, this happened a few years ago but a friend of mine encouraged me to write this recently after his rental experience elsewhere. The intent is for someone to avoid the situation I was in.As someone who has owned and operated toys my whole life, and have rented equipment, I expect that nothing is 100% and things could break down or have problems. It’s why I get insurance so I’m not liable.During my rental period the support arm sheered at the weld ending our trip early. I could have easily replaced this myself but in good faith returned the machine in its condition to Alex. I didn’t want to mess with his livelihood.He told me the repair estimate which was a blow to the gut. I expected that the insurance I paid at time of signing would cover the costs. He told me the insurance was for accidents, “if you hit objects/trees”. I tried having a conversation with him about it, but the feedback I got only compounded my frustration.I didn’t take it any further because I was getting so irritated and ultimately paid out the nose to replace parts that certainly had experienced failure prior to my rental. There had to have been a hairline fracture undetectable by the early inspection.If memory serves me right I paid over $2k for parts and labor.I think my experience is mostly isolated. I wanted to share this so others wouldn’t experience the same thing I did. Read and understand your agreements! Also inspect your machine in greater detail than Alex before renting and note ANYTHING.Alex is a nice enough guy though. Great story and background coming from Russia. If you have a chance to small talk with him take the opportunity.

We had a great experience with our razor rental from A&K rentals. Alex was very helpful on explaining different things about the 1000 that we rented that made it a lot easier to ride, thanks we will be renting from him again in the future for our next family adventure.

Do not rent from this company. Alex will charge you for stuff that is not the clients responsibility! After returning a rental he waits a week and then tries to say there was a burned belt! There was nothing wrong with it when returned and he checked everything and said all is well.

Before renting with AK recreational rentals please be sure to clearly read and understand their rental contract prior to renting I did NOT. I was able to come to an agreement with Ak recreational rentals after the machines we rented broke down but the outcome was very painful for my family.I believe Alex will take his time to review it with you if you ask. His rental prices are good and minus the breakdowns we experienced the rzrs are what I expected. From reading other reviews my experience is clearly the exception and not the norm. Everyone else must have taken extra care reading the rental contract.

Ive rented for 2 years in a row from Alex and Ive found him to be very fair and easy to work with. He does a great job explaining each machine and how NOT to break it in order to protect yourself from additional fees. Obviously if you break something its your responsibility to pay for it...amazes me that other people give bad reviews after they break something and are expected to pay for it. Its common sense...you break it you buy it everybody knows that!Ive always had machines that are in perfect working order and never experienced a problem with them. I think its important to understand the limitations of what these machines can and cannot do for you to have a positive experience, so listen to Alex and ask him advice if you are unsure. If you watch a bunch of extreme youtube videos and then go out and try to replicate them youre setting yourself up for failure and an expensive repair bill.Ill be back in the fall to rent a RZR1000 from him, cant wait!

I rented a XP1000 RZR from A&K.The Machine was brand spankin new and the rental processwas super easy. Alexs customer service was top Notch andI would recommend him to all my Family & Friends. The Price wasas advertised and there was no surprise fees. I went to Little Sahara& Alex supplied me the Whip flag and a helmet for my 12 year old son atno extra charge. (From Jeff and Lori), I cant say enough how great an experience we had renting a 2014 RZR 4 seater from Alex at AK rentals!!! First of all we booked several months in advance with one of his local competitors, and they cancelled on us a few hours before we were to pick it up. They said the machine we were to rent was broken down. We found out about Alex and AK rentals, we called them, and within a few hours we were on the road to Sand Hollow with a very brand new looking 2014 RZR 4 seater and similar heavy duty trailer from Alex. This was a family reunion party he totally saved. Everyone else in the family had their own RZRs, yet ours from Alex was the one everyone envied. We cant thank him enough!!! Alex was so friendly and helpful. He answered the phone every time we called (unlike the other place). We took good care of the machine and werent charged anything extra after returning it. AK rental pricing was very competitive. I will rent from Alex again and I highly recommend them to anyone else. 5 Star rating all the way !!! Thanks again Alex !!!
