OUTSTANDING.The shop location isnt exactly visible from where google tells you to go, but when you do find it and walk in, it feels like youd hope a machine shop would. As a USAF maintainer in a previous life, that was reassuring.I gave them my cylinder head, they machined it down, checked it for cracks, performed vaccum tests on the valves, and called me to pick it up before close of business next day.When I got there to pick it up, the tech let me know how much material they had to take off to get it to hold a seal. He also pointed me in the direction of which brand of gasket to look into to compensate for that.All in all, I would definitely recommend Pro Machine Shop to a friend or family member. 🤙

I’ve never had a good experience at a machine shop until I came here. I live in Utah county and will drive far out of my way to come back here. I dropped a head off to be machined, and in 24 hours they were done. Good quality, very fast at a fair price. I would come back here and recommend them.

I read a few reviews where people were unsatisfied with Pro Machine’s work. This mystifies me as I have had nothing but great experiences. I have had them work on 2 separate motors for me, one volvo and one bmw. Communication has been clear, all costs were clearly communicated before the work was done, and the work was performed quickly. Dave is one of the friendliest guys I have met and if you butt heads with him I would put that on you! I wouldn’t think of using someone else. A+++++

An amazing shop. Brought my flywheel there and it was done quickly and properly. The gentleman working there at the time even stayed slightly past when he was supposed to get off so I could get it back same day even though I was running late with errands.

This shop is the best place if you want quality work and people who are true professionals at what they do. Dave who is the owner is honest and will give you all the detailed information you need to make a good decision on what engine and head work that needs to be done. Allen is one the the most knowledgeable people in the business. He is a true professional and I called him multiple times after my engine was done, and he spent time answering all my questions when I was installing my rebuild kit on the engine. This place is definition of Professional just like the name.

I have had excellent service and results on cylinder head work on German and domestic cylinder heads and other components. I have used them on about (5) different occasions. Helpful and knowledgeable. Very happy with the their work. Allen and the guys are great!

Yates performed work without asking me first. He also lost all the bolts that held accessories like the water pump and fuel pump to the engine. He didnt offer to replace them. The engine he rebuilt seems to be running okay, which is good because I paid a premium for his services.

I brought in a set of remanufactured heads to get vacuum tested. They found 1 bad exhaust valve seat. They fixed it within hours and at a very reasonable price! I will definitely be coming back to these guys. Thanks!!

Pro Machine Shop was a pleasure to work with. I spun a rod in my 2010 Subaru Impreza and they were very professional keeping in contact with me to let me know how the repair was going. I received my car back and after about 2000 miles something went wrong with the engine. I called the guys at pro machine and they told me that the work was covered and to bring it back in. After investigating they discovered that a bolt holding the tension for the timing belt had come off. The original work was still good and this was a problem with the assembly which they subcontract out. They used a new assembly person and covered the cost and got me my engine back in working order. I love the guys at Pro Machine!

These guys did a great job checking my head for cracks. Very friendly and willing to help out with my problem. I was impressed with how they stayed within what they quoted me, and the fact that they showed me the cracks and did the test right in front of me instead of just saying there were cracks. Will defiantly be going here for my future machining needs.

I really wish Google would give a zero star option. These guys are terrible. They dont call to follow up with you on anything. You have to call and ask what is going on, and then thats when they tell you that they had a question they needed to ask you before they started. If you had a question, then maybe you should have called me instead of waiting two weeks. They are unprofessional in every way. This was the first time I had used this guys and will absolutely be the last. There are so many better and more professional machine shops in the valley.

I worked for this guy and he overcharges for the simple little jobs and will rake you over the coals if given the chance.

Dishonest shop, if they damage your property they will not take responsibility for it or make it right. If you want to risk have your parts damaged and not made right this is the shop for you. owner of the shop actually said had they been the ones to cause the damage they wouldnt have even said anything so that proves it wasnt us

A good friend told me about this place I talked to them they gave me a quote and I took my block in had them muchine it and do a short block they do amazing work and I would recommend anyone to go there ask for Dave or Alen

Dave is horrible!!! He is a lying thef had him micro-polish my crank that was .010 under on all journals. When I got it back from him some how my rod journal ended up at .020??? I have the old rod and main bearings that clearly say 0.25 on them, motor went bad because I blew the ringlands off not because of a spun bearing and if the clearance was .010 off, as he claimed motor would of never Been able to make 500hp and run 3 years. When I asked Dave why he didnt call me and let me know that the crank was .020 under on the rods he said he thought I knew and went ahead and did the work knowing that I couldnt use a .020 under crank for 400hp he proceeds to tell me that the guy who built the motor must of been running the wrong bearings/clearance But wait how can a motor run for over 3 years if the rod bearing clearance was .010 off? Cortney green from CG Racing is the one who built the motor the first time And he assured me the crank was .010 under because he would never touch anything over .010. Dave and pro machine are the only ones who have touched the crank no other person has even seen it since the first build over 3 years ago. now Im out of a crank because at .020 I cant even run it, paid him the $55 to polish it. Called Dave this morning and explained to him the situation, that I have the person who built the motor assure me the crank was .010 under, told him old Bearings are 0.25 on rod and main and that I have them infront of me and also that his people are the only ones who touched it and so on., He offers ZERO compensation and tells me that I probley took him the wrong crank impossible because thats the only one I own. In all he offerd zero help nothing at all says he had nothing to do with it lol.Ohh and to top it off I, was going threw my invoice and seen a charge for press piston ?Called Dave and before I even told him who it was asked what A piston press was. He tells me its when we put the pistons on the rods?? Haha guess what my pistons and rods are still in there own boxes. Dave actually charged me $45 for a piston press he never did. Then when i confronted him he says well there just free floating pistons?? what does that have to do with anything hes still charging me for a service he never did. He then tells me bring them in Ill press them in, haha no Ill be in later to get my $45 back. Couldnt make it today so Ill be down there to get my $45 back.Please dont do business with Dave or pro machine they will distory your stuff charge you for work they didnt do and blame you for it.

Theyll damage your property, deny it, and then say if we had done it we wouldnt have told you so because we told you it was damaged it shows we didnt do it as if thats any better. Stay away.
