This place exemplifies why I hate leaving a tip before I recieve my order. I was 15 minutes into my wait to be told they were out of the bean I ordered, when my pour over was finally finished it was a 12oz not the 16oz I paid for. It was luke warm missing the cream and sugar I ordered. Others with me also had coffee missing cream and sugar. If you purchase any of the bottle juices besure to check the expiration date. My friend purchased a bottled juice and it was 5 days past its expiration date. Staff did not seem to care about the lack of service. Will not be back.

Shaffer is a fantastic place to enjoy some coffee! I have ordered numerous drinks and am never disappointed! The owners are great! They have created an awesome atmosphere in a small town! Definitely a must go!

In Murray for the summer and this is my go to coffee spot without a doubt. Drinks are great, staff is wonderful, and the atmosphere is perfect.

The reason I’m leaving a one star review isn’t because of the person who took my order. I’m leaving a one star review because I ordered a chocolate chip waffle and waited twenty minutes until I asked what happened to my waffle. In which the waffle I ordered was completely forgot about. It wasn’t like they were packed or anything either because they only had six people in there. Then when they brought it out, they brought a peanut butter banana waffle which isn’t what I ordered. I will not go back.

These guys sell not only coffee but Matcha drinks as well. Try lavender syrup with your favorite drink and not be disappointed.

Although it serves excellent coffee, neither the clientele nor the (some) servers are my cup of tea (IMO, its a combination of ignorance, a stiff attitude, and an expectation of acceptance for a variety of beliefs I dont subscribe to).I will be spending neither my time nor my money there and have ceased recommending it. In fact, I steer people toward what I feel are more hospitable venues.Perhaps piety has its place, but not in a coffee shop. I could do without the attitude as well.

Excellent green tea with brown rice (genmai cha). It was a beautiful day, in December, so we could enjoy sitting outside. Airy light atmosphere inside. Seemed like a good place to do work.

They dont serve any blended or frozen coffees or teas so I ordered an iced chai.. Big mistake, I literally had to dump it out in the parking lot it tasted like nothing but cinnamon and water. Gross! A chai is supposed to be creamy and spiced not taste like nothing but cinnamon powder and water and the amount of cinnamon powder they put in it will gag you. Dont waste your money.

Very nice place for coffee, espresso, and cold brew. Seemed like a relatively quiet place that attracts both professionals and students as a workspace. A bit pricey at times but makes sense for a local place thats still growing. My only suggestions would be to stock cream and milk at the condiments station. Some of our party had to ask over the counter for additions they could have made themselves if they were available.

What a find during my visit to Murray. This place is excellent with great prices, and a very nice vibe, plenty of seating for all types of gatherings or solo work. They also have beans you can purchase, if youre into that. A for sure go-to if I make it down here again.

The BEST cafe in Murray. Dare I say Kentucky. Very friendly staff with actual coffee, they make excellent lates, and I consistently promote their facility to my friends.

Unique spot for coffee. They have waffle everything and sell special chaffer mugs, shirts, and coffee presses. Way cheaper than Starbucks but with more flavor.

As a remote employee for a software startup, I live in coffee shops. Shaffer is the best coffee shop in Murray. Really good coffee, great atmosphere, fast internet, and lots of room to get work done. The music isnt too loud either, easily able to take business calls too. This is my go to coffee shop in Murray.

We thoroughly enjoyed the cappuccinos. Kyle is a very good barrista. Very nice coffee shop with good vibes which you would expect to find in a college town. However, this business needs to be listed on TripAdvisor as well.
