Im so happy to have found this place! I travel a lot and always have a hard time finding food here.We had papaya salad, massaman curry and garlic chicken. All three dishes were flavorful and fresh! I love that they gave sticky rice with the papaya salad. We dined in around 7 PM. There were plenty of tables available. It seemed like they were busy with take out orders but our food was still served fast! They had generous portions!!!We will definitely be back!
Just grabbed lunch here for the first time ever, and my god. This is easily the best Thai food Ive ever had ANYWHERE! The chicken satay skewers were cooked to perfection and the panang curry was so incredibly flavorful I cant see myself ever getting Thai curry anywhere else. The level of spice was perfect. I enjoy spicy food and went with a level 3 which was exactly how it like it, hot enough that it makes your eyes water and nose start running. Cant wait to come back soon and try even more dishes from the menu.Best Thai in the Salt Lake valley, easy!
I absolutely LOVE their Pad Thai! The service there is amazing too! Super nice and great customer service over all. I give them a 10000/10
I had lunch here with some coworkers and we had a wonderful experience. The service is great and the food was delicious. Definitely would consider returning here.
I love this place! Their entrées are as authentic as I can find and everyone I have entertained there had been very satisfied. The cook is a sweetheart too!
Sadly, this place has gone downhill. The environment was hot and cramped. The service was inadequate and slow. The food was subpar. My friend’s order was wrong so we waited extra long for the correction. My curry had inedible greenish under-cooked potatoes. They charged me extra $ for beef (a complete surprise) and the meat cuts were of low quality with grisly and hard overcooked bits. The server dropped our check and said she would get a box but hadn’t returned 20 minutes later. No apologies for forgetting us. Been there many times but this will be my last visit.
Delicious food! We will be eating here again. My wife is vegan and a lot of the dishes can be made vegan. We had vegan yellow curry and Thai tea and loved it!
I dont get the hype from other reviewers. Last time I had a stir fry which was pretty okay, this time we had Pad Thai and it was pretty underwelming. The portion sizes were average at best, but the prices were not. The staff is nice from my experience, this is a rating for the food, not the restaurant experience itself. I ate there 3 times before writing this review just to be sure.
This is the best thai restaurant around! They have delicious curry and all around amazing dishes. The service is always friendly and fast. Good prices too! My favorite is the Massaman curry, hands down!
We live within 5 minutes of Tea Rose and order every few weeks. I request the massaman curry, everytime. It was time to switch it up with spring rolls and fried tofu- Tea Rose made both so delicious. My partner got the Pad Kee Mao (drunken noodles) and requested no mushrooms or baby corn. It was exactly as ordered. Perfect!Side note-We were in the mood for Noodle Run but it looks like they are changing gears to a sweets and boba shop. Which is great, everything Anny (owner) does is incredible!
Food is great. I went online to order for pick up using their website. Its frustrating that Im charged a fee using their website. I was informed by cashier if I call in an order its cheaper. Rather annoying
Tea Rose Diner is by far our favorite place to go out to lunch while at work. Their spring rolls are amazing and are equivalent to taking a bite of heaven. We personally love their Yellow Curry. Its spice is perfect and is the perfect filling meal. This is definitely somewhere you need to try!!
Amazing Thai food! Best I have had in Utah, or honestly, since I was in Thailand,! But be careful - dont order above a level 2 spice if you havent eaten here before
Best Thai food in Salt Lake City. I recommend the yellow curry or massaman curry, spice level 3.
For many years I have enjoyed this quaint neighborhood Thai diner. The food is fresh prepared with amazing flavors. Take out is available but if you prefer to dine in, have a little extra time or visit just before or after the lunch hour.
Amazing curry. get level 3 if you like really spicy food (they mean it when they say spicy). 4 and higher is pretty extreme.
Great food and fast service. Very nice people.
Hands down, best place to get Thai food around Murray.
Pad kee mao was quite good. Spice level 2 is perfect. The noodles were too oily, so minus 1 star. Service was unfriendly, but thats to be expected in such a place.
I love this place!!! Highly recommend. Good service, great staff, amazing food. Fast preparation, Ive always been pleased and satisfied.
Decent food, the waiter took forever to even notice we were there.
The food was fantastic. So fresh. And delicious
This is a great place to eat. Getting a seat could be a challenge. The pad kee mao was phenomenal at level 2 spiciness. That was the perfect heat throughout without overpowering the flavor of the food. Vegetables were good and a in good amounts. The chicken was well done and also in a good amount. I was really happy with the meal.
This is a great Thai place. We found it on TripAdvisor and it was truly delicious. It was super busy with take out and dine in. Food was so good and big portions that a day before we were leaving, we went there again. Thank you for such delicious food 😋
Got a level 4 out of 7 and was at my limit with spice which is right where I like spicy food. Delicious food
Excellent food and such friendly staff. Best hidden gem around!
Very flavorful authentic Thai! Theyre spicy scale is a bit more steep than other restaurants, so choose your spicy level carefully. You will not be disappointed.
Incredibly friendly staff. Food is divine. However, IT IS SPICY! I am warning you, get the .5 the first time and go from there. The curries are sinfully tasteful.
Really loved the friendly and efficient staff as well as the extensive menu here-- you see a lot of thai specialties you wont find other places. Even still, I really hate the way they cook their tofu, it is much too rubbery, overcooked, etc., So if they would just change that aspect and of course vamp up the dismal decor a bit, I would give this place a perfect score!
Great tasting food. Quick service.
Tea Rose has been one of my favorite Thai restaurants, but unfortunately their spice level varies every time we eat there. This is the third time I have asked for yellow chicken curry with ZERO spice level, and it tastes like its at least a 2, way to spicy for me. I dont Ill be able to order their curry again due to the inconsistencies in spice level.
This place is incredible! I love the food and it is authentic. I haven’t found anywhere in Utah that compares. I love the quaint atmosphere and the kind service. The spice level is very spicy though, I normally get 3-4 stars at other Thai restaurants but here I can barely handle a 1 so make sure to adjust accordingly when you order. I love this place!!
Best pad Thai I have had in AGES.
Great food. Service was and food was quick. Great taste.
35min wait after we placed our order at 5pmish. Busy/dinner rush? Not really, 5 tables including ours and a few online/pickup orders on the table. Pad Thai was very sweet and soggy/to much sauce and asked for 2stars..no stars was added to my order. The chicken larb was underseasoned and very soggy. BUT the service/kid was super attentive...not sure why the rating here is so high? ThT was one of the reason why we went to check it out due to the rating of this place..we were disappointed by the food..
Always so delicious!Love Tea Rose Diner
Delicious little Thai diner. Very busy during lunchtime (probably need more servers), make sure you park across the street on the south side. The Pad Thai was done nicely. I will for sure add more spice next time. Not level 10 spicy yet, but I will slowly and surely get there. Curry selection looked awesome. Will be coming back to try more options.
This Thai food was amazing 🤤🤤 We will definitely be going back for more!!
This is the best Thai food in town! Authentic, fresh dishes with true Thai spice levels!
Great food! One of my favorites
Very authentic Thai food. Pad thai is the best Ive ever had hands down (and Ive visited Thailand). My husband loves the drunken noodles. Their spice level is REALLY high so if you like medium to hot at other restaurants, order a 1 here. They took a while to get on the takeout/delivery side of things and had to quickly adapt during covid, which we had to be patient with them. Their curries have big chunk of vegetables with not as much sauce so they are not my personal favorite there (my husband does love their big chunks and how much they put, so personal preference I guess). Their sticky rice with mango is to die for!!
Theyre food could be hotter. I suggest a 5 when they ask you what hotness you would like
Our go to Thai restaurant! Every dish we have had is so delicious! The staff is super friendly.Just be aware: the don’t mess around with spice! We usually get a 1 or 2 for a decent kick. Our go to is pad Thai and yellow curry. Yum!
The best Thai I have found. It’s amazing. Every dish I’ve had has been top notch.
My absolute favorite Thai restaurant in Salt Lake, any chance I get to come here I take. The Pad See Ew is the standard by which I judge all others against, and their Pad Thai feels relatively authentic and home made. Their fresh rolls could feed a village, absolutely huge and some of the cleanest and most refreshing I’ve ever had. One of my most frequently visited spots in town, always great!
Papaya salad is a hit & miss! We always order from Tea Rose Diner. This last time the sauce was spilled all over and the vegetables were not cut up- BIG chunks of lettuce & tomatoes!
This place it great and I have been here many times. I like Veg. Red curry. If you are ordering at the end of the day, make sure you keep it spice level 0. I ordered online around 7:45PM with spice level 2 and received it like spice level 4. Google shows close time as 9PM but it was actually 8PM. So looks like the lady who prepared my meal was in hurry and made it more spicy. 😅 SO MORAL OF THE STORY, DO NOT ORDER BY THE END OF THE DAY.
Most authentic Thai you can get in Utah!! It’s so good! The staff is friendly and welcoming too! After trying every other place in slc/P.C.... this is THE place to get Thai food! Nothing in the area compares- I promise.
Authentic food and very good taste. No complaints and the staff are always nice. Definitely try the spring roll
Needs better parking
Great Thai food!
My favorite Thai place by far! Best coconut soup around
The Pad Thai was good, the mango curry was phenomenal! Food was ready on time for pickup and my bag of food was out waiting for me, with my name on it. Food was hot when I got home, so I dont think it had been sitting long. Good service yummy food.
I STRONGLY recommend ordering your food face to face. Over the phone resulted in $60 extra in food due to miscommunication. Also, instead of the desert Mango Sticky Rice we just got a container with warm rice. Receipt has all the details, but it was done wrong. Expensive and wasnt even what we ordered. The food that was made was good though.
Sure the food is good, but I had called the order 1 hour ahead and then had to wait another 45 min in the restaurant for the food. Really disappointed especially since I got home to everyone cranky and having already filled themselves on snacks.
I enjoyed it. Their level 1 heat is misleading because its still too spicy for some people. Their appetizers are better in my opinion than their entrees. Overall its all tasty and youll enjoy it.Some of the staff could stand to show some kindness, but Im not going to be bothered by it. Just worth mentioning.
Papaya salad and Panang curry for the win
Wicked good and super fast. Have a great process for order pickup during Covid shenanigans. Tom kha gai is top notch.
The only disappointment is that Ive lived for so long and tried so many bad Thai restaurants before a friend recommended this place she had also just tried. Completely hooked. Will be back!
Pineapple fried rice....yes please.
Authentic, consistently delicious food as well as friendly and attentive customer service. Thank you!
Best Thai in Utah! Their papaya salad and yellow curry are delicious.
Favorite Thai place in slc!
Best Thai Ive had in Utah. I wish they delivered to parts of salt lake city other than sugar house - its such great food!!!
This is my favorite Thai restaurant that I’ve ever been to, and I grew up in Portland OR where there is an abundance of good food options.I love the amount of spice they put in their food. Be warned if you think you like spicy food; it is much hotter than you would think. Despite how hot the food is Tea Rose is keeps the flavor of the food delicious. It seems like other restaurants have an issue where making food spicier actually makes the food taste worse. This is not an issue for Tea Rose.In addition to all their excellent food, the staff at Tea Rose is always great. They are personable and remember customers. It’s a nice touch to walk into a restaurant and have the staff remember you and joke around with you. If you like Thai food at all, you should make sure to stop at the Tea Rose diner.
Great atmosphere with amazing food. Spice things up a bit for a great meal.
Food is really good
Awesome food! Great service. Very tasty, and can be really spicy. They ask you to rate the spiciness from 1 to 5 on your dishes so you can control how spicy it is. I went in at 11 to beat the rush. By 12 the place was completely full and there was a wait. Try this place!
Get the pineapple curry. You can thank me later.
Best Thai food in SLC
You cant go wrong with any of the curry dishes here. This is my favorite Thai place in town. Its tucked away in Murray looks closed most of the time from the outside, but is usually busy inside. Their pad thai is the best in town, Ive tried a lot of pad thai in Salt Lake. Dont order above a 2 spice level if you really want to taste your food. I like my food to be spicy and I usually order my curry at a 2. If youre concerned about spice, order a 0, some days even the 1 is strong. For the price, you get so much food. I order take-out here all the time and will continue to do so.
Its smaller than their sister restaurant Chabar, but just as good of quality and portion on the food. Nor is the service lacking, we were greeted and seated quickly, had them take our order and had our food just as quickly. The staff is very friendly and the smaller location is nice and a little more intimate. Ill definitely be going back!
Great food! Real spicy if u want it!! I love the sweet basil and the awesome staff!!! Real friendly atmosphere. Waitresses are very knowledgeable of the menu.
Dont try the number 10 spice. Do a 3
They dont answer the phone and theres no recorded message.
I really like the favors of the food. I have a mild spice added and its just right for me. Its not a very friendly gluten free environment for those that are sensitive to it. My wife and daughter, who are gluten sensitive, didnt have a good experience even though they ordered gluten free food
I’ve been to ~15 different Thai places in Utah & this one is arguably my favorite. Each curry is awesome and their menu is filled with quality dishes. Service here outdoes many other Thai places. Even at a crowded time I’ve never had much of a wait. Probably the best Panang I’ve ever had.
We were pleasantly surprised by this restaurant! The food was delicious, the service was fast and efficient, and it was a great value. They happily let us split a meal and even brought out the rice in two containers for me and my husband. Weve had a LOT of Thai food in Utah and this is in our top two as of recent date. The only thing well change for next time is the spice level. They let you choose the spiciness and I dont handle spice well, so we got a 1 and it was borderline too spicy. Next time well go with a .5. We especially liked the fresh spring rolls.
I love this place, its some of the best, if not THE best Thai Food Ive had in Utah. Its a small, unassuming, hole-in-the-wall type place, but the food is what I assume is authentic (Havent been to Thailand myself, so I cant claim this factually). At any rate, its very enjoyable! Just watch your spice rating, because their food can get HOT!
This was our first time at the Tea Rose Diner and we only have good things to say. The staff were all so nice, the food was great, and we will return soon! Thank you!!
Used to like it but after today, I will never be returning. The food we ordered was bland and had no flavor, literally ordered a shrimp tom yum but there was no shrimp, just lots of carrots. Our waitress didnt speak to us, just nodded and left, and she also never came to check up on us. Gave us the bill and expected 20% tip?? They used to be busier as well, it was oddly quiet today. Guess now I know why.
My wife and I went here on a double date. One of the other couple is vegetarian and likes this restaurant for its vegetarian options. This doesnt take away that there is also great meat options. The food was great. Quite spicy. I went for spiciness 0,5. Which was still quite spicy. The service was great. They forgot to bring us our cokes, but once they did they were very sharp on the refills. Food portion was good with however much rice you want. After having been finished with the meal and a post meal conversation of over an hour they were still offering refills. The building outside looks like a crap house, but inside it looks good. Definitely one of those very good restaurants which is not immediately spotted from the road.
Excellent food.
Very good. Very spicy
Food Quality: 5/5 - Like it was fresh picked from a garden.Customer Service: 5/5 - Warm welcoming and very friendlyBuilding: 3/10 - Very small building, minor insect problem and homey design to it.Parking lot: 3/10 - Small parking lot possibly 20 vehicles will fill it up.
This is one of my favorite places to eat in the valley. I particularly enjoy the fresh spring rolls, massaman curry, and Thai iced tea. I recommend everyone try this place!
What an enchanting little place. I thoroughly enjoyed my birthday lunch there. Good service, nice staff. A little on the pricey side, but worth it. I will be back often. Good for vegan options too!
