I like to cruise pawn shops on weekends. I have bought a few things here over the years. Tools and archery equipment Mostly. Great inventory and great service. If you need to pawn something they also have the best interest rates and will buy your over priced loans from other shops if you are forced to pawn something on a Sunday.

Always great to deal with them. I use them as my preferred FFL dealer. They are very professional and take care of the customer.

Intro: I haven’t been to a lot of pawn shops recently. Needed a few items for work so I thought I’d drop by this place since it was close and had good reviews. The guys there were really quick to help point me to what I needed. I feel like I got a great deal on what I went in for to purchase.Main Points: know what you are looking for when you go in and keep that in mind. It’s easy to get side tracked by all the other stuff they have there. It’s fun to see what they have, but make sure you handle what you need first and then take a look around. Can save some time.Summary: Good layout of the store. Surprising collection of items that are useful. The team here is no pushy at all. They either have it or they don’t and they are willing to sell it to you if they have it. I’m glad I stopped here first.

I am both a firearms collector and work in the shooting sports industry. Ive sold to and bought from Sportsmans a number of times (mostly the latter, much to my wifes displeasure). They always have a great selection, often including unusual items (which is usually what I am looking for), awesome prices, and customer service that is both knowledgeable and approachable. As an example, just today I stopped at a number of State Street pawn shops looking for a certain revolver. Several had it, but at or above market rates. Sportsmans had it at the best price Ive seen (including gun shows and on-line). Their ammo selection of unusual calibers once saved an important hunt of mine (as what I was planning on using wasnt running well in my rifle).Their southern Redwood location also has a great selection of firearms (Xtreme Pawn, 7106 S Redwood Rd) but often the prices in Murray are a bit better. There are also deals to be had at their northern Redwood location (Sportsmans Pawn, 3930 S Redwood Rd), but the selection is often smaller.

I’ve been stopping by Sportsmans around 4 times a year, for the past 3 years or so. Figured it was time to leave a review.The guys working here are awesome! Always professional, polite, and knowledgeable. I don’t really pawn anything, but this is a good store to shop for tools I need for work, mainly specialized HVAC tools.The store has a great selection of items and I usually find something that I want or need. Prices are competitive, and they are willing to work with you on most of the items they sell. Keep up the great work guys! I’ll see you soon.

John and his team are always so friendly as soon as you walk through the door. I have been a customer of theirs for the last 5 years and I will never go anywhere else. They are always honest, fair, and of course the best priced in town. Grateful to have found the best place in the Valley!

This place is fun. I like to shop around.

Have always treated me fairly. I tend to be bad at my finances. Evertime Ive bought something they have given me a fair deal. When the eventuality comes and I need money, they have always worked with me to get what I need out of a pawn.

These guys take care of you quite well. Have great deals, and quality guns. Ive been going to them for over 6 years for my pawning and buying needs.

Theres no pawn shop more honest and fair than sportsmans pawn. I wont go anywhere else to pawn or buy, I have been going there for years. The staff treat me exceptional and I cant say enough about this establishment.

When u walk in, the staff has always greeted me with kindness and actually make u feel welcome. Ive always got the best price for the items Ive sold there and theyre not too picky about what u have to sell/pawn. That other guy that commented on Sportsmans is right about how theyre not like other pawnshops where they get annoyed if u ask questions or if you have browsed too long. I also love the fact that they buy gift cards-Sweet! Never change guys! 5 STARS from me!

One of the best pawn shops I’ve dealt with. I’ve been here more than a dozen times and have never been disappointed. If they don’t have what I need they help me find it at one of their other locations and their prices are really reasonable and they are usually willing to work with you when it comes to negotiating. If you are looking for a fair honest pawn shop sportsmen’s is the way to go.

I had the most horrible experience in this shop today, by a man that either owns or manages the place and finds it acceptable to bully small women and make false accusations. I asked how much a man wanted for a gun he was going to sell there. Only out of curiosity. I was told not to do that, so I went about my business. When the man with the gun left, I went outside also, both to ask him if he needed boxes (I overheard that he was moving and I have a lot) and to look at their trailers they have for sale.I went back in and was browsing and minding my own business when this man accosts me, yelling that Im trying to steal and threatens me. He accused me of trying to broker a deal and then called me a liar when I said I hadnt.I was afraid he would get violent. He told me hed ban me from the store and I did nothing wrong. Ill never go there again. Worst place ever. A cowardly bully to pick on a women half his size.

Came in with my dad looking for a basic beginner dear rifle the guys gave me a some great options ended up with a nice 270 and my dad bought a 308 great price super helpfully friendly staff and they even threw in a case and a strap. All in all i got a 22 pistol a 270 rifle and a 308 for 600 cant beat that

I have needed these guy more then once and like a lost puppy they have taken me in and treated me like a human several times I have borrowed and payed although I was late called and got extensions this is the best pawn in slc but try them you will see anything of value any amount you need they see value where most pawns dont and are friendly and never to busy even just for advise

Service here is awesome and the prices are super fair I know I’m never being taken advantage of when I walk into this store and that their dealings are honest. I never walk out without a buy that I feel very good about.

Inventory was ok, customer service terrible though. I stayed in the shop for about 20 mins and no one even acknowledged my presence. Called one of the employees for assistance and the guy kept looking over my shoulder at his computer and sighing in frustration as if he had far more important things to do. Who I’m assuming is the owner was chit-chatting with this guy while three other customers walked in and out receiving the exact same lack of treatment I did. Never coming back.

Always honest and fair. I have bought multiple music items and firearms from them and have always been treated with respect and dealt with in fair terms. This is my first stop for firearms.
