I know it can be hard to decide where to take your car, but I promise you, there is no need to look any further because this place is 1000% percent legit! I was driving and the engine started knocking and this place was the closest mechanic. I called them up and said I was down the street and they said bring it on in. I got there in 5 minutes. They came out and immediately started assesing the vehicle.They did a diagnostic and found out that the alternator and belt needed to be replaced. Their work was fast - same day service and completion - they did an amazing job and provided excellent customer service the entire time. I got the car back with a new alternator within hours and it drives like brand new again!If you want fast, efficient, high standards, and complete auto care, this is the best great place to go! I cant thank them enough! I highly reccomend Mountain View Tire and Auto Service!Ps. They even provided a military discount because they support the troops!

This place is great. Took it in Friday morning and got 2 new tires, brakes and rotors done. Brake fluid changed. It only took an hour. Dude at counter even gave me a ride before starting the work on my car. Thanks guys. Great service

On 6/18/2020, I had tire issues. I called a competitor and drove to that place of business with a last minute appointment. However, they got slammed so I called Mountain View Tires and talked with Rick. He said he could get me in and back on the road for a appointment I had in San Diego even though it was last minute. True to his word, Rick and his staff got me back on the road. I made it to my appointment with 15 minutes to spare. Rick and the staff at this location understand customer service. I got new tires, a front brake service, and new ball joints installed. Everything seemed ok at first but the ball joints never loosened up like they said they would and the steering wheel remained very stiff. I had two other shops look at the vehicle and they both agreed the ball joints were installed incorrectly. I talked to Steve Gailey the store manager and he said there was no way they could be installed incorrectly because they do that service over 500 times a year. He also suggested I was taken advantage of by the mechanic who fixed their mistake. The warranty company who reimbursed me and the shop who did the work disagreed. I think Steve either forgot the part of the ball joint thats pressed in or isnt familiar with it. For me, dealing with a manager that denies a situation and attempts to deflect by speaking poorly of another shop he knows nothing about is not someone I would recommend doing business with.

Ive been coming here for several years, never had any complaints about service.Recently, however, I needed an oil change and I went in when they first opened. I was quoted an hour, but the final times ended up being close to two. Not only were they apologetic about the time, but they did not charge me, saying youve been coming here for awhile, and it was just an oil change. Sorry about the wait.It was wholly unexpected, but very much appreciated. Their dependable service had already been bringing me back, but this won my loyalty.

Rick is the absolute best! I showed up just before closing time with a flat. I asked if I could leave my car in the lot since it was getting late, that way they could get to it in the morning. Rick said he’d like to take a look and ran out, he came back in to inform me there was a nail in the tire and within 15 minutes the tire was repaired and I was on my way out. They understand that some are capable of working on their own vehicles (particularly front and rear breaks, changing filters and the like) and are willing to just give you their findings to let you handle it. I trust this place with my car and my money. i dont think iv ever found that before. this place has worked with my budget. they show me whats wrong with my car and explain what needs to be done and why. only thing i can say is try this place out with something small if you need to and work your way up to something huge. i just spent 1k and i feel good about it. my car is working and hopefully nothing else well fail on it. and they look at your car for free at least that helps. other places its 100 just to look.

I love coming here, they are always thorough and do a good job. They discovered during an alignment that one of my new tires had a Bulge and separation of tread. Another place did not catch this the day before. Had I driven it any longer it would have blown.

Customer service the way it should be. They have a great team that hustle to get the job done. If you have a defective tire, they do everything they can above and beyond to help. Truly impressive, its not too often I would speak this highly for a tire center.

Spent over 4 thousand dollars on our truck here and ended up having to take it to another shop, an honest shop to put in another 2 grand to barely get our truck running and now our engine needs to be replaced. Will never use a Mountainview ever again.

Me and my boyfriend came to simply get a oil change and tire rotation they told us an hour and we come back and the car hasn’t even been worked on or moved to be worked on. Asking how much longer and they said another 45 min meanwhile my boyfriend has work in an hour. This place is honestly a joke and I would never come here again, and wouldn’t have came if I knew I would have to sit through this.

Went there this morning to have them change out all my lug nuts, TJ at the front desk very professional and Leroy in the shop did a excellent job. This is the second time here, first time balance my tires and rotate. Defenley have my business from now on, keep up the good work!

Excellent service - I went in for 90,000 check up, and the plastic piece underneath the fender was dragging. When I checked out to pay, I asked the rep if he had any plugs for it. Turns out the mechanic, John, repaired it during the 90,000 miles check up. Wow - this is why I keep going back. Top notch customer service.

Got my car towed there yesterday, they looked at what was wrong with it and fixed both my alternator and battery perfect, they did a great job and took care of it right away same day and my car runs great again, thank you so much, they are the best!

I went to get car looked at for exhaust leak. They told me nothing was wrong they didnt find anything the loud nose was from custom exhaust. So I took it somewhere else pipe was messes up had a hole up to 6 inches long. So they didnt do a good job checking it out because once you raise the car its no way you can miss it.

Okay, so let me quickly share my experience with this dishonest business. Please also keep in mind that I was supposed to be given a fairly good discount in around work because the mechanics here are always treated VERY well at the restaurant I used to work at. Tell me why a wheel bearing replacement came to a bill of just under $700. And even worse, MY CAR HAD A BOLT JUST SITTING IN THE PLASTIC COVER UNDERNEATH MY ENGINE. I took these photos immediately after I brought the car home from their business after the inspection was completed (which is maybe 2-3 miles away). I called them and the gentleman I spoke to on the phone told me to send him a picture if the clearly misplaced bolt. These were the results, proving that this place just might mess something up in hopes of making profit on fixing their own mistakes. On the bright side I found an honest mechanic!

When we made the appointment to have our tires balanced on a 3500 Ram Dually truck, no one said it would be an issue. We arrive only to discover they could not perform the service.They did give us the address of a place that could and paid for half the alignment.

Sadly terrible! Took my car in because the check engine light had come on. My car was running fine, just the light had come on. They couldnt figure out why the light came on! So, they turned it off, said they did an oil change and replaced the gasket. Paid the bill ($200+). Took my car home, but had no power and it was making a horrible clunking noise! We checked the oil, and found there was none! I took the car back in the morning, after I put a quart of oil in it!! They did not like being told there was NO oil in it when they released it to me the evening before. About 2 hours later, they called, said they were done, could do nothing more for my car, and tried to say my car was making the clunking noise when I brought it in! I took the car, which still had no power and was still clunking, to the dealership. Long story shorter, the dealer drained the oil and replaced the filter, which was clogged with whatever sealer was used on the gasket. It cost me another $700+, but my car no longer is making that clunking, and it has power, again! We will not ever take our cars there again!

Dropped my car off at 11:30am today. Called at 3:30pm and the guy didnt even know my car was there. Showed up at 5pm and my car was in the same spot. Someone could have told me they were really busy and I wouldve gone somewhere else. Instead they wasted my day and no apology. Ill never go back!

Honest shop. They dont try and add/create work by diagnosing false mechanical issues. I was told by other shop my vehicle needed shocks for my vehicle. Took my vehicle to Mtn View for a second opinion, the checked my vehicle for free and stated the shocks were fine.

T.J. is an awesome guy, place is clean and you are treated very well. They truly know what they do and very quick with tires, overall I would recommend this place to family and friends.

Went in for my tire protection plan, since goodyear gave me this location. When I went in they told me let me check with the invoice and reference number provided by goodyear. Turns out they didnt have the tire in stock and will be available tomorrow 9AM . I said thats fine. Next day I called around 10AM and no tire. Later called around 1PM and no tire. I said your rep. told me 9AM but there is nothing there? I asked Was it even ordered? Was put on hold and turns out they confused my number and address with someone else. Clearly no organization.So the representative called back and said come in your tire is here. Cool, went in got attended right away. Then when showing how much I have to pay, the representative said I am not worried about charging you for the tire disposal fee. I guess for the inconvenience he knocked it down. I said ok, I left and came home to find the old tire in my trunk. Seriously??? Now I know why he wasnt worried.

We hit some shrapnel in the highway while pulling a trailer. Pulled into Mt. View Tires and were taken care of beyond our expectations. They made special accommodations to repair the tire without having to unhitch! They were professional and kind. Got us back on road in no time!! Thanks guys.

Last week my father passed away and had to fly to europe last minute. I was a wreck, still am and to make matters worst right when i left for the airport found this big ol screw in one of my tires. This shop is in my neighborhood went there on of the managers saw i was distraught and rold him i need to go to LAX asap. In less than 10 min had my truck all fixed up and i started running back towards the office to pay and he just told me. Just go no payment necessary. It was a really hard day for me that day but theese guys and gals made it a little brighter. Thank you so much and bless all of you. I would give 100 stars if there were.

So funny how many people talk about bad experience with tires here except with mechanical problems. I have been here 3-4 times for tires. They say first that my two front tires have warranty i go back a week or two later to get another 2 tires. They said they didnt have warranty on them. So the first time they charged they didnt even ask if i wanted it or not so i didnt know and the 2nd time they did but i didnt get them for the last two tires. 2-3 months later my tires gets flat. I go back they said they believe its the one it has warranty turns out they were wrong and i only have ONE tire with warranty!! A bunch of LAIRS that STEAL your MONEY!! I dont recommend going here for TIRES. Just scroll down and see for yourself how many bad experiences people have here with tires! One thing for sure im never going back there.

I called them to see how much it would be to get the used tires I already bought put on the front of my truck (my tires on the front were so balled so bad I shouldnt even of been driving. They were so bad it was very dangerous for me to be on the road) but I needed to get my tires changed somehow so I drove there very slowly and cautiously, I drove there 5 miles from where I lived. I started driving there after I spoke to them on the phone & the guy told me hed put my tires on for 20 bucks. What I had asked was what the total would be to put the 2 used tires I have on the front of my truck he said 20 bucks I said 20 bucks okay great thank you & hang up & drove there when I get there the first thing the guy says as were walking out of the place to go look at my tires is AS I TOLD U ON THE PHONE its gonna be awhile I got a few cars in front of you which he did not say anything like that at all on the phone but u know its fine I thought Ill wait no big deal.Then he checks out my tires & says yes there fine he will put them on lets go inside & write it up so we go inside he writes it up (still saying nothing about the price yet) asks me if Im gonna get rid of the tires or if he has to & I told him I will he says okay then Ill take off that fee since ur gonna dispose of them okay then a couple more clicks of his mouse & hes printing up the receipt & the forms to sign he puts the paper in front of me on the counter & with a pen points to where the total is & then to where I sign while saying NOW AS I TOLD YOU ON THE PHONE its 20a piece While handing me the pen. I said wait a min 40 bucks? That is not what u said I asked u the total & u told me 20 he said no I told u 20 each (which he did not so I was very upset u know I already barley made it there as it is & the guy tried to double the price on me he tried to trick me he lied to me he was trying to be very manipulating & deceiving) so i said this is ridiculous I have to go talk to my ole man before I agree to anything & I walked out. I knew it would be a very big risk for me to get back on the road again, but I would not allow myself to give that place my business after the way they treated me. It was honestly so disgusting watching them try n be so deceiving just because Im a young female or idk why but it was wrong & they assumed I was naive & an easy target & attempted to play me like a fiddle & I wasnt about to let that happen. I am completely disgusted with this place I cant believe the ratings people gave them Its a shame they dont treat all there customers as good as what some people in the ratings say.
