Chris has worked on my 2002 Tundra for 15 years. He was always honest and did a great job, but not any more. He does not stand behind his work and just laughs and brushes off any complaints. I have had to take the truck to other mechanics to fix his work. Save yourself the trouble and expense and go elsewhere. Highly recommend Les Schwab for brakes and shocks.

Ive been using this repair shop since they first opened. For years they were great. Now that they are successful they dont care about loyal customers. They insist that you make an appointment, but its meaningless. I made an appointment, was on time for a 1 hour repair. When I arrived I was told that I would need a rental, at my expense since they couldnt even look at the car for at least 6 hours.

I come here because they embody honesty, reliability, thoroughness and excellent customer service.

I drove 30 minutes for Chris C to be extremely rude to me. I would not recommend this business for anyone who cares how they are spoken to or treated as a customer who is not educated to the extent of a mechanic. I informed him of the parts needed. He insisted that I was incorrect and should be sure. I insisted that I was but maybe being a young woman encouraged his doubt. I brought a diagnostic from TOYOTA out of the car to reassure him and his response was I can fix it but that doesn’t make me responsible if it doesn’t fix the issue.I came here because of price quote was below my budget. But I learned today that you pay for quality and service.

I was buying a car from a private party and needed someone knowledgeable about a hybrid to check out the car.Murrieta Auto came through! They checked everything and even did a smog check at the last minute.I appreciated their professionalism and thoroughness.

Got screwed over by Mountainview on our truck and they have repaired our truck to the best of their abilities and 100% honest about everything. Family owned, honest and great priced. If we werent moving out of state this would be our forever auto shop, but will be using them to tune up and general maintence, and recommend to everyone we know. I visited the establishment on Wednesday none of the staff or the mechanics are wearing masks no attempt or concerns of social distancing. Place is dirty staff does not clean the counter after use. I did not feel safe. Also there is a very old dead mouse behind there refrigerator in plain sight.!

This place is my usual go-to repair shop. I drive all the way from Oceanside to come here because this shop actually has integrity.As usual they gave great customer service and fixed my Durango. I trust these guys because when I asked Justin for my F & R shocks to be replaced, I asked him to have the strut mounts inspected for wear or damage and if they were to go ahead and replace them.After the shocks were replaced he let me know that they didnt have to replace the strut mounts. They could have easily said that they needed replacement but they stayed honest and didnt fix what wasnt broken.

After dealing with a few sub-par shops and ridiculously poor service at the dealership, I think I may have found a one stop service shop that I would recommend to anyone. The work they performed on my 2011 Sonata was top notch. It rides and handles so much better now. The customer service was excellent and I greatly appreciate all the help. I will be taking my car there from now on.

I like the smaller more personal feel along with the confidence that I am dealing with an honest family owned business that knows my car. After three years still my go-to garage. Brought my car for usual oil change and check. They did a multipoint check, and explained whats recommended. I think this place is great, affordable and professional. I will have my car cared here for now on.

Had to spend $2600 in maintenance on my Jeep due to a blown head gasket which they did an excellent job at repairing only to have my vehicle returned to me with my key broken out of the fob to the point where I couldn’t even leave the parking lot to go home. Had to have my wife get the spare key. And also it looks like they spilled something black on my white fender that ruined my paint in small spots.i have pictures to prove it wasn’t like that the day before I took it in. I called and they tried to tell me I gave them the key to them like that. How would I do that if I couldn’t even start my Jeep with a broken key like that? Also when I came to grab some stuff out of my vehicle they had my tires completely deflated and the rim sitting on the tire wall so that their short mechanic could work on it without using a stool. I now have issues with my tire sensors all the time. They woundnt fix either issues. Sorry but that’s enough to keep me from ever coming back. I get accidents happen but fix them, don’t deny you didn’t do it. I will also be telling my buddies with jeeps to keep away from this place.

Met Justin for qst time today being from Oregon hard to find a real customer friendly garage. Had several issues and we discussed the issues and my jeep was done same day. Went in with an annoying check engine light, EVAP code (damn thing has been on for months), Code P0440.I called over the phone and asked if they could schedule me soon and help me.They told me to come right in after 2 o clock and theyd seat me in and the diagnostic would be $55 - $110.Kinda bummed to be quoted so high to check the code, but it was later I figured they were running a smoke test. Normally running smoke to test is much higher so $110, so I wasnt too upset about it. Thats a fair price. I see shops charging $160 - 185.I pulled up on the lot, gave my keys - read over the usual work.The time took roughly an hour and a half - very fast for looking through all EVAP lines.Came back, he ran me through saying the hose had a vacuum leak. They cut the line and re positioned it, cleared the code and now its fixed. No more code, no more hose leakage, no more worries.And to boot, the quoted $110 turned out to only be $55 because the issue was so minor.These guys definitely know what they are doing and I highly recommend you give them a call if you need any kind of service.Prices are very fair and the timing and work is amazing!Definitely stopping back in if my car or future cars ever need service!

Twice I have had my BMW into Murrieta Auto, being new to the area what brought me in were the great reviews. The first repair was a result of extremley poor experience and service from local BMW dealer. They were reasonably priced and performed the repair in the time promised. As most repair shops do, they looked over the vehicle for potential sources of additional revenue. They provided a list of recommended repairs, which I appreciated even if I did not agree with all of them. When I returned home I discovered a broken engine partition beneath the hood. I was unsure if this was a result of poor handling by the dealership or Murrieta Auto so I kept my peace. When I returned for another repair I looked under the hood to find the engine cover broken. While both these parts are cosmetic for the most part, they do provide protection against moisture in the engine compartment. I complained and had to convince them that it was not broken when I pointed it out to them. While they eventually conceided to replace the part, I was suprised by the denial and pushback I received. I had a few seals replaced on my second trip and they requested I return after a few hundered miles so they could confirm all the leaks were repaired. Low and behold, two new leaks were discovered and a broken coolant tank! Neither of these issues existed when I was in two days earlier. Caution to those considering their services! A pattern has developed!

I first came here years ago with my Kia Sorrento.2 other workshops had fixed the driveshafts within 1 year.Each time, it had cost me over $2,500.00, and 2 weeks without a car.Murrieta Auto Repair knew that this was a part that had been updated by Kia, to stop the problem ever happening again (the other shops didnt have a clue).They replaced my driveshaft within the same day, and it was under $1,000.00 out the door.I have never been anywhere else since.They have fair prices, they do great work, and never make suggestions for things that dont make sense.Are you looking for a good, reliable mechanic? Your search is over, stick with these guys, you cant go wrong.

I am so happy with Murrieta Auto Repair and am very glad that I called them completely by accident! I confused them with another auto places phone number.I called Murrieta Auto Repair upset with my car still leaking and filling with gas fumes after i had taken it in a few weeks earlier (to that OTHER company who misdiagnosed my problem costing me $150). Chris picked up the phone and cheerfully said he would take my car after the dealer (my second attempt at getting help w/my car) told me I had to wait with gas fumes filling my car until Tuesday! Chris & Michelle took me not only at the last minute but even after i showed up late (I drove to the wrong place! and that is how i found out i called the wrong number) I still thought it was the other company!How things went down:I dropped off my car on saturday at 9:10 am when they were very busy and they werent bothered/upset by my being really late! Which i really appreciated I was so stressed out w/my car drama. They were honest and warned me that they were busy and that they were going to look and depending on the problem the repair time could take the whole day or even through to monday, I rented a car before then so I was okay with that. Around 11am I got a call from Chris saying they figured out what was wrong, I had a cracked fuel pump, which is really dangerous. My car could have caught fire! Chris told me the price and it wasnt bad, I was expecting more than 1k and it was only $600 bucks after I added extras since they were in there. By 2:30pm saturday (that same day) they finished the ENTIRE REPAIR. From a customer service point of view they were amazing, they took me in after I was both late & last minute, then they finished my repair early and completely it doesnt smell like gas anymore! When I called them to inqyure about my car they said they had further recommendations, which had me worried, you always hear about that! Those dreaded recommendations. But when I got there in person they actually checked every inch of my car! They were the only people who noticed my back door lock didnt work and that my back window didnt roll down. They showed me on a schematic where the problems were. They also stated that these werent issues that needed my attention immediately but were important if I was going to keep my car long term. Which my car is 12 years old with 170k+ miles and yes, I do want to keep it forever. So I am very happy with this small business, they were so good to me. Thank you!
