Lots of wonderful foods to choose from. Very large meat counter with just about any kind you want. Prices were pretty reasonable, some things were more expensive than other stores. And they have the biggest pork rinds I have ever seen.

I used to go to the Meat department 2 times per week for food service needs. However depending on which butcher serves you the result in service quality goes from Good to Poor. The attitude is horrible, I do not feel welcome10 people in line with the 1 open register. Only 1 register open. The self serve is at maximum capacity with 1 attendant and a long line was forming. Cardenas is now expecting us to do their job of checking us out in line. Why? We do not work their and we pay for our groceries and should get service.Checkers are by themselves now without a grocery bagger. That is not really a big deal, however, the checker does not bag your food. The checker asks if you want bags, gives them to you but does not bag for you. Again, Cardenas expects us to do their job. I asked why they do not bag the foods anymore and the response was, you should do it so you get out of here quicker, if not it will take me forever to do it for you.The Cardenas bags were once a full size bag. Now, the bags are at least 25% smaller. Most grocery stores charge 10 Cents per bag, Cardenas charges 50% more and on top of that will not bag your groceries.*********previous review**********Great prices and great service. Been here about 10 times in past month. They open late every single day. Some customers leave.The plastic grocery bags they sell you smell absolutely HORRIBLE. I can not describe the smell but it gets on my groceries and stinks up my car. Today I smelled it at the register and realized it was the grocery bags. Bringing my own in future. They should really so something about it. Something is surely wrong.

Best Carne Asada around! I like to add a bit of orange juice and cilantro and its amazing for a family BBQ! Counter can be a bit of a wait, but s worth it. Highly recommended.

Nice store but the butchers are soooo slow. Literally at least 3 or 4 working at a time and they take their sweet time. I’ve seen butchers at other stores, way faster.

Love this store, I’m new in the area, me and my Husband came last week the food was great, I had a Mexican ice coffee at coffee shop, I’m glad they have self check out but it’s diferente from other stores you have to put Everything on the scale I had to ask for help like 4 times for me to finish my transaction, I’m not really happy with this type of system

CHECK YOUR EXPIRATION DATES. Never coming back here again unfortunately. I love that they have Hispanic food, but its been several times I buy milk or cheese and it is EXPIRED. I told the manager and she seemed to not care. Adding to this I usually buy taco party trays but the customer service at that counter is slow and rude. They were literally talking to each other for 5 mins not helping anyone. Goodbye Cardenas after constantly shopping here, Ive had enough.

I called the store but they would actually hang the phone. I called like 10 times and they did the same thing. Its really frustrated when they do that. I now how to go to the store and ask if they have masa because I want to do tamales for my sons birthday.

I went to the food area to order a breakfast burrito and the worker by the name of Maribel she gave me the old left over chorizo and then when I got to the register I asked her can I have a medium drink so she gets a used medium cup to get my drink so I told her forget it Ill go for a large drink with a new cup not a old used cup very unprofessional and bad to the health hazard and she doesnt even change her gloves after she threw out the trash and she was very rude telling me do I think she is dirty and I told her yes thats dirty buissness

The best corn Torrillas in town ..and fesh produce, ecxept the Jicamas it seems lkke there is a shortage in the fields and the the ones in the store need to be trown out, they are dry and not.very pleacent to look at...other than that everything its great..

It was bigger than the one in San Jacinto and they still have seeded watermelon but I came for the hass avocados and there 3/5 in San Jacinto there 4/5

Meat cutter was on bad. Mud. I asked if they did not had any more of fresh cheese that was on sale he just moved his head replying no. I said ok if is no more I can get different one no problem. I asked for 2 pounds of different one when he cutter the piece only weight 1.5 pond he started putting slices to complete the 2 pound. Than I said I do not want pieces just get me the bigger piece and I am ok. He got the cheese wrapped up and slapped on the counter. I asked him you are not angry o bad mood are you? He responded to me yes took the cheese to waight on a different scale, slapped the cheese again. I just told him to keep his cheese,, go cool down and I walked away. My opinion. If you cant handle. The estress stay home. Live the position open so someone more professional can get the job

Lots of amazing fresh produce, friendly staff. Very clean and organized. Always have a great experience. Got a cart full of great food (no carne) for only $124! I dont eat meat but they have very fresh array of meat at great prices. Id also like to add, I dont live in Murietta but drive there for the Cardenas.

Cardenas is our GO TO PLACE...within 100 miles, for us to bring home those special things that take us back up....Platanos, Yuca, Goya products, and the meat / seafood available is exceptional...Thanks Cardenas for making me feel like Im not so far away from my Island of Borinquen💙

Here in the meat dept on a Saturday at 4:45 p. Backed up 15 people 2 people working. How ever I speak to Herberto the acting meat dept manager who says he cannot help it only 2 people. But does he step in to help NO! Customer service F!NONO contines to cut meat

If looking to make tamales the masa is great. The meat and veggies are always fresh and really good prices. I only wish it was closer to me.

We use to love to come here the food was real fresh and good from the restaurant they have there but no more is old and dry 😔, second people there is like you asking why do they work if they always seem that they dont want to work or help . Is a little pricey but some of their food like shorizos and other things are good they really have a good yummy Bakery the cakes are Soo good when you order a cake you get what you tell them to do oh and their bollillos they always fresh for real and their sweet breads too . But sometimes dont have lost of vegetables

There were no paper towls to disenfect carts in enterence. Very Dirty floors where the produce was. I even saw a cooked shrimp on the floor.

Im new to this area, but I love Cardenas Markets. They have all the necessary Latin products I use for cooking. Good fresh produce and good cuts if meat at reasonable prices.

Horrible costumer service! The ladies at the taco stand counter are absolutely rude! We got there family deal and the meat had so much gristle on it. The only good thing about this supermarket is that they have good horchata. Save yourself a trip and go somewhere else.

This place is great! Not only is it a fully stocked grocery store with one of the nicest produce sections I have ever seen, but it also has some of the best Mexican food in town. Homemade tortillas, tortilla chips, guacamole, salsa...the list is endless. Great selection of meat. Wonderful bakery which creates amazing cakes on display. You have to stop here.

I do not shop here very often. I do get some groceries there. Their stores seem to have improved over the years. They seem cleaner and neater than before. The service people there usually seem friendly and helpful. The prices seem pretty reasonable.

Extremely clean and tidy supermarket all around. Produce is high quality, well organized, and very reasonably priced. Its got easily one of the largest meat counters in the valley, and the staff is super friendly. Freshly made tortillas, tamales, and a great selection of hot foods as well as salsas make the deli section stand out bigtime. If you normally stick to major grocery stores and dont frequent ethnic markets, do yourself a solid and stop by, very slim chance youll be disappointed shopping here.

Great chicharones, salsa, and quacamole, along with many other Mexican food necessities versus many small stores that have a very limited selection.

We mainly come here to take advantage of the great prices on their produce. Lots of things here are much cheaper than other big chain grocery stores. There are tons of unique Mexican inspired items you cannot find at other grocery stores as well. Their house-made tortillas are delicious, and their deli food and tamales always find their way into my cart! I always get friendly service, and have never had a poor experience at Cardenas. There are many more reasons to shop here, so just do yourself a favor and check it out some time.

Service is. Its not that of a respectable grocer. I have been to many this on is by far not professional. It can go for miles. 30 people line 3 open and I am the last one in 4. She just informed im her last customer. 27 in and same registers open.

Stop putting lard and pork products in the bakery products. It is not healthy. Try to make your products healthier. If you want different culture customer then be creative and smart. Same product could be made with different healthier materials to bring more customers specially now with more new competitors opening month after month.

The store is very clean and organized. Great meat department. It beats Stater Bros. Your fruit and vegetables are also stand out. I give each five stars.Cardenas has many foods you cannot get at any of the markets anywhere near hear. So Cardenas deserves five stars.Dairy products, all canned goods, soft drink and beer isnt competitive. WINCO is five star winner for these.Ill still give Cardenas four stars

Only commenting on the prepared foods area. Good selection of hearty and greasy eats. Generous portions. Prices may be a little on the high side, but the good is good. Dont be on a diet and come hungry.

I really have to take my hat off to this store when I first walked in my first impression was how extremely well it was clean organized and friendly staff. It goes to show how a store like this draws customers. I personally will be returning here for all of my shopping great prices overall. GREAT Job Cardenas!

Cardenas is a Mexican food store. I love the tortillas! But service is really slow ... it took 30 minutes for someone to come and help me on getting a 3 leches cake... cashiers are really slow too. Tacos not so good and it takes 30 min for them to make them...carnitas are delicious!

Have unfortunately taken home bad meat too many times. Need to work on the meat department badly. But the bakery staff and desserts are good.

I have to say this place has gone from a 5 to a 2 1/2. The employees dont seem to care or just dont understand what good customer service is. There are about 4 employees i would say are great, the rest 👎

We went to get a quick lunch. Tacos were good. Employees were quick but grumpy and I found odd that they didnt speak Spanish. (We are talking about a Mexican restaurant inside a Mexican market). Anyways. Language is not required but smiles should be.

I live far and theres meat here that you cant find anywhere else. My go to place for all my market needs.I always call before hand if they have certain bulk of meat and i hurry my way to the store. Now im having trouble getting through and even hanged up Plenty of times. One girl picked up and said yes we have it. I said nice but ill liked to be transferred to the meat department to make sure. She said trust me its there no need to ask other people and hanged up. :/ i called again and now no answer.

Cardenas market has most of the Hispanic food you may need. Fresh groceries, freshly made tortillas, white corn and even blue corn tortillas, and of course everything else you find at a regular supermarket. Shop around for best prices though

This is a new store. Its nice clean and big compared to other Cardenas stores. I like the store because they have probably the best meat market. The meat quality is excellent. If youre having a barbecue you have to shop here.

Could be a bit cleaner. Prices are decently marked. The To-Go food is delicious, their customer service there could use a bit of help but over all not too bad as an overall store or Mexican Food To-Go.

The service at the food court was horrible. We were treated bad. I wanted the family to feel the taste of home made food. It was a really bad experience.

Deli section is very slow. If you arent serving yourself, needing a quick lunch THEY need to prep behind counters or cooked meat, reserve time for an hours wait.

Well today was a bad experience for me and my daughter because we were waiting in line to pay our things to leave but the clerk at register tell us that her line is close so we went to the less items clerk and the clerk tells my daughter that she need less items in order for her do her job, but my daughter tell her that there is no other register open to go. But the cashier have is biggest attitude and she was rude to the other customers.Not only that there were only two cashier clerk open and each of them have 8 to 9 people waiting to pay their items. That ridiculous they should open clerks in order for people get out of there easy.
