I rarely visit Big 5 or any sporting goods stores because they are a little expensive to me, but I decided to give them a shot because I was looking for some small dollar work out weights and items.As expected they were a little more than I wanted to pay, but overall it was a pretty good selection in the store overall and the cashier was really nice and greeted me when I came in. I would recommend if you are buying team gear or after youve shopped around. I ended up getting what I needed from Ross and Marshalls.

Good deals if you sign up for the emails, got 10 dollars of a 50 dollar order. Got some nice running shoes. Just some of the other shoes I wanted they didnt have my size and I had to buy the one up on display

Helpful staff, reasonable prices, decent selection for a small store. Can get most anything sports related in a pinch.

Its a good stop for some sport shoes and equipment for casual use. The camping gear is always good to look at, there is even sport type clothes and hunting gear if thats your thing.

Sometimes angels are disguised as Big Five workers. The other day Joe a chill new part timer pointed me in the direction of Josh, the bike expert! I was having a very hard time but Josh made my experience wonderfully excellent. Muchas gracias! I will mos def be coming back soon and more often.

I like coming in here for affordable light weight sport shirts. People working the store are always friendly with me.

Went to this store today with my wife to purchase ammo for her new pistol. I was surprised they had some stock. Manager came to help us and was quite condescending.and annoyed we were there. It was as if he was to busy for us and just wanted us to leave (we were the only people in the store). Anyway I asked for a couple of prices for the ammo and tried to purchase a couple boxes. I told my wife I didnt have my wallet on me and she would have to make the purchase. Nope; Mr. Manager wasnt having it. So we left. Apparently its against the law for me to ask for prices for ammo for my wifes gun. Wont be going to this store ever again. Especially with ignorant power triping store managers who think they are God almighty .making $12/hr and dont know California gun/ammo laws.

Got my kids school shoe shoes great deal

I called ahead to make sure they had it in inventory. The person suggested he could put it at the front under my name on his own. He didnt. I wanted to try on some shorts but they are still closed due to COVID-19. I asked if they had a bathroom. Nope. Covid-19 nonsense again. The ladies at the front were soso at best but the prices were fantastic. Their next step is to get back to business. Covid-19 has killed how many healthy people worldwide? Less than the fingers on one hand. It doesnt impact their customers yet they act like Democrats.

I was called out upon entering for a mask. Maybe in June 2020, but not June 2021. Even Walmart is mellow on the masks. I guess the team at BigF puts hassling people above serving those in line. You lost business.

A lot of floor space in transition with products being moved around, but still found what I was looking for eventually.Products not having pricing on display meant I had to hunt down a staff member who then used his phone to see the prices online! Just go online for enquiries!

I love this place. There is a decent selection of running shoes, hiking shoes, and work boots that run from economical, to medium grade. Theres also some great camping accessories, and sports equipment. Its not a high end store but for something you need in a pinch or if you dont want to spend a lot of money its got a pretty good selection. Additionally I have always had great customer service. Im approached and asked if I need assistance every time I visit. Thats high end in my opinion and greatly appreciated.

This place seems to always have something I end up buying. They always have the sizes I cannot find anywhere else. I keep telling myself that I should quit even driving by that place as they always have a sale going on and I buy stuff.Store is clean and located in a strip mall that has other offerings worth looking at. Plus there are various places to eat that are next to Big 5 and in the immediate area. One stop shopping in most case and food to boot.

Sporting goods wise, Big 5 is a good place to find your sporting equipment. Their shoe sales are usually quite a money saver. Their employees are helpful and really try to help. It is even fun to just window shop there. They have a well stocked fishing and hunting dept and a wide range of of outdoor products. Big 5 is a good place to go for your sporting good needs!!

Had 9mm ammo but no 308. Hard to get anything these days, but at least had a little left, until I got there, lol!

Super service! Looking for something simple like a Tetherball can be trying with all the fabulous items sold at this store. Asked a young fellow in the shoe Dept for help and he searched until he found what I needed. Totally went out of his way to assist me. At check out stand advised manager of his great service. This person and this store are fantastic!!

I understand current times are tough, economic impacts are taking its toll on local businesses, but todays experience (trying to purchase ammo) leaves me absolutely no sympathy for this store. Never again. I was told because the store was shorthanded & lunch breaks needed to be given to other employees, I wouldnt be able to be attended to for at least an hour... Polite way of being told to take my business elsewhere... Poor salesmanship in times of hardship. & no, they werent overwhelmed with business... Lazy is lazy...

Ammunition deliveries are Thursday mornings. Youll have to get there prior to opening if you want to be one of the first people in line.

Its a bit disheveled inside (a lot of stuff crammed into a smaller store). But they always have great deals on their shoes and camping supplies. A decent selection of air riffles, beebee guns, hand guns/riffles and ammunition. Check their website for weekly deals.

I can give this store three stars, because they have a pretty decent selection of womens athletic shoes, and the guys who helped us in the shoe department were very friendly & super helpful. This store is good about honoring the 30 day price drop refund, as long as you still have your receipt.The so-called managers here (who can usually be found huddled up at the registers), are not very friendly at all. They seem to have rude attitudes toward customers, and they arent very helpful. Like most places these days, many of the employees here would probably benefit greatly from some really good & frequent training.

Big 5 is a real sporting goods store, has been since I was a kid. Good regular prices and selection! They have outlasted Sports Chalet and Sports Authority for a reason. Support your local brick and mortar sporting goods store, dont let Amazon or Walmart win.

This place is good for what it is, a cheap alternative to larger big box sporting goods stores. The people at this location are always helpful, if not always knowledgeable, but who knows everything? The prices on sale items tend to be below value, which is what we as consumers want in a sale. While there is not an overabundance of product, Im sure thats one of the reasons prices are kept low. While you may not find everything here, you are almost certain to find what you need.

Like shopping here, just bought a pair of hunting boots, on sale, water proof ! Easy in easy out, close to fwy. Food, and other stores close by. I shop here alot.

One person in back, one in front always and occasionally someone usually a man is at the tack counter. Not size friendly for full size men and women ..Even children and teens at that.

Literally went for basketball shoes and they only had five pairs. When I asked if they had any more in the had any more in the back I was told what they had out was all they had. However, they had about 50 pairs of football and baseball shoes. The store itself isnt a big location, and they have it jam packed with product but nothing I was looking for. Such a bummer.
