We ordered the AL “L”Island kit from DIYBBQ. There was a delay receiving some of the shipment due to supplier delays but it was worth the wait. Customer service helped me out and sent me additional parts needed for the oversized grill and smaller storage doors. This kit takes time to build but we could not be happier. Thank you DIYBBQ.
As a disabled veteran with 28 years of military service, I recently moved into my new construction home that my builder installed a 42 fireplace insert purchased from DIY BBQ. The insert looks very nice in the custom chimney built for it! I bought the glass doors for the fireplace insert, and I didnt know that my builder bought the glass doors also. My dissatisfaction with DIY BBQ is that I just moved into the house and found in the back of the garage the doors I had bought. When I called to returned them, I was told they would not accept the return as it was more than 30 days! I asked for a credit or a partial refund and was told, No! I would strongly recommended all customers to not purchase or deal with DIY BBQ, as they do not value their customers and lack good customer service! The owner wouldnt even speak to me! Wow!The funny thing is I am now in the market for a new fireplace insert for my ski house is Colorado, and I would have shopped at DIY BBQ.*One star is too high a rating for DIY BBQ!Very disappointed!
Erin, was the most knowledgeable and helpful person I have dealt with buying merchandise on the internet. She picked items that were in stock and designed the components that were in stock.. I processed an order for 1100 dollars and after 13 days of hearing nothing I have to chase someone down at the company only to get told ..... oooppppssss not available. Maybe an email would have been nice. Then I cancel the order only to not get a refund. I was told by the representingagent that not their problem. Unbelievable bad service, selling expensive items that are not even available. No communication and flat refused to assist with a refund. BBB bound I guess.... Be careful with this one.
It seems they will adjust their return policy in their favor.. I ordered 2 fireplace inserts and 2 blower kits. The blowers shipped next day. The fire places werent a brand listed under the delay on the website. We ended up having to go another route with the fireplaces due to huge delays. When I asked to return the blowers I was told Id had them over 30 days and it was against their policy. I asked to cancel both fireplaces, I was told one had already been shipped, I asked to cancel the other. I was told it would be canceled but Ive YET to receive a refund almost 2 months later. I asked to return the fireplace that did arrive SAME DAY and was told it was too heavy and too expensive to return, yet it was within their 30 day policy.. Had they canceled like I asked I wouldnt be in this situation. Now Im out about $1700 between blowers and a fireplace just sitting and one that has yet to be refunded. Hoping this will finally get to the right person who can resolve this issue!
We had a custom bbq being made and order a pricey outdoor refrigerator from this company and did not open the box until it was ready to be installed. The item was very badly damaged once opened and due to some VERY small print on their terms and conditions they refused to help us.. I highly suggest you think of using a company that has better customer service and better terms that 24 hours notice from delivery.
The worst customer service. I ordered a fireplace insert in June and was told delivery in 2 weeks, for 3 months. When it arrived in Sept. it was the wrong product. Another month later I am still waiting for a response to get the correct item or a refund.
I had been waiting since May 2021 for a Lynx Pizza oven that was to be shipped in 5 week, the 8 weeks, the 10 weeks then it became 12 + weeks. In August the 23rd of 2021 I called to cancel. They told me it would be 5 to 10 days to get my refund of $4800+ dollars, it is now Sept 2021 and no refund. I had to open a dispute which they refuse to acknowledge. I have called them several times and I received an email that reads as if I have done something wrong! They should not take a customers money in full until they have the merchandise, and should refund as promised. I will not be doing anymore business with this DIY BBQ in Murireta ever again.
Order #45425: The delivery date has moved several times (at least 4). It’ll now be at least 4 months late (if they keep the Sep ETA).If I dont keep asking, they would not communicate delays or do anything to help manage the situation. I understand that the delays may not be DIY BBQ’s fault, but they did have misleading information on their website when I placed my order back in May. They made it look as if they had the product available and they didn’t. They charged my CC right away and frankly this is starting to feel like a scam.Some of their customer service people are “nice” but won’t do much to help and won’t return calls or follow up with solutions. In the last chat session I had with Jennifer today, she even suggested that I cancel my order. I can’t do that at this point as it would mean a cancellation of my whole project. I did not appreciate that she was in this “take it or leave it” attitude with ZERO customer empathy.Dan - I hope you read this and get involved to fix this.
I ordered the Blaze 4 burner grill, cover, and pizza stone a few weeks ago. My salesperson Ximena was outstanding. She was very polite and concise while taking my order. She answered my MANY questions and made sure that my order was complete and to my satisfaction. Delivery was very fast as well. I cant say enough about my interactions with this company. I cant wait for my outdoor kitchen to be built.
While this started off a little rough, after the owner got involved, the problem was resolved. My items were finally shipped on the agreed date. They are installed and working great. UPDATE: This is heading in the right direction. The owner communicated directly with me and worked with the manufacturer to get the product shipped same day - yesterday. Once I receive the product, I will post another update. UPDATE: The owner is personally taking care of my order. I am looking forward to receiving my order ASAP. I will update this review as the process goes along. ORIGINAL POST: I ordered four items two weeks ago. All but one item was listed as in stock at the time of my order. Little did I know that they were not planning to ship anything until all the items had arrived. I called and cancelled the item that was holding up my order, and I was told that the other items would ship. I looked online to see if I could track my order, but there was no indication of what was going on with my order. Then I called again. This time I was told that two other items were not available. I insisted that they ship what they had. I was told 8 days ago that it would ship the next day. You can guess what happened next. I called again three days later to find that NOTHING HAD SHIPPED. This time I was told that two of the items would ship the next day. Here we are two weeks later and STILL NOTHING HAS SHIPPED. Of course, its Friday and I was GUARANTEED (as I was on a previous call) that it would ship Monday or Tuesday. Same song different verse. A little bit louder and a little bit worse.
Read the reviews and make your decision. I needed a small Lyon grill part, they showed to have it so I went for it. My Mistake.. 1 week to ‘process’ the order, another week ‘awaiting’ FedEx pickup, now another week for delivery… I would not buy from them again, right now I am waiting to see if I am even getting the right part based on other reviews.
Placed an order online. A week later I got an email stating the order would be delayed 6-8 weeks. Once I got that email I called and canceled the order. Six weeks later the item showed up and my CC was charged. I called them three times, each time leaving a detailed message about wanting to return the item, and gave them 5 business days in-between messages to return my call. THEY NEVER CALLED ME BACK. Since they are not willing to work with me I got my CC company involved. Now Ive got several hours wrapped up into something that should have been simple for them to cancel. After a second call to my CC company they were able to get Dan you dont need my last name on the phone who rudely agreed to allow me to return the item.Reasons to avoid DIY BBQ: 1. They do not return phone messages (why even have voicemail then?) 2. They did not cancel my order, despite telling me they did. 3. If and when you do finally get someone on the phone they are disrespectful and rude.Buyer beware - DOT YOUR Is AND CROSS YOUR Ts because if ANYTHING GOES WRONG THEY WONT HELP YOU MAKE IT RIGHT!
I ordered a mini fridge and it was supposed to have free shipping. Now they are reaching out to me and want an additional $125 for shipping. Very disappointing. This is the same price with free shipping everywhere but now i have to reorder elsewhere and wait all over again for my item.
I placed an order with DIY BBQ online in early August 2021. Ordering was a breeze and despite the warning of supply chain delays due to COVID my 4 items shipped in two days. My elation went to disappointment as soon as I brought the package into the house. The shipping label claimed the package weighed 46.2lbs but obviously could not have weighed more than 8lbs. Gave DIY BBQ the benefit of the doubt and checked to see if Fed Ex dropped off all the packages and they did. The package was also undamaged and adequately stapled shut. Inside was 4 metal pieces and A LOT of crumpled up paper to ensure the 4 pieces did not shift around during transport.At this point I enter the nightmare zone as I have to deal with a customer service group that is the worst I have ever dealt with in my life. I sent them pictures showing them what I received but all they can say to me is We had fedex investigate this shipment as well and they confirmed that your shipment did indeed weight 46.2 pounds which is the same as our records show, 46.2 pounds is the combined weight of the 4 items you ordered. Im so sorry, but we will not be able to send you out any replacement items. Here is the fedex link to start a claim with fedex. Really?Do not do as I did and trust the Yelp reviews. This company really does live up to them and then some.
Another Amazon story. Ordered through Amazon. Product was broken. Emailed Daniel who asked for picture of broken item. Sent picture and was promised item to be shipped a.s.a.p. After a few emails as to when I would receive item, Daniel stated he would check. This started April 23, today is May 26. I will check with shipping. I think replacements did not come until Friday. It should ship tomorrow That was May 16......still no item and am going to return the order. Check all reviews on Amazon and you will find out how bad this seller is....dishonest and not worthy of being in business in the US!

My husband and I ordered framing to build our own outdoor BBQ. We drove down to the Murrieta store and Dan stopped what he was doing to answer our questions and help us place our order right there in the store. We researched what framing to get and DIYBBQ has the best prices and products out there for anyone wanting to build their own BBQ.
I contacted the company via Amazon twice with their emailed reply of the tracking number and later, I will check on your order. This was from Daniel, the owner. When I attempted tracking the shipment with the tracking number they provided, UPS showed the label had been prepared but it had not shipped. I then telephoned their office three times on three different days to inquire why they had notified Amazon my order had shipped and provided me with a tracking number when UPS showed they had not picked up the order. Again, I was told they would check on it and call me back the same day. I never received a call back any of the three days by either of the people I spoke with, Houston twice and Amelia once. I was told they could not reach the owner, Daniel. On the last day of my promised delivery window, I received a notice from Amazon that my money was refunded. Reason: I had RETURNED the product (that I never received). One of the worst ordering experiences I have ever encountered. This company is not up to Amazons standards. I would never order anything from them again! I would recommend you do not either. I AM JUST HAPPY I GOT MY MONEY BACK!

I received a notification several weeks later that the item shipped, but the UPS link this company provided still indicates UPS has not received the package. I have called and emailed multiple times asking to cancel my order and refund my money with no response. DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY. TOTAL RIP OFF.
STAY AWAY! horrible service and customer service. Bought a grill on April 9th as it stated on the website that the grill will leave the warehouse in 3-4 weeks. After 6 weeks i had heard nothing so i called and spoke to Jennifer who told me that due to COVID the shipment was delayed and that it would take 8 weeks to get to me. After 8 week i still had heard nothing so i used the chat widget on the website to chat again with Jennifer and was told that it would now be 10 weeks. After 11 weeks i again had heard nothing so i chatted, again with Jennifer, and was told that now I would not have delivery until August 3rd - nearly 17 weeks after ordering and without one update from the company. To top it all off Jennifer simply told me that she can refund me if i dont want to wait - no apologies or any sense of trying to make this right. Terrible company and customer service.. my advice is go with a reputable company!Update: had a call with “Erin?” Who proceeded to argue with me that i didn’t actually order the grill with them that I actually ordered it from twin eagles and that they are not responsible. Weird as I paid Diy Bbq!! She insisted that I have to request a refund by email, which I have done.. im betting this will not be a straightforward process as some other reviewers have alluded to!
They dont even deserve 1 star. On September I ordered a 39 Inch Access Door & Triple Drawer from this company. Company never responded to status emails and phones calls, emailed cancelling the order and no response. I received my Order in December 15. I called the company and finally was able to exchange emails, was told they cant provide me with a return label. Very dude people, their chat customer service is the worst. STAY AWAY FROM THEM!!!! They are a total Joke!
If I could give this place a negative star rating I most certainly would. I ordered my unit August 12 and it didn’t ship until August 27th. I didn’t receive a single update during this time. I called multiple times to check on the status. I received no response. It arrives September 2nd through R+L Carriers. Apparently they neglected to ship it on a pallet or even in a box so it was BADLY damaged. I get a call from R+L September 10th telling me all of this information. They tell me I have to sign a damage notice, Ok. Product shows up and the entire frame is cattywampus to the extent it can’t even be salvaged. So I send it back. In a stroke of Providence I reach the office when they aren’t of Siesta. I iterate to them I’m not happy and I’ve sent the item back expecting a refund. Fast forward A WHOLE WEEK. I finally get a call for return confirmation. I have the pleasure of speaking with Dan, the owner and he proceeds to be extremely rude after I tried to be rational. Cutting me off from explaining the situation, talking over me and offering what is quite possibly the worst customer service experience I’ve ever had. He then proceeds to call me a scum bucket after I offered the possibility of them shipping it again properly. He called back to apologize and I acknowledged that I was absolutely within the lines being frustrated with his customer service and these results because I paid good hard earned money for a product and tried calling several times getting no response. DONT BUY FROM THESE PEOPLE.
I ordered a complete BBQ setup and paid them over $4k. Its been over a month now and I havent heard or received anything. Ive tried to call them, email them, and even use their online help portal. Nothing back from them. I guess Ill have to file a fraud claim with my credit card company.
Serves me right for not reading the online reviews for this retailer. Everything the previous one star reviews state is absolutely true. Ordered 3 items on 7/6 that I asked to be shipped together, and thank goodness they ignored me and shipped them separately or I would not even have gotten two of the three items. The remaining item is still missing, with no updates from customer service or anyone else Ive actually managed to contact there in the past 3 weeks. Completely non existent customer service. SCAM SITE? As far as I can tell at this point, it seems this is a scam site. Ordered and paid for a product 10 days ago, website said to delivery 2-3 days...and Ive gotten no product and no communication. Contacted through their web-site ticket system for an update and still no response. **In Response to your response, I received no email. I used your own ticket system from my login and there is STILL no response there. But thanks for the refund. I will go elsewhere.
SCHEME stay away .So I share same experiance with those honest legit 1 start customers.i have already reported this businessto BBB, I have well documented emails, call logs and the promise that Mr Daniel will call me back after his back from his vacation .and let me tell you in 3 months he have taken 3 vacations, a month each .so so far his no where to be found.im not in to the money anymore(refund) as much as I have taken it personal with this bussines. They are crook and dishonest people, they sent me a product that not only dosnt fit and totally wrong item, but its not compatible with CA building code .
UPDATE: Order #36518. I received a response on this review from the owner 3 weeks ago that he would take care of it but I am still waiting after several more calls to their customer service.Should be ZERO stars... I ordered a built in BBQ from this website in June 2020. They processed my payment immediately but then told me that the item was on backorder. I waited, and waited, but the BBQ was never available from the manufacturer. That might not be DIYBBQs fault and is likely due to Covid. But in September I gave up and requested a refund. It is now November and Ive been told (for about the 10th time) that they will process my refund this week. I may need to get a lawyer involved and wonder if their business is solvent and they are trying to hide the fact that they are going out of business while they continue to charge new customers. I suggest you steer clear of doing business with them!

Went in to look at bbqs. Dan took the time to share his knowledge of each BBQ, answered all of my questions, not trying to sell me on any one product but sharing his knowledge to educate me so I could make my own decision. I went back two additional times with more questions before making a purchase. At the end of the day he beat the competitions price and provided excellent customer service while doing so.
On 06/08/2020 I ordered a 6ft straight module and two cut off my items with a 24 to 48 hours shipping promise. After several calls last week they promised, that since it was small order, it should be out by last Friday. Today 06/26/2020 I got only what I believe are the cut off. After doing a lot of research, I decided to purchase my BBQ from DIY BBQ. I ordered the BBQ island, BBQ, Fireplace, sink, doors, drawers, refrigerator, side burner and a second island. Dan was great to listen to my needs and answer my questions. He went above and beyond to ensure I had a great experience. The quality of the product and ease of assembly made this the perfect weekend project. My overall experience was great. I would recommend and purchase again from DIY BBQ.
I Purchased a full set of equipment and frames for 3 islands. Dan was super helpful with questions on assembly. The units were super easy to assemble. I would highly recommend Diybbq and would use them again on future projects. Thank you, can’t wait to light up the BBQ🎉
Dont do it. I ordered 4 valves on Monday. Six days later I have no shipping notice. They dont answer their phone, they dont reply to emails, Ive left two emails and two voicemails and heard nothing. Im going to reverse the charges on my credit card and order from somebody else. I wish I wouldve looked at the reviews before I ordered from them.
I purchased Twin Eagle cabinets, doors, and Lion dual burners from DIY over BBQ guys because it looked like the products would get to me faster. I was a little skeptical at first because BBQ guys website had more reviews and they seemed like a larger company. There ended up being a bit of a delay from the manufacture not any fault from DIY. I called with questions about the hang up. DIY contacted the Twin Eagle and got answers right away. Austin was great assisting me in the situation. Dan also answered questions for me over email. The customer service was excellent. Everything delivered in great shape right to my house. I would definitely purchase from DIY again over other online companies for my outdoor grilling needs.Kyle
Their customer service is beyond a joke. All the questions I have asked have gone unanswered. Online chat shouldnt even be on their site as they are unresponsive and not helpful. Got a delivery yesterday and the tracking said it was all delivered but there as no packing slip so I asked and got no response. Oddly enough, today I got ANOTHER delivery (even though everything said delivered yesterday) and it is the piece I was missing. Funny enough I had two orders and the second order got here at the same time as the first even though the websites tracking said it was shipped 5 days earlier and both were sent UPS Ground. I cant even comment on the quality of the actual product as I cant get past the horrific customer service as the product might be awesome but if your customer service is terrible, no one will recommend you as the entire shopping experience was a nightmare and I paid separate shipping for two little items to come with the first because customer service on the online chat was useless.
I made an order for almost $800 worth of parts on 4/30/20. It took over a month to get the parts. When I called looking for the status I felt like they had an attitude with me and blamed it on Covid. When I finally got the order it was missing $150 worth of the parts I ordered. I have called them probably 10 times looking for the parts. When they actually answer the phone they tell me they will take care of it. They have never done what they said. They have never called or emailed me back. Its 7/22/20 and I still dont have my parts or my money back. I had to file a claim with my bank to get my money back. I have had to go half of the summer already with no BBQ because of this and they could care less. They already have my money! DONT BUY FROM THESE GUYS!!!!

I ordered a BBQ island, all of the doors/drawers, and a fireplace through DIY BBQ.Pros: the equipment and steel is high quality, and the prices for the equip (not the steel frames) are good.Cons: Like others have said, several times including a door and steel pieces were missing from my order. I can understand this, though, as I had 3 pallets of materials delivered. the directions for the fireplace are terrible, at best. It doesnt even give a parts list. The BBQ island directions are OK. If you call in, Dan can be very helpful and has a ton of knowledge. I wish I could say that for other employee, Rochelle. She admitted to never assembling the products and had no idea how to answer any questions, other than saying she would get back to you by tomorrow. At times she was rude. Well, dont plan on a call back by the stated time.Overall: Everything turned out good, and I get compliments; however, I would not buy through them again. You can buy all of the materials through your local hardware store and save $1,000s. If Dan were to answer all calls and package the products himself, Im sure the experience wouldve been much more pleasant. On another note, Dan did become agitated when I told him that they may have forgotten to ship an item for the 3rd time. He stated that it was my fault I didnt go through all of the products. Well, a proper inventory wasnt provided (I can post if anyone would like), and half of the parts were not labeled.
Do not, under any circumstances buy from this company. There is no customer service. They will not ship you the order correctly and will not stand behind it. Buyer beware that you will be very remorseful if you choose to purchase from them.
I purchased a fire pit and a drop in fire Pan. The fire pit was missing parts and instead of the fire Pan they sent me a Pan cover. I called many times no one is answering any calls, emailed them, left many voice mails with no answer. I even sent a chat when it said we are on line still nothing. Now I have a skeleton of the fire pit that I cant finish. Horrible experience.
What can I say DIYBBQ is great! I dealt directly with Dan. I sent him my design and he fabricated it to the Tee. From start to finish my experience was seamless and effortless. All the equipment and appliances came in perfect condition in a timely manner ready to install. Final product came out great! Thanks DIYBBQ
Wonderful Experience at DIYBBQ!!! Not only for BBQs! Was looking nationally for a particular gas fireplace and found exactly what we needed and even better, it was local for the best price. Owner Dan and staff were great - answered all my questions, helped me place the order and in one week, I had my item. Highly recommend!
I ordered fire place from this place I talk to dan he was nice and help me order fire place told me what I need and what parts I should get and that includes the door, I got the fire place we had to wait a month to install it then I waited until the construction was done until I put the doors which it turns out it was the wrong ones so I called and I was told someone will call you back by next day after one week no call I called back I got the owner Dan and I told him what happened he was rude and made it sound like he is doing me a favor by excepting a return but I have to pay for shipping, why would I pay for shipping if it was his mistake and told me what to order, don’t buy anything from this guy very rude and unprofessional.

Thank you so much for manufacturing such a great product and for the easy support. I love that this is manufactured in the USA. The parts fit together perfectly and every screw was easy to install. This was a big BBQ with an L Shape and a bar counter. . Your frame went together in a few hours. I am almost done attaching the cement board. I recently purchased a DIY BBQ 4ft Straight Modular Frame Section 36 Standard Height and a BBQ cut out kit to suit. I was very pleased with the quality of both kits, the online instructions, the speed of the delivery and the ease of assembly. If I ever need to build another similar installation, Ill be sure to use DIY BBQ.
I bought on 11/ 17/2019 a Sunstone over/under 14x12 single basin insulated wall ice chest with cover and when I received the item, the cover was dented. I took pictures of the damage piece and sent to Dan at DIYBBQ. It took 2 months to have the part shipped due to the fact that the supplier had to manufacture the piece. All resolved and good !
I purchased a L shape BBQ kit from DIYBBQ, So far quality is good, however the instructions manual is poor I would even say that my 12 year old can write a better one. I find deviations between parts in the manual to actual parts provided. For example they say that you must leave extra 2 for cut outs, but the track that they provided are cut to length and dont allow extra 2. I figured that it will work but found the manual confusing and spent to much time to figure this. Another example was poor illustrations for how to connect hangover bar to the frame ( I figured it out too) but a nice and cleat photo would do the job. They have old and new manuals on the web, this just get things more confused both are done poorly. The phone support is good when they answer, however better manuals and some you-tube videos will save many questions and time.I would probably give them more stars if they had better guides and more available tech support during the weekends.If you buy a kit soon and its first time, bear in mind that it will take a while to build it. I hope that they will fix the manuals and put some videos online soon.

So Frustrating-bad customer service.My first order was place May 25th. I received most of my order within the first 2 weeks but was missing one item. My second order was placed Jun 1st. This order was missing 3 items. After submitting claims and email online several times without any response, I called and spoke to Dan who said he would get the missing products out. Well, I received 3 of the 4 items this week (3 weeks late) but am still missing one. No call or email from the company....ever...terrible customer service. Like, the worst. I have called today twice but no one is answering the customer service line. I would NOT recommend this company.
After doing a lot of research before making a purchase I decided to go with diybbq. Ended up with a Lion 32 grill and the combo drawer/door. Talked with Dan on multiple occasions. He was always available, willing to talk, very knowledgeable and not afraid to offer an opinion. Great experience working with Dan and diybbq website.
DIYBBQ is GREAT. Bought parts for our bbq island and our firepit from them and they are FAST with responsive customer service and a great attitude! Highly recommend.
DIYBBQ answered all my questions using their website chat. I placed my order and they promptly delivered high quality products including a natural gas grill, a metal frame kit, 3 door/drawers, an outdoor refrigerator, and a drop-in ice chest. I used their online videos to study the kit assembly because I had never worked with metal framing materials. I built my outdoor kitchen with an occasional helper. I only hired one trade to install granite counter tops. My kitchen includes an 72 x 28 island bar, a 48 x 30 island grill, and a 72 x 28 attached sink. I highly recommend DIYBBQ.

I ordered $3,000+ of fireplace equipment from them. When my $200 fireplace doors were stolen because the FedEx driver delivered them across the street (he told me himself), I informed DIY because Fedex wouldnt let me make the claim myself because DIY was their customer and not me. DIY filed a claim that Fedex denied saying the driver told them he delivered it to my house. Dan from the DIY customer service department was incredibly rude to me on the phone and unwilling to help me out and said it was tough luck. I asked him to advocate for me with Fedex but he refused. I guess Im out $200+ for the fireplace doors that were stolen?
Horrible customer service. Ordered new burners for my grill April 23rd. No contact whatsoever by customer service. Emailed April 30th asking where my items were. No response. Contacted customer service via online chat and I was assured my items would be shipped May 15th due to being back ordered. Nothing. Emailed twice more after that: No response. Finally called today and spoke to a very discourteous and rude gentlemen blaming the manufacturer for the lateness with no acknowledgement of their lack of communication. Told me to call Cal-Flame direct and offered to cancel my order. If I could give negative stars I would.
I wanted to make an outdoor bbq, and while in the beginning, I thought I’d do everything on my own (cutting and buying the metal stock, etc...), I quickly saw the benefit of working with a company that specializes in the manufacture of the modules.I modeled everything in Sketchup, and figured out which modules I needed.We ended up going with a Lion 4-burner grill, and a Primo Ceramic grill. DIY BBQ and their customer services level we absolutely invaluable to me in making purchasing decisions, design decisions, and ultimately finishing material decisions.I will gladly pay extra for good customer service, because my time, and the amortized cost of a project like this makes it completely worth it. Luckily for me, DIY BBQ has great prices (the Primo was the cheapest price I found by far!), on top of gr at customer service.I had a chance to visit the company to pick up what I’d ordered. This is a legitimate “Made in USA” business, and the owner takes pride in his work, and going above and beyond to make his customers happy.
I ordered a grill and matching side burner as this was the only place that had them both in stock (website says they both would ship in 1-2 days). After a week and a half, my order was delivered but without the side burner. I called Dan at DIY BBQ and asked him for information about when I would receive my order. He said he would check and let me know. Dan did not return calls or send me any updates, so I have continued to call and ask for updates. Finally, today, he says that the burner will not ship until July (even through the website says it is in stock). This is really frustrating. Im just going to cancel my order and buy a side burner from someone else. I will end up with a grill and side burner that do not match - which is exactly what I was trying to avoid by buying from these guys.
Terrible experience. We ordered a 48 x 6 linear pan on Nov 14th. When ordering it lists a 1-2 day shipping date. Two days later, we didnt have a confirmation number for the shipping. We called on Friday, the 16th to get a tracking number and no return call. Then, we communicated directly on Saturday when Dan Olskzo stated that his computers were down(they had a glitch) and he couldnt see our order but it probably had already been shipped. After looking it up, he realized that our order had yet to be shipped and stated it would be shipped on Monday the 19th. We called back on Monday to get a confirmation number again and they did not return a call. On Tuesday, we called back to be told that they order from a vendor called American Fire and AF customer service dept was gone for the day. I was told by DIYBBQ that I could contact American Fire directly if I choose. I contacted American Fire directly and they stated that the order had never been placed. American Fire contacted me on Wed, Nov 21st to state that the order was never placed from DIYBBQ and that he was going to drive the product directly the warehouse to be shipped. We had to call back DIYBBQ later that day, who said I have a tracking number for you, its waiting to ship today, and sorry, there is no guarantee on when it actually ships, didnt take responsibility from their ordering process and said that they were going to cancel our order all together and hung up on the customer. I was thoroughly disappointed with the process, the individuals involved and their inability to make a situation that was caused on their part ok. Their solution was to simply cancel the order and hang up. Find a different business to work with.
I have also called twice today. Left a message for customer service. Called earlier in the week and was told the ordering system was down. They were supposed to call when I could place my order. Still no answers.

Its ok though, there are a million outdoor kitchen places in Riverside/San Diego county, just pick one at random and they will be better than this place.
We bought a bbq island two weeks ago. I just Finnished the assembly. It was simple, straightforward, and a lot of fun. Best of all, i saved nearly $5,000.00. I couldnt be happier.Thanks diy bbq.
I have placed my order on April 28th and havent heard from anyone for 4 days. After my 2 emails and few phone calls (there is no live person to answer the phone and no way to leave the message) I got email the door will be shipped from manufacturer. 2 days after (a week after placing order) I receive email The doors are back ordered for 10 more days then they will ship. No name underneath, no apology, no hello. And this is all after my contractor has cut the opening exactly to size. Now I will have my annual party with the hole in the wall.Right after I send them email asking why it has not been stated on the website the item is backordered and asked either for discount or refund I got my paypal refund again without the word of apology.One of the worst customer service ever!!!

I’d give zero stars if I could. Horrible customer service. Have waited 2 months for a refund for an item I’ve returned. Do not buy anything from this company. Dishonest crooks.
