I came in for a few questions and left with a wealth of knowledge. I was even directed to go check eBay for a better price on a harder to find item (31mm Vintage Drag Wheel) that they could get in, but it would take a while. Great staff ready to answer your questions and not pushy at all. Bargaineers Side Note: They have a pretty neat dirt-cheap clearance section!
One of the few real hobby shops around, but has a good selection. The prices may be higher than what you could get online, but if you like to see a product in person and are willing to pay a little more for that ability this shop is worth it.
I was looking for replacement motors for my little quadcopter, the website said they had them so I figured Id call the store to see if they had them in stock. I call up on a Monday, the guy on the phone says they usually stock them but they were out right now. But they would be in on Thursdays truck, and that I should call on Thursday to see if the truck came in. OK no problem. I call on Thursday before I head up just to check, good thing I did, because, hey! Guess what? No motors. I live 30 minutes away so Im glad I saved myself the trip. So the girl on the phone says give me your name and number, and well order them for you. Theyll be on next weeks truck. I wasnt really wanting to wait a week, as I had already waited 3 days and had I just ordered online Id almost have my motors by now. But I wanted to support a brick and mortar local shop.So the following Thursday rolls around and I head up there because Im going to be in the area anyway. And low and behold, no motors! Not only no motors, but they never took my name down and nobody had a clue about my order. Then the guy looks at me and says if you leave your name and number well order them for you and theyll be here in a couple of days. And then proceeded to walk away.No thanks Ill just go to Amazon.
Ive been coming here since the DAY they opened. Ive been nothing but happy with their service. Wrong parts are never an issue. Sales o plenty. Ive purchased quite a bit here. The staff treats me like a normal person and interacts with me as a friend vs a customer. This store has come along way, I hope it keeps up as I know it will. Thanks Josh and Michael!
These people named Jacob p and Anthony m looked at my rc going through packages and Im not good at this stuff and go to find out it was the battery. These kids are a great crew

Drive to Temecula 40 mins and drive back to sdrc raceway and tried to charge it but batterys one cell is dead. Selling bad quality Lipo? Only Temecula have it on sale 50% off for Lipo battery that out of stock at San Diego but I return it at San Diego near to sdrc raceway than Temecula. Return took forever becuz of worker dont know how to use register to return my money back.Total waste my family n my time.Lesson learned that test battery with charger hook to autos battery to see if battery is good by at store parking lot then keep it and leave. If battery is bad then return it right here by store instead drive to home and found out battery is bad. Bought other battery at different hobby had no bad Lipo for me since until now. Not sure hobby people fault or LIPO brand name LHS is defective bad quality that I read other person review it one star becuz same problem. Hobby people should stop sell Lhs brand Lipo?
I have purchased a few items from this store and my experience has been just ok. When I ask questions the employees dont seem to know much about RC. Ive called for parts and they have no idea if they carry them. Im sure they do have a few knowledgable employees I just havent spoke to one. This is just my experience.
I went to hobby people last night (1/29/14) and waited by the parts counter for fifteen minutes before another older man walked up (i am nineteen). THEN did an associate walk up to not me... but him and ask to help him. Thankfully the man told him that i was here first, i was not that mad because i know what it is like to work in a busy work place even though it was dead in there. I asked for a simple part, the man spent no time looking for it and threw it on the counter then i told him i was finished and ready to check out so he proceed to help the other man and i waited an additional ten minutes by the register before i was helped just to get home to realize that he sold me the wrong part. I returned to hobby people that night, at 7:02 (2 minutes after closing) and they refused to talk to me. After they just saw me a half hour ago. I hope they like spit on their window. Never again will i go to hobby people and their shitty costumer service.
