I wish I could remember the name of the guy who helped us out, a fellow bassist. Very friendly and knowledgeable. The selection is decent. You can find a cheaper starter instrument, and pro-quality higher-end instruments and equipment, too. They also sell school band necessities, sheet music, used vinyl, t-shirts, and more.

Went there about a year and a half ago to look at getting a guitar and lessons. Staff was incredibly helpful and friendly in working with my schedule to find the best teacher for me and they did. Have purchased several guitars from them, along with a keyboard and other items. Everyone there knows the inventory and provides exceptional service. They have been great weekly therapy for me. Highly recommend.

I was VERY impressed with Counts Brothers Music! The store is awesome and they have tons of instruments, equipment, and accessories. All the employees I talked to were very friendly and super helpful. I bought a guitar amp and the price was much better than any of the online vendors. Family owned and operated is always better! I highly recommend them and I will definitely be back!

Been before years ago but when I went this time to sell, was really low balled and honestly talked out of a sale too. So normally good, but today was a confusing visit to say the least. The service was outstanding here. Nice warm atmosphere with helpful and eager staff make for an enjoyable visit. I will say that if you play a more classical instrument, such as a saxophone or trumpet, you probably wont find much here to satiate your needs. This is mostly a guitar shop, but they also sell things that are not guitars, like keyboards, drum kits, violins, ukuleles, records, misc. music accessories like straps and amps, and they even have a double bass//stand-up bass.One other thing, I believe that they do have lessons for some of the instruments they sell, but I am not 100% sure.TL;DR: Whether youve got a gig tonight and need some new strings or if you think a pick is just something you put in your hair, you can count on Counts to help you out. If you need a sousaphone mouthpiece, however, you might want to go somewhere else

My go to store. Knowledgeable and helpful. Use their luthier services and amp repair services. In the last two years have bought two acoustic guitars, one new tele pro, new vibrolux, cables and a new set of tama drums. I Never try to negotiate prices because I want our local stores to thrive. Im a weekend regular. This may seem silly but Im knocking off a star because for a regular customer who does spend money and not just kick tires they should throw in a little something every now and again. A t shirt, a cable. A guitar strap, etc. When i bought the drum set and acoustic on the same day i picked up 6 generic guitar picks for which I was charged. Personally I would thrown those in for free. Hope this doesnt sound petty and this will continue to be my store for as long as they will have me. This is meant as constructive criticism only.

This is my go-to music shop. Sure, theres Sound Shoppe and Alabama Music but Ive been going to Counts Brothers for almost 15 years and they have everyone in the area beat by a mile in terms of selection, prices, and service. As long as Counts is around, I wont go anywhere else!

Many instruments in there such as acoustic and electric guitars. They come at a reasonable price and the people also have guitar lessons available for around 70 a month, I think.
