Through internet made contact with Cliff, upon arrival was introduced to Courtney Lang. They had pulled the two cars (CX5), model and colors I had inquired about out for us to compare. Courtney was extremely helpful in explaining the differences. We took the Touring for a test drive and Courtney continued her help in explaining the features of the car. We found her delightful and offered no pressure. The CX5 model we wanted was not in their inventory so they were going to have to do a `locate`. As it turns out there was a model just arrived not yet ready for sale in the back. It was quite an upgrade and over our budget! However Beach Mazda was able to make the `deal` just a bit over our number and offered no pressure. The car is beautiful as it sits in our garage with 40 miles on it now. We had the easiest and most pleasant car buying experience with Courtney and the involved staff that day. Would highly recommend Beach Mazda!

Truly terrible service! Took 30 minutes trying to call and talk to the detailing department. EVERY TIME IT WAS A RUNAROUND. Highly inefficient and frankly disheartening! Seems this place doesnt care about customers with older cars. We were even straight hung up on! OLDER CAR OWNERS BEWARE!!!!
Wife went in to buy a 2020 CX5. Process was painless. Marcus and Chris worked with our price range and got us in the car we were hoping for. I decided to lease a CX-5 through Beach Madza, and the process could not have been easier to navigate. I never had problems with them until this year. I bought my car in North Carolina since this dealership did not have the car I was looking for but had I always been serviced at this place. I called and made an appointment for 1 o’clock with the assurance that it would be done in an hour or so as I had something to do later in the day. However when I got there I found out my appointment meant nothing! They made us sit there for an hour until they told us that we wouldn’t be serviced till the car that was bought at that dealership (who came in after me) was done and that it would be at least another hour wait before my car could even start to be serviced. I am furious as I think anyone else in this situation would be as I cleared my schedule with the assumption that they could keep their word and appointments. Wont go back there unless I absolutely have too
We were shopping for a Mazda CX-30 and came to see what inventory was in stock. The colors and car package we were looking for were not in stock. Salesman Andy McCullom exerted great effort searching for an available car that we wanted. He spent considerable time with us explaining packages available and highlights of all the new features offered. We were extremely pleased with his respect for us and treated us as customers should be treated. He is knowledgeable, professional and courteous. The service department at Beach Mazda is superior. Customer Service is tops at Beach Mazda. We ended up buying an in stock car and this is our second car purchase from Beach Mazda.

Was contacted by 5 different Mazda dealerships within a 250 mile radius after searching for a CX 5 on TrueCar. Beach Mazda does not participate in Truecar. I got a strong offer from Stokes Mazda in Pasadena, MD.After contacting Beach Mazda through their website explaining what we wanted and we are going to pay cash straight up, no games, no nickel and diming with TrueCar offers from other dealers, Bradley, the internet sale consultant game right out of the gate with a tremendous offer. This was my first time to bring my car here and totally disappointed. They got inspected and changed air bags for the car but after they done with car my check engine was on. Before I got checked the car I told them I have an issue with gas cap and sometimes it turns my check engine on but Nick Larson at service was totally rude and showed me the door like I was trying to screw him that’s what he said actually. All I was trying to understand was after they inspected the car maybe something they did turned the check engine on. But they threatened me like I’m a liar. I would recommend take photo of your car and dashboard light before you bring car here otherwise if they do something to your car they will reject and defend only themselves.
I had a very positive experience recently working with Beach Mazda to trade in my old car and purchase a new one. I valued my trade-in online and was contacted by the internet manager to see what I was interested in. I wasnt sure they had an automatic version of the car I wanted on the lot, but he let me know they did and was responsive to all my questions.I stopped by one afternoon and was immediately greeted by Vince. He was helpful, friendly, and not pushy. He was happy to show me the car I was interested in and let me test drive it right away. Since I wasnt quite sure the version I wanted, he suggested I go check the options out online, and return with the specs of what I wanted.I returned the next day with the printout, and they immediately started to search nearby dealers since they didnt have the color I wanted on the lot. He made it clear from the start they were option to negotiation and I found him really easy to work with. I left there feeling I had ample opportunity to pay a reasonable price and get the car I wanted (which is not how I felt at other dealerships in the area that I visited). I was able to drive away the next day in my new car and I love it!I would certainly recommend Beach Mazda to others!

I took out a 6 speed manual Mazda 3 for a test drive and he was extremely knowledgeable in everything on and in the car. Most importantly, he dealt with my manual driving skills, now that takes a patient man.

Had a good experience all the way up until numbers were being discussed. They low balled me on the trade in offer and when I had explained the offers that I still had in writing from other dealerships the salesman Todd went to get his sales manager. This guy who refused to tell me his name but proceeded to berate me about the condition of my vehicle, was extremely rude and disrespectful and accused me of extortion when I told him I’d be writing a review? I asked him numerous times to be respectful and he eventually asked me to leave and when I asked for his name he just screamed as he was storming off “ look it up!! “ avoid this dealership at all cost.
Would give zero because this is what the service department did for us. Took the car in with airbag light on. After over five hours, we retrieved the car after being informed they could not figure out what the problem was.However, they did suggest going on a fishing expedition to the tune of $900 which would not be guarantied to fix the problem. And yes, they did charge us for this service. Shame on you!

Where do I begin? Up until yesterday, 10/26/19, I owned a 2007 Hyundai Sonata that was showing it’s age and high mileage each and every day that I continued to drive it. A few weeks ago, I decided it was time to trade in my car for something newer and more reliable. Being that I was a Hyundai owner, I thought it would be fitting to go back to a Hyundai dealership to look at my options. I visited Myrtle Beach Hyundai which was nice, but they didn’t have the car that I wanted. I then visited Parkway of Wilmington and was treated terribly, which gave me a bad feeling in general about car shopping anywhere else. As a final attempt, I decided to go to Beach Mazda and test drive the Mazda CX-5. I did some research prior to going to the dealership and picked out a 2019 CX-5 Touring. I made a promise to myself that if I didn’t love the car after test driving, I would walk away. Within seconds of sitting in the car, I knew it was for me, but I was determined not to get my hopes up in case my experience in the show room reflected what has happened before at other dealerships. The sales manager, Chris W. sat down with me as well as Preston, my salesman, and allowed me to be transparent with them. I asked tons of questions, explained my past experiences, and told them what I wanted in order to leave with the car that I fell in love with and NOT ONCE did I feel judged or pressured. To make a long story long, Chris’s first offer to me was exactly what I could have only wished for. They took my 2007 Hyundai Sonata for more than any dealership would have and they pulled some strings in order for me to get approved because they knew how much I wanted that car. After 10 minutes of signing paperwork, I left with a 2019 Mazda CX-5 Touring! Thank you Beach Mazda for having faith in me and giving me the car I have wanted for so long. - A very happy customer
Most prospective buyers need time to become familiar with the trim levels on the various models. Often differences are confusing. The one common denominator for online review of similar models is the WINDOW STICKER. The current system used now makes comparisons practically impossible. For Example: Mazda CX 5 - Sport---Touring---Grand Touring - Window Sticker review makes it easy to discern differences in the trim levels. The current system is far to confusing and makes the consumer work too hard.
Everyone that works here is great, super personable and genuinely cares about the customer. 10/10 would recommend to anyone trying to find a good deal on a quality car. Ask for Hunter!

Amazing dealership to deal with. My 2098 Mazda MX5 broke down on my way home from work. I was able to get my car there late on a Friday. Without an appointment the service department was able to get my car in and repaired by Monday. The service manager Nick was very helpful and I was assisted by the sales rep, Todd Spiehler. Todd went out of his way to get me back on the road, even offering me a ride home.
Limited selection of MX-5s. No one stopped out to say hi when I was there Saturday. They were closed Sunday. Ill check in Charleston before trying them again. Maybe call ahead for an appointment.

I was greeted with a smile and a handshake as soon as I walked through the door. The sales staff of Jim Cole and Vince Clapp were extremely professional taking time to sit with me and walk me through my first car buying experience. I have bought 4 vehicles from Beach Ford / Mazda, three were Mazdas and the buying experience for the most part was very good. You do need to be an educated customer who knows what he is willing to pay to keep the dealership on track. Any car dealer will try to take advantage of you but as long as you stick to your wants and they are reasonable you will do well here. For trade ins know what your car is worth, realistically, be firm and the Dealer will be fair. 4 out of 5 of the salespeople I dealt with were knowledgeable and helpful. The internet sales women, whose name I can not remember when I bought my CX9 a year ago made the deal for the dealership. She was persistent and knowledgeableMy only real complaint was the financing. It was quick and easy however at the end I was convinced to forget the $500 bonus to go with the dealers financing and go with a lower rate from Capital. looking back it actually cost more and I felt the financial manager was pushing Capital for some reason.I will probably buy here again but I am a fairly knowledgeable buyer as well as very stubborn. With any car dealer you should come prepared and you will get a fair deal.

This is why Beach Mazda is considered to be one of the worst dealerships in Horry County. Never should you allow an inexperienced child whom is younger than I am portray themselves as a car salesman whom have no idea whom they are, let alone why he is there. We also ask for Vincent, one guy said he is no longer employed there and the other female said he was on vacation. Excuse me, what? Come again? So many false hope from a promising visit that turned out to be a nightmare. Back to the teenager salesman, no sense of direction at all. Beach Mazda needs to really up their game and get with the program.
I bought a Mazda 6 recently through Beach Mazda. My experience with Dorothy was great. We test drove one on the lot. Dorothy was very knowledgeable about the different trim and options and it is a little confusing because the same option is different from one trim to another. We asked them to find one that met our specs and they did. They actually brought in two. I got confused on the options and change my mind. Dorothy found another one that had exactly what we wanted. They gave us a good trade in value and a good discount off MSRP. Never was there a hard sales pitch. Our final meeting with the finance mgr took only 10 mins. I would recommend them.
I went to buy a Mazda CX-5 on 1-9-18. They checked my credit. I wanted to put zero down. I don’t have the worlds best credit so the sales person said to send him a copy of my pay stub the next day via text so they could see what they could do for me. I said no problem. We had to leave because we had to get my daughter. I didn’t send him my pay stub via text the next day because I wanted to handle everything in person so they knew I was serious. I went back on 1-11-18 to purchase the Mazda CX-5. The sales person I was dealing with came right up to me and said you never sent me your pay stub with an attitude. Never said hello. I said I know I wanted to do it all in person. I then asked him if I could see the Mazda CX-5 one more time to make sure I liked it and wanted to purchase it. He said NO because he wasn’t even sure if he could get me approved. Well maybe if he said yes and helped me he would have found out I was now going to put $5000 down. How are you just going to say NO!?!?! The sales person I was dealing with was Andrew B. from New York.

Traveled to Myrtle Beach on vacation. Ny CX-9 developed a clogged AC drain on the trip. An issue I woukd have fixed at home in 30 minutes . Beach Mazda fixed it with no issue. Pricing was fair. 30 minutes of labor was charged. Would use again if I lived in Myrtle Beach.

I am extremely pleased with the 2016 Mazda CX 5 Sport. I would suggest that you do your research about add ons, i.e., GPS and Sirius/XM Radio. It is not a standard feature on the Sport, but, comes with the Touring at an additional cost. I want to thank Chris, the New Car Sales Manager for his informative call this morning.
Id give a zero if I could.Let everyone be advised, you should know the service you will be getting before purchasing from Beach Mazda. By service I mean none. Their online schedule is booked for months. Their affiliate is booked for a over a week. The worst part is: they are doing nothing to reduce the backlog.I commute during the week, so getting to the service centers before 5:00 is impossible. There is ONE service tech on SOME Saturdays and you have to schedule an appointment. Ive tied to schedule, it will be FOUR months before I can get an appointment. I took time off work today and made it at 5:05, they close at 6:00. I was told they were not taking anymore cars. They had one vehicle in the garage and it looked like one tech working on it. They said they could schedule me for next week. I talked to the service manager, he apologized, but said they couldnt do anything about it. I asked if they were hiring more techs and he said no.
BEWARE OF THIS STEALERSHIP!!!! Ive dealt with this dealership multiple times. Especially the sales manager TONY MADDEN. This place will try to low ball you on your trade and get angry at you for questioning the price you are getting on your trade in. They dont like the educated consumer. Go somewhere else for a deal. This place is here to STEAL your money! They are crooks! TONY MADDEN is a jerk, he disrespected his employees in front of me as well as others. Dont really know how you get promoted to a sales manager with NO people skills!!

Unfortunately the system does not allow a lower rating. When I took my car in for a fuel smell they could not find the time to look at it for three days even with an open recall on the fuel system.
Not recommended. Ill tell you why. I filled out an appraisal my used car and gave me a quote of $5400. I then received a very friendly email from the online sales associate. He set up a test drive for a new car. He told me to ask for (not name dropping) salesman. He also called to verify the time and who I was meeting with. When I got there, I asked for that person I was told to ask for but I was told he wasnt even there and was set up with a saleswoman (again, no name dropping). She was very nice. But, that was it. Not very knowledgeable about the different trims or features besides the obvious ones like power windows. After picking the car i liked which was a Mazda6, I filled out the credit form and was told it was better to fill out two forms for me and my wife which is not true. So after about 45 minutes of waiting, the finacial manager who was not very personable at all came to talk to us. Because of our cedit (so he says) We needed to put down $2500 and offered NOTHING off the MSRP and offered $5000 for my trade in. He must have missed the appraisal. I asked if i can get more for the car and he said $200 max he can do. So he offered me a low appraisal, no rebates and a required down payment. Either this guy didnt want to sell a car or just thought I was stupid. So instead of helping out my finical situation and seeing what can do like call around to different lenders, he was basically like take it or leave it. So, I said, ill leave it. Then he was like, oh we have used cars you can look at that might be in your price range. Didnt even offer a lower trim or a cheaper version or anything. So i took my business to Nissan. I ended up with a 2015 Altima with a $750 rebate on the MSRP, free maintenance for 2 years, Lifetime powerstrain warranty, $6500 for the trade in, with ZERO down. Mazda didnt even try to sell me a car, they tried selling me a fincial plan that was bogus with no negotiation what so ever. They only had 10 new cars on the lot which was funny too. On a side note, the Altima was actually more comfortable than the 6.
