I saw where someone gave them a 2 on the rating but didnt list any work preformed. That rating was a fraud and apparently didnt even visit the place. At first it was thought that my car was low on Freon. It was determined that it was not Freon, but that I needed a new compressor. The new compressor could be ordered and installed the following day. My wife and I were staying at our condo 14 miles away and were trying to figure out the logistics of getting to and from for the repair. Kellie Phifer called her boss, Joe Johnson, and arranged for rides for us to and from our condo to get the car the next day. We were quite surprised to learn our driver was the owner! Our car was fixed promptly and at a fair price. The personal service was outstanding! I would recommend this shop to anyone. David Ziegler

Meineke Car Center was awesome! I had not ever used this business, but it was a wonderful experience. I learned of Meineke Car Center because it was an approved repair center for my recently purchased vehicle’s warranty. James fit me in immediately on a Friday afternoon because I was worried about being without a car over the weekend. Not to mention it was my first day owning the car so I was very disappointed to already be having an issue. Once the problem was identified, I was taken into the garage to see the issue under my car myself. James found a part asap, and had my car ready by the end of the day. I ended up not having to be without a car over the weekend and my car is running perfectly! I definitely recommend this business and will use them again.

Went there for patch on tire. They did not want to patch obly sell me a tire. Said it was not patchable,when in fact if they would of took tire off they would of seen tire had small hole, they just want you to spend more money with them. This place is a rip off, do not trust the scammers there! Go get second opinion,you will save alot of money!

We were in Myrtle Beach with our family. Our vehicle needed serious work before we go home. Meineke was able to get us in, fix our vehicle and get us on our way home. I had a tire that had a nail in it. I had taken the tire off already and was on my donut. I called them in the morning and I dropped it off in the afternoon. They did the repair exactly when they said they would and 20 mins later I received a message it was done and I could pick it up. They were helpful, quick, and very nice. It was of good value too since I have a tendency of getting things in my tires and this has been my best experience in getting one repaired.

Staff is very friendly! Called on Friday for an overheating issue and they were able to get me in the next day! I like that they are very transparent about their prices on parts and labor. As a women I always get scared if an auto repair shop will try and scam me, but they did not! The issues they told me about I already knew were issues in car, they are there to truly help and not overrun your pockets!

I am not the one who usually takes issues to the web. But this is ridiculous. I’ve dealt with meineke for as long as I can remember and I’ve never dealt with anything like this from them. Around a month ago. My starter went bad. My fiancé and I bought the starter took it to meineke and they replaced it. No issue. As usual. Well about 3 days later. It began dosing exactly what it was doing before we took it in. We called back. They scheduled a meeting the next day, had it fixed the exact day. Due to work I wasn’t able to pick it up until the next day. Before I even left the lot. I realized my AC is no longer working. I was upset not only because this is now the THIRD time I’ve had to bring my car. But also because it’s the middle of summer. In Myrtle beach, and I have a TWO year old. We called back, first off the lady who answered was rude and very sarcastic. We took it back. They apparently snipped a line or something. That was another $100 we didn’t have that we had to fork out. Now. Here it is a week later and my AC isn’t working AGAIN!!! I’m very disappointed and upset because like I said. I’ve never experienced this with meineke before. And I do understand the whole world is suffering finding reliable help. But when it comes to someone’s vehicle. You have to be a bit more cautious choosing your help. Get better meineke.

They did a good job on my car and I will recommend them just thought they where a little pricey customer service friendly. I always read reviews before I take my car anywhere if they get more than five bad reviews I don’t bother. Mechanics needs to realize people look at your reviews.

Terrible. Doesnt even deserve one star. Every location state to state terrible. Your word against their. Usually privately owned and wont stand behind their work. Bring the vehicle in for one thing and leave with 3 additional malfunctions with vehicle. They always mess something up that was working before the vehicle came to their shop. Its a trap and a scam. Company advertisements are bogus.

Everything was fine until I used my new wiper blades and one was smearing all over my window. It was dark so I couldnt tell until it was light out that something was attached. It was the plastic strip you pull off underneath that he forgot to take off. How can you forget one but not the other? I got an oil change as well and it took over an hour wait because they dont take appointments anymore.

I dropped my car off for an alignment issue at 8AM & at 11AM they called & said it was ready. The car drives straight now. They were nice & did not change the seat or mirrors settings. This was cost effective.

I came to South Carolina on vacation from Maryland and I had to come to this location to get my brakes fixed after having an emergency break. The manager Mr. James Cain was EXTREMELY professional and NICE!!! He advised me on my best options in my emergency situation and also had my service done as quickly as possible to get me back home! I also loved the fact that when I went to use the restroom in his establishment that he had a kids stool inside so that children will be able to reach the sink to wash their hands. In the middle of a global pandemic I find that extremely thoughtful and responsible. I thank Mr. James for his EXCELLENT service.

Spent almost $1000 to fix my 2006 Audi, they changed a few things, spark plugs (which mine were more than busted), coil packs which seemed to be fine and had a mechanic friend confirm that for me, and the PVC valve. They charged me twice for the diagonstic. From what the mechanic explained, it seems like they just follow a list of repairs based on the codes given to them. My car broke down the next day and wouldnt run for a while. They did say they did not fix the car completely but it was fine once it started running, yet my car misfired and shut off on 501. James was kind and patient with me but it was pricey for a fix that didnt fix my car. They are a pricey place that can get it done fast but dosnt seem to know foreign cars well.

This was my first time ever visiting a Meineke but it definitely won’t be my last. From start to finish my experience was superb. I initially took my car in because I knew without a doubt my break pads and possibly rotors needed changed. The store manager was friendly, forward and honest with me about Exactly what I needed, which was break pads and rotors. I was under the assumption I needed both my back and my front pads and rotors changed, and instead of trying to swindle me out of more money than I actually needed to spend, like most car repair stores do, he was very knowledgeable, honest and professional when he explained to me that I only needed my front pads and rotors done. He pointed out a few other issues with my steering joints and a few other things that he said would need to be fixed before too long but didn’t pressure me whatsoever to get them fixed right then. He even printed me out a summery of the things that needed fixed. From start to finish the process in getting my breaks fixed only took about an hour, which was honestly less time than I had anticipated. I will definitely be returning to finish getting the rest of the work that needs done on my car, soon. Overall, I would strongly recommend this place to everyone!

Getting ready to take a long trip and at 110700 miles it needed to be gone over front to back. Its now running a lot smoother and better gas mileage. Also had a tpm that needed to be retrained. Mechanic did a great job!

I have to vent, I recently moved here in july, 2020, I needed mechanical service, my friend recommended them, my air conditioning wasnt working, twice they fixed the problem, Ok I thought I found a good service place, fast forward needed simple oil change, 3 days trying to get in, no appointments, so come back certain times, 3 days nothing, Is that how you treat a customer, no loyalty, and inconsiderate to a persons time !!!!! Im through with Meinke at that location!!!!! You guys arent the only service car care, farewell you lost another loyal customer !!!!

I had my exhaust done from turbo back on my Jetta GLI and they did an excellent job. James showed me what all was involved and an estimated time. Set me up for the next day. Dropped my car off, and almost and hour earlier than he had told me. The car was ready. I had purchased my downpipe and cat-back exhaust from urotuning. And these guys did an exceptional job installing it and making sure everything was up to par. Months later returned to have some tires checked out that I had purchased with rims from someone. The tires felt they had defects in them. So James showed me all the defects in all tires. Recommended several options with different price ranges. Along with remounting and balancing. I chose the best tires along with the work. And work was started immediately. But I had a choice. I was not just shown the most expensive option and take it or leave it. I appreciate the work, honesty and professionalism from James and his team. My visits will continue. Thank you!

The staff of mechanics really know what they’re doing, and they pay attention to detail. Sometimes it takes a little longer, but they strive to do the job right.

I called first that morning and by 4pm my car was back on the road. GREAT customer service from Mark and the entire team.

I didn’t ask for the $75 oil change and was shocked when I received my bill for it. I usually pay $40 every other place including the dealership. They had my phone number, but chose not to ask and just gave me the most expensive one. Not cool especially when money is tight due to covid.

The manager was friendly and fast. I went to check in my AC which wasn’t working. Firestone said I needed to replace the entire system for $1300. I came here and they recharged system and added Freon. AC works fine. $80. Thanks guys

Called and was told an oil change would take 30ish minutes. So I went and saw many open stalls and an empty lot. I know this place is way overpriced but it was my day off work so I went for it. Took almost 2 hours before I was gone. Service manager really cool guy but really did not expect to be there soooo long

I made an appointment and they took me in on time. James is very friendly and helpful . He explained everything clearly for me. The mechanic took the time to cover my seat and streeing wheel with plastic so not to get greasy. All in all I felt very comfortable there. :-)

I have to come write a review in order to eat some humble pie. A few months ago I got a 17 year old car tuned up at this Meineke. These guys were great, fast, professional, and affordable. I cant remember the managers name, but while I was paying I told the manager Id be moving to Missouri soon and if he recommended any car dealers. He recommended one but also gave me sage advice that I should have the used car inspected by Meineke before buying it, and if the dealer didnt want to let me do that, I should not buy the car. I was hardheaded. I came back to my home state of North Carolina and purchased a used car from a reputable dealer here, but allowed myself to get so comfortable with that dealer that I didnt get the car inspected by a Meineke as recommended. Im paying dearly for that right now. I feel like a fool, but some people have to learn the hard way. I recommend not only having service done at this Meineke, but also have these guys look at a used car youre considering buying before buying it. Dont be me. These are good guys

Had them replace the compressor. Works ok but is very loud. No one there can hear it so I guess Im stuck with it until it fails. Used to be 5 star until I had an issue. Takes forever to get a call back, even from the owner. BEWARE of cheap parts probably getting what you pay for.

As I work for Uber I needed to get my car inspected for the ride share company to know that my car is up to full working condition, I walked in expecting to drop a lot of money I did not have, instead I got my car serviced and only had minor problems that were easily fixed and ran into an old friend. Recently had a flat tire and stopped in front of Meineke right before closing time. They weren’t able to service the car due to closing time; however they were extremely helpful in helping me switch out my flat tire for a spare. One of the mechanics, Bill, came out with his tools to help make process of changing out the tire effortless and quick. The next day, I gave them my business with installing a new tire. Great staff!

Had a 10am appointment, left car and returned at 1045, car had yet to be even touched. So I had to sit there for another 50 mins.I had been to 2 other area stores and had never had a problem not getting my car serviced in a timely manner.Employee did knock $7 off a $70 oil change, personally I think it should have been more.I will NOT be returning to this store at all.

Great experience! Bill was very friendly and knowledgeable. We had a crack in our radiator which Bill diagnosed within 5 minutes. He repaired our truck in the time he quoted. While he was working on it he noticed we had a worn serpentine belt and offered to replace it for no additional labor charges. Great place to deal with! James was the manager on duty and was also very accommodating and pleasant. If we ever need repairs at the beach again this will be where we go! Thanks again guys!

I got a low tire pressure light on my way to work. I stopped by Meineke on George Bishop Parkway on the way home. The guys were finishing up for the day but had someone check my tire pressure. One tire was low so they checked to see if I had a nail. I did. They repaired my tire immediately and I was on my way!! Thank you Meineke, Dave and the young man who fixed my tire!
